  • Houston Xanga Meetup

Serenadante and I are throwing a xanga meetup in Houston on May 21, 2011.  We are going to the zoo and maybe a few other places and then dinner.  Here is the link:  Link

That lands on a Saturday.  I think we have at least 25 “maybe” responses so far.

The end of the World is also scheduled on that day so I hope the two events will not conflict.

Who is in?  (Rec this post to help me get the word out).

  • End of the world AGAIN? DAMN

Cryogenian period was 850 to 630 million years ago. yet here we are…The scientific community most deny that there was ever a single deluge in the last 6,000 years that covered the whole earth or even a major portion of it……On November 4th 2003 the biggest flare explosion ever recorded erupted from the surface of the Sun. It did us no harm!

Perhaps the world ended shortly after it was formed and we are all figments of an imagination so vast we can’t conceive of it!

Life ends sooner or later when the box we live in dies

it is our spirits that exist and how we stay alive!

Been Dead twice this time around and yet I am still above the ground! See you on the FLIP SIDE!

  • I’m working all day that day. >.<
But with the money I’ll make I can fly out to where ever the next one is.

  • You’re safe – the rapture is scheduled tomorrow, not the end of the world.  The end of the world (according to the crazies who believe they can know these things at all) will be Oct 21, 2011.

  • Don’t worry about the end of the world being May 21, 2011.  Harold Camping has been wrong before and is wrong again.  And he’s not the only one.  I believe the end of the world will come someday; but I also believe that, as the song lyrics say, “We must live each day like it’s the last.”  God didn’t say we would know the day or the hour of His coming, just the season.  He didn’t want us to try to figure out when He would return.  What He wants is for each of us to seek Him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and to always be ready to meet Him.  Harold Camping doesn’t even know for sure if he is saved.  He is just hoping and praying that he is one of God’s elect.  If he doesn’t know whether or not he is saved, what business does he have predicting the exact day and time of Judgment Day?  The Bible is completely true; but people’s interpretations of it are not always true.  The Gospel message is:  Jesus is the only One Who can save us (John 14:6) and that, because we are all sinners (Romans 3:23), we all need Him to save us, so that we can be ready to meet our Maker at any time on any day.  God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us.  If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, as your Messiah, please do so.  That way, no matter what day happens to be Judgment Day, you will hear the Judge say, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” rather than, “Depart into everlasting judgment.”

  • Bring one to Arkansas on a Sunday and I AM SO IN!!

  • On my way to this shindig right now.

  • Sorry I couldn’t attend.  Work, as always.  The good news, however, is that the world didn’t end (as if anyone really expected it) and the next scare will come next year when the Mayan calendar runs out!  Personally, I don’t hold them in any higher regard than I did this last bunch of doomsayers.  The bad news, however, is that I turn sixty this Monday… which is a half hour away as I right this.  That’s Doomsday enough for me!  I hope that everyone had a good time at the meeting.

  • I’m impressed, I have to say. Really rarely do I see a blog that’s both educational and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your opinion is outstanding; the matter is something that not enough people are talking intelligently about. I’m really happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
