If you think about it, the government paid money to bailout banks.  They pay to fight wars in other countries.

Your tax dollars go to pay people who are unemployed. 

How about an investment in our future?

Lets just assume that there is a literal heaven and a literal hell.

The 99%ers want the homeless to stop free loafing.



The 99%ers are protesting the elite on Wall Street because they do not want to share their money with the poor and disadvantaged.

So a bunch of homeless people went and tried to join their movement.  But the 99%ers were tired of the homeless people eating their food.

One volunteer said the homeless people “do not pull their weight.”

Another said, “If you’re going to come here and get our food, bedding and clothing, have books and medical supplies for no charge, they need to give back.  There’s a lot of takers here and they feel entitled.”  Here is the link:  Link

Who loves you more than anyone else?  I mean, who in your life would be the most accepting of your mistakes? 

Say you got drunk and you had an accident and you ran someone over.  Who would love you anyway? 

Say you slept with 10 people in 3 months.  Who would love you anyway?

Say you dropped out of school or got fired. 

Who loves you the most in your life?

You ever notice that it is so easy to gain friendships but also lose friendships on the Internet? 

Take xanga for instance.  You might find a connection with someone because they shared on their site.  Maybe they mentioned their depression or perhaps it was their fight with their spouse.  You felt connected and so you made a friendship.  Perhaps people are not as open about their problems and struggles in real life the way they are on Xanga.

But the reverse is also true.  On a place like xanga, a person can’t read the look on your face.  They can’t see you laughing.  They can’t sense the hurt feelings.  So is easier to drop friendships too.

I guess it sounds strange to have a sense of loss for a friendship that you only had on the Internet.

Have you ever felt bad about the loss of a friendship of someone you only knew on the Internet?

Everyone reading this post has access to the Internet.  You probably have food in your fridge.

while others are starving to death.

You probably have heating and cooling in your home.    I am sure if you are reading this, you have indoor plumbing.

Back in the old days they went outside sometimes in the middle of the night to poop. 

They had to check the hole for animals and the smell could be pretty horrible.

You all have toilet paper.

You know what they used before toilet paper?

Probably all of you have a stove and a microwave. 

You have water to drink that comes to your house and all you have to do is turn it on.

You have water that is heated in your bathtub.  You can control whether it is hot or cold.

These awesome features were not available 100 years ago. 

So for most of human history, no one had what you have today. 

You are the 1%.  You are the rich.  You are privileged.

So stop complaining.
