Ugh. I hate shopping. Just the thought of this gives me anxiety.
I would say Wal-Mart, but their clothes selection isn’t that great. So I’ll say Lane Bryant. I could probably buy everything in the store!

Probably an outfitter store. They have stuff that’s expensive enough to fill up the whole 5k, but the reason that it’s expensive is because of durability and utility rather than fashion. The one local to me that I would go to is Massey’s, but if I had to pick a larger chain it would probably be REI. I’d get a full-body Gore-tex raincoat, probably five different pairs of boots, etc. 100 pair of hiking socks.
Eddie Bauer, but be forewarned, if you go onto their site, the nature angels start singing.

I can’t imagine spending that much money on clothes. I guess I’d have to go with somewhere that sells expensive formal wear and get some really nice suits just to keep from overfilling my closet.

Probably Walmart. But I don’t think I have spent that much on clothing for myself in my entire life if you added it all up. I cannot imagine spending that much just on clothes.

Bloomingdale’s. I’ve been digging these peacoats from Theory and Armani. It’s hard to find a fitted, non-boxy, peacoat with epaulletes, sort of military style. They have a few good ones, but they are not cheap. Armani’s is cashmere, so their’s is mucho dinero. Figured I’d rather buy a really, really good peacoat and pass it on to my son, than buy a crappy one that keeps me cold and requires me to buy another down the line. The closest one I found to what I wanted was a Gap one, but that one would require me to wear a hoodie underneath to stay warm enough. Not really digging that idea.
Amazon.com. No other store would have $5,000 worth of variety.

Probably a store that has a lot of variety like Macy’s so that I can get shoes, handbags, clothing, jewelry, etc.

spending that much on clothes?!? Sigh….Can I say a site…like etsy? Then I can help out people who design, sew, and sell their own stuff. It’s pretty neat but sometimes pricey. Since they put so much work into it. I get lost on etsy looking at all the neat clothing people come up with.

do I have to spend it all in one day? I’d probably do some research first, and pick a place that has casual but also formal clothes. probably a department store like Lord & Taylors!
JCPenney. There’s a little bit of everything.
Yowziers, $5K? That is a lot of moola to spend on clothes… but when you really think about it, you could buy yourself some really nice things & then spend the rest on clothes that could be given to Goodwill, Salvation Army or to a youth center/orphanage that is always in need of such items… Spread the wealth around a little… when you give, you receive back… can you think of a better way to go?

I would never have that much money again to spend on clothes, so I’d say Burberry. Get a few exciting designer duds.

I’m not sure, but maybe Burlington. It used to have inexpensive quality items, and I would take some of the many families here who are struggling and find them things to help them ride out this coming winter.
