Over the years on xanga, I have watched people respond to the revelation that their spouse was homosexual. I remember a certain religious lady on xanga who found out her husband was gay.

They had children together. She was devastated when she found out that he wanted to be with another man. She spoke about how it was against the teachings of the Bible. She also told of the feelings of rejection and the insecurity of thinking she may have failed as a wife and a woman.

She wondered whether she was just not attractive. Some of her friends told her it was for the better. That her husband was born that way. He could not help it. Others said that even if he was gay, he was wrong for cheating on her. Some provided ongoing emotional support and others condemned her for her judgmental ways.

A certain man on xanga found out his wife wanted to have sex with another woman. He asked if he could watch and maybe join in.

Is it me, or are women more complicated than men?
                 

What is your favorite song ever?

On the one hand, people get to make friendships and share their feelings. 

But I also notice that some people spend a great deal of time on xanga.  I guess some of that could be considered idle time.  I imagine some people are on xanga instead of working.

Is xanga a waste of time?

I was just reading an article about how more students are taking the opportunity to travel around the World.  Here is the link:  Link

I must admit that I wished I had traveled more when I was young.  I had opportunities when I was in the military but I wanted to focus on college.  I had a few opportunities with school but I had a family, school and a full time job.

I always encourage people to take the opportunities to travel before they start their family.

What country do you most want to visit?

I need all the women 18 and older to take off their shirts and their bras and take a photo.  We are collecting photos so we can save the world from breast cancer.

I was looking at my friend list tonight and I had only 20 friends update their blog in the last 6 minutes.  It reminded me of how slow xanga can be on a Saturday night.

A few friends went over to tumblr.  I guess that is where all the cool people are going.

I sometimes wonder who will be with xanga until xanga is no more.

A white supremacist was executed the other day for chaining a black man to the back of his pickup truck and dragging him to his death while driving down a bumpy road.

(For some reason there were no posts about saving Brewer from execution).

Lawrence Russell Brewer was given a last meal before he was executed.  He asked for “two chicken fried steaks, a triple-meat bacon cheeseburger, fried okra, a pound of barbecue, three fajitas, a meat lover’s pizza, a pint of ice cream and a slab of peanut butter fudge with crushed peanuts.”  Here is the link:  Link

Some people were upset he was given a “last meal” when he was involved in such a brutal murder (as opposed to less brutal murders).

Should a person get a “last meal” before he/she is executed?

A pregnant woman who is an illegal immigrant was placed in handcuffs while she was giving birth.

The woman was pulled over for not having a valid license.  So they handcuffed her and she gave birth while still handcuffed.  She had false documents so she could pretend to be legally in the U.S.
