So I find that a little bit of sexy in a unique costume doesn’t really mean short and trashy. We went to a family event this weekend where you bring your kids and saw too of the trashiest costumes you could possibly wear to a family event of this nature. There is a time and place for this type of costume and it is not at a family event. A halloween party for adults yes. I tend to lean towards unique and authentic costumes with a hint of sexy and more classy.
For the past 17 years it’s been sexy…and multiple costumes at that since I always worked in bars and we dressed up for more then one day. This year I was able to dress…well, rather normal and lazy. I wore a flannel shirt, jeans, boots, my winter hat and carried an ax. I was a lumberjack. For really small trees since I’m just a wee little lassie. I don’t do scary well. I’m too apt to laugh.
Since I’m already sexy and scary, I just go as myself, so both.
It seems like every costume for females are sexy and you’d have to be a size 0 to fit into it. Being “plus sized,” that basically means I have to come up with my own costume (if I’d want to go to a Halloween party). I never really got into Halloween, even as a kid. I was more into the movies. I tend to like the more original costumes, regardless of sexy or scary concept.
