I’ve been blocked by at least one person. But that person is crazy and many people would agree. I think we discussed this person when we met in Houston.

I don’t really know. How can you tell if you are blocked? I don’t get people who get mad about it. If somebody doesn’t like me, they should block me.

Usually I’m blocked without knowing it. It’s only after I click a link and xanga can’t “find the site” do I sign in under another name and realize I’ve been blocked!

Once, I think. I got that “this page isn’t there” thing but it was nothing to do with the site being shut down, so I imagined that was what comes up when you’re blocked from a site, wasn’t really sure.
None. But, I’ve blocked one person because I didn’t want to get involved and pull into the drama they start.

She message me a nasty email and before I could respond, she blocked me. Eh, I’m not to worried about it though. She wasn’t on a freindslist and I cant remember who she was.

I got blocked by someone that I thought was a friend..for no reason.I would want a explanation but she doesn’t give it. I guess I’ll file it under “I’m annoying” though funnily, I was getting along with her fine. I guess people either hate or like me. No inbetween and I might of pissed her off for doing something she didn’t like. Now, I’m like screw her and don’t care. I guess I’m more pissed about how people do that and not say anything about it. Nor explain themselves. Makes me suspicious about their character and type of person they are if they do things sneakily like that. At least knowing the reason why would make me happen.

I get cock blocked on xanga. I let a girl I wanted to kiss her and the next day she writes in a comment she kissed another much more popular xanga dude. I know I didn’t deserve her in the first place, but still. It hurts when I am interested in someone, whether it was triggered by a song, video, or post, and thst same person talks about how great someone else is. Heh, I move on. I know my chances are real slim a woman will come to my site begging me to pop that cherry. I know. Still, these are the kind of things I look foward to in life. Someone to like me for my comments, and not for the size of my bodily parts.

Well I haven’t been blocked on xanga that I know of…..and the only person I’ve tried to block (twice now, is that possible?) is for spam.
I’ve been blocked on facebook by friends I wasn’t getting along with, but when you work together every day, it’s not like they’re really able to block you out of their life, is it? Oooooh and the best was when I blocked my boyfriend’s ex because she was obsessing and it absolutely infuriated her. I didn’t realize the power it had over people! I ended up unblocking her because I just didn’t care that much about a silly website. Gotta draw the line on what matters I suppose.

But from what I understand you have to go to a site if you want to find out if you’ve been blocked. Most of these are people who’s sites I have no desire to visit.
PS: I’ve block a lot too. Most of Hector’s dummy sites, Serena Dante, Lobornlytesthoughtpalace, and just this week another site that was also the dummy site for someone else.

While I haven’t bothered to count, I can think offhand of AT LEAST four — two with no discernible reason other than pure obnoxiousness, one because I simply stopped reading her boring nonsense, and one due to a misunderstanding based on an awkward first meeting. It is highly possible there were others. One other block comes to mind, but she eventually unblocked me.

Not really. I almost blocked you on my site ( I warned you ) because you kept on making arguments I either refuted or asked you to back up with actual information. So after about 5 or so replies realizing it was a big waste of time, I decided I wouldn’t let you have the last word on a circular discussion going nowhere. So I told you to provide some more information and back up your reasoning or get blocked. You decided to provide information and back up your reasoning and we actually had a decent discussion for once. Made me want to threaten to block you more often.
I sort of assume you use better logic with religious people than you do when talking about politics. It would be tough to do otherwise.

I have personally blocked many people who I have reviewed and found personally offensive or unproductive in their approach to commenting. It does not shame me to “POLICE” my website, nor to expect that my blog’s comments should carry a bit of decency to them. My “BLOCKED” persons list has roughly 50 names to it at the moment…. if that says anything.
As for me BEING blocked… once or twice, but it doesn’t bug me in the least. They have their reasons, and what they say behind my back is of no concern to me, even if it is about me.
I love this passage of the Old Testament —
