  • Topless at the Beach

TripAdvisor did a survey of 1100 U.S. travelers and found that 78% of those who responded thought that toplessness is OK in destinations where it’s culturally acceptable.  Here is the link:  Link

  • key words: “in destinations where it is culturally acceptable”. so of course the voting percentage is high!

  • They should if they want to.

  • Yes.

I like not having tan lines on my boobs. Hell, I tend to scrunch up my panties as much as appropriate when I’m at the beach too.

  • I do it all the time. Miami is all topless beaches.

  • shouldn’t be a problem

  • I don’t mind wearing a top, really.

  • if they’re hot, yes

  • How come the title is – Topless at the Beach – and the picture isn’t topless?

  • @NikBv - Or if they don’t. I say make it mandatory.

  • @ivarahBharavi - My thoughts exactly

  • I don’t care what other people wear. I’m there for the ocean, not the people.

  •  Strictly for breastfeeding !

  • Gawd no. I was at a water park last weekend and I saw enough that made me sick without losing the top.

  • Ive never been to a topless beach so I really cant say how Id feel about it… on one hand boobs are a perfectly natural part of a womans body made to feed their babys but on the other hand our breasts are extremely sentualised by men and t.v. it might make people unconfortable… also Idk how I’d feel having myhusband see those other womens breats when in my opinion those are for our husbands only and the babys when they are eating but some culteres inf dit acceptable and are comfrotable with it so for them id say its okay over here where I love south Texas I am not so sure

  • Topless beaches are always so funny when its say, here in the US where everyone looks like me and you get maybe one or two good looking girls. In Brazil for example we are the odd ones out and they are probably laughing at us because they are all gorgeous.

  • If it’s acceptable in their country.

  • if they want to get an even tan on their tatas, then let them

  • Why else would you have the save the boobs campaign?

  • I think there should be an age limit.  No one over 30 should go topless.

  • Supposidly in NY it’s completely legal for a woman to go topless out in public. I haven’t confirmed this yet by trying it out.

  • I find it fascinating the way that people work.

It seems to me that right and left are women who are concerned that their spouses/boyfriends/fiancee’s whatever are going to oggle another woman/are not good looking enough for their spouse/SO will cheat on them. And yet, when given the oporitunity to comment on something like this, overwhelmingly the WOMEN are the ones who say “LET THEM GO TOPLESS!”…

When sex addicts/ men who confess to having serious porn addictions, etc want to get better, they often beg and plead for women to NOT flaunt these things in front of them.

I wonder how many women would really be okay with this when on the beach with their significant other and they were either A, staring hard at the topless woman (uh… yeah, they’re going to look) B, they’re staring hard at the ground now distracted from having a good time, or C, are staring really hard at THEM so as not to offend because they know they’ll make their Gf/Wife/whatever upset.

    I just wonder.

I don’t personally think it’s appropriate. If people WANT to flaunt their bodies, I think they should do it in places that are designated for such things… not necessarily where small children and sandcrabs are found in mass quan-titties

  • Two women about the same height move closer to each other, making boob contact. Two best guy friends start rubbing their dicks, top part with top part. Come on guys, do you have any idea how good it feels on your top part to rub it against another top part? Little girls get horny, I want you all to know this. I don’t think I am oversexualizing, I AM SEX!!! I don’t care who you are, you put a man in a wheel chair next to me, I can find ways to play with his foot. Sex is on my mind, I am sex, I am a virgin, I am a pervert, I am a pedophile (never committed a crime) I do wack off to underage girls, and for me, intimacy has to be physical or nothing. I don’t even care that I have a small penis anymore, if I were allowed to have sex with sixteen year old shy virgins, they would love my cock a lot more than A Big painful one. Sex happens by mere eye contact, am I too horny?

  • If they so desire.

  • The decision should be left up to whoever owns the area. If public, then the local government can decide what’s considered indecent exposure.

I’ve been tot topless beaches a lot of times, but I never took mine off except in the water. I want to keep mine covered, but I don’t care if other people don’t.

  • @baldmike2004 - I usually go to the beach at Constanta in Romania.

  • Dear Dan,

People should be allowed to wear as little clothing as possible. I keep the curtains drawn so people don’t get a surprise seeing me walk around the house.

The anwser is a resounding YES.

  • @SerenaDante - I’m on the plane. LOL

  • If it’s in a place where it’s culturally acceptable, it’s almost OK by definition.  While some people (such as myself) believe in an objective scale for ethical choices that exists independent of cultural norms, I think most people realize it’s problematic to extend objective ethics to fashion.  What is “OK” to wear in public is pretty much dictated by culture and society.

  • It’s fine with me!

  • hmmm I for the first time, do not have an opinion.

  • Um. I guess they could go topless in a beach where it’s ok. But if women started going topless at every beach, TBH I’d be a little disturbed. And like what if you’re topless at a public beach and you run into someone you know.

  • Saves the problem of tan lines.  :)

  • I believe it should be allowed of the woman so chooses.  If you bring up how its morally and ethically wrong, then maybe you need to take your beliefs and travel around the world .

  • I have no problem with nudity.

  • I’ve been going to a beach that allows toplessness for years.  Have yet to see anyone take advantage of it.  I don’t even take off my tshirt.

  • @LKJSlain - I like your humor.

  • Well sure-I would but the sight of me topless would scare everyone off of the beach.

  • @LKJSlain - Good call.  That about sums up what I would say. In the end, the males lose in these situations.  On the other hand, if you are single…

  • you actually are allowed to go topless in NY because it’s legal here. And in a few other states and cities. I think it’s okay. Men with their manboobs get to go topless. Woman should too.

  • nah, I think women should have tops on.

  • even after spending an entire day at a beach in France where most of the women were topless, I just couldn’t get used to it….especially the really old women.

  • I think it’s just find if it’s a cultural thing. The guys who show up just to stare at girls naked boobs is ignorant, but for the people native there or for who are comfortable emersing themselves in another culture topless should be okay. Nude all together should be okay.
