Washing Your Sheets from Your Bed
I noticed on yahoo news that someone dealt with the important issue of “how often do you change your sheets?” Here is the link: Link
The article mentioned dust mites and their feces getting on your pillow.
According to the article, some people wash their sheets every 3-4 weeks and some go longer.
I am pretty sure those people are from xanga.
How often do you change your sheets on your bed?

Washing sheets 3 to 4 times a week is too often especially if they are not well rinced. The residue of the soap will cause irritation on the skin on the long run. Being too clean is not healthy.
First a towel fetish. Then a shower fetish. Now a bed sheet fetish! Can life ever be worth living ever again?
Once a week….in hot water…with bleach. :)
I try to do it every two weeks.
My main source of protein is from dust mites.
None of your business.
You are obsessed with cleanliness lately. Developing OCD?
Oddly enough, the Yahoo post came on the same day Dr. Oz had it on his show.
Every 5-6 days. I’m a little bit of a clean freak.
Every other week. I do it weekly in the summer because I love sleeping on air dried sheets. They smell so good! :)
Once a week. Bed sheets, pillow cases, blankets.
I haven’t washed any sheets in years
When you live a life without masturbating, the occasional nocturnal emission does occur. In which case I just have my mom wash the sheets. Abstinence has its rewards, though.
Do college students have a bit of leeway with this? For me, it costs $2.00 per load, and there are only two washing machines for my complex of ~40 people. But I still wash ‘em every three-four weeks or so.
Now that we’ve gotten ourselves a full size washer and dryer I try to do the sheets and pillow cases once a week. The comforter I don’t bother with too much.
That full article… wow… o__o you have to be really OCD to care that much
HAHA! I try to wash mine once a week, also with bleach just to keep my ‘whitest whites’. However…I’ve gone a LONG ASS TIME without changing them…due to general poorness of not being able to spare the grand total of $4 for a wash and dry.
Weekly. I don’t take no crap from dust mites.
*looking to the right and left* Sometimes I actually just smell my clothes before I decide to wash them or not…. oh wait, you weren’t asking about that. *clearing throat* why once a week, of course! Why would you think anything different?
I wash mine every two weeks but I have a couple sets of sheets so I’m not washing the same ones every two weeks.
Every month they get washed, and twice a year I exchange sheet sets, because I need my snuggly warm flannel sheets in the autumn and winter.
@ITS_BACONNN - When you have facial hair, you should wash your own sheets. Give yo mama a break!
………how do you get feces on your pillows? do people know your HEAD goes on them… not your butt?@__@
I’m washing them right now!!!
@TiredSoVeryTired - You look old enough to be my mom. Want to clean them for me?
@ITS_BACONNN - Unfortunately, I’m not old enough to have children with full facial hair so wash your own damn sheets.
@TiredSoVeryTired - I’m sorry I retaliated and for my snarky remark. I forgive you for your dig on me.
@ITS_BACONNN - Snarky remark? I am a mother to a teenager. I’m not offended by the fact that I should look old enough to have grown children. Technically, if I was a teen mom I could have 23-year-old child right now. And if I did, he’d be washing his own damn sheets.
Probably about once a month. But I get sick maybe 1-2 times a year, usually after being in contact with large amounts of people, so I think I’m safe!
@TiredSoVeryTired - I’ll pray for you.
@ITS_BACONNN - Good you do that. I’ll pray that you start washing your own sheets and give your mom a break.
@TiredSoVeryTired - You’ve repeated the same thing at least three times. New material, please. …I don’t do domestic chores. That is what the woman is for, anyway.
Every week and half, two weeks max. If it’s super hot out then I do every week.
@ITS_BACONNN - I think that’s a rather sexist remark. This isn’t the 1950′s, times have changed.
@mamabeans - Some women are better than others. You’re in the higher rankings, as you have proven.
@ITS_BACONNN - Maybe so. But I will say this, it is really hard to tend to raising children (especially if you have one whom is special needs like I do) and taking care of all household responsibilities by yourself. Like any other stay at home mom, I’m just one person and I surely am not superwoman as much as I like to pretend I am. We all need help from time to time.
@ITS_BACONNN - Jesus washed people’s feet. Are you better than Jesus?
@TiredSoVeryTired - I’m probably not better than him but I’m surely better than you.
@ITS_BACONNN - Naw, cuz my mommy hasn’t washed any of my clothes in the last 26 years.
Every week or so. Or immediately after sex.
laundry is a myth here. college is dirty.
Do you realize that every time you use a product or throw something away, you add to your personal burden on the environment? While of course you can’t completely stop using resources or consuming goods, there are small ways that you can dramatically slash your personal burden. Just by using low-dose, low-burden cleaning products, you can deliver huge benefits for generations to come. http://www.goodtre.com/10.html Best natural products here!
We only have one set of (ridiculously expensive) sheets, so I wash them once a week and put them back on. But I have allergies, so I have to wash them or I start getting headaches.
we washed sheets every one or two weeks (depending on the season) in the United Kingdom and what else needs washing. If we have spilled something on the sheets we will changed them sooner. We have duvet covers as well (light tog in summer) heavy tog in winter. we tend to wash these every two weeks. This is the same for pillow casesYou have asked us these questions, now we will like to know how often you changed sheets, pillow cases etc
@Tout_nestpas_parfait - lol, they’re talking about the mites not human feces!
Once every two weeks I dunno it’s how my mom taught me to wash them so I follow suit I mean is it bad to do every other week? Or is it truly sufficient? Because I honestly don’t know
eh…well……*grabs sheets to go wash them*
once a week. Like the fresh smell.
A LOT BECAUSE I LIKE TO BARF ON THEM. LOLOL RUFF.
i think every fortnight is good enough. Okay, maybe you wash it weekly during hotter weather. It really depends.
Every Sunday — my laundry day.
@ITS_BACONNN - Neckbeard be trollin teh jelliz! Living at home with mum, eh? How does she feel about you liking the dick? Has she ever walked in on you and a sweaty Greek deli owner doing what can only be described as “The Jackhammer”?
@locomotiv - Not sure if you’re directly responding to the frequency of washing that is in this post (I didn’t read the link)However, just to clarify, the post states washing sheets every 3-4 weeks…. not 3-4 times PER week. So the post is basically saying people wash their sheets about once a month.
@RazielV - Actually I’ve managed to remain a virgin. You seem to have some obsession with faggotry, and once again, your attacks are the same thing but re-worded. You really do think you’re Xanga’s elite, don’t you…? Good for you, skippy.
didnt u post this days ago? y does it always show up in my feed esp when its already old
I bet you wash yours every day. Or you have your housekeeper wash them. I think if you had to do your own laundry, you’d be a little more conservative on how often you wash your linens.
I embrace the grimy feeling of old, dirty bedsheets like a big ass teddy bear.
What? You’re suppose to wash that?
Twice a week.
“I’m pretty sure those people are from xanga.” – What a sanctimonious douchefuck. Nothing new, of course. @leaflesstree - Someone that uses towels only once is already suffering from pretty heavy OCD. Making two more posts on cleanliness just adds a couple of branches to an already burning bonfire of craziness.
@ITS_BACONNN - It’s easy to remain virginal with that beard and those bangs. Keep up the gross (repellant) work.
@sarahsmurfette - That’s fine that you’re not into me. It looks like you have the Legolass Greenleaf haircut, which is not my cup of tea. Nice smile, though.
I change my bedding about 2/3 times a week. I sleep with 2 dogs and two cats. So depending on the weather and their shedding levels, sometimes more. If I go any less than that the hair becomes unbearable. I don’t just use the same sheets/comforter over and over, I wash them too many times for that. I have multiple sheet sets and 4 comforters that I use so I’m not constantly doing laundry. If I didn’t have the pet hair issue, I’d probably go a lot longer.
@ITS_BACONNN - It’s okay to admit you enjoy a hefty dose of Vitamin Dick. Elite? Nope. I’m just enjoying the fact that I’m not a misogynistic, closet homosexual who is just scared of letting himself out. We are here to support you. You don’t have to be afraid. Shhh. It’s okay. Doctor Razzie is here to help you come to terms with your problems. It doesn’t change the fact that your shirt is really faggoty. And your neckbeard is quite perturbing.
Sheets = once a week or morepillow cases = every 4-5 daysDon’t tell me your next question will be on toilet habits… o_O lol
@Tout_nestpas_parfait - dust mite’s feces.
Once a week, sometimes once in 2 weeks. I have a REALLY small washer/dryer.. It takes forever to dry
I like to do it every 2 weeks, but being a full time college student and working full time and finding time to do things like blog….some times it goes quite a while longer.
Every week. That means that I’m not willing to spend more than 16 hours in my clothes, but I’m willing to go 56 hours in my sheets between washes.
I change mine every week or week and a half, generally.
Once a week at least!
@arsenic_and_red_lace - Oh thank you. I think that once a month is more reasonable. That is exactly what i do, and i did my washing 30 minutes ago. We also have to think of the environment. You are an observing person…
@ITS_BACONNN - I had to google your insult, ya weirdo. But to the point of the article and your responses to it, are you seriously a (single) grown man and you don’t do your own laundry?? What is your excuse to that? Why would you continue to be a burden to your mother, when you should be old enough to actually leave the nest? That isn’t love, that is a dependent relationship and is unhealthy this far into what is supposed to be independent adulthood. I cannot believe you would give your (giz covered, as you point out) sheets to your mother for her to deal with. That is just this side of changing your diapers. I don’t care how you feel about women, women’s work, etc. You don’t appear to be stepping up to be the man you should be to deserve someone saying, “hey, let me take care of that. It’s my pleasure.”
Idk how often I wash them…that depends on how well I like them. I have about 10 sets of bedsheets , and obviously the prettier ones get wahed more often.
@sarahsmurfette - I totally agree. How completely disrespectful is it for a grown man to hand his mother his dirty, semen stained sheets? Unimaginable.
Your sickness has inspired me.
i feel its incredible to wash the sheets every week in the cold months because i dont sweat i feel terrible cold i do shower every evening and change my pj’s every 3 days.so why change them every week when …..i think its a waste of water and energy if you dont sweat and you shower and are single with no life like me hahahahahaha.so im changing mines every 2 weeks.i think 2 weeks is normal.one week not at all.
Sheets are overrated, Dan. I float in midair while I sleep.
I wash my sheets about once a week
I am going to be washing them when I get home actually!
@ITS_BACONNN - im with @TiredSoVeryTired on this one. there is no reason your mother should be washing your semen soaked sheets.
I never wash them. I change them twice a year.
once a week. the towels, i use 3 times and start on a new towel…
The dustmite issue is so bad that the bed mattress folks insist that we change our mattresses more often or at least sun them in the sun. Dustmite pollution does cause some allergies. I wonder how often people are plagued with allergies? Allergies can give you headaches and cause people to wheeze and expel waste products.
umm wow. i do mine like every month… eek!
i do this too! haha
Dan, do you really think all Xangans are that gross?? You have such a low opinion of the general population here!!! I wash my sheets religiously, and I am a very clean person overall!! =^.^= Just so you know ♥♥L-SM
LOL Dan the Germophobe
Once a week at least!^..^
Once a week. I have a dust mite cover for all my pillows and mattress, too.
every couple of months. i shower right before bed anyways and i only spend 5 hours passed out without moving, so I can’t imagine it getting that dirty.
You do not want to know…
@TiredSoVeryTired - I gave my mother a bag of my laundry to wash once for a mother’s day gift…Relax I am only joking.
@Tallman - I hope your mother hits you with her flip-flop this summer! ha
At least once a week after all that sex!
My MIL, whom we are currently living with, washes them once a week, about. In my house back where I’m from, they’d be lucky to get washed once a month. LOL I don’t know how me and my husband will be. I’d like to keep our sheets fairly clean. But it also strongly depends on our schedules. I’d say maybe once every other week, at least. Once a week seems a bit much if we’re both holding jobs. :/ And I’m expected to prepare meals for the rest of the week on my days off, not to mention the normal cleaning I’ll have to catch up on. So, we’ll see. I would like to work out a schedule for all the maintenance issues of a house like that with my spouse.
I just hope he understand I’ll need help, unlike his mom. She stays at home, so therefore she has time. I will be working, so I won’t have as much free time as he is used to the women of his house having. So, yeah. We’ll probably butt heads, but I hope we can manage a clean house together.
Any suggestions on how to get a man to understand I’ll need help? For no other reason than I simply can’t do it all on my own?
Every two weeks.
nice bedrooom .it simply too nice chrome colour
i try to do them every 3-4weeks.. which apparently isn’t enough.
Keep it up!! You have done the nice job having provided the latest information.round tablecloths
I am definitely coming back again for additional contents of yours.http://www.dirt-busters.co.uk
