Jennifer Aniston was recently giving an interview where she was talking about what area of her body was the hardest to keep in shape.

You ever realize how much we criticize the xanga team?
Sure xanga has not kept up with Facebook. But then again, neither has google now.
I am convinced that whoever helped xanga grow in the beginning is probably no longer even with the xanga team.
But day in and day out the xanga team comes back and works hard to keep this place running. I am sure they wish xanga would grow too. I am sure they could all list 100 features they wish they could add. Facebook has a team of 1600+ employees adding features.
But day in and day out the xanga team has to hear all of the haters. They don’t get to respond to the attacks.
But they still get on xanga and do their best to keep this place running. And we get to have all this fun every day because of their efforts.
Thank you Xanga for keeping this place running so we can all come on here and have fun.
I read a post by Lobornlytestthoughtpalace and she is claiming xanga banned her IP address.
I have been on xanga for 6 years and I think that the most common reason xanga blocks an IP address is because the person creates multiple xanga sites and then attacks people with those sites.
So I was reading Loborn’s post and she indicated that xanga “pulled” her IP and she indicated it was because “I guess I p***** off one too many atheists-posing-as-Christians over here and at Revelife.“
I doubt it had anything to do with atheists or her being Christian.
Judging by what xanga has done in the past, she was either trolling Revelife really bad or she created multiple sites to harass people and she did it from the same IP address. So xanga blocked the IP address.
I can remember one time when I think xanga blocked an IP address on accident and they quickly corrected it. So perhaps they are sending a nice little message to Loborn and saying, “Don’t spam the ish sites because we make a profit off those sites” or they are saying to her “Don’t create multiple accounts and harass people.”
Something tells me they will unblock her IP in a short time and they will communicate in private to her what she did wrong and ask her not to do it again.
I am only saying this in public because I know xanga will not defend themselves against this false accusation.
If xanga blocks an IP address because a person has created multiple sites to harass people, they are doing that for the good of the community. For example, you would not want someone creating multiple accounts and harassing you.
So before we get all upset and start bashing the Xanga Team, perhaps we might wonder if xanga has any other option but to block the IP address of a spammer here and there.
Today I want you to take the time to thank James Earl Ray for your day off.
Without him, you would have to work or go to school. He assassinated Martin Luther King who was involved in the civil rights movement. And because of that assassination, you get a day off.
Now in most cases, we don’t take off complete days for one single person in the U.S. You have Jesus. We get two days for Him. We celebrate His birth. We also celebrate the fact He was risen from the dead. But Jesus was God and He was involved in creation and He came to the Earth to die for our sins. That is a pretty big deal.
But the rest of our holidays do not center around a person. You have Thanksgiving which revolved around the successful stealing of Indian land. You have Memorial Day which is all about remember those who sacrificed for our country with their lives.
But only Martin Luther King gets a national holiday dedicated to him. We get a day off because James Earl Ray assassinated Martin Luther King and white guilt causes us to sort of make up for it.
I am not sure that Martin Luther King’s contribution was significantly greater than so many others who even died for our country. If you have any black friends (or you just happen to see one), make sure you mention the important contribution of James Earl Ray. They will appreciate your sense of history.
Be sure and take time today to reflect on James Earl Ray and his contribution to your day off.
I was talking to Roadlestaken the other day at the Houston Xanga meetup.
He asked questions like who are some of my favorite xangans. I mentioned some of my favorites over the last 6 years and I mentioned that many of my favorites had left (no offense against any of you).
He then asked me why I stayed on xanga.
I think it is a natural question. So many others have left for other blogging communities and people have drifted to Myspace and now to Facebook. We talked about how many of our original friends on xanga left.
