I <3 Justin Bieber
I feel so sorry for this kid in the same way I felt sorry for Miley Cyrus.
If you think about it, they are just young kids who are famous. And it feels like some people are just waiting for them to do wrong. Who is a bad person? Miley Cyrus? For what? Nothing. The people that want these kids to fail are the people that are bad.
This Justin Bieber kid made a comment about abortion. (He is a singer for those of you who are out of touch like me).
He said, “”I really don’t believe in abortion. I think [an embryo] is a human. It’s like killing a baby.” He was then asked about rape as it relates to abortion and he said, “That’s just really sad, but everything happens for a reason.” Here is the link: Link
So now the kids gets called “stupid” and a bunch of other names. Why? Because he took a pro-life position and then worded something the wrong way giving people the opportunity to interpret his words that maybe even rape happens for a reason.
The only thing he is guilty of is being a famous kid. Can you really blame him for that?

Haters tick me off, like you wouldn’t believe!!!
I like his hairdo.
I didn’t get asked those questions when I was 16
I feel sorry for him too. Give the kid a chance to grow up and learn some things before pinning him down on something like that, which he probably never even thought of before. I always liked Miley too.
Too much pressure….i worry about where he’ll be in 10 years
A lot of these kids get into trouble. I don’t hate him, but i am really not fond of his hair.
I haven’t heard anything of what he sings, so I have no opinion of him, but I don’t know why anyone in their right mind would ask a 16 year old pop star about abortion. Seriously, who cares what he thinks? If you want a relevant opinion about abortion, maybe you should ask a medical professional, a pregnant woman, or (if you want the religious point of view) a priest. Justin Beiber is none of those, so far as I’m aware. That’s like asking Lady Gaga for her opinion on the political situation in Afghanistan. Who cares!?
I <3 Cake
Fame is a curse.
I totally agree. there is nothing wrong with Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber, they just seem to attract hate. its hard enough dealing with self confidence issues as a teen, I’d probably kill myself if I knew thousands of people who didn’t even know me spent that much effort on hating me.
also, they have no reason to ask him those questions. seriously – who cares? it doesn’t affect him. I don’t get why they would ask him a question like that other than to just stir up drama. I wouldn’t have answered.
@ItIsAllGravy - I totally agree, I never thought of it like that.
I got asked those questions in high school. My school was Catholic through.. and they where looking for ‘pro’ god answers. He’d be my teachers fav student. ‘OMFG I LOVE YOU!!
I don’t understand the haters. Will maybe I do. Maybe there just jealous little teens that want something they can’t have? which is where he is.
Really… Its his view point. Everyone person has the right to theres. Its silly.
He didn’t know “German” was a word..
Nuff said.
@ItIsAllGravy - I approve of this message.
No. I think he just gave the “wrong” answer in the first place, so they jumped all over him. I think he is right. You never kill a kid because of some awful thing their parents did. (Duh.)
I have heard celebrities say the stupidest, most idiotic things, but they were far left, so nothing was said about it. Drew Barrymore one time said on a talk show that she is vegan. She went on to say that “they do awful things to those cows to make them give milk”. I know she is a city girl, but she has no idea what she is talking about, so she should have stayed quiet. It HURTS cows to NOT milk them - THAT is an awful thing. And it can even kill them. They know when it is time to be milked, and usually come up and wait for it. She also talked about how horrible it is to take a chickens egg away. And they lay whether you take the eggs or not. Again, stupid. But no one said a word about HER stupidity!
Miley Cyrus is bad a influence on little girls because she constantly pushes the boundaries between acceptable and sexual. Now that she’s older, it’s not as big of a deal, but she’s still idolized by tons of little girls. Justin Bieber annoys me because boys are becoming less and less masculine, and he’s just one more reason boys will continue to wear pants tighter than mine with hair longer than any guy should wear his hair…. there aren’t any really famous manly men role models out there like there used to me (Like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood). It depresses me knowing I know more about automobile maintenance than most men my age, and spend less time getting ready than most of them.
As for the abortion issue, everybody has a right to their opinion. 16 year olds don’t have a great track record for being intelligent or reliable sources but that doesn’t mean they should be railroaded for answering a question. It’s almost like they were setting him up for it. I admire that he said that because nowadays it takes guts to say something like that. Why is it so hard to just listen to what someone thinks and then let it be? Why can’t people just let it go?
And to quote Bowling for Soup: “Tell all the haters that they should shut up and smile.” I don’t dislike Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber, I just dislike that they’re idolized as much as they are, I don’t think they’re any more impressive than anyone else I know.
I once read an online article that interviewed Justin Bieber’s mom, and she said that Justin was an unplanned pregnancy. She chose to have him anyway. I wish I could find the article again. I think people are extremely critical of Justin too… he is just a 16 year-old. I was still getting over zits and learning how to drive at 16.
I wish all the people who didn’t like Bieber would just ignore him. Then he could go the way of the Backstreet Boys and Hanson and whatever else girls screamed about when I was twelve.
@ItIsAllGravy - the band or the dessert?
I’m not a huge fan of the kid, to say the least. But asking a 16 year old male how he feels about abortion is just as relevant as asking a priest how he feels about having sex. Neither one (hopefully) is qualified to answer the question. Whatever “reporter” asked him that was just trying to bait him, and bait him they did. His poor publicist probably had heart failure when they found out, this is going to be a PR nightmare.
If I were him, I’d have just kept my mouth shut, but then again, he’s just a kid. Leave him alone, for Christ’s sake.
I don’t like Justin Bieber ‘coz I’m not a fan of his work but I’m not waiting for the guy to fail. I think that if you don’t like him, don’t bother calling him names either. Some people actually like him and he’s popular. His charisma must count for something.
Just because he’s famous doesn’t mean he has no right to give an opinion.
@LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - Agreed. I would never want to be famous.
@ShamrockLover - I think people who are in business for themselves need a certain amount of notoriety to make a good living. But the kind of fame referred to in this post has no redeeming qualities. No good has ever come of it.
@godfatherofgreenbay - Neither did I. The only questions I were asked were by The Police, and they didn’t ask about abortion. Come to think of it, I have no idea why they asked about every move I made.
@Rob_of_the_Sky - The Police called me in for questioning because someone said that every little thing I did was magic or maybe it was because I stood too close to someone or I committed Murder by Numbers.
“The only thing he is guilty of is being a famous kid. Can you really blame him for that?”
Um… Duh? It’s his own fault he’s famous. What kind of stupidass question is that?
Don’t hate on haters, Dan.
Meh, I could careless what anyone says. unless it directly effects my way of life, a (im)famous persons point of view to me (and anyone else’s) is like a rain drop; i hear them, but i care very little for each and every individual one. but long story short; everyone is allowed to have an opinion.
He can sing.
And he’s a singer.
His idolization is out of hand, but I mean, he’s following his dreams, and he hasn’t screwed up…yet.
xo’
@emberfly_layouts -
No stupid questions, just stupid answers.
I <3 Gravy
the hate is getting annoying. my friends always joke on him and say he’s only 12 why does he already have a movie about his life??? uhm hello? if any of these people hating were in his shoes, they would get the movie done too.
Justin Bieber is a rightwing piece of dogshit who wants to deny a woman’s right to an abortion, even in cases of rape and incest. Fuck Justin Bieber!
why I don’t like him is that he is really promoting feminism in young males…
He’s a pawn on the chessboard of the uber-greedy and cold music business. It’s as simple as that. Same with Lady Gag, Black Eyed Piss, and Lil’ Wang, among others. Except Bieber being so young, he might not be very aware of it.
“The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long
plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like
dogs. There’s also a negative side.” - Hunter S. Thompson (or so they say it was him.)
I think he’s cute. I really don’t want him to get corrupted. It’s pretty much expected, but I really hope he doesn’t.
I’m not much of a fan or too crazy about Justin Bieber, but I respect his opinion on abortion.
Poor little rich kid. Crying all the way to the bank.
I don’t know much about him, except I hear all the hype – I have a teenage girl – she doesn’t particularly like him, but a lot of her friends do. I think the idolization has gotten a bit nuts, but hey, in my day we had Donny Osmond, David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman, so Justin Bieber is this generation’s version of that. I just hate to think what could happen to him as he comes of age, looking at people like Miley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan. People often fail to realize that these child and teen idols do become adults, but on the other hand, as they are looked up to by so many younger kids, I really think they need to be careful what they say and do and the image they portray.
Maybe Justin will be like Donny, and will maintain his integrity as he becomes an adult….it’s a waiting game. I hope it all turns out alright for him.
I don’t see a problem with a 16 year old giving their opinion on real life issues, such as abortion. Most kids have learned about that and formed their own beliefs about such things by about age 14. If he was an unplanned pregnancy and his mom has discussed that with him, he probably knows that she had a choice to make and chose life for him, so it’s no big surprise that he supports that. It’s personal for him.
No, he is guilty of not knowing his limits, and being stupid. Just think of the German incident.
@ItIsAllGravy - The cake is a lie.
Dan! Stop smoking pot or whatever you’re on because it does bad for you. This kid sucks!!!! His singing is horrible! Pleasssse pleassse pleassssse get your hearing checked asap! LOL
You’re the best. I agree. I think people hate on him because it’s become a fad.
I honestly don’t really care for him, I don’t get why so many people put so much energy into hating him.
It’s a sad state of affairs when everyone is up in arms over the opinion of a teenage pop idol. He is entitled to his opinions, whether we appreciate them or not.
We also have the right to disagree. But c’mon, people… he isn’t even seventeen yet. Let’s pick on people our own size.
Poor JB
I like Justin Bieber. He’s truly talented and he seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. Plus, my niece smiles every time one of his songs come on, so how could I not love that? lol.
I agree with the reply that Miley Cyrus continues to cross/push the lines between acceptable and unacceptable, especially in regards to sexuality. Kids do NOT need to act that way.
Also, I agree with those who whether they agree with abortion or not are respecting his right to free speech and his own opinion. That is exactly how it should be. People talk about equality, freedom of this and that plus speech, yet they seem unwilling to actually be tolerant – they just want others to tolerate them to make their life easier. It’s a two way street, not a one way.
I’m also an unplanned pregnancy. My parents weren’t yet married and my dad was freshly out of a divorce plus my mom was only 16 when she was pregnant with me. So you can imagine what would’ve happened if my mom had been okay with having an abortion. My mom, though young, was an awesome mother. My father (much older & already a father by his first wife) wasn’t that great a parent at all. So while my childhood was often difficult for various reason (which I won’t get into), now I’m married to a good guy & I have two fantastic children and plan to have at least one more. Life can still be rough ($), but you know what – I am SO thankful to be alive. Not many people get the “ideal” childhood but I think most of us are happy to be alive and have what we do have. So I feel my reasons for being pro-life are personal as well as moral as well as religious. So I can’t be “faulted” (by those who are hateful liberals) for having just one reason for being against abortion.
I don’t know squat about Justin’s singing ability (haven’t heard him I don’t think) or his life. But I do know I believe he has a right to his opinion. Everyone does,
I have no clue what this “German” comment is about in regards to Justin but I will ask – have we all forgotten that the flippin’ president of the U.S.A. said there were 57 states? Let’s not berate him & be critical of him because he had a brain fart or maybe the school system or his tutor failed him.
I feel bad for the kid too.
@mtngirlsouth - Best Pro-Life line from a movie is from “Rob Roy”. Liam Neeson (Rob Roy) says to his pregnant wife who isn’t sure who the father of her child is (his or the rapist’s)
“It’s not the child who needs killin’”.
Thanks for the comment Dan. I felt really bad for the Bieber when I heard about this. In my classroom, he is a spelling word … hahaha! My little girls are obsessed, and my boys make puking sounds every time his name comes up. I think that his opinion was one I agree with, and would have expressed just as poorly at his age. Doesn’t anybody remember debating this in high school? It was his lack of eloquence, and not his opinion that everyone is ripping on. Although they still wouldn’t have liked his opinion if it was eloquent. Seriously, I need to find the name of the reporter that asked him this. DB, imo.
He’s also guilty of having a stupid haircut.
He’s only a 16 yr. old immature kid so I don’t put much credit in anything he has to say and neither should anyone else. But getting to your subject, with fame comes responsibility. If someone is stupid with their fame, it is their own fault. Kids look up to these famous kids and once they ruin their image, they’ll go down. For Justin Bieber to make comments on abortion when he shouldn’t is kind of irresponsible.
I think the Biebs gets hated on because when it boils down to it, the majority of adults think child singers are obnoxious. Justin Bieber is not really an artist, he’s more like an image that’s presented to teenie boppers so that they’ll buy his cd’s and the lastest issue of Tiger Beat or whatever magazine that his little prepubescent mug is plastered across. Adults realize this, but the kiddies are mesmerized by flashy dance moves and bowl haircuts and can’t see that he’s really not anything special. In a few years he will have grown up and out of the public eye and wont have to worry about answering questions about abortion – or anything else for that matter.
this kid was killing it at the nba celebrity all star game.
I get tired of the media hype about him but he seems to be a sweet boy who’s just doing what he likes. And wow, apparently he’s like a mystic (“everything happens for a reason”)…
Greetings! Sheeeeeeeshhhhhh, how do I start? I think he did the right thing in giving his honest opinion, and I feel more people should be honest about their beliefs and say it publicly with total disgregard to their reputation. To be an icon means your views should be exposed, and if one of your opinions is really that drastic, then that person should not be famous. I hear about trashy folks opinions on abortion all the time with bad grammar and incomplete sentences. I’d really like to know what Britney Spears thinks about Egypt’s revolution, or about Selena Gomez’s experience with menstration in the city light. I believe that if Famous poeple were to be more interested in the well being of their country, instead of being a monkey’s chimp for the big bad boys with money, more change and honest writings and overall just better than living in a damn country that only cares about bombarding you with products.
I feel more sorry for the aborted embryos and fetuses.
Dan, I couldn’t agree more. Whether you agree with him or NOT that does not warrant everyone’s back lash. He made a stance which is MORE than I can say for ANY sixteen year old that I know these days. They’re all freakin’ sheep (Baaaa baaaaa) and here, he’s actually said something and stands by it, and he gets total flaque for it… if I could, I would totally write him a big letter telling him “GOOD FOR YOU that you actually took a STANCE that wasn’t common! That shows people that you’re thinking…” – What’s so sad is that everyone else DISAGREES and says that it means that he’s NOT… no, he just has MORALS, in his mind he can’t concieve of getting pregnant and then being cold hearted enough to kill something that is inside you… Regarding the rape question, that is difficult for even ADULTS to answer, I think it was unfair, and I think he’s on the right path. I hope that others don’t shove him into a hole and that he stands his ground. Maybe then a few of the MILLIONS of little girls who look up to him will say, “Oh… I am not sure that I want to have an abortion because Justin is against it…”
It saddens me so much that everyone gets on their horse and rides against young people when they say something and mean it and yet, no one gets on Julia Roberts for getting up and saying that all republicans are REPTILES (When uh… how many of us REPUBLICANS or CONSERVATIVES are the reason that she’s ON that stage in the first place?) It’s just sick…
I’m done.
i felt bad for miley cyrus at first but now i think she deserves what she’s getting. the way she acts and the way she dresses are totally inappropriate and irresponsible. i don’t hate her. i really wanted to like her. i wish she would turn her life around. but so far, she’s just been getting worse.
I’m just thankful he is a not a Disney Star. Usher found him and now people love a kid with a girl voice.
his hair is unacceptable for me , but the opinion about abortion is killing a baby is just right (: (: that’s how it should be
It’s a free country and if people are entitled to be pro-choice, he’s entitled to be pro-life.
I blame him for being uneducated about controversal issues. He should have known someone would ask him about that, from my non-famous point of view I have read interviews where A-List stars are asked that question all the time and if I were to become famous tomarrow, I would definitly have an intelligent answer for that question.
Any time you’re asking a ton of people to like you or what you do or what you stand up for, and any time you publicize that, you will get a ton of people who like you, love you even. But you will also get a ton of people who hate you. It’s a fact. It’s just like someone getting crap for posting something prolife here, but on a bigger scale. You just have to remember, he asked for that bigger scale.
Why is no one talking about how Justin Bieber made some great comments about socialized health care?
i think he’s an annoying and conceited little shit. but you know what? so are most 16 year old boys.
as for his answers, of course he’s not gonna word them the way most people like, because he’s not as educated as other kids his age (he put off school for a little while and he’s just gotten back into it) so he knew what he wanted to say. he seems to have his shit together, at least at this point in time. and even though i don’t like his songs or him that much, i hope he can keep these morals and respect for girls that he has right now.
as for miley cyrus… i really just can’t stand her.
I don’t really care for him or Miley
I like some of their songs though <3
I’ve seen a lot of people upset about this, but I actually agree with you. I disagree with his position entirely, and it was REALLY stupid for him to say “everything happens for a reason” in response to the rape question. But he’s a 16 year old kid, for heaven’s sake – every 16 year old kid is going to say really stupid things sometimes. The media really needs to back off and let these kids live their lives without such intense public scrutiny.
Buy Viagra UK online in generic forms like Kamagra, Caverta, Eriacta, etc are available at lowest prices. Most importantly, you must ask for an advice from a physician before taking into any medications. It is estimated that more than 60% of all males will suffer from erectile dysfunction by the age of 50.
@sweetboxc00kie - I remember hearing that too. I think his mom was a teenager when she had him. Guess it goes to show that we don’t know the potential of an unborn baby. It’s not like Justin Bieber is saving the world or anything, but he’s not a menace to society either…
The price of fame
I honestly don’t like Justin Bieber’s singing, but I completely disagree with him being treated that way for a comment like that. He is still just a 16-year-old boy, who messed up with how he worded a comment. Geez people, give him a break. Why was he even asked a question like that in the first place? How stupid is our media.
I guess it never occurred to the kid to say “I don’t know enough about it to have an opinion, so I really can’t answer that.” Better to pass than to make yourself seem like an insensitive douchebag.
He’s famous… Why? His songs suck. Yes, you can blame him for being famous, & certainly for his answers to the questions.
@maeberry2007 - I completely agree with you 100%, I don’t think I could’ve worded my opinion as well though. xD
@ItIsAllGravy - The cake is a lie ;_;
I like how people just comment “I like his hair.”
LMFAO Like who cares about rape and abortion – let’s just talk about hairstyles.
*skipping by*
lalalalala…
We live in a country where we get our information about politics and the economy from movie stars on television talk shows. Fault the society that gives credibility to people who are famous.
He’s just a kid doing what he loves to do as a career. He worked hard to get to where he is today. Everyone is given the same opportunity to follow their dreams. If someone wants something badly enough, regardless of his/her situation, he/she will find a way. He found a way. Can’t hate on him for that. As far as the interview goes, he answered as well as he could answer for being put on the spot. People need to cut him some slack.
Just another distraction and an example of our mainstream culture. What does a 16 year old know about anything anyway? (Sorry kids, I know you guys are all smart. They just haven’t had much life experience. Just sayin’) He’ll probably get a girl pregnant in a few years or come out of the closet.
I like this kid ..
