Blogging Inspiration
For the longest time, I have basically found the ideas for my blogging using sources like fark.com, foxnews.com and drudgereport.com.
There was a time when a great deal of my post ideas came from conversations I was having with my wife while we were walking at night. Other times I have used topics that came up on the radio while I was driving to work in the morning.
Where do you tend to get the ideas for your posts?

My brain.
I don’t really talk to people, you know?
My blog is my journal, so I get them from every day life.
Conversations I’ve had or just whatever is on my mind.
The daily grind.
dumb things people do, esp. when it’s me being dumb.
life and magazines.
Alex Jones, coworkers, friends, etc.
Your stretching for new sources now, aren’t ya….c’mon…admit it.
I often get ideas from topics discussed on the radio, as well.
From my interactions with people and the opinions/feelings I end up with after such interactions. Ha, at least that’s what I think …
Pot.
daily events or something that is really bothering me, usually. Or something that I’m thinking of doing and want opinions on. Really just whatever is on my mind.
Outerspace in the next galexy.
Like I will tell anyone my secret. Sheesh.
My big brain.
The news, the world, people. =o
For my other blog; my life and my faith.
Miscellany of everything.
My ideas usually come late at night and bug me until I blog about them. Ideas can come from reading or arguments, but they’re usually pretty random. My madness doesn’t really have a method.
Well, sometimes I will get ideas because of a show I watched or stuff I see online. A lot of times ideas just pop into my head.
things that tick me off, and my life.
Life and things that happen.
What’s going on in my life, this quirky little village I live in, my family and weird (mostly local) news.
Facebook, friend’s lives, my personal life, news stories…
My Blogging is just me. everything around me what is going threw my mind. its is just me taken from everyday life. My life.
A lot of it comes from my life, but quite a bit comes from right here on xanga. I will read someone’s blog and be like, yeah but… so I will go write about my take on an issue.
I don’t know… My life, my thoughts, my driving need to converse about things with people who actually think–not always intellectual conversation, just thoughtful ones. People in real life–they don’t really “get” me. I’m not shy or anything, I’m just… I don’t know. I think differently.

I usually get inspiration from my daily life..
My own philosophical musings
Things that happen in my life. Like my arm nearly falling off today.
Interactions from others. Love. Embarrassing situations that happen to me (that works out for blogging a lot). Random stuff I think about during the day. Stuff I observe in school. College. A little mix of everything really. Lately, mostly me having to deal with awkward situations.
Everrwhurr.
@joyouswind - Wha?! Ohh man that sucks. I hope you’re better now! <3
Everywhere. Work, caching, other Xangans, friends…
My friends, stupid things come up and usually become interseting things to post!~
Never you
life in general hehe
life is crazy enough to blog about :p
Random thoughts….just random….
Whatever’s running through my mind usually.
My entries are really close to random things running through my head as I talk to people, read the news, or simply see things. There is usually something I can write about if feel like writing.
It is not all good but thats me
I just type whatever comes up in my head.
My life… it’s always something that in some way is a personal issue. I view my blog as a journal, so I write exactly what I’d write in my journal… hopefully people don’t mind too much
Life.
They always say, “write what you know”. I know how to be single, so my writing is mainly about the mystery of human courtship.
From seeing interactions with/between people. Always.
I get it from anywhere.
Dreams, schemes, & lunacies per diems
Interesting post. I was just excoriated for using a personal conversation as fodder for a blog post, even though the subject is of current national relevance…
then i got one from an email someone sent me with a video in it…
sometime I have a hard time but they just tend to come out, usually in the morning, cuz I gotta vent. I need to develop better habits of composing off line and not blogging live…
That got me thinking…. what is a blog, is it personal or are we writing for an audience? I often have a metablog about why I blog and blogging in general…
what is it and what are we doing here. I can’t tear myself away from myself yet I want to so badly….
Too bad that Locke, Hume, and Descartes aren’t here today to talk about the blog as extension of the self and what exactly we are doing here and if it is any different from the previous written media….
Do you happen to know?
Anything that strikes me.
From me… usually crap I want to write about. I post lamebook/failbook stuff sometimes cause it’s quite funny. CNN sometimes if I see something wtf-worthy. Random other things.
I steal from you jk
The left hemisphere.
Most of mine are just old memory dumps, others are just whatever comes to mind in my day to day ramblings.
@Rob_of_the_Sky -
Anything that won’t leave my head usually gets left on my blog.
There was a time when a great deal of my post ideas came from conversations I was having with my wife while we were walking at night.
Where is the collective AWW for that.
yeah I don’t usually blog. maybe when im pissed or when people tell me to.
I get all kinds of ideas just during whatever I am doing.
Sit down at the computer and forget all of them.
I think that my memory is shot.
Things I read on CNN, my life, or God.
From the cacophony of racket bouncing around in me wee little head.
The voice in my head.
My stories, my parents’s stories, everyone’s stories, and the Bible. Everything is inspirational if you make it out to be – at least that’s what I believe….the future ;]
I’ll go through my own personal hell of pain and loneliness to make sure that things are provided for and ends are met, but hey – we all need a quick break sometimes. But only a quick one..which reminds me ..back to work!
My experiences,random/relevant (brain processing) hehe and occasionally the radio, TV
104.1 KRBE? or Sunny 99.1?
From the thoughts in my head. you would almost think I’m schizo.
My inspiration can come from anywhere. My life, the news, my imagination. Its a pretty mixed bag.
Usually natural disasters, mostly weather related. Which is why I don’t get a lot of comments…
Faux News? That foreign-owned propaganda machine? Well, of course you’d swallow that crap whole. Have fun with your Kool-Aid.
life. my relationship with God. the news. study of theology. interest in politics. interest in history. what I am reading. pop culture. tv. movies. conversations. random thoughts.
@ShimmerBodyCream - Blog.
Nine kids, nine horses, six dogs~ and one meteorologists. Real life rocks~ and keeps me out of the rocking chair.
My soul. *insert comment of trying too hard to be philosophical here*
Running out of ideas now, eh?
I put a bunch of monkeys in a room with computer keyboards, and the posts just start coming.
My life experiences for the most part. Occasionally from conversations with people or the news though.
@NightCometh - So just leave you alone.
Honestly, just life.
Pretty much everyday life, for me. I just pay extra special attention to the things around me. I am pretty good at narrating and writing creatively, so putting them in a narrative is not so difficult.
Great post.
I’ve asked me that lots of times, but me never gives I a straight answer.
As soon as I/me figures it out, you’ll be the first to know.
I get mine from thinking a lot or from recent events have affected me.
Sometimes I find stuff to write from the media as well.
I steal them from other bloggers.
Current events, interesting things from my daily life, and other random things.
Personal experience, news sources, and sometimes other bloggers inspire me to write on a subject.
life
my head
I’ll get some ideas while I’m working out on my treadmill.
Ebay.
Honestly, my depression.
Mine is more of an art blog, but when I want to get inspiration I end up browsing other blogs/art and see how and what they are doing content/composition wise. Maybe there is a topic on another blog that you find interesting and want to write a reaction to their entry. It is hard to be on all the time. Especially, when the news sometimes doesn’t always help because they like to go over the same issues or story over and over again.
something someone else posts or something that happens to me at work. Every once in a while something on the news.
some obscure corner of my brain..
