Having been on xanga for over 5 years now, I have seen a great deal of drama. So with all of this time of observation, I would like to pass on a little insight in what I have learned on how to avoid drama.

# 1 Never mention someone in a post by name in a negative way.
Example: Say I thought DearRicky was an overrated blogger who plays on the emotions of women and uses his handicap to get sympathy. I would avoid saying that. Instead, I would mention “Some people just use their handicaps for sympathy.” Do you see how I avoided the drama? By simply not mentioning DearRicky’s name, I kept myself safe.
# 2 Never point out grammar or spelling mistakes.
Example: If I came across Trunthepaige’s post and noticed that she spelled “inteligense” wrong, I would not point it out. I would simply respond to the post and address the topic.
# 3 Never comment on a post involving a fight on xanga.

# 4 Do not attempt to webcam with Maniac_Rose.
# 5 Never make fun of fat and ugly people. (No link on this one).
# 6 Resist the temptation to make fun of the Pope. Some people are sensitive about the creepy guy. (Megan)
# 7 Never point out to a washed up comedian that he has no chance to make it in comedy and his posts are never funny. (VaneDave)
# 8 Do not point out to someone on xanga that there is no hope they will be a writer who sells more than 500 books to their closest friends. Here is the link: Link
# 9. Always assume the person on xanga really is dead. Talk about what a wonderful person he/she was.
Follow these simple rules and you will avoid xanga drama just like me.
