Ashamed of The Song
This morning I was pulling up to work and I was playing a Michael Jackson song and it was loud enough for a guy to hear. He said, “So you like Michael Jackson?”
What musician or song do you like that you are ashamed of?

I rather enjoy Taylor Swift’s songs. I’m not too embarrassed to say it, but still.
I have a few Backstreet Boys songs on my iPod, and 3 Hilary Duff Songs…maybe someday I’ll make an “Embarrassed I Actually Like This” playlist.

I don’t really have one I’m ashamed of. Of course I listen to Britney Spears, Nsync, and Will Smith on a daily basis.. lol

Hmm, I’m not really ashamed of much of my music. I guess I’d have to say that there are a few country songs I enjoy that shame me because they imply hick-ness. But I don’t own them.

Nothing. If someone doesn’t like my music it is their problem, not mine. The only stuff I do not like is most of the rap songs I have ever heard. But I have over 4400 songs in my ipod, from classical to gospel and everything in between. I dearly love music and am not ashamed of that fact. As a matter of fact, it usually irks me when anyone presumes to have the right to shame me for anything. If I think something, anything, is worth doing, I will have already decided that it is not worthy of shame.
Michael Jackson is awesome! He was a scary dude, but he had talent. I sometimes listen to Lady Gaga. And Taylor Swift. Hanging head in shame.

I regularly listen to *Nsync and I’m not at all ashamed of it. They’ve gotten me through some pretty tough times.. so I love them and still anxiously await a reunion tour! I’d buy tickets soooo fast!!
But I think the answer to this question would be Dashboard Confessional. Of course, I totally love the music but it’s so emo and just “whoa is me…” that I feel awkward when I’m playing it when anyone else is around. @TheGiantSlayer - “kiss me”? That’s the song, right… no worries, it was a pretty big hit. The movie was awesome too.. yep, I said it!
@Ro_ad808 - Little known fact… Ke$ha has a song she did before she was the hot mess she is today and it’s actually pretty great. Sure, it’s a little pitchy in places but I think that’s part of why it’s so great.. it’s just raw and unplugged and I love it! It’s called “goodbye” if you wanna check it out 
I’m not ashamed of anything I listen to. If someone gives me lip about something they don’t like about my tastes; I’ll emphasize it for them (unless they’re genuinely polite about it).
I think I have a few ” embarrassing ” things… I don’t really get embarrassed over music on my ipod. My music is really random and all over the place , but so am I ..I think a good song is a good song no matter what.. And even if a song isn’t good you gotta admit somethings are just catchy even if they lyrically suck.

There is nothing shameful about liking Michael Jackson’s music. It’s not as embarrassing as liking Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga or some other flavor of the month. Jackson was a genius of entertainment and his music is respected worldwide in some cases after 30 years.

Lately I’ve been listening to Kanye West. I hate Kanye West, but apparently not *all* of Kanye West. I think I like it in the same way that I like Ke$ha when I’m completely wasted.
I have a soft spot for a few Spice Girls songs…they take me back to my younger days.

I have two Lindsay Lohan CDs and four Hilary Duff CDs. I started collecting them when I was in 6th grade. I used to love them… and I still listen to those CDs when I’m bored. Embarrassing? Definitely!
I’m never ashamed of what I’m playing, although I do turn the volume down at stoplights as a courtesy to other drivers. I gladly sing along to great songs, and don’t care if other drivers see me. I even had a carload of people join at while singing along to The Safety Dance once. Music crosses all boundaries!
