  • Tattoo Hotness

Do you think a tattoo adds or takes away from the hotness of someone?

  • On Roseanne, it has no effect one way or the other.

  • Depends on the design, the person, etc.

That having been said, if my biggest worry when I’m old is how bad my tattoos look…I’ll say I’ve had a pretty damned good life.

  • Depends what it is.

If you have a tattoo of Justin Beiber, that detracts from your overall appearance.

  • Neither. Unless it is all over them. For me, that detracts a bit. But most of the time, my “hotness” scale has a lot more to do with character.

  • Depends. If it’s the right tattoo on the right person – it can be hot as hell.

  • “On Roseanne, it has no effect one way or the other.”

    ^This

    WHYYYYYY

  • My tattoo gets a lot of stares.  Of course, my tattoo is on my forehead and is simply the word loser.

  • Most tattoos seem to read, “I’m a fucking loser. Hence, the ink.”

  • Girls with sleeves and no other tattoos look disgusting regardless of how hot they are.

Honestly most people’s tattoos take away from their appearance.
This is because most people don’t seem to understand how to place tattoos so that they don’t look like total shit.

  • I think it depends on the tattoo, where it is, and what it is exactly…and who it’s on. My boyfriend would never approve of me getting a tattoo. I asked him once if he ever would and he looked at me and said, “No, I’m not crazy.” I wish he would though, it would be soooo hot. So anyway, that’s my answer. It just depends.

(Although I’m pretty sure I can safely say that a full sleeve tattoo is never hot, under any circumstances.)

  • tattoos scream hepatitis

  • Depends. Used to always be a turn off for me when a girl had a tat, but I think some of them can be attractive.

  • I really enjoyed that X-Files episode where a guy got a tattoo that turned him into a homicidal maniac.

  • MMMMMMMMMMM GILF!

Kidding, but once you get a moto tat, it becomes addicting. Good thing I’m salty enough to know better :)

  • I better not see any hate comments on that picture. I freakin love Roseanne! ;)

I think it’s really more about what the tat actually is. I don’t have any myself and don’t plan on it for awhile.

I think it’s extremely unattractive when I see a girl that has a tinkerbell tat. I see them every where! Come on, people! You are going to be 50 with a damn tinkerbell tattoo. Ridiculous!

  • I personally love tattoos; already have three and plan to have many more.

I used to worry about how I’d look with them when I’m old, but now I figure it’ll be pretty pathetic if I’m still obsessing over my appearance at that age.

  • @ShimmerBodyCream - I said this very thing just last night.

  • Depends what/where it is. But yes, usually they add hotness. Unless it’s a tribal or something similarly stupid.

  • i like the tattoos that give directions.

  • Oh my garsh you is still doin this?

  • Can’t improve on what God has already done. I’d sooner submit to having an appendage chopped off.

If I were single, a tattoo would almost be a deal breaker for a date. I seriously dislike them.
Not for religious reasons either. Just personal preference.
    Clean skin is beautiful

  • i’ve always associated tattoos with wanting attention. people get tattoos so other people can see and admire them. i also associate tattoos with low self-esteem, because i feel like people get them as a cop out when they can’t feel attractive enough as they are.

i understand tattoo artists are artistically trained and very talented… i can acknowledge and appreciate their virtuosity. but i don’t think tattoos themselves make a person appear more attractive.

  • I love tattoos (I have 4). I don’t think tattoos really do anything for someones appearance. If you’re hot, a tattoo won’t make you more or less hot. IMO a tattoo only makes someone less attractive if the tattoo is something I find stupid.

  • It definitely makes Rosanne look sexy. NOT!

  • depends on the people…

sully erna and jeff hardy…i would trace their tatoos with my tongue if given the opportunity! (i wouldn’t stop there either as I would like to lick their abs also…)

I am more prone to tatoos looking good on men then women…but that is a personal preference…

  • @ShimmerBodyCream - I don’t have hepatitis!

    And to answer your question…
    Hot! Hot! Hot!
Rosanne is old and gross regardless.

  • I personally love tattoos, I have 3 myself. So for me, tattoos add to the “hotness” of someone. Of course, if I don’t find you attractive to begin with, a tattoo won’t change that! LOL Tattoos only add something intriguing :)

  • yeah..Depends on the design,

  • depends on the tat and placement. and i guess how many. i dunno, like angelina jolie. i feel like when she’s wearing an elegant gown on the red carpet or whatever, her tattoos take away from her beauty. same goes for megan fox, but anyone who thinks that monroe tat is hot is weird. haha. my husband doesn’t want me to get one because he doesn’t think they’re attractive on women period.

  • depends. for a dude id have to say YES

  • Usually they’re a turn-off, but sometimes can be hot.  For example, David Boreanaz has subtle wrist tattoos that I find hot.  Dangit I can’t find a good picture of it.  Well here’s one but it’s a bad pic.

  • I think tattoos are disgusting. I just don’t see why you would do that to yourself? I would personally freak out if I ever got a tattoo. If a pen explodes in my apron pocket at work and I get ink anywhere, the idea of it being on my skin for about 2 days is terrifying! A tattoo just screams dirty to me.

  • Neither. Unless the tattoos are on the face or something of the like. That would probably not be appropriate for me.

  • Depends on the tattoo and the person.

  • If you’re ugly and get a tattoo..well, it isn’t going to make you any hotter.

But if you’re smokin’ hot, a tattoo just might make you seem even sexier.

  • …idk…U really can’t see either tat clearly…that said, I’ve always thought Roseanne was pretty hot [though a few recent pix may force me to change my mind; she hasn't aged well]…

  • I think hotness depends on the person and how they carry themselves.  As for if tattoos add or detract from that attractiveness… that also depends on the person.  I find some guys with tattoos hot but some not so much.  I love tattoos.  I have two right now and have several more that I’m planning.  Everyone’s view of attractiveness is different.  I couldn’t imagine myself without my ink.

  • Depends on the tattoo, depends where it is, and depends on the person’s body

  • Ive got two and i regret them both makes u feel like an inmate at a correctional facility as seen on t.v. hard time.

  • Hmmmm, maybe if someone got a tatoo of a lightening bolt scar on their forehead it would add to their appearence. But under normal circumstances they undo hotness.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - Eh. Not necessarily. My wife’s got a tattoo, and her sister also. Are they losers? Hardly. I’m thinking of getting one.  Hell, a lot of rock and metal musicians have them, even the most successful ones with long careers. So, I’d hardly call them losers.  Not sure what made you say that. You’re usually pretty logical, but that seems like an unjustified blanket statement. *shrug*

@Sand_notes - So, you can’t get a tattoo because your boyfriend doesn’t allow you? Really? Or are you being facetious?

  • That question can’t possibly have a specific answer. It all depends on the tattoo itself, the size, the location, the person, etc. Some look good, and some just don’t.

  • It depends for me. If you’re covered in them, then it’s not hot. But if you have a few smaller tattoos that have significant meaning to you, they look nice, and are placed well, then it can be hot.

  • I don’t know what these other people are thinking. That tattoo is totally working for Roseanne. So is the grandma skunk-hair.

  • She’s HOT even with the tattoo (NOT!)

  • not on this chick!

for guys, i think it adds to the hotness. and for pretty girls, it adds. ink adds to the hotness for good-looking people i think. hate to sound shallow, but it’s true for me.

  • @Unstoppable_Inner_Strength - You caught me commenting sillily and trollily.

  • Depends on the person and the tattoo.

  • It depends on the who, what, when and where…as well as how well said “where” is maintained. I stick to ankles myself. I can’t ever see myself digressing to the point of “cankles” so I think they’re pretty safe on me. My FWB has one on his bicep and I rather like it; it fits “him” and it’s a rather nicely maintained bicep, too.

  • depends on the person, but it really doesn’t change much

  • I don’t like tattoos, nor do I feel they are necessary so I guess they take away from hotness.

  • I don’t think it helps one way or the other. That said, I’m starting to regret the tattoo I got on my lower back a couple of years ago. Long story short is that I’ve come to the conclusion that I didn’t really need it.

Still it has value… My family gets so pissed off every time they see it. :)

  • eh it depends on the person.. I mean if they aren’t meaningless trashy tatts than yes they take the sexyness away.. old or young. Go to the water park and count how many you see.. Im not saying all tatts are like this but.. I mean if your going to have it on you forever make it meaningful.. Both of mine I think are classy and meaningful and they are  very easily hidden..  Just my personal opinion. and as for Rosanne I love her, shes such a free spirit. If she feels sexy what does it matter? Who bloody cares what we think.. Dont get me started ..

  • ohhhhhh~~~

of course it depend on person who uses it, but for me…..
tataooooo make someone look cool…..haha =D
    The Silenced Trurth !

  • I’d like to say that a person’s hotness is not just determined by their appearance, so a tattoo makes no difference but in reality, it depends on the tat and the person both. Getting one is a very personal decision that should not be taken lightly. Apparently though, some people take it really lightly.

  • @ShimmerBodyCream - Cause every tattoo parlour is a dirty shithole? I have more than one tattoo, I don’t have Hepatitus, and you can’t even tell I have any if I wear day-to-day clothes.

This ‘question’ is highly subjective based on each person’s individual tastes. There is no right or wrong answer.

  • I think it simply depends on the tattoo.  Guys with naked girl tattoos lose their hotness (if they had any), IMO.

  • @sweetboxc00kie - What if a person has tattoos that nobody can see?  Are they still trying to get attention?  People get tattoos for a variety of reason and some reasons have nothing to do with other people or seeking attention.  I have three tattoos and out in public and even at the beach, nobody is ever going to see them.  I have terrible facial scars from both injuries and cancer, one reason I got the tattoos was to have something permanent on my body that was pretty and I liked… for me, not for others.

  • I don’t think tattoos really made someone hotter, though, I do love them, on some guys. But, then again, I just love tattoos.

@sweetboxc00kie - I am actually a rather shy person, I hate people looking at me, and most of my tattoo’s have been placed where no one can see them, unless I want them too. And, self-esteem isn’t much of an issue for me, well, depending on the day. Some days we ALL have self esteem issues. I have eight of them. Two of those eight are for my father who just passed away, one for my husband (a quote from Romeo and Juliet), one for my children, one for the babies I miscarried, a quote in German, and then a few others. All of them, minus one has special meaning to me. It wasn’t something I did to draw attention to myself, or anything else. I could careless if other people like them, or look at them, obviously if most of them are easily hidden. That assumption about people with tattoo’s is just ridiculous.

  • Tattoos are sexy.

Depending on the subject of the tattoo of course.

  • I love my tattoo. It is red and small. It is the Japanese kanji for “Love” its on my left wrist. It reminds me that love is all that is important. I am loved and loving others is what matters. I don’t cut myself hardly anymore because of it. It makes me feel beautiful and that’s all that matters.

  • don’t like tatoos

  • Depends on the location, how cluttered it is and the detail, but (to me) sleeves are hideous about 90% of the time.

    @ShimmerBodyCream -

Then shut it up with the twinrix shot. (those who don’t know, its life long immunity.)

    @sweetboxc00kie -

I agree with your point on the second part, but the first part i have to disagree with to an extent, simply because that CAN be a reason, but I doubt i would single everyone out for having a tattoo as such. think about it this way; do you hang paintings and pictures on your house walls? do you own any pictures that represent memory of a plesant time? well people prefer to use their skin as those walls and enjoy the reminder of better times, all the time. one reason.

  • @DarkWaver - There is no inoculation for Hepatitis C

  • @amyunicorn - No, because every needle prick you risk pathogens.

  • I don’t think whether or not a person has a tattoo affects whether or not they are hot at all.  But then again, I have 5 of my own which you cannot see unless I want you to or its summertime and I’m in my bathing suit.

  • @Sand_notes - You don’t know until you see it on the right person. My bf has a full sleeve on his right arm (top and under) and working on the same for the other side. Hot as hell! In the past I would have probably agreed with you but then I’d never met someone who had a full sleeve of ridiculously good artwork that they wore very well. No tribal bs or tats picked from a catalog at the tattoo shop.

Side note, if your bf doesn’t approve of you getting a tattoo that is in a reasonable place (that won’t affect your career or future, etc) it would seem his love is conditional on your appearance. If he simply isn’t into girls with tattoos and you’re the kind of girl who wants to get them then perhaps just not the best match. You should never have to feel disapproval from a significant other.

  • @DarkWaver - my bf has a full sleeve on the right and working on the left. The artwork is amazing. Excellent artists, each piece blended well together, amazing detail, personal meaning, worn well. I think the problem is that most who tend to collect tattoos don’t bother to find good artists or good artwork and aren’t artists themselves. My bf is a great artist himself and wouldn’t have any less than the best. I cringe at any tattoo that reflects poor artwork. It’s no comparison.

  • Well honestly, on Roseanna, it doesn’t matter if she has a tattoo or not: she is NOT hot! XD

But, for me, it doesn’t really. People can do whatever they want to their bodies. I personally would never get a tattoo, because I don’t really see the point in it, but it doesn’t really take away or give hotness. Unless, of course, their entire body is covered in ink. To me, that’s just trashy. But one or two isn’t so bad.

  • Depends where it’s located. IMO, neck and boob tats are tacky and definitely a turnoff for me. Setting tats aside, Roseanne’s whole body is also a turnoff for me.

  • @sweetboxc00kie - Respectfully speaking, I disagree with the first part of your comment. I didn’t get mine for attention, nor do I have low self esteem. And I certainly didn’t get it to make make my appearance better..

  • It depends on how many, where it’s located, what it is and how big it is. A few tattoos can be hot but nothing in excess.

  • Depends on the person….I like tattoos but not to an extreme.

  • You’re starting with the assumption that Roseanne was ever hot in the first place.  (And the answer is no, just the same if you asked if she were ever funny, or if she had any singing talent.)

@bakersdozen2 - I think you stated it better than I could.

  • Since the company placed great emphasis on chronograph Toy Watch the company worked closely with the aviation industry of many countries. The Breitling Chronomat Evolution is one of their newest watches and epitomizes its accuracy in timekeeping. It is also manufactured in a pretty red gold version as well as in a series in white gold.

  • i love tattoos. i got my first 6 in a year. :)

  • @HesMyLobster - I hear you about the shy thing. i feel like a hermit some days too.

I have a friend who recovered from cancer years ago, and he has a tattoo in reference to that on his shoulder blade. I understand that there are people who get tattoos in order to commemorate a hard time in their lives… however, i feel like that implies that people who don’t have any tattoos haven’t been through something rough. it seems like there is always a little bit of melodrama in getting a tattoo.

but everyone has different ways of coping with hard times… God knows there are a million ways to cope that are more unnecessary and costly than getting a tattoo. : )

  • fatass.

    that’s a comment that’s just waiting for a bashing. ;D

  • @ShimmerBodyCream -

Lol. Sorry, i don’t read minds, never made that class. all you said was hepitis. besides, the point is, hepitis isn’t some ironclad thing that will happen.

    @MyGlosoli -

see but now your mincing words, how can one say what is ‘good’ work? if good work is nothing more than making sure it doesn’t smudge and or smear then, yes, without a doubt i have to agree, but if its about what the art is itself, then i have to disagree. art isn’t suppose to be how good it looks, its about expression.

Lol. and i said most of the time damn it!! i know there are some people who have a very tasty looking tattoos and it won’t matter where you put it.

  • I’m with those who say it depends on where and what it is. I have the Hebrew word Shalom on the inside of my right wrist, but I didn’t put it there for appearance sake. I put it there as a reminder of a promise. I don’t particularly care that it is visible. I don’t particularly care what anyone thinks of it. It has nothing to do with my self-esteem or lack thereof… I have intentions of getting another tattoo on my birthday, IF I can get it designed the way I want it, as a symbol of a turning point in my life, a reminder that things have changed from what they were and are different now. If I can’t get the design right, I’ll probably find another way to “mark” the day/idea.
