  • America Is the Greatest Country In the World

A recent poll by FoxNews showed that 84% of Americans think the United States is the greatest country in the World.  Here is the link:  Link

I am sure we would never get that kind of result from the American hating xanga community.  But if you give it a little thought, we are pretty awesome.  We have the largest economy.  We have the strongest military.

We are the country that others come to for opportunity.  We have the best health care (this might change if our health care becomes like some other countries).  Xanga headquarters is stationed in the U.S.  Facebook is a U.S. owned business.

Some country has to be the greatest.  (If you say “no,” name a country you think is really better).

Is the United States the greatest country in the World?

  • No. Canada is much better for instance.

  • No. It is the most powerful at the moment, but is still relatively short lived when compared to Rome, Greece, Babylon, Persia, Egypt, etc. And, it does permit its citizens more freedom than most have, but, America is no more innocent than other nations in the past have been, especially modern America. And, I think polling Americans on this is a bit biased. How about polling Chinese?

  • And 84% have never been outside the states too right? Haaa!

  • If the people here didn’t act like animals/total assholes then yeah, America would be number 1.

  • It’s the best country for me personally.

Greatness is in the eye of the beholder.

  • Nope. However, I hear that Finland is lovely.

  • I have not seen enough of all the other countries to say. I know, of the ones I’ve visited, I think it is the best. Then again, I only saw the Niagra Falls part of Canada, and perhaps that’s not giving them a fair shake. But we’re definitely better than Poland, the other country I’ve visited.

  • Absolutely not.

  • We’re the greatest country in the world when it comes to celebrating the 4th of July!

  • We used to be. But sadly we are losing our power. Give it a couple more years and we are going to have another 9-11 and when we try to defend ourselves it will be too late. My guess will be China who tries to take over. If not China, then North Korea. Economically we are not independent. We depend on China and other overseas workers to provide us with 90% of our everyday basic necessities. China purposely put lead in the products a couple years back. They were testing the waters to see how we react.

  • Why do American conservatives assume that giving honest criticism of America is tantamount to hating it?

We may have the largest economy, but China and India will soon surpass us if we don’t improve our game plan. In addition, wealth is disproportionately possessed by the higher classes while many Americans live in poverty.

Our health care is world class, but very few Americans can afford it. Health care in other countries may be lacking to a certain extent, but unlike our system, it is a safety net that allows citizens not to worry about their health.

Having the largest/strongest military is nice, but it also means large portions of our budget that could be spent on education and infrastucture are spent on guns and ammunition.

Being honest about my country does not mean I hate it. In fact, I think my country is great, and I want to make it greater. Pretending all of our problems don’t exist while screaming “AMERICA FUCK YEAH” only makes our shortcomings more difficult to address.

  • xanga ask you to start drama again?

  • It’s the country for me until I feel like good Chinese food, in which case, it’d be Taiwan.

  • Sorry to say. Only Americans think that US is the best country.

  • I haven’t been outside our borders, so I don’t have experience to name another country that does better on all the fronts you mentioned.  But excepting the big military (and why is that such a great thing?), we are far from Number One in rankings on critical elements of human quality of life from education to infant mortality.

  • AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!

    fuck all these haters, man.

  • As one of the very few Americans who has actually traveled the world, speaks multiple languages and has friends in or from at least a dozen countries, I can answer emphatically, yes, America is the greatest country. America sucks, but it’s still better than everywhere else. Australian culture? Amazing and egalitarian, but with 22M people, the infrastructure blows. England is poor, Korea divided and export-driven, Japan over-crowded and lacking in natural resources, Germany overwhelmed by social welfare, France not respected, Russia poor, China in the boom part of a dramatic and yet-to-be-seen boom/bust cycle overflowing with hyperinflation and Canada dependent on the US/UK defense umbrella. India? Please — read a book, not the New York Times.

For all our problems, even the slow whittling away of our civil liberties, America is fucking amazing. I don’t care about international rankings, GDP, Gross National Happiness or math and science scores. This is a country where, if you work your ass off, you can become incredibly wealthy, incredibly happy, incredibly free or all of them at the same time.

  • Damn right America is the greatest country in the world and for those who don’t like it here, get the hell out!

  • We’re the best at getting to the moon.  They can take our privacy away and our rights away and our International Good Standing away–but God damnit, they can’t take that away.

  • USA #1…suck it Malaysia

  • Have you ever noticed how you can’t say “country” without saying “cunt”?

  • Yes, I think America is the greatest country in the world. If I’d been born and raised in another country, I’d probably think it was the greatest. I don’t know when national pride became politically incorrect, but there’s nothing wrong with loving your country.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - Dude, if you die in a Malaysian Xanga-perpetrated assassination, you’ll be a martyr. THINK OF THE VIRGINS

  • I can’t tell if that’s Heidi Montag (am I way off course with that?) or Kelly Kelly, or some other blonde American person in a bikini of flag-pattern… if it’s Kelly Kelly, yay, I love her.

  • @tymedancer - Um. I’m already out. ;)

  • Level of quality Hermes bags is supplied using the customer at probably the most affordable cost possible. that is mainly finished to make certain that the huge amount of consumers can straight get benefited away from it. acceptable prices: a essential phase which most from another companies fail to provide.

  • “Greatest” is subjective. China is the oldest civilization that’s made it to modern times and I think that’s great.

  • @QuantumStorm - If they are Xanga martyrs they’ll probably be a bunch of guys who pretend to be girls

  • A country shouldn’t be measured by it’s government, it should be measured by the honor and integrity of it’s people. America, fuck yeah!

  • Its not that I hate America… I love the way that it was founded and the ideas that it was based on. What I hate is what America is now and the direction that I believe it is heading for.

  • america’s got potential.  that’s what makes it so great.

  • Patriotism is the belief that your country is superior to all others because you were born in it.

  • @exatreides - What about immigrants?

  • fuck yeah we are. and in response to some smart ass commenters, yes I have left the country before.

I’m sure other people have wonderful lives living in other countries but America is by far the best place for me!

  • @ItIsAllGravy - I’m not surprised you figure that one out!

  • we have jensen ackles. yay

  • These values go back to the Puritans, where we believed we were “the chosen”

  • Also, your love of women’s breasts is apparent in the pictures you choose to ask your questions.

  • the best at being fat lazy idiots with gaps in teeth

  • yes, I believe my USA is the best in the world.  Go patriotism!

To those that wish to criticize, I have left the country, but have you come here? I doubt it.

  • The US is the greatest country. Doesn’t mean it’s the best country. Everyone thinks their own country is the best. It’s all a matter of perception.

  • Texas is the greatest country in the world, I thought everyone knew that.

  • Nope. Our healthcare sucks, it only caters to the rich, like everything else in this country. I’m pretty sure those statistics correlate to the amount of people in the U.S have actually left the country. I disagree with having the strongest economy, the Australian dollar, the euro and the British pound are all stronger than the U.S dollar. Our economy is up there, but it’s not “the best”. Maybe I’m biased because I’m a lower-class citizen with a disabled mother who is getting her healthcare coverage taken away and won’t be able to buy her medication for her epilepsy and schizophrenia.

Every country has their problems, none are perfect, but if I were to name a few that I would believe are better than the U.S, it would consist of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, England, Canada (even though they’re not a global power, they have a better quality of life).

  • I’m not white. I will never have the same opportunities. I have to live like a dog- a stinking salary.

  • @itangel - im just curious where you got that China was purposely putting led on toys that were imported to the U.S. its as hysterical as the Chinese thinking Americans introduced SARs in their countries a few years back.  goods that were to exported are actually of much higher quality than the ones Chinese use themselve.  Were there melanin in dairy products in China? yes, huge problem, were there led on toys in China?definitely. North Korea as the runner up as U.S.’s competitor?absolutely ludicrous.

to answer your question im more than content living in this country and I feel it’s the best fit for my family, but i think hdi is a pretty good predictor in what the “best country in the world” is. last time i checked it was some Scandinavian country?

  • Definitely not! Great heatlh care and opportunities? Then why are all my American friends with masters teaching in Korea right now because they cannot find jobs? And they rave about the cheap health care here because anything in a hospital in the States sounds ridiculous in comparison cost wise! But, yes, America is still fairly strong and I would live there before many other countries. I would say it was the King ding a ling for the last 50 years. But in the future? Not so sure. Canada does sound better in many ways…

  • Most replica Breitling uk today have automatic movements, showing the motion on the wrist and body result in the rotor (metallic weight linked with a winding mechanism) to pivotRolex piece innovation. Movements is likely to be entirely mechanical, electronic and even an important blend of both.

  • I hate to be negative but um, how is healthcare in the US the best in the world? I mean, not to bash the US, but let’s be realistic. the World Health Organization ranked the US as 37th in terms of health care. Yes, THIRTY SEVENTH.
So I don’t really know what you’re talking about. I mean, you’re right about the military and economy, but you should look these things up before you post them.

Also, some statistics: the divorce rate in the US is the highest in the world by far (twice as high as the next highest country), it is the most obese country in the world by far (almost 1/3 of the population!), not even close to the top 10 countries in terms of education (it was ranked as “average”)… I mean, not that the US is bad, especially compared to some countries, but why would you say it’s the best country in the world? I don’t really like the “My country is better than yours!” attitude.

  • @TheThinkingPerson - Well said! I’m glad someone thinks logically and doesn’t get caught up in the drama. I agree with you.

  • Why of course the US is the greatest country in the world!  We have Hawaii and Alaska!

  • @katethoughts - The lead in the toys is a theory of mine. I think there came a point where China was tired of doing all of our work. I think they are planning something bigger but needed to test the waters to see how the U.S. would react.
Give North Korea a couple of years and they will be an even bigger power threat then what they are now. I know this all seems crazy now but just give it time. My parents still complain that they thought they would never see bottled water for sale.

  • You should purchase remedies available dropshippers and then sell replica watches on sites like eBay and start seeing money being daily. Dropshipping watches on eBay is extremely over looked getting a competitive niche, however this couldn’t be further from the truth.

  • @P0RCELA1N_D0LL - Excellent point!  We have Hawaii, Alaska and Jensen Ackles.  Yay!

  • Yeah, I do think so. I’m just patriotic…that’s all.

  • @Pysia89 - What criteria did the WHO base their rankings of health care?  People in other countries, may have free health care, but every Canadian I’ve talked to says they also have incredibly long waits and/or drives to get the health care they need.  And some of them choose to come to the US and pay for it rather than wait so long.

The US has some of the easiest divorce laws in the world, so of course we probably have the highest amounts.  Plus, our culture is more accepting of divorce than other countries (not to mention countries where women can’t get divorces even if their husbands beat them).  I don’t think that knocks us down from being the greatest country.  What’s the rate of infidelity in those other countries?  Probably higher, especially in Europe.  And we’re obese because we have enough food.  Still I don’t see how that would make us not the “greatest”.  Our education in public school might suck on a world level, but no where else is it so easy to get a college education.  I think in some places if you don’t score high enough on certain tests in high school you don’t even get to go to college.  I wonder which country has the highest percentage of adults with a college education.

  • The replica watches niche ‘s no different. Definite steps you’ve got to follow.Using 111 dropshippers is an extremely profitable path for earning money online. With every market you choose to sell in scientific studies are paramount. Your property – this involves analyzing what 222 are available well on eBay.

  • @itangel - How is North Korea going to take over anything when they don’t even have enough resources to feed their own people?

  • Yeah, I think America is the greatest country. It’s not the best country, because if I could choose to live anywhere, I might choose a smaller more peaceful country like Switzerland. But America was the first country to have nuclear capabilities, to put a man on the moon, to win independence from a European country, so how can we not be the greatest country? We can any idea and made it better. We’ve got the highest GDP, by far, and the most influence in the world.

  • Only in some aspects, cultural competence doesn’t seem to be one of those though. lol

  • I hate how being patriotic is not seen as okay anymore.  I’m proud to be American, and I’m sick of all the anti-American crap on here.

    M

  • @TiredSoVeryTired -  The WHO statistics are explained here: http://www.photius.com/rankings/healthranks.html
I’m not saying the US is horrible or anything like that. I just don’t like this attitude a lot of people have towards other countries. It’s as though the rest of the world was uncivilized and inferior. Other countries have more than enough food as well (or are we talking about third world countries? Because that’s a completely different story). I think that the reason for the high obesity rate in the US is the fact that the food, especially the meat, is packed with hormones, chemicals, and high fructose corn syrup, and the fact that people eat a lot of junk food. But that’s kind of off topic and it’s also another story…
In terms of divorce, you are right that the US accepts it more openly than most other countries. So I guess that’s open to interpretation. If you think divorce is good thing, you will view these statistics about the US as a good thing. If you think divorce is horrible, then you won’t like these statistics.
As for the infidelity, if we look at this in terms o f developed countries (because some sources show a country in Africa to be number one), the US is actually on the top, at least according to this:
    http://www.signs-of-a-cheater.com/which-country-has-the-highest-rate-of-infidelity.html
And as for adult education, I do like that about the US. I think it’s awesome to have adults encouraged to finish their education, or even start it.
But in the end, the US is just another country. It has its good sides and its bad sides and I think it’s kind of too nationalistic and demeaning to other well-developed countries to make it seem like the “greatest” country.
    But that’s just my opinion.

  • Poll the Americans that think the United States isn’t a country but a giant corporation run by Great Britain. Having said that, we are pretty great. Whatever we are…..

  • @quiltnmomi - You have to be careful on those infant mortality stats.  A lot of countries have different standards when it comes to considering what an infant actually is.

  • Yes we are!   but in a multi dimensional universe, this does not prevent OTHER countries from ALSO being “the best” .   The best for whom, or what?  Thanks to God, the USA has been there, and we have helped bring our understanding of freedom human rights to a level totally unprecedented!   This does NOT mean we are more valuable!   rather, i think our Glory is in the way we sincerely have tried to actually help other countries and peoples become more their “original”  or best selves.  And when they do, we ALL benefit!

  • for this moment, yes U.S is the greatest but let’s we afraid of China okay? That country i believe will be U.S rival at stocks, investation, and business. Their economy is much stronger from last year. And oh yeah! FUCK OFF, MALAYSIA! You are still alive cause Soekarno delayed the war to you!

  • We are a great country but there is still room for improvement.

  • Greatness, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. But there are several reasons why the U.S. has so few citizens who travel to other countries. One is that the country is so big and has so few neighbors that it makes traveling abroad more expensive. The other is that, what exactly do other countries have to offer that people in the U.S. don’t have? Other than the chance to experience another culture firsthand–which don’t get me wrong, that is pretty awesome–not much.

  • I love this post, man. It proves there are those who believe that America is exceptional. I do not care what these liberal hacks say, America is a great nation and a true republic. Of course, I never care much about what these liberal hacks say, all they speak is idle nonsense. What do these liberals know anyway? All they know is what they read from liberal rags and tosspot articles.

    You the man, Dan.

    S.C.

  • @TheThinkingPerson - See, one thing I never understand about liberal hacks is why they always are so damn negative about America, yet so equally positive about other nations that would love to see us destroyed. You are all so busy squabbling for the scraps from Obama’s table, that you have missed your opportunity for something better. There is a difference between us liberals and conservatives. You liberals think that we more better off folks are supposed to pay your way and give you more than you deserve by redistributing our wealth to your lazy butts.

I think you all need to get off the nipple and try to do something productive with your lives. I mean, how do you think that the rich got rich? By sweating their asses off and working like hell, that is how. They did not expect the government to give them a damn handout. They did not need the government’s help to get where they are now.

Now you and your liberal pals can say whatever you will about me, but there is a little saying that goes like this–He who does not work shall not eat. You work for what you want. You cannot expect the government to be your little babysitter. And if you are indeed a thinking person, as you say, you should give that some thought.

I come from a relatively poor background, OK? But I do not think I am entitled to anyone’s wealth. And I do not think that the government should be my babysitter. I have worked all my life, and I may not get much for it, but at least I earn my living. I wonder, what do you do? Expect everyone to give you a handout? Sometimes I wonder about those like you. I really do. It has been a revelation to me.

Do humanity a favor and get off the government nipple, eh? You might be more credible if you did that.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - Errr… why the hatred for Malaysia?

  • I was born and raised in America, but now live in Australia. I believe both countries have their strong points. I don’t believe there is a number one country.

  • @CaptFlapjacks - I was formulating a response and then realized it would have read pretty much exactly like this.

  • @cleauditore - China’s economy was only made possible with America’s.  They followed our model and have depended on us as a trading partner.  While China does have a supereconomy, poverty in that country is far more severe than it is in the US.  Not to mention that the government has strict control over many of the resources and means of production there.

  • @Kiwigummy - It is going to come down to a power threat. Give them a couple of years and they are going to gain power. They will attack the US and they will put up a fight but NK will still overpower the US

  • FACTS:

    1) No country has ever been more noble than the US
    2) No country has ever provided as much aid and support around the world as the US has
    3) No country has ever been able to outperform the US militarily and economically
    4) No country provides more opportunity for careers than the US does (hence why all the Chinese and Indians are migrating over here; not vise versa)

  • @itangel - The US has the power to blow NK off the face of the earth.

  • @Chibi_Son_Gokou - give it a few years

  • hahaha.  the comments you’re getting really proves your point about the xanga community.

  • Thank you for posting this.
America is the best country in the world. All the haters should just go somewhere else. Seriously, I mean it. If they think they can find a better place to live then they can just do it.

  • I used to think America was the greatest country that ever existed and my patriotism was through the roof. Then I traveled.

  • I would like America better if we all had free health care.

  • I’ve been to Europe and South America. I prefer living in the United States. No, its not perfect but I think this is the greatest place for opportunity and making a living.

  • @TiredSoVeryTired - Re: the long waits in Canada – how long are they waiting for? I almost always have to wait hours to get healthcare (ER or not). The last time I was in the ER, I waited for five hours. :

  • @BooduhX3Belly - Unfortunately, a lot of the haters of the US are those who have experienced just how bad it can be. And, more often than not, if you are in the position to experience its unjust practices, then you aren’t in the position to relocate to another country. Emigrating is incredibly hard and 90% of those who want to do it, can’t.

  • @Sammie_The_Great - You’re making sweeping generalizations. Not all liberals are lazy as hell and expect everyone else to pick up after them, and there is no way in hell that all rich people got that way by working their asses off. MANY of them are trust-fund babies, heirs, or very well-connected through their parents or other means. It may not have been the government helping them, but someone did. Almost all of us have been helped to get to where we are because that’s how the world spins; that’s how we should operate. Everyone needs help at some point, and it’s our job to help our fallen brother. I will never understand why people think that this each-man-for-himself idea works. No man is an island.

  • i don’t care how great and powerful china thinks its getting, nobody wants to live or raise their family in china. china may have america’s money, but america still has the better quality of life…in my opinion. :)

  • I’m gonna have to go with.. no. Not at all. I’m thankful I’m not American, to be honest… I wouldn’t want to be associated with America in any way, shape, or form.

  • I’m glad I live in Germany, haha.

  • @SnowshoeTrails - Canada is cool. I will say as a minister and

pastor I do love our country, but  I’ve had to deal with hundreds of bankruptcy’s

in our churches because of medical bills. Education for college and healthcare are issues

that the UK, German, Canadian, French are way ahead of us on. They go to the doctor

when they need to, they have much less to pay for higher education, and the huge

bills for college and medical bills aren’t issues. Because of it their kids usually

percentage wise are higher educated and are enjoying less financial burdens as

time moves on. Those two issues are pivotal to address. Otherwise, Americans will not be

able to afford college burdens, or medical insurance. Leaving them the least healthy and

least educated in the years to come.

  • @TheThinkingPerson - Being honest is one thing, being hateful is another.  That being said, Conservatives are just as critical as liberals about America. Only Conservatives are critical of the tyranny, poverty and misery that liberalism always brings. Liberals hate that. So it is liberals who are intolerant of criticism, not Conservatives.

Most Americans can, in fact afford their health care. What has made prices skyrocket is the same thing that is causing tuition costs to skyrocket:  Government involvement. So your statement that most people can’t afford health care is wrong.

Conservatives believe that charity and general welfare cannot be outsourced to the government without catastrophic consequences.  Every single liberal social policy has proven this to be true.

To hide their failure, liberals always manufacture a demon as a distraction.  Consequently, Conservatives are racists, bigots, homophobes, sexists, and mentally ill and intellectually challenged.

That’s the problem with America: liberals and their constant hateful lying.

  • @MagisterTom - America rose further, faster, higher than any civilization in history. We are the most free, have the most opportunity and are the most peaceful society ever in human history.  That this obvious fact escapes even educated people means that ingrained stupidity is ruling the land.

  • Hate to say it but no one outside America thinks America’s all that
great. I’ve been there a few times, about the only thing I can really
say I liked is how much food you can get for so little money. Still,
    each to their own.

  • Overall, yes. Health care will hit a nerve with a lot of people, but essentially, if you have money or don’t have a terminal illness, health care is awesome here. We still have the best doctors in almost every arena (thank Bush for setting us back in specific genetic areas). The average American, especially young impoverished Americans(which is most young Americans anyway), have overall shitty health care.

  • Best Economy? HAHAHAHAHAH. Classic joke.

  • In any country people, the more you travel around the world, you will more appreciative your own country. So the assumption 84% toward the positive reactions never out side of the states I prone to have a different thought. If not say America isn’t great, America is very unique of a country at least you can say. America is a country little of every part of the world. If it sucks, no one would come here for example, for studying English, job, and/or whatsoever reason. I highly doubt china will be the next global leader. As some one said earlier, they got the money but it’s fundamental giveaway from America and other developed country. Another hopeful thought is American government and public systems are running transparent relatively then other nations. Citizens have a individual freedom of speech. Surely, America seemingly losing their economic power at this point as other developing nation has arise like America already did back in 60s but that will also quickly change.

  • @polexperfection - Mexico doesn’t have a problem with illegal immigrant American wetbacks crashing through their borders by the millions. Neither does China, Russia, Argentina, or any country in Africa.

Only the brainwashed minions of the America-hating Left have a problem with America.

  • @JinnLedet - It used to before Obama and the Democrats got a hold of it.

  • @Chibi_Son_Gokou -

I agree. Regarding to NK threats, South Korean military itself alone already has an ability to blow them off with higher technology and money. NK is like little puppet to china. Without china they cannot cause a war.

  • Just stopped by to see how many ‘I hate America’ comments you got. The number didn’t surprise me. I proudly call myself an American, and I love this country. If you others don’t, so be it, you’re entitled to your opinion. Though if you do live outside of the US and hate America, will you do us Americans a favor? Please petition your governments to stop taking our financial and military aid. We, the working people of America that are supplying all of that, would greatly appreciate it.

  • @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - America “IS” the greatest country. Not “was”; come on, if you’re going to use a certain frame of time, at least stick to it.

  • about the econimy, i think looking from a person’s perspective living a large country, that statement can be said to be true…   but if you look at it as a nation, i think the US is pretty much dependant on its military power to maintain its economy afloat..   without the military might, the US might just experience the bust some european countries have felt…

  • @addyorable - all of the Xangans from Malaysia that are operated by one person have declared war on the United States and I’m sick and tired of them attacking America and Americans.  It’s time we strike back.

  • Our older adult population is among the poorest in terms of developed nations. Cue the “AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!” theme song.

  • I love that being critical of our nation is tantamount to “hating” it in the minds of so many.

  • @SnowshoeTrails - agreed.  But I don’t go around pumping out “CANADA IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD”… we are humble people.

  • Definitly not….
China’s economy is WAY better than the U.S, but Canada is also better sooo………. Definitly not.. Not to mention alot of places in Europe… America is in such debt and the economy sucks.. Hows that good?…. 84% of Americans are stupid…… Ok, maybe just ignorant

  • Depends. Were you born in the US?

  • @Pysia89 - If I say my children are the greatest children in the world am I really saying that the other children in the world are crappy, bratty kids?  No, I’m not.  When I feel my country is the greatest country I am simply showing patriotism.  Never would I say that other countries are horrible.  There are many countries that are pretty damn good too.  But I’m American and I will show no shame in saying “The United States of America is the greatest country in the world.”  I expect citizens in other countries to feel the same about their own country.  Of course it’s nationalistic, that’s okay.  It’s like saying you should be shameful of your talents or something because some of us have no talents.

I’m gonna check out those stats later, it’ll be an interesting read.

Divorce is not bad.  Divorce allows women to escape abusive relationships.  It allows men to do the same.  It allows people who are unhappy to later find peace.  We are humans, we make mistakes why should the government or society force people to live with mistakes for the rest of their life?  (This doesn’t mean there aren’t people who seem to give up too easily on their marriage, but that’s not a call for the government or society to make.)

  • @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - It would be more kind of you to not use racial slurs like “wetbacks”.  Signed mother of “wetbacks”

  • @chicbananas - I had a friend who had to wait months to get an appointment to see a specialist.  I am sorry, but I forget what the issue was.  It wasn’t life threatening though as in immediately, but something that if it was fixed sooner she would have peace and not be in pain.  I want to say it was something about a muscle.  I just can’t remember.  Another friend had to travel several hours to get specialized care during her pregnancy because the province decided that type of care wasn’t needed in her area, despite her area being well populated.  So, I’m not talking waiting hours in an emergency room.  I’m talking months.

  • This is hilarious. For one, its FOX NEWS. Wow, with such a reputable news source, you can’t go wrong right? Second, Healthcare in America is awfully expensive. If you have money, then maybe its the best in the world, but you could learn a HELL of a lot from an inclusive healthcare system like the NHS which despite being constantly knocked, will always treat ANYONE regardless of economic status. Third, have you been to another country? How about two? Or three? If you go to any country with money, you are going to have blast. Come to America poor, with few qualifications and you will die there is the same state. Social mobility in your country is a myth. You only have to walk as far as the inner city to see the ethnic ghettos where the destitute look for a chance that is based on a myth.

America: Best country if you have money and believe everything you see in Fox news.

I know your just trying to start debate, but at least put an OUNCE of effort into the research. It is posts like this that spark FALSE opinions that Americans are dumb, bigoted and racist… Which the majority aren’t before I get hate comments.

A better country than the US? How about Switzerland? Highest quality of life, one of the best healthcare systems in the world, and the highest level of happiness and hope for the future. And I am not Swiss.

Do some research for the love of God.

  • @polexperfection - Hate to say it but I’ve been to other countries and no not everyone outside hates America.  I’ve run into a lot of people who liked America just fine.

  • @pdvossen - At least it is fairly easy to declare bankruptcy in America.  In the past, people went to jail for not paying their debts.  America began the whole bankruptcy being more kind stuff.  Some countries still don’t even have bankruptcy.

  • @omgroxie -  That’s a good question. In the mean time, people who were born outside US in the US military base or people willingly chose and granted their citizenship supposedly considered as patriotic as people who were born here since it’s as part naturalization processing of this one last question remained to be truthfully “Are you willing to take the full oath of Allegiance to the United States? “

  • That’s funny, ’cause the average American pretty much knows nothing about other countries, so the fact that they think the USA is the greatest is rather meaningless other than having the implication that Americans make quick judgment about others. P.S. I’m not an America hater.  I just think our average citizen isn’t qualified to make this judgment.

  • I think 84% are white people who have as much dislike for other countries as much as xangans supposedly hate america.

  • Asking what the best country in the world is, is like asking what the best person in the world is. It’s subjective. And if you’re asking Americans that, you’re asking people with a clear bias who generally know very little about the countries in the world.

  • @crazysogul - That’s a good point. But I was actually just asking because everyone knows whatever country Dan was born in is obviously the best country in the world.

  • @CambumboKid - Interesting. What makes you automatically speculate those 84% were all white people and Xangans hate america? That’s reverse biased.

  • @crazysogul - Did you read the blog? Dan said that most xangans are sometimes american haters. Double check, i’m sure it was still there when you read it the first time, that is… if you read it at all.

  • @CambumboKid -

sometimes people rub you the wrong way. And I did read the whole entire blog tho. I might be unduly biased as you tho lol

  • How can we be the greatest country if our drinking age isn’t until 21 and hookers are illegal?

  • You have seen “Team america” and “Borat”? THAT is what the rest of the world thinks of America, but you said you’re the best so can I get a FUCK YEAH!?

  • Jk! I went to LA and it was pretty sweet, I especially liked the poverty stricken areas.

  • We have the best health care (this might change if our health care becomes like some other countries).

    ^Troll

  • On a more serious note, “greatest” is a relative term. I wouldn’t want to live in America, I didn’t think LA was that “great”, I thought it was OK, I thought it was without culture though, in fact I found it to be tacky, bordering on lunacy, everything seemed fake. It was without. There was SO MUCH but it was lacking.

And the people I met were boisterous and annoying.
But I know I only met a small minority and saw a small pocket of america, so I wont be an ignoramus here.
I would like to visit more of America before I make up my mind. But what I saw does not constitute, in my mind as great… rather as deceptive. I’m sorry. I am sure though that it is great to live there, without a doubt. But go visit other countries because the have more to offer you beyond that veil of crisp clean streets.

  • In Malaysia, people are still walking five miles to get water and are peeing in a hole in the ground.  I’m sure the Xangans from there venting their hatred feel some sort of envy.

@Footballblogs - Have you lived in Switzerland?  Is it cheap to live there?  Sure, the Swiss may have a stable economy and all and are fine sellers of chocolate and watches.  Maybe it’s a fine country to live in for a bit.  But overall the best country?  Not even close.  The country is way too dependent on foreign investment to survive and doesn’t even have a self-identity; it’s just a collection of other European cultures living in one place.

As for people arguing over free health care, why is it that so many people from countries that have free health choose to fly over here to use ours?  In fact, last year the Prime Minister of Canada underwent some major surgery in Miami.  He would have rather paid a whole bunch of money to use our health care system than to use his own for free.

  • @Sarudomin - Wow I got called a troll for the 1st time in 9 years on here. I’m gonna go celebrate.

  • Actually, America’s economy is on decline and Japan, even with the tsunamia and earthquake are on of the only countries on Boom currently. Also I don’t think it has the best medical care. Europe is better as only about 60 (something, I can’t remember the exact figures) % recieve adaquet health care.

  • @Nushirox2 - Economies are always on the decline at some point in time or another.  Japan just got out of a 10+ year recession.

  • @chadwilly - I’m sure your experience would have been better in San Francisco, where all the pinkos and commies live.

  • @TiredSoVeryTired - Your attempt at imposing political correctness instead of addressing the actual point is characteristic of the liberal position that all other positions are illegitimate, especially if they are not couched in liberal-approved language.

My point is that the poor, huddled masses of the world want desperately to come to America, not the other way around.

And that is because they think  America is the greatest country on earth.

  • @itangel - o_O You really think that impoverished, politically isolated, crumbling North Korea is on the ascent?

  • i don’t know about health care?????

  • @chadwilly - Actually I meant the statement I pasted is a troll, not you. Sorry for the confusion.

  • First of all, I bet a lot of Americans have not been to Europe yet.   Two, the best health care system, really? I’ve heard otherwise…(as in, people not even being able to afford health care)

And three..ick, this post makes me a little nauseous. Well anyways, you can think whatever you want, but I can tell you with 100 procent certainty that this view is NOT shared in Europe.  (Where the quality of life is better, people speak some other languages and don’t speak annoyingly loud. And yes I am aware this a a major generalization, but a post like this will do that to a non-American person). Now mind you, I have not been to the US, and I would really love to, and I certainly will in the future. But that attitude of ‘we’re the best’ is just so disgusting.
    Ok, cue flaming and hating.

  • @Sarudomin - OH WHAT?! Celebration over I suppose.

  • @NikBv - give it several years… I only said Northa Korea will attack us if China does not.

  • @Sammie_The_Conservative_Dipshit – Wow, who the fuck are you to assume I’m a lazy government moocher? I’ve worked hard to get what I have, and I firmly believe other people should do the same. Unlike you, however, I think that, when people are dying in the streets and have absolutely nothing, we should not spit in their faces. And if someone doesn’t want to work hard, then we shouldn’t be paying their bills.

And like @airborneroses - said, not all liberals mooch off the government, and not all conservatives are hard-working people-in fact, many rich conservatives got that way because mommy and daddy paid for everything for them, and some have never worked a day in their lives. Furthermore, I don’t expect the rich to pay more than us-I just expect them to pay the same amount of taxes as everyone else.

Unless you can apply a universal law to people (I.E. Everyone must eat to avoid dying of starvation), saying “all Xs do Y, and all As do B” is ignorant and poor reasoning.

Here’s some advice for you: instead of spouting off ignorant Sean Hannity talking points, why don’t you go out and meet some liberals like myself? You’ll find that many of us are hard workers, fiscally responsible, and good people. Reality is much more interesting then anything the GOP can make up to get votes.

  • @airborneroses - Well, I know many people who would disagree with you. They are Americans who never have needed help from their fellow brother. What runs in your veins, blood or water?

See, again and again it is this dependency mentality being force fed to the American people that is destroying our republic. You cannot honestly be so pathetic. Sure, you may just have been fed a little of the Obama juice, but you could not be so silly. Maybe just a hint misguided.

I will school you in simple truths. People these days do not need government assistance; they need the government to butt out of their lives and allow them to be independent. My poor mother lives off of that mess, and it has done her little, if any, good. In short, what we all need is to return to the days when people help people, not allow the government to help people. Government aid does more harm than good, because it makes people dependent and increases narcotism in business, to the point of where businesses lose their will to do what they do best–to provide jobs and an economic asset to the community.

Obama is trying to make people in this nation dependent on his aid. My question is, what is his angle? The only possible answer is, he wishes to destroy American greatness and superiority. Of course, he does not wish to do it openly, but in secret. And liberals are buying this Banzai B.S. They are willing to be his dependence slaves.

Why do you think, honestly, that Obama lost the House of Representatives in 2010? Because American voters sent him a message–Butt out of our lives or you will be next to be fired. In short, they are telling him to stop trying to exert his will on our lives. They sent him a message that explains itself, and yet the stubborn mule does not get it. Rather than try to understand the honest wishes of the people, Obama is willing to flagrantly ignore them and do as he pleases without restraint. I cannot believe that reasonable people would actually support this tyrant.

So let me give you and your liberal pals some advice–Understand that people do not need government assistance 100% of the time, if at all. And if that is what Obama wants us to become–a nation dependent on federal aid all the time–he will lose.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA “We have the best health care”. You have got to be kidding me.

  • From what I have heard of other countries, I certainly do think America is the best to live in overall, but I don’t think that will be very long-lived. Currently I am enjoying my rights but I feel as though many of them are being challenged and I am NOT enjoying that.

I don’t like that many people consider Americans to be arrogant. Mostly Americans that I know seem to insult America and its people and seem ashamed of it. I would say that other countries are much more nationalistic/patriotic.

  • @Lordv16 - Maybe that’s because it’s the size of several European countries. Ask someone from central Russia how many time’s he’s been out of the country.

  • I heard DENMARK was the happiest country if that means anything.  I think the US bases it’s status as the “best country” to much on material wealth which is really pretty sad.

  • i love america.

but i would say canada and australia is just as great.

  • @Boogalice - Luckily, with the invention of planes, such a thing is a minor issue.

  • America is a very privileged country, I feel very blessed to live here :) It may not be the “best” or it may be, I think that’s all subject to opinion, but I think it’s better than a LOT of other places.

  • Liberals are under the hallucination that free health care = better health care.

  • @Lordv16 - Constant travel isn’t cheap. I’m not saying that travel isn’t a good thing, I’m just saying it’s not quite the same for a denizen of a larger country.

  • @TiredSoVeryTired - Thank you!  I agree 100%, it isn’t that hard to see & I can’t believe they even used that “argument” as to why the US would be a lesser country for it.

  • Clearly, Great Britain is the greatest country on earth, its the only country in the world with ‘Great’ in its name for a start. and if you don’t believe you’re great, no-one else is likely to think so. we’re so great, we call ourselves great, we are the greatest.

  • @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - Your attempt to label me a liberal is a big fat FAILURE.  I’m a registered Republican, thank you very much and I don’t take kindly to racial slurs that mar my children.  They are half-Mexican and their grandfather legally came to this country while their great-grandparents did not.  Still, the point I was making was against using racial slurs in making a point.  So kiss my George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, John McCain white conservative voting ass!

  • @FallingSafely - Yes, we have a standing request with Dan to create as much drama as possible!

  • @ShimmerBodyCream - Hookers are legal in Nevada!

  • Bro, I live in America and it’s full of a bunch of hillbillies and close-minded religious people. Nah, I’d be definitely inclined to believe America is not the best country.

  • Are you an AmeriCAN or an AmeriCAN’T?

  • In my eyes, America is one of the greatest countries.  I live here & while things aren’t always easy I know they could be MUCH worse if I lived in certain other parts of the world.  So I feel rather blessed to call America home.  I love my country, just as any citizen of a country should love where they live as well.

I haven’t been outside the country (can’t afford it yet) but I would LOVE to travel.  Ireland & Australia being at the top of my list.  However, I don’t think that disqualifies me from making that claim that America is one of the greatest countries in the world.  I highly doubt that anyone has been to EVERY country in the world.  And even if someone had, being in just one, two or three places in any given country doesn’t always give you the whole picture.  Visiting is also very different from living in a place.  So truly, NOBODY is 100% “qualified” to be making generalized statements I suppose.

What I love about our country is the natural beauty, freedom from the worst kinds of religious persecution, freedom of speech & press, Disney Land & World, etc.  Yet I am not so naive to think we have it all right.  There are DEFINITELY things our country could do to improve itself.  There are definitely things our country is doing wrong.  However, any country run by imperfect humans is going to be imperfect as a direct result.  Soooo…. there is NO country that is SO GREAT that it can be considered #1 in all the world, I don’t care what stats they use or what qualifications are used.   We should all be patriotic toward our own country (this includes those in other countries toward their own country) or find a country you can be patriotic about & live there.  I think most countries have their own greatness as well as their pit falls.  Just like EVERYTHING else in life.

People hating on America – give it a rest.  If you live here, find somewhere else to live so you can stop complaining & being so negative.  Learn to count your blessings as SO much else could be worse here as in other countries.  If you don’t live here, then get over it & be glad you’re not here.  Like I said – NO one country has everything right to be called #1 in the world.  “Best” is subjective.  Personally, I think there’s a small list of countries that I’d expect could be called great.  Not to mention, we should all be patriotic toward our own countries.

  • @Chibi_Son_Gokou - Have you lived there before? I personally never have, however the fact it regular comes out as #1, #2 or #3 in polls on healthcare, quality of life, life expectancy and contentment suggest it is one of the best countries. Where is your evidence that it is not? Experience? I can understand that, otherwise I think my point stands.

Like I said in my comment, the USA has the best healthcare, if you have the money to pay for it. Yes, you see world leaders, stars and the mega rich heading there for surgery and what-not, because they can afford the best. Everyone without money in the USA struggles with healthcare, although I would be really pleased to hear that this is not always the case.

Chocolates, watches? Really? So Americans all like Donuts and make Cars, and the Brits all eat Scones and build ships? I can throw stereotypes around as evidence as well.

  • …or an ameriCUNT?

    @Da__Vinci -

  • @Footballblogs – It depends on how you define “best”.  There are many elements that go into how a country is the “best”; not just how it is to live there.

  • @chicbananas - Good point, but I stand by what I say. There are those who have experienced the injustices, but there are those that hate blindly, and those are the ones I dare to go somewhere else.
You can’t fix something until you have pride, or at least a little faith in it.

  • @thesilverface - I really hope you’re kidding, because that was one of the most disgusting generalizations I have ever laid my eyes upon. While we are conservative compared to a lot (or most) European countries, we are by no means close-minded. Accepted and acknowledged.

  • We’re waaaaaaaaaaaaay far down on that list, too.

  • Sure, US is great from an economic freedom perspective, but has a lot to be desired otherwise. The US is also wasteful, so having the biggest military and economy is not so great when you loook at the details. Other countries use their military and economy far more efficiently. Best country in the world? Hmmm. I haven’t thought about this in a while, Finland used to get good marks in various independent indexes though.

  • @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - If you think that people who choose to live in beautiful, culture-rich places like Italy actually secretly wish to pack up and go and live in America then you’re sadly mistaken.

  • Twice as many americans as own passports think america is better than all those countries they’ve never been to.  I bet germans in the 30′s and 40′s thought they were the best too.  Sort of a master country if you will…

  • @chadwilly - My great grandfather was so impressed with Italy that he ran like hell to American where he could own his own grape vineyard. The little guy doesn’t stand a chance in Europe.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - I’m not part of that group, just FYI. I’ve never been anti-American (I almost MARRIED one).

  • it’s a good country- I’m not sure if it’s the best but it’s all I’ve ever had longterm exposure to.   I don’t think our healthcare is the best, though, and I don’t think it’s necessarily a good thing that we have the largest economy because so much of our government now is in tumult because its success is so deeply enmeshed with our economy.   Which I guess is obvious, but it creates a catch 22 where America has to sort of encourage Americans to put themselves at an economical disadantage (continually buying things we don’t need) because it’s good for our economy.
And it’s true people come to our country, but we’re hardly the only country to get large numbers of immigrants.    Plus that doesn’t necessarily say so much about the greatness of our country, so much as the poverty of their home country.

  • @addyorable - ok then you are out of the line of fire

  • @TheThinkingPerson - Amen. I really don’t understand why being critical of our country is often considered unpatriotic. To me, a true patriot would want their country to be the best it can be, and we clearly have room for improvement.

  • @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - Well good for him, running all the way to America, he deserves some sort of grand medal . But really, American wine? Never had any.

Hey, I live in Britain, no chance of a vineyard here, so don’t rub it in, eh!

  • @chadwilly - But my great grandfather’s story is the story of 10s of millions of people who came to America to escape the European mess. Evidently all that European culture is very oppressive to people who love freedom.

  • Interesting. I do have to say that America is a great contry, not that I’ve been there, but of course there is always the downsides. Such as insufficient health care and education (there’s a new documentary on the problems with the American education system). Also currently with the economic downturn there have been lot’s of problems. Whereas in Australia the GFC has been very minor due to the mining boom (lucky us). We’re not debating about finance but about whether or not Fiber optic broadband is a good idea. (It’s a bit late to debate about it now though, but right-wings are right-wings)

We also have free health care, my dad would be dead if it wasn’t for that. He would have to pay about $2000 a packet for his medication.
Also you do seem to have a lot of trouble with privacy laws and copyright issues.

  • America is definitely better than a lot of places, but unfortunately it’s that mentality that allows people who don’t work as hard to ride the coattails of those who do. It’s like being from a country gives you a badge of pride. But that exact same thing goes for Americans who hate their country – if you hate it, you should be part of a community to improve it so that it can become better.

And yes, our health care system may be top-class, but it doesn’t always help those who need it. Even if UK is poor, at least its citizens have a better standard of health.

  • Out of all the things you listed, healthcare is where we’re at the weakest. Japan has infinitely better healthcare than america and at 500% cheaper, no exaggeration.

  • @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - Gah I know, I wasn’t being disrespectful, I was trying to be humorous. Humour over the net- lost in translation.

    I communicate in humour, it’s just the way I am… /shrugs.

  • I love the USA. We’re the best country in the world. Hands down <3

  • Who the hell cares about healthcare? We invented rock ‘n roll and hip-hop, and our culture is quite literally a postmodern nightmare. Of course we’re number one. U.S.A.! U.S.A.!

  • @TheThinkingPerson -

” In addition, wealth is disproportionately possessed by the higher classes while many Americans live in poverty.”It depends on how you define “many”.  If you’re speaking in purely numerical terms, sure, because we also have roughly 315 million people living here.  If you’re talking in percentage terms, then no.  In 2008, there were roughly 7,252,000 families living in poverty in the US.  Sounds like a lot, right?  However, that was only 9.7% of the population.  That means that 90.3% of families in the US were NOT loving in poverty.  This is from the US census bureau and available for free online.

“Our health care is world class, but very few Americans can afford it.”Wrong, most Americans CAN afford it.  Again, only a small percentage does not have insurance and even then, we have Medicare and Medicaid for the poor and elderly.  It’s also been shown many times by researchers that most of those who are uninsured are actually young, healthy people who are recently out of school and choose to not have insurance because they think that they’re not likely to need it and would rather spend the money on other things.
“Having the largest/strongest military is nice, but it also means large portions of our budget that could be spent on education and infrastucture are spent on guns and ammunition.”Quite true.  There’s no reason for us to have military bases in almost every country – let them defend their own countries instead of getting a free ride from the US taxpayers.

***Totally unrelated note, does anyone else know why Xanga only wants to properly format my posts about 1/4 of the time?

  • @TiredSoVeryTired - Specialists here operate the same way, though. People often have to fly to another state to see specialists, and our waiting lists for new patients are very, very long (months). I think that’s just how it’s going to be everywhere.

  • @Sammie_The_Great - I never claimed to be liberal or Obama-loving, and I won’t even bother touching on the absurdities of some of your cut-and-dry statements and assumptions on the wealth of my knowledge, but your condescension is well-noted. I was simply telling you that making absolutes, such as the ones you made, will never be useful in a valid argument. You do not know every single person, you do not know their situations, and you do not know for fact as to how they came to their current standing in life. It’s okay, though. You’re a lover of all things Limbaugh, clearly, and those kinds of people simply can’t be helped.

  • @TheThinkingPerson - Here ‘s another, asshole–Go to hell, and take your liberal asshole friends with ya.

  • USA? seriously the number one? Number one from the back, yeah :P

  • @TheThinkingPerson - No, the ones who hate America are the ones who cheer for our enemies. If you were sad when Bin Laden died or glad when the towers got attacked, you might get labeled as hating America. If you want to destroy America, you might also get labeled as hating America. If you watch Fox news you might get labeled as hating yourself, but only by me.

btw the vast majority of Americans actually can afford healthcare, it’s only a small percentage that don’t have insurance.

  • In response to the original question is the USA the greatest nation in the world:
    Hell yes!
     ^..^

  • We could do a lot better, but in the meantime…  USA!  USA!

  • It’s my favorite.

  • @Chibi_Son_Gokou - True there are many definitions of best. So if you use mine, which is: the best country is one where you can live a long, rich and contented life, then the statistics point to Switzerland! Either way, I think we can agree Switzerland is up there among the top ten countries to live in, and to be honest, I would put America in the top ten as well. I just think more research and evidence is needed to answer this one, and a FOX News poll is a ridiculous basis for such conclusions.

  • @Chibi_Son_Gokou – but you have to admit chinese are the boss for business and economy things since a long time ago

  • @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - free? how about discrimination? you call it freedom?

  • I don’t know about other countries.  I know about this country.  We have a horrible health care system; it is a disgrace and immoral.  The “American Dream” is to go into debt for 30 years and while being in this debt, saying that we “own” a home – when in fact, we own nothing.  Society and government gets worse and worse.  Everything gets worse.  The American people are divided amongst themselves, thus vulnerable to takeover.

  • American exceptionalism or American narcissism? See my post today: American Exceptionalism: We’re #1!

  • A simple “no” just won’t do it.

    How about fuck no?

Yeah, fuck no works.  I like Canada.  Ireland is pretty baller too.

  • largest economy, strongest military = greatness? What about morals? values? Intelligence? Honesty?

  • i honestly think Singapore is much better than the US in many ways. crime is unbelievably low. economy is good. it’s safe. clean. peaceful. transport system is one of, if not THE best, in the world. :)

  • No. Fuck America. The only good thing to come out of America was a revolutionary spirit against the british other than that we have fostered and grown horrible things in this world such as the power of corporations. If I had to pick a country it would be Iceland. As far as our healthcare system goes it fucking blows. Privatization of many businesses is good but putting a dollar on human health is pretty shitty to do. Especially in a capitalism where the prices can only go up as competition increases. I am on the bottom 1% of the American boot. I know what it means to be rich in wisdom and poor in dollars. When I have skills, knowledge, ambition, and courage to try for higher paying jobs in this country I get shot down. The only thing that America really knows is money. That’s what we breathe, eat, sleep, shit, and die for. Our military budget is bloated like a week old corpse in the sun; Full of rotten maggots (contractors), Oozing with pus (politicians),  feeding the detrivores of the world (pet first world nations i.e. Britain, Canada), and releasing horrible diseases (dictators that usurp non-cooperative governments.) The problem is that the comparison for which country is the greatest tends to be based on the country you live in. I base my opinion on overall quality of life, intelligence of the people, isolationist pacifism towards foreign affairs, true freedom of press and religion, stable independent economy, and self sustaining infrastructure.

While America has some of all these things it really has none of any of them. the quality of life in America is and has been a downward spiral since the successful terrorist attack on us 10 years ago. The intelligence of all people I fear has been falling because of an over-saturation of external stimuli such as mobiles, internet, and TV. America fails completely and utterly at not sticking it’s nose in other governments business. While America generally has a really liberal freedom of press, people tend to think that America is a Christian nation. I can assure you it’s not. The last time I checked we have no federal religion although most right wing and “patriotic” Americans tend to think so. America’s Economy is neither stable nor independent in any way thanks to outsourcing and not placing any penalties or tarriffs on corporations who do work overseas. In recent histroy we have seen the faltering of the American infrastructure and I would personally put us as a 2nd world nation because we lead in nothing but military force.

  • Btw the world’s largest economy is the EU not America.

  • This is like saying you’re the best runner at the Paraplegic Olympics. Good for you. Have a cookie.

  • America is the strongest country in the world but not a greatest one in the world, America is the mother of Wars,CIA is involved in hate business round the world, they operate torture cells in the world, Iraq war has been proved as based on wrong information, To punish the small nos. of terrorist responsible for Twin tower blasts, they ruined whole of Afghanistan and Pakistan and more than one lac people died in the blind pursuit of terorrists, other cool methods should have been adopted to bring to justice those responcible, and its two faced approach on Palestinian problem, Ghaza people were attacked by Israel, on which America is silent but America is actively responding in case of Libiya, same approach used in case of libiya should have been practiced in case of ISraeli attack on Ghaza too????

  • Hmmmm, well let’s see. Everything I know about world history I learned in American schools on books printed in America. And the American school books taught me that America reluctantly joined every major world conflict, for justice. The American school books teach me that America is the greatest, most tolerant, freedom loving benign nation on the earth.

I’ll tell you a secret. God touched me. Seriously, God touched old porn, drug and age of consent loving me and showed me something.
End days are a coming and the cake is a lie homes, very much so a lie. America is actually the nation that is going to end life as we know it. For serious, and anyone who hears me speak the words of God will proclaim I am insane and I don’t really give a shit. I have been shown something and I’m really not sure what I’m supposed to do with it.
I know what Hell is and I have somewhat of an idea what Heaven is and the really funny thing is pretty much everyone who has something to say about either has no clue what either of them really is.
Guess what peeps, the cake is a lie. Atheists, wrong. Christians? A few prophets too late. The bible? Twisted words, badly badly BADLY twisted to suit an end, and all is going exactly according to plan. It’s frustrating sometimes when you realize in perspective of the big picture how absolutely meaningless everything we consider so important is.
I could tell you the words of the Christ they are so fucking simple it’s mind boggling. If one were to really take up the Gospel and go forth and tell everyone what they needed to do to follow God that person would be mocked, reviled, shunned, probably beaten and maybe killed if it really caught on.
I think that’s exactly what is supposed to happen to martyrs. You know, you go and tell the news, and then people that don’t like the news eventually kill you to shut you up cause it’s dangerous to them. Sometimes I think in these end times of programs and green sustainable commerce and shit that maybe we aught to be holding a gun to everyone’s head. Guess what meat with a hungry soul? You got to fall to your knees now and repent. You really have to mean it, you can’t be repenting because you fear the consequences. You need to turn your will over to God and hope it works it’s will through you, but you’re going to die in the end anyway.
Let every person live their life however they choose, so long as their actions do not negatively infringe on another person.
Break the rule, we have sausage. Or if you want to eat, you MUST make sure another eats. Only way to eat.
But it’s too late for that now. The tipping point passed. America is great, God fearing whatever. The trip is going to be a Hell of a descent and I have no pity but I think I need to find the source of love and grasp the void because the truth hurts a lot.
So that’s me, how are you?

  • @Ant_God1234567899 - You are incredibly wrong. I do not pity you, keep it up, keep it right on up. More even, please, for me.

  • @CaptFlapjacks - Sigh. I wont even bother.

@TheThinkingPerson - The problem is MONEY YOU ASS. GET RID OF IT AND DO EVERYTHING SELFLESSLY and if you can’t figure out a way to make that work then keep it up then, keep it right on up.

@phosphorickike - How come we never fucked?

@Elizabeth_Ho - I think Corea is the best country myself. How tall are you?

@Wait_by_Moonlight - WAT? There is some HELLA SMOKIN HOT DEVELOPERS IN POLAND. What can you do besides eat, shit, fuck and shit out babies while breathing my air? Maybe there is hope for you, how tall are you?
@tymedancer - Abortion, post birth, your age.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - Well now that you mention it, but it has to be foreplay, only one side of that request and that is not very nice.

  • @Ant_God1234567899 - And the ECONOMY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MEANING OF LIFE. But if you think it’s important please continue. And have children, lots of children, and work hard to make sure you are wealthy and they will be comfortable because of our strong economy.

It brings me pleasure to think of how sweet dreams taste. Like yours. Sweet sweet dreams of a dreamer soaring with nowhere to land but the dark sea of reality. :)

  • @dee_jay - Also the facial structure that populations from Singapore possess is very very attractive. That and there is NO FUCKING GUM ON THE SIDEWALK. I’d buy that for a dollar! <3

  • @addyorable - Heya Addy, long time no xanga. I’m not sure if I will ever make it to Malaysia, but seriously, we gotta do lunch if I do.

  • @TheThinkingPerson - No matter who you are, you’re always better than someone. In fact, if you’re smart you might be better than a whole lot of people! It’s awesome really, but no one would ever admit to being so awesome. XYZ, this is why everything is all Pete Tong, for serious. You got it on lockdown son. What if you had to selflessly help everyone before you were mercilessly killed for nothing. Would you do it anyway? Or would you eat the bullet out of defiance? Because no one can force their will over yours, being just and all, thinkingperson. :)

  • @FahtiSama - Is there a story that resembles the allegory of the cave in any scriptures you know of? Every time there is a prophet the message is a little more forceful. Tried the really nice way, didn’t work so good. Tried the less nice way, also didn’t work so good. What if the next prophet came and said guess what, it’s too late, there is nothing you can do. What then?

I say dance. Have a party. Rejoice actually. What this has to do with anything, nothing really. I swear it, all made up. God is great however. How tall are you?

  • America DOES NOT have the best health care system. Even Britain or Brazil(!) have better health care systems.
Plus, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Spain, Canada, Japan, Greece, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Uruguay, South Korea, UK and others are better in almost any aspect.

Except if you think having a big army makes any difference to our day-to-day life.
And just remember, America has the biggest GDP, but not per capita. Having the 3rd biggest population, it is no wonder, really.

  • @ThereIsNoBenjimon - I’m not that tall – only 5″6.

  • Id say it is better than average, oh and BTW, America also has

    THE GREATEST WAISTLINE

  • Considering how much the US of A has given to the rest of the world, especially in the 20th Century, I would have to say a resounding “YES!”  I seriously doubt that soviet Russia, Red China, Nazi Germany, or Napoleonic France would have given the same had either of them been in the same position as the USA.  I’ll add that Great Britian is just as great as the USA, as she, too, has given much to the rest of the world, as well….

  • No & I don’t know a country to name as the greatest country in the world.

  • From Sunrise and sunset, permanence is the river of time. Back in the million years ago, humans have learned to observe  and control the time of the operation of the law.
