Too much smut. Or constant MM about how everyone needs to check out their new post, and all it is is some cliche love picture with a corny quote. Stickin’ 12 year olds…
But those are the only two reasons I’ve had to unsub.
It would take me remembering to go to the subscriptions screen to check who I am subscribed to.
I don’t usually subscribe to popular and prolific Xangans because all their recommendation and post fill up my inbox so I miss lots of other stuff. Friending and subscribing is totally strategic for me and not based on what I feel for people.
Lack of content that I find interesting.
I’m subbed to a couple of popular bloggers… and I’m often tempted to unsub because they really only post something I find worth reading every great once in a while.
mass messages
I recently unsubscribed to RevLife because I couldn’t stand the narrow-minded comments. I did the same a year ago and realized my decision should’ve been permanent.
I never have but I have been tempted recently, so it takes a lot.
Kiddie porn; excessive hater posts; constant, three times a day ALL ABOUT MEH posts.
I unsubbed you once because I didn’t like how often you time stamped and how often you posted… I got over it though because sometimes I really like what you post. Mostly I browse right past your page anyway. Too many messages… I hate mass messages.
They not only need to bother me but constantly update and send mass messages. It is very rarely done by me, I doubt I have done it even once a year
I almost always unsubscribe from excessive time stampers.
Depends.. Usually if I don’t like the person anymore or I find it cluttering my private page too much.
if they leave harassing comments on my blog. that’s the only thing i can think of that would truly irk me.
@PervyPenguin - Marry me. I’m half German so I automatically get +5 to my Cooking profession.
A succession of lousy posts or frequent daily updates. Former subscriptions get demoted to friendship. That way I only read them when I grow bored of my subscriptions.
Mass amounts of spam….
time stamping which i notice, without increased content.
It would involve a rare period where I was checking xanga regularly enough to get bored with the people posting on my subscription screen.
someone who hasn’t posted for like 2 years…
Since I’m a bit of a masochist, there is nothing anyone can do to get rid me, ever. But, I will unsub somebody if I realize that we have none of the same general interest, but then I would have to figure out why I subbed to them in the first place.
1. Poor blogging etiquette: Timestamping or mass messaging. I use to tell these people off with colorful lanaguage, but I don’t bother anymore. I’m not going to stay subscribed if its’ that fucking annoying. (Though, on balance, this site more than makes up for its inconsiderations).
2. Circumstances of inital subscription/friending. If you’re like DearRicky and you friend only to bloat your audience, then I’m going to troll you you then unfriend you.
3. Blog-type. I like debate and I like discussion. If you don’t really visit my site and if none of your blogs deal with current events, politics, or any of those fun contentious issues, I might unsubscribe just to de-clutter my inbox.
I love a good debate of almost any subject. But personal slurs have no place on Xanga.
Spam.
I rarely unsubcribe from anyone
When they start writing about stuff I’m not interested about — excessively.
Would have to take something major to make me unsubscribe.
A personal attack on me…..
Viciously attacking other peoples race, religion, family, physical disabilities or sexual orientation.
The constant use of the word “retard” with no apology after being called on it. Oh wait, I am still here so I guess that isn’t it. I should really change that now.
I’m not subbed to too many in the first place, so it’s rare for me to unsub anyone. If they start posting vitriol, especially against any of my friends, that would do it. If they get obsessed with blogging about one topic all the time, or their writing changes to a point that it’s no longer enjoyable to read, I may unsub after waiting a long time for them to get past it and return to what attracted me to them in the first place. If they have been on my subs list, I won’t usually unfriend them.
I unsubscribed to *someone* on FB that made some comments about gays. There were over 50 comments that agreed with him. It made me sick and I didn’t want to be “friends” with him on FB.
Too many boring updates.
When you’re verbally attacked for no reason…
usually I just unsubscribe if the person is getting annoying, or if they stop writing things that interest me.
Mine is simple, only when they leave. I have yet had to unsubscribe to people.
When I realize after a while that I don’t read any of their posts.
If I never read their blog because it’s boring or something.
obviously if they’re being really offensive or encouraging illegal activity etc., porn, spam, whatever; besides that if they were constantly complaining and fussing about stuff and feeling sorry for themselves and never happy about anything, I’ll unsubscribe. I’ve already unsubbed someone for that.
doesn’t take much I do it all the time.
If they something that I strongly disagree with.
If they were causing nothing but drama and spitting nothing but negativity and talking about nothing other than politics, criticism, xangan hating, ranting raving, etc. … it’s just not cool to read. I’d rather read about what you ate for lunch than that.
Because you SUCK!
…
Jk…
I do not appreciate the postings the person is making.
Lots of mass messages. I’m OK with an occasional one, and it depends on their content too, but once I’m getting a flood of mass messages just asking me to read your blog that’s where I unsubscribe.
Not posting for long durations at a time.
I don’t think I’ve ever unsubscribed from anyone. I was tempted to at one point, when someone was causing a lot of drama and time stamping incessantly, but I chose to simply ignore it and eventually things calmed down. I think that if someone was time-stamping, recommending stupid stuff, and mass-messaging a lot, AND writing inflammatory posts that I very much was offended by or disagreed with, I might. It would have to be insanely annoying to me, though.
Too much timestamping or recommending of bad entries, smut, racism, acting like a jerk to me if we interact.
@FoliageDecay - Nice one Leafmaster. Too much knowledge of who does what on Xanga is like too much skill at billiards; the sign of a miss-spent youth.
I usually only unsubscribe to people that haven’t been active in a very long time. But, I suppose if someone was very rude and insulting that would make me unscubscribe.
I have unsubscribed to a couple of people who just got super-annoying… using their xanga account like a facebook to post 5-10 word blogs complaining about their day, then using more blogs to complain that they were never in top blogs.
I don’t sub to many people. the question is more of what would it take for me to sub to their blog.
Tremendously individuals who can be capable an genuine replica handbag merely try and purchase Louis Vuitton handbag 11237 apricot unique. for the reason that my luxury handbags weblog replica handbags really are a amazing offer of much less high priced compared to exact bags.
Mass messages and recommending too many posts. I’ll decide what I want to read on the rare occasions when I come back here.
Or, to be more precise, a few clicks is all it takes.
if all I’m seeing is crappy poetry, adios.
Movement away from the content or tone that attracted me to the site to begin with. Multiple posts on a topic that does not interest me.
I don’t care enough too, let them unsubscribe or defriend me I’m too lazy.
harsh person (:
If I loose trust in someone
only if they spam my mailbox
simply something I find insulting, though I would give them a second chance. If they make the same mistake I simply unsubscribe.
Porn
Discusting sexual subjects
Shoving relgion down my thoat

I have only unsubscribed to a couple of people…both of them because they were so VERY opinionated on subjects that I disagreed with…and it seemed to be the ONLY thing they ever wrote about…I am not sure how they changed…but it was a complete metamorphosis from the time that I first subscribed to them.
DearRicky’s blogs
@darkoozeripple - Through an obscure series of cognitive firings, you have led to the Trouble in River City song being stuck in my head.
“O there’s trouble(O there’s trouble) right here in river city (right here in river city) with a capital T which rhymes with P which stands for POOL!”
Something that I consider over the top.
If they don’t update often like they used to or uninteresting topics. Personal opinions…

making jokes about Jews and gas chambers
constant updates
