The King’s Speech
My wife and I are going to see The King’s Speech tonight. Everyone is saying it is a good movie.
Here is a list of the movies playing:
1. Black Swan
2. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
3. Country Strong (We saw this and it wasn’t too bad).
4. The Dilemma
5. The Green Hornet
6. Gulliver’s Travels
7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
8. The King’s Speech
9. No Strings Attached (My wife and I saw this and it was pretty good).
10. The Tourist
11. Tron: Legacy
12. True Grit
If you had to choose between the above movies, which one would you see?
Comments (66)
Seen 4 of them. I’ll probably watch True Grit, Green Hornet, and King’s Speech. I’m well overdue for a nice western.
Of these I’ve only seen ‘The King’s Speech’ and I thought it was an amazing movie. I came out of it actually liking the royal family, which is something for an Irishman to admit.
The King’s Speech!
The King’s Speech sounds like some great history, but to get me into a theater takes an epic film. Though most of the films in your list are indubitably great entertainment I’m going to wait for the DVD.
Football in the Groin
The Black Swan or The King’s Speech.
Already saw #’s 2, 10, and 12.
Hope you and your wife enjoy the movie and a great night out!
HUGS!
I saw Harry Potter. I wanna see The Black Swan, True Grit and King’s Speech as well as the Green Hornet. Lol
Black Swan was really good.
1, 2, 5, 8. Maybe 11.
I didn’t know that some of these were out already. I think I’ve been living underneath a rock
The Green Hornet!! Asian pride!
1. The Kings Speech- heard it was really good
2. Black Swan- heard it was twisted but worth it
3. True Grit- already saw it, was a pretty interesting movie. Wouldn’t see it for “fun”
4. Tron Legacy- has to have some mindless entertainment value
@aznspartan94 - eh…Jay Chow’s okay as an actor. heard the plot is so/so. could be fun though
@godfatherofgreenbay - the simpsons?
@thedevilandgod - It looks like a good time passer at least. Nothing like some cool gadgets and explosions to take your mind off midterms.
An inspiration to all those with speech impediments.
I’ve been wanting to see True Grit for ages, but I only want to see it with my dad and he keeps backing out.
Loved, LOVED the King’s Speech. Be interesting to see if you appreciate it.
I’ve seen HP twice. I would see either The King’s Speech or No Strings Attached.
Tron Legacy
I am staying away from the movie theater. $10 a movie is a bit pricey, and some only show in 3D and then it’s $14 dollars.
I put #12 on order from the library.
I’d like to see The Green Hornet.
We’ve seen True Grit and The King’s speech. Both very good flicks.
None.
I heard that True Grit was great, but I saw John Wayne in True Grit and I can’t imagine anyone replacing THE WAYNE!!!
King’s Speech, Black Swan, or True Grit.
I would like to see The King’s Speech. Also Narnia, but I can wait for the video.
I saw Black Swan. I’ll probably rent No Strings and interested in King’s Speech. My bf saw Tron, and said if you saw the original, you’d probably like it.
Y’know for once, there’s actually more than one on that list I’d want to see. There’s actually quite a number of them! If I was going by myself or with my mom, I’d see The King’s Speech. If I was going with my husband, I’d probably have a tough choice between Tron and Green Hornet.

Probably The Kings Speech.
The King’s Speech
Q*Bert in the movie theater arcade.
I’ve watched The King’s Speech and Black Swan. I’d go with True Grit.
i’d go watch harry potter again.
The King’s Speech if with husband. Black Swan if with chicks. Saw True Grit and it was awesome.
I would like to see King’s Speech a Second Time before seeing other’s a first. IT WAS THAT GOOD!
I’d like to see The King’s Speech, True Grit and Country Strong…but most of all I have to see the King’s Speech
The King’s Speech
@godfatherofgreenbay - isn’t that a Hans Moleman production?
True Grit was good, but The King’s Speech was better.
black swan
Definitely Black Swan.
We LOVED the King’s Speech.
I am going to see “The Black Swan”.
Narnia, without a doubt! I just saw an ad for it today, and it is in 3D!!!!!! 3D is *so* much fun to watch on the big screen!
Black Swan & No Strings Attached because I have a crush on Natalie Portman
xo’
I’ve seen Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia. I’d probably go see tron but I guess this is because I need stress reliever in life.
Blue Valentine.
Tron, but I’m waiting till it comes to 2-D in the dollar theater. I refuse to pay extra for 3-D.
Either The King’s Speech or Black Swan.
Seen Tron and Harry Potter. Will go and see the Green Hornet with my eldest son.
not on the list, see The Fighter it was SO good.
No Strings Attached
The king’s speech. It’s incredible.
None of them take my fancy
I saw The Chronicles of Narnia…it is a great movie! And I want to go see The King’s Speech…today I am going to see Vicky Cristina Barcelona by Woody Allen.
There are four that interest me: “The King’s Speech,” “Narnia,” “Gulliver’s Travels,” and “True Grit.”
Narnia
True Grit. But I’ve seen the others.
maybe black swan…
so how was it?
I want to see the Green Hornet. I’m into comedies. :]
I want to see the King’s Speech and True Grit.
Black Swan and True Grit were both fantastic. Of the things I haven’t seen, The King’s Speech is at the top of my list.
Last went to a movie theater in 1977. Would like to see The King’s Speech when Netfix has it.
8. The King’s Speech
I may go to see “The King’s Speech” tonight or tomorrow night — it is the only flick on the list that I would consider seeing in a theater.
“The King’s Speech” has been getting such good reviews from sources outside of Hollyweird that I may go to see it in a theater tonight or tomorrow night. I haven’t paid for movie tickets in at least two years. (I’ll certainly see the new version of “Tron” and the latest (last?) Harry Potter installment when it comes out on premium CATV or DVD. See my comments in my replay to the “How To Get Free Movies from the Redbox” post as to why I also have never subscribed to any video rental service.)
I’m visiting an elderly relative and she has expressed interest in seeing “The King’s Speech” but doesn’t like to drive at night, nor do most of her friends in the area. This might be one of the few movies we could both enjoy.
– ApocalypseSoon
P.S. If our Clueless Leader gets tossed in 2012, maybe we won’t face the Apocalypse in that year and I’ll have to come up with a new username. *GRIN* That would be work I’d look forward to!
