Bringing Back the Xanga Dead
Recently someone who left xanga a few years back, decided to come back again. It was nice seeing her after all of this time.
If you could bring back one person who left xanga, who would you want to bring back?

Without a question, Sam, wherethefishlives. He was nice, hilarious, AND an exceptionally good writer. I knew that all of his blogs would cheer me up. Even though when he came back he said he didn’t like being the funny man all of the time, I think we all would’ve appreciated his blogs in whatever form they took.
I remember if Sam commented on one of my blogs, I would get that woozy feeling in my stomach…like I’d been approved by a celebrity! Haha that definitely doesn’t happen on Xanga anymore.
There’s a lot more people it’s just strange they left because they’d been here since I’ve been here (2005) like DMV. But honestly I never understood his posts. Ha.

I can’t remember their Xanga names, but one was Marc, i think, Rick, and Nina? There were also a couple of other women and men who were really funny. They never got the popularity they deserved anyway. Except Nina she had a nice following. I miss some great, smart humorous, people. who had really interesting blogs. I guess they brought their writing to where it was appreciated. At least I hope so.
i got to share this with you guys. I was observing miami, meaning I was not a character in my dream, I was witnessing stuff. Then I hear a woman from the crowd say “there will be a snow storm.”
In summer miami, no way! And then it came, the snow piled up and a whole fucking avalanche like two hundred feet came crashing down killing civilians. And then I saw people fleeing to the mountains… something was chasing them. Something so deadly people ran in great fear. I think it was a giant title wave. Oh yes!! The water kept rising.
My first thought was Jediwa72, then I thought of JStickmann, who actually died, and whom I sorely miss, although there are actually many.

TheFreshmanFifteen was actually the one who helped bring be back to Xanga and I really enjoyed her blog, but hasn’t been around for at least a year. I hope she returns someday. Some of my high school friends I’d back as well.

In the years I’ve been blogging, there has been nobody quite as bad as she were. It’s not that she espoused malignant or intolerant views, but she expressed just the right enough of bitchiness to grate your nerves. You know, it’s like the resonant frequency of chalk-board screeches just sharp enough to rend your fucking sanity but soft enough to maintain the structural integrity of the space-time continuum.
I’d gladly accept one Osama bin Laden, half an Adolf Hitler, two DearRicky’s, and an evil Cookie Monster just to keep that woman out of Xanga.
I haven’t seen SerenaDante on here in about a month. I miss her!

I douno much of who anybody is these days but…. I can think about who I wish to see back nowadays would be the good ones that brought Xanga to life. I missed how exciting Xanga used to be. Whoever that held that together, would be nice to be around again.

Who got sucked into facebook…
I had several friends on xanga years ago who all migrated over to fb. I went to fakebook for a while. I always hated it. I stuck around to stay in contact with my old friends but I got sick of it. When I ditched facebook I wrote a farewell post on xanga and posted it to facebook–inviting people to come back to xanga. No one responded at all, not even to comment on the facebook post.

I was going to say my ex boyfriend who is now married, but we talk as friends already and he only blogged when we were dating. But I would choose my old rommate, Cristina. She was from Spain and she was a real cool chick, and she fell into depression and quit school and moved back home. I haven’t heard back or been able to contact her since. I miss her dearly!

Squeaks had always avoided the full acrimony of religious and political discussions. In the past year, she had really withdrawn from any contentious commenting or blogging. Given this, I don’t really undrestand how anyone would be motivated to confront Lucy on such a personal level.
That said, I suspect that she had been contemplating leaving Xanga anyways. The harasser was probably what tipped over the decision.
