Are Bodybuilders Attractive?
When I see guy bodybuilders, I always think that I would love to look like that.
And yet when I see a women bodybuilder, I would never want a woman like that.
Do you find the bodies of bodybuilders attractive?

Nope. Muscles can be attractive, but… bodybuilders look unrealistic and frighten me.
When I see guy bodybuilders, I always think, “I would love to be even half that buff.”
Yet when I see women bodybuilders, I think… “I would love to be even half that buff (but still a dude).”

Not in my personal opinion. I prefer fit men with a little comfortable padding to lay on. Super skinny/buff men are just not appealing to me.

I like muscles but not too much. There are some people who get the mass with dedication & hardwork & lead normal lives. Pro bodybuilders dedicate their lives solely to that & take so many steroids & other drugs to keep it. That scares me more so than how they look.

I don’t necessarily want a female bodybuilder. I would love a fitness model – basically just as cut but not as muscular. I’ve noticed over the years that I want a girl with a hard body. When I touch a girl’s stomach and it’s soft fat, even if she’s really thin…it’s actually a turnoff.

Body builders are a bit freakish. They take the beautiful human form and turn it into a caricature. When women body builders take steroids the distortion of feminine beauty becomes a grotesquerie.

No, it’s too much.
It looks exaggerated, which looks unnatural… and unnatural = unhealthy, like anorexia or obesity, and unhealthy is unattractive by default as a part of our built-in survival instinct. We don’t want an unhealthy mate, and we don’t want our mate to become unhealthy.
I think the vast majority of people would not want a body builder of either gender for reasons they may not even be fully aware of except that one look = repulsion in the form of, “Eww… gross!”

First of all, it is possible to be a body builder (a damn good one) and NOT take steroids. My best friend, both of her parents are body builders and I can say without a doubt that those wonderful people are steroid free. Just because they’re very buff doesn’t mean they’re on drugs.
And second of all, for me personally, no, I don’t find the body builder physique to be attractive, but I can understand why other people do.
I’d never want to look like a body builder…. If my wife looked like a female body builder, I wouldn’t like it either.

I think its nice when a woman has enough muscle to do regular stuff like jumping lifting up things
running and regular fitness activities. I don’t think body builders are natural
they inject themselves with steroids and it makes them unnaturally strong…. But competitive fitness is another thing

I think women in general want someone who is fairly lean but also muscular. IFBB Bodybuilders are of course the extreme of this, but most of them took a number of enhancers to help them to get to that level and this applies to both men and women. And even with that, you’d still have to train for a shitload of years before looking even half as big Ronnie or Jay.
@deadbeatr0mance - Whoa fatty, relax. Just gently, with the tips of your fingers, try to move the fatty folds of your eyelids so you can look all around you… this nation is grotesquely obese, they could stand to lose a couple of pounds and aspire to bodybuilders.

No, I think bodybuilders looks unnatural. There are different extremes of fitness. I like a little abs and some muscles, but bodybuilders takes it way too far.
As a female bodybuilder and follower of the sport, I have to say that the top physiques in the game are unquestionably impressive. Personally, I prefer the look of the earlier Olympias – Arnold Schwarzenegger, for example, is called The Oak for a reason. His physique was everything beautiful and balanced in the sport. Today, the sport has shifted to focus mainly on shocking mass than on symmetry and superior form. As for females, you may not know this, but there are several classes of female bodybuilders: Classic, which is what you most likely think of first (big, bulky, highly masculine forms) though impressive, are hard to put under the label “attractive.” There is also Fitness, which includes the gorgeous Trish Warren (her husband Branch is also a professional bodybuilder) which entails a high level of athletic performance, therefore, these women are less muscular, but still quite toned and very athletic looking. There is then Figure and the newest Bikini class – look up Marzia Prince for a perfect example. Jessica Paxon-Putnam is another of my favorites in the sport.
The bottom line is, the sport is intimidating and honorable at the same time, but in speaking of attractiveness, it cannot all be lumped together under the term “bodybuilders,” though that is essentially what is being done. There are many classes and types of physiques in all the major shows. Just check them out – I bet you’ll be impressed!! And for more women who may break your idea of a typical bodybuilder, see Jamie Eason, Alicia Marie and Ava Cowan, to name just a few.
