  • Romney Vs. Obama

Mitt Romney has won Iowa and New Hampshire which pretty much guarantees he will be the Republican candidate for President.  So it will be Romney vs Obama for president unless something dramatically changes the process.

Mitt Romney was a governor and a successful business man.  President Obama of course has been president for the last 3 years.

Who do you like, President Obama or Mitt Romney?

  • I don’t like people.

  • Mitt Romney. (guess you knew that one)

  • I like turtles.

  • Obama 20124 more years!  Obama/Biden or Obama/Clinton, I’m cool with it either way!

  • I despise both of them. Both Big Government…Big Spending.

    Ron Paul 2012.

  • Romney! I voted for him in the last primary.

  • I’m actually not convinced the Republican nominee has even entered the race yet. Seriously.

  • Brobama all the way:] ;D

  • It really doesn’t make a damn bit of difference, the two of them really have all the same views on everything.

That said, it is still way to early to declare Romney the Republican nominee.  Both Iowa and New Hampshire apportion their delegates and there are still huge numbers of states to go and a hell of a lot can change in the months ahead.
That said I don’t intend to vote in the election because as I said they will both do the same things.

  • You know the answer.

  • Obama. Mitt Romney… is kind of a terrible candidate.

  • P.S. I voted for Obama last time and I think he’s a good guy with a great fam but I think Romney will be a better executive.

  • Bam all the way and if you say Romney you’re a fucking racist.

  • I’m still waiting for Godot.

  • Obama 2012 buddy!

  • *won

Sorry, I don’t usually like being “that” guy who points that out.  I’d choose BO over MR, but Ron Paul would probably cause me to vote republican if he won the nominee.

  • I always vote for the one with the prettiest smile. It tells a lot.

  • Has one what?  Oh, and Ron Paul

  • PAULETTE 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @mrcolorful - NO they do not have the same views on anything!  That’s psycho talk.

  • Mickey Mouse?

The Republicans are lagging and I can’t stand Obama anymore.

  • @locomotiv - Has to be Obama then, nobody has a better smile!  amiright?

  • Romney won 20% of the votes of one of the smallest states, only 5 delegates today, and that’s what it takes to win the nomination.  Amazing.

  • ‘Bama for the college football win (alabama). There are several new factors in the Presidential race. The existence of super PAC. Almost unlimited Money spent by unknown donors. The thought of unknown strings guiding folks to vote scares me. The Anti Ginrich campaign in Iowa is just the prelude.

Notice folks that Theo posted a larger photo of Rommey and posted his picture first. Theo uses subtle messages MAYBE. Mitt Rommey is a one term Governor of Massachusetts and a Businessman who used layoffs and other business ideas to promote a company named Bain. The claim that he provided/made jobs is just a claim and I haven’t seen the proof. I suppose we could elect Rommey to prove we are not anti Mormon and give the Republicans a chance. There is enough money being spent to brainwash a nation isn’t there?

  • I’ll vote for the candidate with actual Presidential executive experience.

  • @PPhilip - I noticed both of those things.  He should have posted them alphabetically and same sized picture if he really wanted to show any kind of impartiality, which, you know he doesn’t, and if he really didn’t want to, you know, unfairly try to influenece people, which, well, you know, he does.

    KEEN EYE you’ve got!

  • Mitt Romney is not my first pick or even third. On the up side Mitt Romney is likely they best at dealing with the economy and the best executive of anyone in ether party. And Obama is a failure by any reasonable standard. Unless you voted for him because you liked the Bush war on terror policy. Obama has done well with that by not changing it much.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - It would be nice if that experience was not such a failure

  • @trunthepaige - Hey, four years ago, you were hoisting Sarah Palin over Barak Obama for her Alaskan executive experience.

  • @DivaJyoti - He has the most radiant smile which propagates across the seas and mountains.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - Yeah I know and wow I was so right about what happens when you make a president out of a man with zero executive experience. he was run over by his pork hungry party leaders and he has made a mess of things. No leadership out of Obama. That is exactly what I predicted would happen

  • I’m disappointed to find out lately that Romney’s GOP opposition is just a group of feather weights.  But Romney, no matter what you think of his political philosophy has a proven record of accomplishment as an executive. Obama’s record is one of catastrophic failure. Results are what counts. Words are cheap.

  • Not been following this much in the United Kingdom.     I do not know much about Romney yet.

    Xanga

  • Honestly looking at the race Obama seems to be the sure thing, the republican vote is kind of everywhere and there seems to be almost nothing simular between each candidate. Honestly I like Obama and I think his intentions with our nation are pure I just think that he hasn’t had enough time to make a huge differance

  • I haven’t been too thrilled with Obama, but when forced to pick the lesser of two evils, there’s no way in hell that my vote’s going to Romney.

  • @my_final_username - @kredwards10_05_11 - I’m also a Brit and the American political scene is somewhat of a mystery to these jaded “old Europe” eyes. So, forgive my possibly naive observation but it seems to me that yes indeed, the Repub vote is spread out like a bowl of cherries dropped on the floor. One thing I haven’t seen written yet, is the thought that Romney, being Mormon, will not get the much of the evangelical vote, due to his being a “heretic”. As simple as that; I imagine that many of the more fundamentalist elements will prefer a secularist (ake atheist in their book) to a heretic.

    Or am I whistling Dixie?

  • Asking question I see, Dan. Whats your plan now, big guy ? I actually think the Obama camp has you under their sleeves. You don’t sound like a Romey man to me. I think in the early 60′s you were one of those hippie guys. You know. the anti-establishment ? We want peace and not war ? Romney is all about buying businesses, knocking them down, building them up and making money off of them. Sounds like something you wouldn’t support. Though, it sounds like a good plan to put America back on itts economic feet.

  • I think they both have likable traits, but my current plan is to vote Libertarian in the general election.  That could easily change though.  I’m still expecting Pres. Obama to win re-election.

  • The 16 delegates that Romney has earned out of the 1144 he needs for nomination does not ensure his victory.  I think the GOP leadership has bought off the national media to tell the lie about Romney’s inevitability because they believe falsely that a hotly contested, drawn-out primary season will result in a damaged candidate.  That really hurt Obama four years ago, didn’t it?  McCain wrapped his little battle months before Obama did, yet Obama coasted to an easy win in November.

But if I have to choose between the president who authorized the US military to arrest and detain indefinitely US citizens simply on a presidential say-so and the former CEO who believes corporations are people and that firing employees is a pleasure?  That’s like choosing whether I want a major surgery without anesthesia or with a sugar pill instead of anesthesia.

If these are my choices, I’m marking my ballot “NONE OF THE ABOVE.”

  • I think it will be Obama/Clinton.

  • Dan, you said rick peary was going to win. Attention everyone, the mushypear is Thetheologanscafe, he’ s having a clandestine relationship with shimmer, joking. That dude who is going out with pinktiger, if they break up two years from now, will they say bad things about each other behind their backs? Will she go for another asian guy on xanga. How many years will pass for Nadia to have sex? I got punched yesterday, my front tooth hurts when I touch it.

SerenaDante used to post a lot… a small piece of my lip was sliced off. Guess what, I got my dick sucked yesterday too, after I was punched I went to a Dunkin Donuts to wash off the blood. This chik asked me for a dollar. We started a conversation, we went deep into an isolated area behind one of those green trash can. She asked me if I had a big dick, lol. For the first two minutes I could not get an erection, it was cold out, she sucked on a two inch small one, when it became three inches she sucked for one min. Can I get an std? Next time I get head, it will have to be for at least 15 min, it doesn’ t feel good at the start. Just as it started to feel good she stopped. She wanted to have sex, but I was not willing to do that without a condom. I am scared, her idea of protection is bathing after sex, does she really have no clue about std’ s?

Girls from the street may be trashy, but they sure know how to do it right.

  • RON PAUL! haha.

  • I always go with the lesser of 2 evils, so I think I’m staying home on election day unless I’m working at the polls.

  • If I were forced to vote for one of these guys, I’d vote Obama. But honestly, I don’t think I’ll be voting for either one (and not Ron Paul either).

  • “like”? none, really.

  • Honestly? Neither of them.

  • I still support the President and plan to work for and vote for him again in the coming election.  I will be glad if Gov. Romney is the Republican candidate, as I feel that he is the best of the candidates in the Republican primaries.

  • I don’t like either. I voted for Huntsman. We’ll see come the general.

  • @Lovegrove -
your right, the republican vote is very much split up and i think that in the end the Obama supporters highly out number the Romney supporters.  now there are a lot of factors with this, religion, foreign policy, just basic thoughts on how to run this nation between republicans is far too spread out and i think that not one candidate will make the whole republican field happy.  i don’t think that Obama is going to have much trouble reclaiming the presidency, which honestly i like that idea.  a lot of people seem to not like Obama very much which honestly i dont get why? why do we think with a failing economy, big bankers screwing the lower classes as much as they can and republicans blocking any kind of progress that Obama trys to gain that we are going to get better?

  • Actually Obama has made considerable progress toward doing whatever the national government can to pull the US out of the hole the last president and his political party managed to sink us into. This despite very strenuous efforts on the part of the GOP’s congressional members – who early on announced that they though the downfall of Obama was much more important than trying to move the country back on track.

Obama got little help from a basically ineffectual congress even when it had Democratic majorities. A solid Democrat majority under effective leadership (both an impossible dream) would guarantee him a chance to bring our political-economic trouble to a quicker end.

  •          OBAMA 2012 ALL THE WAY!

  • I won’t vote if he gets the nomination.

  • @hollowhopes - Whoa, someone who likes Huntsman. I want him to get it simply because he’s moderate where I’m moderate, but it doesn’t look too likely. Sigh.

  • If i counted right, in this poll of our little slice of the USA, it’s 12 Obama, 6 Romney, and 7 for Paul. This may be a bit indicative of what will happen this election cycle.

Anyway, my vote, if i have nothing to do at any point during the polling hours, will not be for any of the above. Even if i believed in one of them, which i don’t, it would be absurd to even waste quality time voting when a Presidential election has never come down to one vote, or even a handful or two of votes. Furthermore, my state nominates the Democrat Party overwhelmingly every time. So if i liked a Democrat, it’s already taken care of. If i don’t, it’s like pissing into the wind. I’d rather spend my time better. So any vote i make would be completely symbolic. In which case, the only person i’d vote for outside of someone i personally know, is Cynthia McKinney. I don’t agree with all of her views, but she at least put her political career on the line by challenging the establishment about what truly happened on 9/11/01.

  • There are 46 states, and 4 common wealths inside of the country.  We have only had two nominations.  Iowa does not have a good track record as prediciting the nominee, or President.

I hate that for the last 4 years all we ahve heard about is Mitt Romeny.

    My vote, RON PAUL!

@SKANLYN - how so? I Think you are a racist, You aren’t voting for Romney because he is white.

  • @tychecat - Yes Obama has managed to sink us in debt, break our laws, bought GM for the Unions then let if file for bankruptcy anyways, and via funny math make it appear as though the unemployement rate is going down, when really many people have just given up. He has tried the failed policies of the past, and what a suprise he failed again. The only thing he has succeeded in doing is uniting the people against him.

  • @TigersLovePepper -  Clinton cannot run, she would have had to give up her position as secretary of state last year.

  • @ghosthouse -  actually if anyone bought off the media it would have been the Obama Administration, one because they are really close friends and they’d do it just to help out their pall, Two because President Obama thinks he can beat Romney and making romeny the cannidate would be good news for him. Whenever people like Bob Beckel start cheering for a canidate, that is usaully a sign that that person is not the person who the conservative side of the nation should support.  WHy would people in the pocket of Obama support someone who could unseat him?

  • Ron Paul is the best candidate… Yet he’s still batshit crazy himself.

So I vote for no one. Fuck ‘em.

  • @obamawatch - If you please, may I have a link to such information? I have not been able to find such a stipulation anywhere. Thank you in advance.

  • I don’t like or dislike either of these men becauseI don’t know them.  I don’t now and most likely never will have the chance to form that kind of opinion. All we know of a politician is what they choose to reveal and what gets dumped on us by biased media outlets and we have to use that and their past history of voting etc to form an opinion on who to vote for. Just figuring out which one will do the least damage is generally job enough without trying to add personal like or dislike to the chore list.

  • Myself.  I am declaring that I am now a candidate for president and am being supported by the senile party.

  • @firetyger - Exactly. America has not always had the Republicans and Decomcrats–we’ve had Federalists, Anti-Federalists, Whigs, Dixiecrats, and many others that all faded out when they no longer served the public interest. The Democrats and Republicans have both been incapable of doing anything practical except generating dystopian bills that make America a warzone and give them the right to block access to the internet.

I don’t think I’m being presumptuous in speaking for most Americans when I say **I’d like a job and my civil rights back, please.**

    Ron Paul 2012.

  • Obama.

And it’s not because Romney is a bad guy, but that the GOP is corrupt and Romney is weak.  A vote for Romney is a vote for Boehner…a Dick Cheney type of swab I wouldn’t want in any position of higher influence.  Not that the Democratic Party is not corrupt, I have no illusions, but as Robert Kennedy Jr. once pointed out, while the Democrats are 75% corrupt, the GOP is 100% and one really has to consider the lesser of two catastrophes.

There are no jobs coming to America as long as NAFTA remains in place…except low paying service jobs, at places like Wal Mart and McDonalds.  There will be no stopping financial corruption as long as the Glass-Steagall Act remains repealed.   At least with Obama, the flood gates aren’t torn apart completely.

    Obama it is…for this voter.

  • @autumn_cannibal76 - Our founders gave us a Constitutional Republic because I’m very certain they didn’t want us getting trapped into having just a couple of options for politicians. They wanted checks and balances. A small Federal government to keep it from infringing on our rights. And lots of room for debate and dissent so that when changes were made, it took time and much consideration. Consideration to make sure it didn’t go against the Constitution.

I’d imagine if they saw the major parties we have today and the attitude from many people that you can only vote for one or the other, they’d roll over in their graves.

  • @firetyger - I think they would, indeed, roll over in their graves…except for Jefferson, who wrote that Democracy is always doomed to failure at some juncture in time.  He’d probably just shrug.

  • @obamawatch - No stupid, I’m voting for Obama because he is the most qualified. He took down Bin Laden, Ghadafi, and that guy in Egypt and the only reason he hasn’t been able to turn around the economy is because he’s gridlocked by the white supremacist Republicans in Congress.

  • Mitt Romney.

    Obama was a failure.

  • I will probably weep if Romney gets into office. Ew.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - So I’ll assume you voted for Bush in ’08 (or would have if you had been old enough @ the time) then?

  • @SKANLYN - What makes you think the congressmen are whtie supremacists?

  • @firetyger - Have a bumper sticker with a picture of G. Washington, with a thought bubble that says “WTF?”

  • @DrummingMediocrity - They’re white and Republican.

  • I vote for moving to Switzerland.

  • @tenshii_rage - Yeah I don’t know how well he’ll do outside of NH :/ Oh well, I’d rather vote for the person I like best than the person I think will beat Obama. Then what’s the point? Huntsman did seem like the best moderate choice for me.

  • Couldn’t agree with u more.@SKANLYN -

  • Romney! :) New York’s GOP primary is in April, which is sooo far away.

  • Gotta stick with Obama on this one.

  • I’m not registered to vote :( poop

  • Romney.  And for those who say there’s no difference between the two, one’s a capitalist and one’s a socialist.  How much more difference can there be?

  • Obama. Definitely Obama.

  • @mrcolorful - Same thing?  We have a choice of capitalism vs socialism.  Big, big difference.

  • @Doubledb - If RP is nominated he has my vote.  And I hope you will put the country first and vote for whoever is nominated.

  • How could anyone vote for Obama? His record is that of the worst president who ever existed. He has lost millions of jobs, alienated most of our allies and emboldened most of our enemies by being weak. He promised to pull out of Afghan war … still there. Took him 3 years to get out of Iraq. He lied cheated and bribed to get a healthcare plan through that will saddle us with Greek style entitlements and an unsustainable debt load that will literally ruin the country in a couple decades or sooner. The only thing he has grown is union ranks and unions are the people who drive the jobs to other countries. He has squelched business development through horrendous and grievous regulation via the EPA and other countless Czars he has put in place to regulate our lives, as though the government knows best what we should do .. (Nanny state?). He has tried repeatedly to put us into foreign controlled treaties and pacts that would severely reduce our rights as Americans and give the power to make our laws to foreign entities. He has intentionally made gas prices go up. he said just prior to becoming president that the only way to get people to stop driving was to let the prices go o high it wouldn’t make sense to drive. Is this really what you want .. to walk 20 miles to work or be forced to ride your bike or take a bus in the rain .. that was democrats want for you.

Oh, and then there is the trillion(s) in stimulus spending that he put in place that did nothing but make the rich richer and fill the pockets of the banks who still won’t loan to small businesses because of his onerous regiment of regulations and the uncertainty of what he will regulate next. He promised transparency in government and then closed everyone, even fellow lawmakers of differing opinions from all talks on the healthcare bill (and most everything else). Nancy Pelosi said you have to pass the bill in order to see what is in it. They literally didn’t even let the legislators read the bill before voting on it. Not one republican was able to give input, every proposal was not allowed to be floored and then they went on the air and said the republicans won’t work with them and have no plan of their own even though they did but weren’t allowed to even floor it because Pelosi wouldn’t allow it. He has put known and convicted terrorists, Awlaki(misspelled but I don’t give a crap about this idiots name) and Van Jones to name just 2, into advisory and council roles in his administration. he has known communists, marxists, socialists all in advisory roles and has appointed many of them as Czars, overseeing areas of our lives. He bailed out big businesses .. why? Let them fail and someone else will rise up and take their place. We spent billions or more on these stupid businesses and all we got were executives (who donated millions to Obama’s election by the way) who got huge bonuses and we get screwed, thanks for that one Obama.
Let’s look at his qualifications:  He has none. He has never run a business or done anything besides teaching the constitution which he has brazenly violated at almost every turn. He was a senator for about a year before he started campaigning. Everyone around him is getting arrested for corruption but he has been able to escape that for now because he is the first black president. Oh and thanks for bring blacks and whites together like you aid you were going to do. I could literally go one for hours with all the crap he has done, or failed to do. but suffice it to say that if you vote for him this country will definitely be a shell of what it used to be with 4 more years of comrade obama. His intention is to tear down what we have and build it back up in the image of a more “fair and Just” nation. meaning socialism/marxism, which hasn’t ever worked for a diverse culture of our magnitude.

  • @dsullivan - Voting is supposed to be our conscious isnt it? I mean, who said we had to vote for the democrat or republican nomination. I think this is the problem with voting. We feel our choices are only two, when I do not think they are, it is a lie. I think there needs to be more of a reform in how we think about voting and those running for president. First, we pay more attention to physical image and charisma than facts and ideas. Second, the candidates much have millions of dollars to run. this means, unless you are rich, you cannot be president for the most part. And when I vote, I am putting the country first every time, whoever I think would be the best leader. If that person was not the top of rep or democrats, at least I would know I did my best. Personally, I would like to see someone not on the rep or dem ticket win, I think it would transform the way we think and vote in elections.

  • @SKANLYN - That’s like saying I know a black man is a black supremacist, or a sympathizer with Reverend Wright, simply because he’s black and a member of the Democrat party.
Can you be a little bit more specific?

  • @DrummingMediocrity -

Don’t expect a sane answer with facts. All liberals try to do is hurl insults instead of solutions. If they can alienate people from following their opposition then it is easier for them to succeed by saying “At least we are not racists and homophobes like them” then they don’t have to actually give any ideas, just conjecture and poo hurling.

  • @Brian_Jeremiah -

I think more liberals are racist than conservatives. I have seen this in many name-calling rhetoric.

i.e. “Obama is called a food stamps president. That’s racist!” Why is that racist? Most of those who utilize food stamps are white, and I’d bet a lot of money that they weren’t speaking against racism of the latter group.

Thus, the assumption that many things are relevant to race where they are not is in itself racist and borderline discriminatory, because they will make minorities feel victimized where unnecessary.

I’m not a huge fan of Herman Cain, but I saw him in an interview yesterday saying that those like Col. West who attribute everything to race and feel a sense of betrayal at blacks who are republicans (for the very fact that they are) saying that he’s “stuck in the ’50s and ’60s.” I totally agree with that. He is a very smart man, though perhaps a cheating scumbag. *shrug*

  • @Brian_Jeremiah - BTW ur profile picture is prejudiced against retards. :P

  • @DrummingMediocrity -

Jesse jackson and Al Sharpton are 2 of the biggest racists still in existence.

  • @Brian_Jeremiah - There you go!

“If you’re black and democrat then that means you must be like jackson or al sharpton.”

  • I like whoever is running against Obama. I prefer Ron Paul. I will settle for anyone else.

  • I love how idiots still cling to the idea that the president actually has more power than he/she(someday) actually has. It’s not the president who makes the jobs in the private sector. It’s all from pocket or potential small business loans from banks that cause business start-ups.

But hey, if you’re expecting the government to make the jobs for you, then why shouldn’t they bail out their companies they invested in? It’s a two-way street. We can’t keep expecting the government to step in and step out whenever we have a change of thought.

@Brian_Jeremiah - Your entire little tirade was ridiculous. Obama evaded corruption charges because he’s the first black president? Fuck off you racist wank.

Yep, we’re so diverse that we hate on everyone who isn’t rich and white. So let’s just kick the rest of them out and focus on the people who matter, right? You keep focusing on the bottom denominator and forget about the people who actually deserve the help and support. And stop blaming Obama for every little thing. Most of which you bitched about is NOT the job of the president. Obama can’t abolish racism as that would violate the First Amendment. Everyone has the right to think and say as they will, whether you agree with it or not.

And enough with the annoying McCarthy-ism bullshit. This country would do well with some changes in structure, as well as changes in how the power is spread out.

Socialism is NOT COMMUNISM, NOR IS IT A POLITICAL PLATFORM. It is a economical system in which the working class benefit more from the industrial sector than those who make up the 1% do. It was also designed to allow the people who actually MAKE the product, service, income (bosses tend to just issue orders, not actually do anything) to have an equal say.

Communism is a political system in which class and “brackets” do not exist. So while the mentality is to create a unified nation of equitable peoples, they cover different aspects of society. Neither is evil, and it is possible that taking some of those ideas and implementing them into our own could actually BENEFIT our country, rather than us continue to swirl into a selfish, self-centered cesspool of bigots and penny-pinchers.

Please educate yourself before spewing out drivel. And please stop contributing to the ignorance and ruination of a once great country.

  • @Doubledb - As an Independent, I agree that we need to boot both the D’s and R’s, and I will support movements to create a viable third party…but later, not right now.  The most critical issue we face today is saving the country from falling into Socialism.  In 2012, we will have a choice:  Keeping a way of life that we have enjoyed for centuries, or giving up that way of life and become a socialist republic.

I’m sure that RP would not want this country to go socialist, and if he does not get the nomination, I hope he will encourage his supporters to vote for whoever is the nominee.

  • @Brian_Jeremiah - Amen to that.  Rodney King asked why we can’t get along.  The answer to that question is that there are people, like Jackson and Sharpton,  who have a vested interest in keeping things stirred up.

  • @DrummingMediocrity -

So I’ll assume you voted for Bush in ’08 (or would have if you had been old enough @ the time) then?”

I believe there is something in the Constitution about a 2-term limit.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - What’s your answer to the question?

  • @DrummingMediocrity - I gave it. Are you stupid or something?

  • Why are the liberals on this blog so… mean, condescending, and so quick to name-call? Seriously. Like, it’s just unnecessary.
That alone is the main reason why I hate liberals just a tiny bit more than conservatives.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - George W. Bush and his father were two different people, regardless of how you feel about the similarities between their politics. Maybe I should be the one calling the stupid charge, but I like to avoid calling people names because my age surpasses single digits.
Your logic isn’t consistent unless you used the same reason to vote for the former as well.
So are you calling me names because you are actually avoiding answering the question, which would deem you a hypocrite?

  • Funny how the above person just proved my point. LOL either that or I’m psychic.

  • @DrummingMediocrity - Your question– through its flawed premise and its inept defense– deserved condescension.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Bush

Check out the link. There was a good reason Bush couldn’t run in ’08.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - Oh my bad, I meant ’04. lol… So anyway, given the logic that you are voting for obama’s reelection, I’ll assumed you voted for bush in TWO THOUSAND AND FOUR?

  • @DrummingMediocrity - No. In 2004, my political beliefs was still evolving.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - *sigh* Evading the point.
*If* you had the same knowledge then as you have now, then would you have voted for Bush, considering it would have followed as the same reason you plan to vote for Obama?

  • @DrummingMediocrity - “*sigh* Evading the point.”

I don’t know what your “point” is; I’m not a fucking telepath. The most I can do is to address your questions as you’ve presented them.

If you’re frustrated, it’s your own fucking fault. Please be sharp enough or careful enough to frame questions as you actually mean them. Things like choice of tense, nouns, and adjectives in your fucking questions affect their fucking meaning.

  • @Celestial_Teapot -
After I identified your evasion of the question, I reworded it for you. Feel free to actually answer it, instead of spouting vitriol at me (which makes you look really credible, by the way).

  • @DrummingMediocrity - “After I identified your evasion of the question, I reworded it for you.”

Go back to your question’s rewording. After that, go back to my answer. It should be clear I addressed the question in full.

” Feel free to actually answer it…”

I did. My answer was “no.” I even provided a reason for the no: http://thetheologianscafe.xanga.com/758232135/romney-vs-obama/?page=5&jump=1524078470#1524078470

“…instead of spouting vitriol at me (which makes you look really credible, by the way).”

    (A) Matter consists of atoms.
    (B) You are a retarded bitch.

Look! The two statements, (A) and (B),  interact! The vitriol of (B) magically canceled out the credibilty of and the fact of (A). Matter is not actually composed of atoms! I think I see your point.

  • @Celestial_Teapot -
*If* you had the same knowledge then as you
    have now…”
was my question, cited in the last response, and stated before that. I had to tell you that twice yet. You still didn’t get it.

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/vitriol

#3 : “something highly caustic or severe in effect, criticism”

  • @Celestial_Teapot - My point is you were wrong on both counts for which you patronized me, proving that not only are you a pathetic, vitriolic fool, but also a moron. I suppose that it’s beyond your comprehension to admit that you’re not only a hypocrite, and evaded my question so as to avoid having to admit so, but also bent on throwing invisible punches to anonymous people, probably to overcome the fact that you couldn’t throw a real one to save your life (or lack thereof). You are obviously more focused on making people angry than actually having respectful and mind-opening exchanges with others, as is the point of blogging. I had no idea you were a troll, but now I do, and I am ceasing any more contact with you. I certainly hope you don’t waste anyone else’s time.

  • @DrummingMediocrity - My point is you were wrong on both counts for which you patronized me…

Bush wasn’t running in ’08. I thought we cleared this up.

“…proving that not only are you a pathetic, vitriolic fool, but also a moron…”

    Yes; probably; no.

“…I suppose that it’s beyond your comprehension to admit that you’re not only a hypocrite…”

Hypocritical by what self-professed standard? I hope you’re not throwing this big word emptily as a sort of generic epithet.

…but also bent on throwing invisible punches to anonymous people, probably to overcome the fact that you couldn’t throw a real one to save your life (or lack thereof)….

Sure, I probably fight poorly; but this has nothing to do with my joy in throwing verbal rocks.

You are obviously more focused on making people angry than actually having respectful and mind-opening exchanges with others, as is the point of blogging….

In this case, yes; but not generally.

If you were interested in discussion, you’d actually further statements and counter-arguments rather than pathetically needling a hypothetical scenario. I’d happily discuss the merits of my position and its underlying rationale, but you never asked it.

“I had no idea you were a troll, but now I do, and I am ceasing any more contact with you. I certainly hope you don’t waste anyone else’s time.”

    =)

I’m pretty confindent if I’d fuck you up in most debates and discussions. I saw your comment on 2cent’s abortion blog and thought of replying. I see now should have.

  • @RazielV -

You sure showed me … Thanks for proving once again that liberals have no substance and the highest form of rebuttal for a liberal is calling someone a racist or a nazi. Good job .. keep it up :)

  • @Brian_Jeremiah - This is a mishmash of conservative talking points that isn’t even accurate.  When obama came into office the economy was plummeting, you don’t know the difference between the stimulus bill and TARP, other countries like us more under obama than they did under bush, I don’t know how you can measure how “emboldened” our enemies are etc, etc.  Polly want a cracker?

  • @Celestial_Teapot - I don’t know what your “point” is; I’m not a fucking telepath. The most I can do is to address your questions as you’ve presented them.

Ah yes… this telepathy of which you speak. I’ve only ever heard of it in legends written on scrolls hidden deep within the Guatemalan rain forest in the Mayan ruins of Nakbe. I believe when translated from the scrolls to English, the equivalent description of this mysterious ability was known as “human fucking reasoning.”. How else would you address a question?

“*If* you had the same knowledge then as you have now…”
    @DrummingMediocrity – What’s your point?

Nevermind, this answers my first question. “Not at all.”.

^See what I just did there? Remember the Mayan-English translation? “human fucking reasoning”? It’s real.

    (A) Matter consists of atoms.

“Typically, matter includes atoms and other particles which have mass.”

Atoms are made up of a nucleus and electrons, both of which have mass. So no, atoms consist of matter.

^See what I just did there? It’s called informing without insulting.

    (B) You are a retarded bitch.

By what self-professed standard? I hope you’re not throwing this big word emptily as a sort of generic epithet.Whoa, sorry had a bit of déjà vu for a second there. No wait… OMG did I just say what you just said? Since you’re probably going to ask “What’s your point?”… it is that I just used that mysterious ability I told you about to prove that you are indeed a hypocrite subsequently making  you the “retarded bitch” or vice versa.

If you were interested in discussion, you’d actually further statements and counter-arguments rather than pathetically needling a hypothetical scenario

If you were interested in discussion, you wouldn’t take a time-out from the discussion and from furthering statements and counter arguments to tell her your self-professed standards for determining whether or not someone is interested in discussion.

I’m pretty confindent if I’d fuck you up in most debates and discussions.

Right now would be an appropriate time for someone wanting to discredit another person’s point to say “What’s your point?”, as I’m pretty confident that I’d fuck you up in just about everything. You see, by asking “What’s your point” you are proving that it is beyond your comprehension to understand that you don’t understand the point, which is that you are a hypocrite.

“I had no idea you were a troll, but now I do, and I am ceasing any more contact with you. I certainly hope you don’t waste anyone else’s time.”=)

Don’t smile. You’re not even good at being a fucking troll.

  • @T3hZ10n - I’d like to engage you in a proper debate/discussion in the future. I do appreciate the time you put in a line-by-line response– even if it is in a critique of conduct rather than anything substative of mine.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - As tempting as that sounds, it wouldn’t be fun for either of us. I’d tear you apart. I recognize the holes in my own arguments better than I do in yours, making time my only limiting factor.

  • @Tout_nestpas_parfait - @Megabyyte - @npr32486 - @ItIsAllGravy - @SkyyL - @TrainTrack - @firetyger - Both of them are corporate-sponsored politicians.  They are to politics what coke and pepsi are to the beverage industry: popular, but that doesn’t make them good for us.  RON PAUL 2012.

  • @T3hZ10n - Come on, don’t be haughty now. Debate is not only the ability to construct arguments–  with supporting evidence, internal logic, and natural conclusion; but also the adeptness in their application to the larger topic and arrangement for their meta-effects. The ability of any debater in this inevitably shifts from topic to topic– changing with their knowledge, interest, and practice in the area.

Beyond all of this is the ability to communicate it all and effectiveness in persuading the natural audience.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - Your conduct is the only thing that draws attention to
you. Your content is otherwise mundane, juvenile, and wholly unnoteworthy. And
since your otherwise unimpressive personality (and presumably, appearance) is
not substantive in and of itself, you feed off of the attention you get from
people you piss off. Let’s hope you never piss the wrong person off, because
whatever you are compensating for by being a douche packer would come out when
you’re crying like a little bitch for mercy, with a foot on your face, and your
face on the ground, and a wedgie… (just like old times!).

I’m sure you’ll come up with an equally inept response as before (maybe this time you’ll call
me a butthead!), and it’ll only prove itself another defense mechanism to avoid
facing the harsh reality that underneath the attention-seeking bullshit, you
    are a completely vacuous loser.

  • @Sonofabiscuitbox -

there is no good or bad, right or wrong. Every person’s morals and opinions are different. Doesn’t mean he’s good for the country? He’s great or every college kid in my position. Literally the ONLY financial aid I got for school was the federal minimum, which Obama raised/reformed. Obama got the troops out after signing a treat by the end of his term, which he promised, and I see that as good for the country as well. Dont push your believes on others like that. If you know so well what’s good for our country, why don’t you run for president yourself? Couldn’t be that hard going against people who aren’t good for our country, right?

  • @Tout_nestpas_parfait - I don’t quite understand how I’m pushing my beliefs onto you by stating my opinion and attempting to start a conversation which scratches underneath the surface of the simple: “Romney or Obama?” question.  Financial aid for college has been around for a long time, we still have troops in Iraq (17,000) and more in Afghanistan than we ever did.  Guantanamo Bay is still open, too.  Education assistence is great, but it’s definitely not a cure-all for a system with high unemployment, a dollar which has lost its value and a country where a bachelor’s degree doesn’t mean what it did 10 years ago.  What is your major? I’m curious.  And as for running for president, that’s a bit of a simplistic mentality, I’d say.  First of all, I’m not even 35 years old (minimum age to run), and secondly, my goals in life are not to be a politician at this point.  If that changes, you’ll be the first to know.  Otherwise, thanks for your input :)

  • @Tout_nestpas_parfait - Running for president and having a fighting chance has very little to do with a person’s aptitude for winning, and very much to do with how much money he can raise. Obama himself has $1 billion raised for his campaign. Newt Gingrich just had one wealthy guy give him millions, among others. Ron Paul has more modest donations to his campaign, which is why he is less recognized in the mainstream media, through outlets that require money; but he has still taken many years to gain as much recognition and thereby donations as he has.
I’m pretty sure @Sonofabiscuitbox , and probably nobody else on xanga has the ability to raise millions or more for their campaign, no matter how fit for the job they may be.

  • @DrummingMediocrity - As a resident of Mass, I remember everybody complaining when Mitt Romney used his own money to buy an expensive new car… the fact is it’s their money and they can do what they want with it. While it would be great if they didn’t raise that much money, that’s not directly affecting us at all. And the whole run for president thing was sarcasm. I hate when people tell me what is right or wrong for this country seeing as it’s based off of moral values and each candidate would contribute some kind of good to our country if elected, probably in different ways though. Everybody in the country seems to think they know what’s best for this country, but in reality it’s not one thing and there is no simple solution. If you have faith in one candidate more than the other that’s beyond fine, but to tell somebody that the person they have faith in is wrong, that’s where I have a problem.

  • @Tout_nestpas_parfait - Okay, and I can understand that. But I raised that point to say that even those who may be competent to be president may not have that chance. I have a lot of doubt that just because a person is a politician (or has some way to get in with them) they are any more competent inherently to run the country than the person you were arguing with, or someone like him.

  • @DrummingMediocrity - I feel that they are more competent to run a country because they’ve had experience throughout their life. Of course there are going to be exceptions to the rule and there are going to be people who’ve been alive longer and have opinions of what could improve the country even more so, but a lot happens behind the scenes that we don’t know about, they we don’t even want to know about, nor will we ever. Going off that, I would think that the most competence would be in political positions, which would also give them a leg up. Theoretically speaking of course. And in theory, there are always exceptions to the rule. So I do agree with you there, kind of. 0__o I kind of just talked in a circle haha.

  • fundamentally there is no difference between these two losers. sorry, but a vote for either one of them is a vote for evil.

  • I think it’s kind of funny that a few months after Obama was in office, there was this overwhelming cry of like, “Ewwww… I shouldn’t have voted for him…” And now here it looks like everyone will vote for him again. hahahahaha.

  • To choose the lesser of two evils is to choose evil, so I’ll write in Ron Paul.

  • update, Santorum won Iowa
