How to Identify Asians On Xanga
I am sure you have all run into the problem of thinking that all Asians on xanga look alike. Fortunately, I found this little helper that would aid you in telling what type of Asian you are dealing with on xanga. You can see if the Asian is a Jap or a friend.
Just click on the photo.
The Japs tend to be hesitant, nervous in conversation. They even laugh loudly at the wrong time. Here is the link: Link
I hope you will never again confuse a Jap with a friend.

Hahaha, wtf?
LOL
hahahaha i wonder if people could tell if i’m a jap. some of my best lovers are japs. did i say that? ooops
umm…ok?
@TheGildedCage - not funny, huh?
LOLWUT?
I remember seeing that in one of my history classes.
WADDA RACIST YOU ARE.
Later, of course, America was friends with the Japanese and enemies of the Communist Chinese. I guess they just used the advice in reverse in the 1950s.
Asians…meh.
You’ll get in trouble for this!
I… just… I don’t even… what?
Why do we need 1941 all over again? Are they using too much oil again?
@hilaw - No. I don’t really get it. Probably one of the lamest posts I’ve seen Dan do in quite some time.
This was actually probably somewhat helpful in a time of worldwide fear. The Japanese WERE the enemy, and the military guys needed to recognize them. People were afraid of spies.
@grammarboy - ditto
I’m still trying to figure out where I belong. Clearly I need to find an anthropologist to figure out whether I’m Chinese or Japanese.
Oh. WWII. XD
You can identify an Asian on Xanga by the ones who use emotions such as -_- XD, etc. It’s not a sure thing, but it seems those are much more prominent in Asian culture.
@TheGildedCage - i read it as a parody. and there are people who really can’t tell asians apart–who is japanese, chinese, korean, etc. and even forget about that–some people probably can’t tell one asian person from another. it’s…um interesting.
One thing all the Asian guys have in common, however, is that they are forever running from their mothers. I wonder why that is?
*is a mixture of both*
Ok Alex, walk for me.

What about Koreans?!
Wow that was in Time Magazine……..
The Japanese walk stiffly erect? I wanna hang out with them..
They “dry up” as they get older? I’m Japanese and I didn’t know it!
Wow… XD
I have no idea what this is about.
War propaganda
lol
humorous
It’s funny when it’s you huh?
@oxyGENE_08 - Ahn nyoung!
What is this I don’t even…
People confuse me for Japanese all the time.
I saw something like this in a museum about WWII when everyone was afraid of Japanese and there were pamphlets telling people how to tell the difference between Japanese and Chinese. My dad read them when he was a kid and actually believed some of what was written.
LOL this was used after the bombing at pearl harbor. we were shown it in history class. it sounds funny now, but back then…
we need to be reminded that this happened. that’s the other point.
I take it this was some form of profiling they did post Pearl Harbor during WWII?
@npr32486 - Ahn nyoung haseo hyeong! =p
Well, you know what they say about American, we all look alike, too. And your point being?
Dan, I bet you were a brat growing up. You were the kind of kid that provoked a fight between two kids just for entertainment.
Wow this is hilarious. LOL.
Lol!
Lol. Nice.
Does calling someone a Jap make him a racist??
i think some of the people here missed the fact that this was an article in time magazine in 1941 during the war, but i find it hilarious.
@npr32486 - 안녕하세요
@Gaijinsays - It seems so..according to Dan
ehhhhhhh………..I don’t know?
This is horrible!!!! Does it really matter? (back then, I guess it did but it was still wrong then. Kinda like how I have some of my Indian friends being mistaken for Iranian or Iraqi.)
wow, when you think about this, it makes you think how much of an advantage the japanese had in determining who their enemies and friends are.
Haha Try Me.
Gotta love propaganda! Great find. The outcry from your commenters hopefully shows that as a nation we’ve grown past this.
Saying “Jap” especially when your not jap is kind of offending..
I’m only half..but I’m offended by this whole post..
But your great at being blunt and I like most of your posts so its okay, hahahahaha(Did I laughed loudly at the wrong time?)….
I wonder what people will think of today’s way of thinking in 50 yrs? will it be like how we look at this piece of article from 1941? I can usually tell if someone is japanese, korean, or chinese by the way they dress, japanese fashion is very distinguished…and calling someone a “Jap” is definitely offensive, don’t do it.
