Tomorrow I am going to teach a Bible study class at church. I tend to get asked to do it all the time but I went ahead and said “Yes” this time.
I tend to think I can pretty much teach any passage out of the Bible. I don’t volunteer to teach but I have told them if there back was against the wall and someone told them at the last minute that they could not teach, then I could probably fill in. I feel comfortable with my understanding of the Bible.
Could you teach a Bible study class?
A teacher was suspended for making what some call antigay opinions on his Facebook account.
He wrote, “I’m watching the news, eating dinner when the story about New York okaying same-sex unions came on and I almost threw up. And now they showed two guys kissing after their announcement. If they want to call it a union, go ahead. But don’t insult a man and woman’s marriage by throwing it in the same cesspool of whatever. God will not be mocked. When did this sin become acceptable?”

I have three sisters and they all dye their hair. They were joking a few years ago that my hair has some gray. I mentioned I am the only one that knows what color my natural hair is because they all dye their hair. They all pick different colors.

What is the most appealing hair color?
I was just reading in the Wall Street Journal this evening about how the internet is making people nicer. According to the article, the internet is making people more empathetic. They can see the struggles of others and it causes them to have a better understanding of the feelings of others.
I know that xanga has helped me become more empathetic to others.
Xanga exposed me to black people. I learned on xanga that black people should not be judged based solely on their skin color. There are other factors to consider when looking at black people.
I learned that liberals are not bad people. They are just intellectually underdeveloped.
I realize that fat people need love too. So I have learned to introduce them to other fat people who can get past their weight.
I learned that gay people should be accepted for their alternative lifestyle in the same way we should just accept those who have sex with animals. Here is the link: Link
I have learned we should be nice to depressed people because if we don’t, we will feel guilty later when they off themselves.
Has xanga made you nicer?
I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking to a physical fitness expert who had been in the business for 15 years.
The woman was also a nurse. She mentioned that pretty much anyone could lose weight and be thin. She said she had not met very many people in life that could not lose weight. She said people just make excuses.
She mentioned that people tend to make excuses related to their health. She said women would say they had thyroid problems or other medical problems that prevented them from losing weight. But she said if a person could physically walk into a gym, that they could lose the weight.
She said it was just a matter of them coming to the place where they stopped making excuses and started to be self-discipline.
Can pretty much anyone lose weight?
It is interesting as I read around xanga that people will mention they are looking for a job in this tough economical time.
And in that discussion many will tell what they want to make in a new job. Some will say they will take any job even if they make minimum wage. Others will say they want to make $9.00 per hour. Some people are excited when they get a $1.00 raise. (Oddly, I have not been paid an hourly income since I was in High School).
There are those that want to make $20,000 a year and others that want to make $40,000 a year or they won’t work at all.
But the point being is that people walk around with an expectation. It is funny but so many people communicate this expectation to a potential boss and the boss gives them what they were expecting. In other words, they probably went way to low and the potential boss was glad to get them at the lower price.
What do you expect to make an hour (or year)?
I met a guy recently that almost went to prison for not paying child support.
He has 6 children but a few of them were from another marriage. The judge did not throw him in jail but he did throw a few of the other guys in jail that were standing in front of him at the same time.
It feels at times that there are so many laws that are geared specifically against men.
Should a man go to prison for not paying child support?
A recent poll found that 64% of Americans could not afford a simple $1000 emergency.
