Mitt Romney, of course. You’d have to be stupid to vote for this clown we have now.
I would like to formally announce my run for President of the United States. Vote for me and the world will be a better place, Xanga will have readers, and Chai will flow from the taps.
President Obama
niether
While I’m not fond of Romney, I would vote for him over Obama. I really don’t think Obama takes his job as president seriously and I’d like someone who has some respect for the position he’s fighting for. But hey, they’re all politicians so who knows what they’re capable of.
Now if you’d replace Romney with Obama we could talk.
Obama
Frankly, I’m voting for Obama with the hopes that the right-wing’s fear that he’ll actually be liberal in his second term comes true. And also because I know that voting for a third party candidate that I actually support (at least at the presidential level) is a wasted vote and I might as well spend that night voting at home catching up on Glee.
I ain’t a racist so Obama. And yes, you are a racist if you vote for someone who’s shown himself to be unqualified for the Presidency in lieu of the very qualified other candidate who happens to be black.
Rob of the Sky
Another 4 year of Obama and we can kiss America goodbye as we know it.But I don’t think it’ll be that much better off with Romney. It still amazes me those who see right before their eyes how Obama’s policies have done nothing but hurt the American economy(and actually the rest of the world too) yet they still will vote for him.I’d say wake up folks but I’m afraid you are in too deep a sleep and by the time you awake it will be too late.
I’d for vote for turtles.
I’m voting for
I would never vote for the Socialist Obama – I’ll vote for whoever is running against him. If that’s Romney – so be it.
obama
the rest are racist, sexist, selfish fucks.
Obama. Cause I just HATE to look at Romney and that grin he has. It wasn’t so bad, but then I watched that video of him dissing that guy asking him about the medical marijuana and now I have zero tolerance for the man.
Jack Fellure
Sorry, i can’t trust a Mormon. Obama gets my vote and i’ll finally be living in a swing state where it counts!
Romney. I’m upset that Santorum didn’t pull through and win the GOP, but he would make a great vice president as well. Anybody who really has an understanding of ethics and morals will vote Romney.
Ron Paul
Obama. It would be a crime against humanity to vote for anyone else.
obama
I’d vote for a recall of all politicians currently in office
Ron Paul. Obama and Romney are the same person: both will continue foreign wars, continue wasteful federal programs, and continue to strip away out liberties. The only choice between these two is whether you want to have your freedom stripped away in the name of Equality by Obama, or have your freedom stripped away in the name of Religion by Romney.
and also for hundreds of other reasons, but you didn’t ask, so I won’t elaborate
Obama.
I am definitely voting for obama. I am an economics major and I read the news daily. People, before you say that his policies are hurting the economy just cause you watched 5min of fox news please educate yourself because you will realize you are sorely mistaken.
now since I live in the UK, I cannot vote for who I want to in United States.
If I could vote I would use the method of closing my eyes and pointing myself than mark the cross on the name (just like if I am doing a betting on the grand national)
Obama. Romney is a clueless flip-flopper who his own lead PR adviser characterized as an Etch a Sketch candidate. today Romney, after saying in November, 2008 he would not search for Bin Laden, stood next to Giuliani at the 9/11 site to make a show of how strong he would be on terrorism. i lived in NYC most of my life. i was at work at ground zero when the planes hit on 9/11. of all the things i could tell you about Giuliani including the fact that it took a good prosecutor to put John Gotti behind bars after prosecutor Rudy Giuliani failed both times he tried, Giuliani, because of his love of being in the spotlight overrode the advise of experts and insisted on putting the emergency command center in the trade center rather than the less glorious Brooklyn site he was advised to do. the advice was based on the fact that the trade center had already been bombed in the mid 90s and remained a terrorist target. on 9/11 Giuliani’s command center was rendered useless and the scramble and time it took to set up a temporary command center likely cost lives.
okay one more thing i’ll mention about Giuliani is his wife came home from work one evening and turned on the television to watch his press conference. it was during that press conference she learned her husband was having an affair when Rudy publicly professed to the press his love for his mistress. real class act and there is Romney today, standing next to Giuliani, playing politics and hoping to gain support.
you might not like it that President Obama gave the go ahead for an elite Navy Seals team to take out the mastermind behind 9/11 and Donald Rumsfeld ordered an elite military team to back down and allow Bin Laden to escape into Pakistan.
you might not like it that President Obama saved the American auto industry and GM is now on top of the world in the auto industry while Mitt Romney wrote an editorial for the New York Times entitled, “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt”.
you might not like it that our economy has shown 25 straight months of growth while the British agenda of attrition (what republicans propose)has sent England into a second recession.
you might not like to know that while the recession we were sunk into makes the recession Ronald Reagan inherited look like child’s play yet the economy was still not great when Reagan was reelected in spite of the fact his administration quietly added the military to employed statistics for the first time since unemployment statistics were gathered in order to make it look as though the economy was doing better than it actually was.
you might not like that the first piece of legislation President Obama signed makes it illegal for women to be paid less for doing the same jobs as men.
you might not like that President Obama has done all of this and more while faced with the most treacherous opposition in recent history, “the party of no”, the party republican minority leader Mitch McConnell proclaimed as it’s priority the downfall of a President whose said goal is to get us back up on our feet…..this in the worst economic time in our history since The Great Depression.
lastly here is one for pet lovers. i love dogs. i have more friends than many of you will have in your lives. i hope you find as many friends or more. friends are our most precious commodities. i have never known anyone who would think for a minute of tying their dog, cat, hamster….i even had a girlfriend who had a rat for a pet….to the roof of their car for a short trip much less a long trip. there are many studies that conclude a lack of concern for pets goes hand in hand with a lack of empathy and concern for people. add Mitt’s dog story to his “business experience” as a vulture capitalist and do the math. do we want that as President?
you might actually like that Mitt Romney said he or anyone could have made the dangerous decision to send a Navy Seals Team to take out Bin Laden even though he said he wouldn’t and in spite of the fact John Brennan who served under 3 democrat and republican administrations in the capacities of CIA and National Security characterized the President’s decision as possibly the gutsiest decision by a president in recent history. in saying so Romney sounds like a teen who after watching an Olympic gold medalist turns to a girl he wants to impress and saying, “I could have done that.”
if you don’t like those things (and there are many more Mitt flip-flops and outright lies to the American people to mention) then by all means vote for Mitt.
Ron Paul.
How anyone can vote for Obama after he supported and expanded the Patriot Act, signed the NDAA, and Executive Order 13603 is beyond me. As for Mitt, the man supports a lot of the same policies as Obama. I don’t want either of men from the Establishment. I want want liberty. So naturally, my vote goes to the one candidate who has a voting record to support it – Ron Paul.
@autumn_cannibal76 - Yeah, you put that well. I wouldn’t vote for Romney, but I am also not religious, and it seems like almost every canidate is all about religion in the government. I would really like Ron Paul to win as well, but sadley, that probably will not happen.
Out of the 2 of them though, I would definitley say Obama. But I cant vote yet I am only a resident in the US right now, and not a citizen, boo..
Now there’s a choice if ever there was one!
It’s either fast FORWARD! over the abyss with Obama…
…or slow FORWARD over the abyss with Romney.
Some people are asking themselves why not just get it over with.
@firetyger - Obama’s made a lot of totalitarian decisions (it still chafes me that he hasn’t closed Gitmo), but the fact is Romney would have signed just as many, if not more, since he seems to be on the path of going “beyond George W. Bush”.
As I’ve said many times before, as much as tons of Ron Paul’s policies don’t sit well with me (mostly his “fuck the poor” attitude), he at least stays consistent in his his worldview: SMALL GOVERNMENT (except when it comes to women’s reproductive rights). And a part of me has to admire the hell outta the guy for it. Frankly, I wish he would have gotten the GOP nod, at least then if Obama lost I wouldn’t have felt as betrayed by American politics in general.
Obama.
@DivaJyoti - Could you explain what you think is wrong with what I said? They both support forcing Americans to buy health care (the last time Americans were forced to buy insurance it was auto insurance, and costs went up 300% due to the de-facto monopoly created by the state). They both support the continuation of useless, expensive wars that get my friends killed. They both support NDAA/Patriot Act, a bill which declares America part of a warzone. They both refused to take an outspoken stand against SOPA and PIPA. They both take orders from the same corporate masters. = Identical.
Romney
I’m not american, but I hope Obama wins.
Obama.
I’m an ABO Occupier, so it will obviously be Romney. That said, if Ron Paul runs as a third party, he will have my vote over both of these clowns.
Romney
Obama
Romney
If someone made a Hate Meter and gauged the hatred against Obama vs. the hatred against Romney, Obama would blow Romney out of the water. Some real hateful comments here about our Pres. Remember when it was practically treason to trash Bush? Times have sure changed.
Who will you vote for Dan? My money is on Rob_of_the_Sky.
Which one values liberty?
Let’s pretend we have a choice.
I do not vote.
Ron Paul
Obama
‘bama.
@DivaJyoti - To try and answer your question you replied and I saw it in my email but not here(so I guess you deleted it) is really simple. The country will be bankrupt in another 4 years with Obama they way he spends money we don’t have.Look at the national debt and how much its grown since he was in office. This debt belongs to him,not Bush or any other President.A few other things….the housing market(mainly Barney Frank and company but still Obama was for what made it crash)gas prices(he would get some cudos from me if he would open up for more drilling,NOT on private property,he can’t stop that,I’m talking about on public land) Cutting defense is simply making our country vulnerable to being attacked again.Like you say you could go on and on, so could I.
Let me put it this way.Would you personally use a credit card to buy something and then go pawn it off to get money to pay other bills off.I know someone who tried that actually and they went bankrupt and their marriage ended in divorce. What Obama is doing with the economy is no different.
Here’s something I find funny tho.Back when Clinton was running for a 2nd term and had all his monica type stuff going on the phrase was “It’s the economy stupid” Dems used that to get past his other failings.Well,it’s the economy again only it’s awful. If Bush were president now with what has happened and had done the very same things Obama did,Bush would be bashed into the ground, wouldn’t even stand a chance with the media or anyone. The double standard is a site to see.
I’m not trying to argue with you here, just stating what I see happening and it affects me and my family in not so good ways.
@SKANLYN - Wow – if I don’t like Obama I am racist. What a convenient thing to fall back on. I didn’t like Hillary, either. Did that make me a misogynist? Would I be considered racist if I didn’t like Romney? What if I just hate everyone in general? I guess that would make me a misanthropist. But no, I would NOT vote for Obama, and I am NOT racist. I was HOPING he would be a good president but I was sorely disappointed. And I am not one of the 1%.
@Somefishytales - Obama has increased the debt more than all the other presidents put together! We ARE heading into bankruptcy. No, you can’t use your mastercard to pay off your visa! You made some great points!
@SherylM - Whatever you cowardly white supremacist P.O.S. If you’re going to be a racist then at least have the balls to come out and say “I acknowledge that Obama is the most competent person for the job but I still ain’t gonna vote for him cuz he’s black and I’m ignorant white trailer park trash.”
Obama!
Romney.
I’m a lifelong registered Democrat – 34 yrs and the last Democrat I voted for was J. Carter. And that was only because I was voting against that Hollywood actor who became president. I did not vote for Clinton and I’m not voting for the democrat in office now.
I am voting for @Somefishytales . Santorum had my vote just for the laughter of it all but he dropped out. Barney Frank caused the Housing Crisis???? LOL!! Priceless.
@tendollar4ways - Hey Homey. There you go twisting what I said.I said Barney Fank and Company ie the democrats of which Obama is one.
@Somefishytales - I tried explaing this, the effects of Glass/ Streagall…etc to you a while back Brotha…but you put your fingers in your ears and said something to the effect of Awe Shucks, I don’t know nuthin about all that stuff….yet here ya are again selling the FoxNews Bullshit that Barney Frank, the Dems, Obama are to blame for everything so we should just give all our money to the richest of the rich and hope we are blessed with the scraps of their shit they defecate. (They use to call the trickle down bs, Horse and Sparrow back in the late 1800′s till they wised up and changed the name).
Give all the money to the people who have more than they will ever need and outlaw rubbers and the pill!!!
You guys are hilarious.
Obama, without a doubt. i don’t like everything he’s done, but i cannot stand social conservatives.
Obama.
With the years of crap that he got dumped on him from the previous administration, he has done amazingly well in the three years. People ask why it took him three years to start the economy rolling upwards. DUH? Did he have a magic wand to get rid of Bush’s idiotic and prejudicial annihilation of all morals regarding the wars (which cost us all a few “pennies”) over night? The Republicans are crying that Obama is talking about the way he took out Bin Laden, and they think he is totally banking on it. What do you think a republican would do if he were in that position? Would he say, “Oh yeah, don’t even think about the way Bin Laden was removed from this earth, it was no big deal at all. America erase that day from your memories and please let’s never talk about it”?
Obama I think he has proved himself by avoiding the made crisis from the Bush Admin. Now maybe he can get some real work done after the clean up he had to do.
I’m not voting…..again. I don’t have faith in either candidate.
@tendollar4ways - Like I have said before man,I’m not a real smart man,but even I can see what this President has done.Nothing positive has happened from things he hs done…NOTHING.Another 4 years of his spending and no,there will be no more America the way it was.The American dream will be one big nightmare(which is what it has become for quite a few MORE now since Obama has been in control).Welfare recipients have doubled since Obama took over, the Gov is spending way more than its taking in.Unemployment has doubled since 2007 when Obama started.GDP has dropped from 4% to 1.5% since Obama took office.Dems have had control of congress and the house 4 out of those 5 years.Blame conservatives and you are just talking out of your butt.Rep and conservatives have not had power to do a thing about any of it man.But you go ahead and believe your crap you think you know.We have a national debt that has gone from 7trillion to 17 trillion or more I think. When its that big I can’t grasp it.Thats insane man and insanely irresponsible for a gov to let itself get into debt like that.
I’m at a point where I don’t even know if I care anymore.Romney won’t be much better than Obama.Liberals win in this election no matter what.
As far as rich people, yeah, just like poor people, there are a lot of them who are just jerks and care about themselves only. But if you don’t have rich folks to take the risks with jobs and companies, you don’t have jobs for people to work and make a living.you have ALL poor people except for people who are in Gov who just take what they want.Crap,I’m done here,it’s useless to even try to get you to open your eyes to whats going on man.
i should probably start paying attention to politics. maybe do my research, read up a little. ah well, this zombie book looks better.
Obama of course!:)
Obama. You can never satisfy anyone, people have to look at the pros instead of the cons. The cons are basically the mess that has been done before he became a president. The man is still cleaning up the mess. WAKE UP PEOPLE!
Obama.
Romney has absolutely no regard for women’s rights.
@GodlessLiberal - re closing Gitmo: he tried and had every intention of closing it but not only were republicans totally against closing Gitmo Americans voiced their opinion that they didn’t want the prisoners transferred to prisons in their States, even when the the most secure high security prison in the country was the option. republicans and FOX used the scare tactic that transferring the prisoners to a high secure prison in which they would never see the light of day would somehow allow them to create more acts of terror on our soil. a President is not a dictator. i hang the blame for not closing Gitmo on republicans and FOX “news” for using a fabricated scare tactic to sway public opinion.
@ZSA_MD - Great comment, Z — you said more than I did !
@SKANLYN - How about “I’m not voting for anyone because I hate everyone equally.”? And how did you know I lived in a trailer park? Did my black roots and miniskirt give it away? Or was it the boob job?
I’ll vote for whoever washes their towels and sheets the least.
Ron Paul. Because I don’t want to be under a communist regime.
@Somefishytales - No I didn’t delete it, no reason I would delete it, I was completely polite to you. don’t know what happened
:::shrug:::
@Somefishytales - @SherylM - All you have to do is look at Europe/England to see that cutting back needed spending is the bass ackwards approach. THEY did it that way, and they’re in their second recession now. Obama did it his way, and we are showing steady improvement. You can’t undo what Dubya did that fast, but Obama is well on his way!
@Somefishytales - @SherylM - And OF COURSE the situation inherited by the president MATTERS and makes all the difference in the world.
No reason it wouldn’t! So we will keep referring to that why? Because it’s the critical, pivotal factor when it comes to the economy!
Tired of letting the Dems make us flush then handing us to the R’s which make us go broke. You should be tired of it too.
I know fishy is obsessed with pro choice, I think that’s your main deal anyway. The other person, I don’t know you.
@tendollar4ways - but you put your fingers in your ears and said something to the effect of Awe Shucks, I don’t know nuthin about all that stuff….
I know, that’s so exasperating. Glad somebody else noticed and called it out. it’s a tricky little trick that’s not tricky enough to work. if he really ‘doesn’t know nuthin’ why does he keep telling everybody how things are?
@MommaFish89 - May I ask how come Romney? I don’t know you, so there’s no ulterior motive or anything.
I went through this with my mom for a while, it took her about 10 years of saying “I’m a registered Dem but I never vote Dem anymore,” I told her, as I’ll suggest to you, this means your not a Dem. anymore, why not re-register as what you are?
people change. There have always been a few people who go around saying “I’m a registered dem but…” what’s the point of that?
She finally did re-register as what she is and she later told me she wondered what on earth she was waiting for.
If you’re ‘proud to call yourself a Dem’ and you’re not a dem and you tell everybody you don’t vote dem, you’re not proud to call yourself a dem so why not fix it?
If you’ve not voted Dem since carter you’re not a dem, LOL! ESPECIALLY given that the R’s have moved farther and farther and farther to the right in the past decade, you’re definitely not a dem.
do yourself a favor!
@ZSA_MD - I am not saying whether I like or dislike President Obama, but you are absolutely correct, we can not blame merely one man for an entire nation’s woes.
@Somefishytales - You should read @DivaJyoti - comment. I know it is the Conservative way to simply beleive what ya wanna beleive and make that the truth facts be damn and there are enough of you blithering knuckleheads nodding in agreement….but
Obama started in 2009, Congress includes the House and the Senate, Obama has been president for 5 years?
Perhaps you are a troll but hard to tell with a conservative.
Romney. I don’t like him much, but Obama is one of the least principled and most clueless presidents in US history.
@autumn_cannibal76 - the part I COPIED from your blog. And responded to? That part.
Here’s the thing, I AGREE with you that the health care mandate was launched by Republicans, but now Romney is AGAINST IT! Read again, Romney is AGAINT Obamacares he doesn’t want it. He doesn’t want mandates. Why not? Because obama compramised with the R’s and said ‘OK we can have mandates if that’s what you really want.
As soon as Obama did that (because something is better then what we had before?) Romney turned on him, even though originally Romney had done it in his state and recommended it for the country. But now that Obama is for it, Romney is Anti it.
What kind of person is that for the good of the country? All of the R’s who oppose everything Obama wanted even if they would have loved it in the old days? They’re anti the American people, they just are.
As for the mandates, I’m a lib and I say mandates are OK why? Because if people don’t have to buy their own affordable policies, who pays for their mooching asses when they get sick and go to the ER for free? Tax payers! See why it was originally a Republican notion?
But I think it’s fair enough, it’s not perfect, but people shouldn’t be allowed to sit on their ass till they get sick and then expect the rest of the tax payers to pay for their exorbitant costs.
Romney called the Ryan budged MARVELOUS. That’s the thing that wants to get rid of Medicare and Social Security and lower taxes still MORE on the wealthy, only on the uber wealthy. Obama detests the Ryan plan because it’s evil and immoral. Obama not only wants to NOT lower taxes more on the uber wealthy who don’t need it, he also wants to roll back the ridiculous Bush tax cuts that have contributed to so much of our Economic problems of today.
foreign policy isn’t perfect but Obama is far the superior leader on that. All these other things trump anything you mentioned. I’m a veteran, I know about wars, and I also know that people are DYING right here today because of the R’s who want to starve the babies and children. “if your poor blame yourself” is the R motto and the Romney motto, yet babies and children who are poor and starving should not blame themeselves and to say otherwise is grossly immoral.
Having a couple of things in common does not mean that two people are the same, that’s logically OFF THE WALL these two men could not be different in terms of what they want to do for the middle class. Romney wants to give the uber wealthy even more tax breaks and you guys are sitting around bitching about the DEBT and still planning to vote for Romney? Right there is enough to say NO ROMNEY. That’s only ONE difference, I could write a book, but I don’t feel like it or else that’s what i’d be doing.
I have very basic fundamental priorities for the US
@DivaJyoti - In terms of platform I think Obama is a closet-Socialist, and Romney isn’t the greatest choice either but I think the things he wants to do with our country will help, even if slowly, and without tripling the deficit yet again.
@Pickwick12 -one of the least principled and most clueless
you who hate him can’t come up with anything but vague crap why? Because he’s actually doing a great job.
He’s just not a rabid anti abortion president. That’s why you hate him. I’ve seen your writing. Why not just tell the truth. Obama is hardly clueless or unprincipled, he just doesn’t agree with people like you who want the babies to die from starvation and poverty (but by god FORCE them to be born)
Here’s what’s funny. But not ha ha funny.
If he were to win, which, you know, he won’t, Romney isn’t going to do anything about abortion, he’s actually pro choice.
Romney said the Ryan budget is marvelous which means the first thing he’ll do is lower taxes on the wealthy even more then before, which will immediately drive the deficit UP!
and get rid of Social Security and Medicare for your future.
If that’s what you think is the right way, I guess you’ve got your man.
I asked about foreign policy but if you don’t want to answer on that part i understand. It’s really hard to find fault with Obama on foreign policy.
@Aloysius_son - Not saying if you like Obama or not? What’s not to like? His like-ability ratings are off the charts! And you seem like a guy who tends to like people, LOL.
I thought it was obvious that I meant no ulterior motive with you personally.
so far as I know or remember, we’ve not had much communication on xanga. not under your current name, if we have under previous names of yours I have no way of knowing.
lol that’s what I meant, sorry I confused you, I didn’t mean to!
I’m very pro-Obama and shamelessly so. I just wasn’t out to take a bunch of personal jabs at you and I didn’t! I was nice.
Sorry for the confusion!
Obama, because I actually like my rights, and believe everyone should have equal rights too. Male, female, transgender, gay, lesbian. Everyone
And I don’t think it would kill the top 1% to give back to their country. I mean honestly, at what age did you lose your compassion?AND for the record, the way Romney made his money was by buying big companies, splitting it up into smaller ones and selling it. He has laid thousands of people off so he can buy another cadillac. I thought this was about getting people jobs?
@DivaJyoti - I’ve seen some of your entries and stuff but other than that no we haven’t really talked. Sorry, I’m just used to people being aggressive and purposely inflammatory especially when it comes to politics. Hey, if you’re not proud of what you support then why would you be supporting it, right?
@tendollar4ways - Perhaps you are a troll but hard to tell with a conservative.
lol, LOL it is sometimes, hard to tell with a conservative. fishy isn’t a troll, he’s a just a severe conservative.
@MommaFish89 - yes, that’s all I meant by “no ulterior motive” I was genuinely curious! I thought it was nice of you to discuss your views! Most people are too mad to even talk about it, so I really respect that you were willing! Peace!
@Aloysius_son - HAHAHAHA, OK maybe romney will put a woman on his ticket for ya
i dont now who to vote for
Ron Paul.
You may think I wasted a vote,But I sorely disagree.
Ron Paul. If that isn’t possible I would vote for @MagisterTom
He clearly has no alterior motives ^_^
Obama
Obama. I actually care for the rights of other people and Obama is the best vote to protect women, LGBT, everyone who lives in this country.
isn’t this a republican primary ? I don’t think that O’Bama would be on the ballot.
Bro. Romney
@DivaJyoti - The ten dollar dude knows I’m not a troll LOL.I simply want whats best for the majority of folks, not pander to lazy people who want handouts.Yes,some are trully in need and can’t help it.That’s not the people I’m talking about and neither is conservatism.Conservatism simply calls for people to take responsibility and take care of themselves and help them get back on their own two feet.Keeping someone in constant dependence on gov handouts does nothing good for anyone.@tendollar4ways - Dude,2007 Dems had complete control til 2010 when people woke up to what was going on and at least gave rep back the house to have SOME way of fighting back.I wasn’t refering to just Obama.I don’t care for politicians period. They are all about politics and not real truth and getting things done.Ha,if they got things done there would be no need in their constant services(a word I use VERY lightly for a politician. We could go round and round here and most likely we’d never get a thing settled except that we disagree LOL
@Babyboomerjill - Jill,Romney won the Republican primary,it just hasn’t been made official yet.Unfortunately it’s Romney against Obama.
@Babyboomerjill - theologian actually gave us two pictures! check it out! the primary is over. you’re not happy with your guy?
@James2012 - Obama is the right guy to vote for. I’ll message you. You don’t live in a swing state though. But Obama is the guy who cares about the ordinary people like all of us.
WHY IS IT FINE WITH YOU TO ALWAYS IGNORE THE SHIT OUT OF THE STARVING BABIES AND CHILDREN THAT EXIST?
YOU’RE IMMORAL WHEN YOU DO THAT.
None.i
@DivaJyoti - Good Lord man.Why do you bring up starving babies and children?I said nothing about that. Why are babies and children starving may I ask?I’ll answer.Because of their lazy parents who would rather party and buy stuff for themselves than take care of their children.I’m not the one who is immoral here. You are blaming the wrong people when you get on your rants about starving children and the likes.I could tell you stories about people who take advantage of the food stamp program that would burn you up…at least it does me.And one of them is my own daughter and father of her kids mother. My daughter gets over $800 in foodstamps a month.Don’t get me wrong,I appreciate the help she gets, but they waste it on junk and not real nutricious food.My daughter works her butt off at a job while the father of her 4 kids is lazy, has his PARTNERS over and they devour whatever food she buys.He won’t go get a job,he just takes his chances selling drugs. He makes trips to California and somehow does drug deals and comes back with cash.He has been caught once, spends a few months in jail and gets out and goes right back when he needs some easy money.I’m SICK SICK SICK of it.They are MY precious grandkids and I can’t do a thing about it.You just don’t know what you are talking about when you accuse someone of being heartless towards children. And YES,I would have been raising my voice with this comment. Not normal for me,but when you make an accusation like this you REALLY do make my blood boil.Nuff said
Obama
Ron Paul.
Vermin Supreme 2012.
I want a pony.
I wish we could vote today. Then it would be FOUR AND A HALF MORE YEARS!
Ron Paul and only a conservative Libertarian like him in the future like Rand Paul, Tom Woods, Andrew Napolitano, etc.etc.
Romney. Not that I’m old enough to vote.
@Somefishytales - Why do you bring up starving babies and children?I said nothing about that
Stop and think a minute.
Why didn’t you say anything about the starving babies and children? The reason you didn’t is because it would ruin your entire argument, which is that all the people who need economic assistance are lazy greedy worthless no goods with their hands out.
WRONG.
BABIES AND CHILDREN need assistence, you cannot call babies and children LAZY that’s bogus.
You ARE being immoral because you are blaming innocents for their devistating predicaments.
You’re also generalizing your ass off based only on what you see, N=1 is not evidence for anything.
Or do you think maybe the fact that you said nothing about it is the whole reason I had to bring it up? of course it is, because it’s convenient for you to ignore that situation, if you face the reality of the suffering innocents it would blow up your personal paradigm all to hell and back.
YOU OVER-SIMPLIFY because it’s convenient for your political mindset.
let your blood boil, that’s a positive thing,
because you’re keeping yourself in denial and ignorance about reality.
@DivaJyoti - ”I don’t know you, so there’s no ulterior motive or anything.” lololol You are a funny Lady!
Hey, she and I worked out that misunderstanding, I made it clear to her that I wasn’t saying I was politically neutral I would never say anything so absurd, I was saying it wasn’t personal as in, I wasn’t laying in wait to try to zap her or anything like that, and that I was sincerely interested in what she had to say.
OK if you want to be an IGNORAMOUS who want’s to GROSSLY misunderstand what I said and then harass me about it and then NOT apologize?
Make sure that’s where you want to leave things.
@z_stands_for - You must not be an American. Our presidential elections are a big deal.
@Somefishytales - Actually not everyone who needs assistance is Lazy. Some people actually work hard, full time and still get payed crap because employers think it’s okay to treat people the way they do. Please don’t generalize like every one just wants to suck away your tax dollars it’s insulting and crude to think it’s all about you.
I apologize now if I come off like I’m attacking you but your comment hit a personal spot for me.
@DivaJyoti - lol I am a regular reader… On my other account mommymarty22…
I just found it funny because you had to do an exclaimer… Since to many people misunderstand you.
@MistyEyes22 - And chillax beautiful… I was typing with one hand trying to dry my son off with a towel. Sorry if you felt I was attacking you but wasn’t… So erm… Please do remember my sn. Now you know both of my accounts
@DivaJyoti - because there is what seems to me a tiny selfish motive that he can’t except… Or it just seems that way.
@MistyEyes22 - HAHAH, now I’ve got you memorized that can work out well for a person too.
Especially since you’re one of the SANE people who GETS stuff!
you’re right, I thought you were ignoring me hee hee. I could give you a list of people who did that and wish they never did. But you don’t need it, because that’s not what you were doing!
@MistyEyes22 - it’s as if he can only see what is literally in front of his eyes. I think it’s sad since he’s the biggest anti-choice person on xanga, if you want to be THAT, at least be willing to support policies that help care for all of them otherwise it really is morally cruel.
@DivaJyoti -And you must be effin stupid to just assume that about me.I didn’t ask you to categorize me. I don’t owe YOU the knowledge of what I may be but I will say that I couldn’t care any less of your opinion on any subject.
I take pride in being an American until it puts me in line standing beside someone like you to just reply on assumptions and dumb-ass remarks.
I still can’t see the difference…
I’m writing in Mickey Mouse!
@Somefishytales - obvious point: maybe you should have his drug-dealing ass arrested. it’s awfully selfish of you to want to take away benefits for millions of people, instead of dealing with your family’s problems directly. you can definitely do something about it. take them to court over custody, involve child protective services, etc. if it’s worth punishing other people for your family’s problems, it’s certainly worth your daughter’s wrath.
definitely Obama
@DivaJyoti - I’ll say this last thing and I’m done with this STUPID discussion. You thinking I or other conservatives want to starve children is as stupid as me thinking Obama wants America to fail. His CHILDREN and family live here too.He believes gov control is best even tho it has failed in every other country.I as a citizen disagree and will vote against gov control.People can take care of their own of the Gov will let them. The Gov takes so much away some can’t provide for other family members.
The fact that you think I or any other horrible “RIGHT WINGER” wants to starve children makes you pretty stnkin ignorant and I’d say YOU have the moral problem!!!!!!!
Please don’t comment anymore to me about politics and I’ll not comment to you. It’s a stalemate and nobody wins.Thats ssaid, hope you and Dog have a good night.
@flapper_femme_fatale - He has been in and out of jail 4 times and my daughter works her butt off and is a great and caring mother, she just has the one flaw of loving a jerk. The system is set so drug offenders get out pretty fast because of overcrowding. If he was a big time drug lord, that would be different. And it isn’t as easy as you make it sound. We are talking about my kids and grandkids here and other family involved. And there is also their safety. The people this guy knows…well lets just say I could be on a hit list at any time he wanted. You do the best you can and thats what we do…….
@MistyEyes22 - I may be thinking of another comment but I thought I added not ALL are lazy because I said my daughter works hard and can’t make ends meet.It was probably the comment that Diva decided to blast me on.I am not generalizing at all.Not all parents who are on welfare are lazy, but if you think some aren’t then you need to wake up.I see it just in friends my daughter has and other aquaintances.Sure, there are people that need help, but whats wrong with trying to get them back on their feet and not being dependent on the Gov anymore.I don’t get where thats heartless and immoral as Diva calls it.
@DivaJyoti - Just because I don’t identify myself as a Dem on the national level, does not mean I never vote Dem. About 75 to 80 percent of my local political races, I still vote Democratic. And probably more like 90 to 95 percent of my statewide races.
@jdortiz - OH OK I stand corrected. Sorry if I offended.
@Somefishytales - WOO did I ever hit a nerve with you forcing you to give half a seconds thought to all the starving babies and children that you don’t find it convenient to think about in all your forceful demanding anti abortion. No abortions for the women and then FUCK the babies let them die!
Let the babies and children die! because GRRRRampy can’t work it into his “mental paragidm”
listen asshole
I will comment to you all I want about politics, you don’t tell me what to do you fucking bossy bossy bossy! I don’t work for you, I don’t answer to you, this isn’t your blog and You don’t tell me what to do.
You are always the first one to butt in and address me FIRST about politics so fuck off with your little demands.
call me ‘stinkin ignorant’ just as soon make my entire day because from the likes of a self centered ‘my family is all there is in the world’ moron like you? that’s nothing but the highest form of flattery
and to think, there I was saying something nice about you, HA! what a brat!
@Somefishytales - You ought to put the @ in when you’re talking about me to @MistyEyes22 - or anybody else, just to show class, not that you’ve got any, obviously, anyone who gossips without putting in the notifiers has no class. Just sayin
@Somefishytales - Please don’t comment anymore to me about politics
No Can Do. hahahahah! don’t make rush limbaugh songs for me and have the audacity to tell ME what I have to do, are you NUTS in addition to being borderline IQ?
Politics! Politics! You’re blinkered about politics! seriously you think you’re gonna tell me what to do? tell me what I can’t do, that’s what I’ll do every day. because bossy sexist men NEVER tell me what to do and what not to do and get what they want, not ever. You have butted into my discussions way too many times for you to ever have that go your way for you.
double standard mmm mmm mmm
@flapper_femme_fatale - it’s awfully selfish of you to want to take away benefits for millions of people, instead of dealing with your family’s problems directly
SELFISH to say the least! if he can ‘get’ it….which I now doubt.
@z_stands_for - what are you on about? now I have to go figure out what you’re talking about, I’ve got not the slightest idea.
@z_stands_for - oh hahah, OK whatever. You must not get involved in much media if you think these comments are oh so intense. they’re nothing much compared to the tone of the country nowadays, but go ahead and take this personally too if you want, and call me effin stupid if that makes you feel better in some way. enjoy!
@DivaJyoti - You did not offend me. I was merely correcting an assumption based on how I voted for a single individual.
@DivaJyoti - It’s not being morally on target by demanding others pay for poverty programs. It’s doesn’t mean you have compassion at all, unless you have seen that person’s financial statement that states how much they have given to charity. It doesn’t make you compassionate, it makes you nothing more than a common bully.
Obama. He got a tremendous debt dropped on him by The Shrub and it has taken this long to make progress for two reasons:
1) The titanic measure of the debt Bush’s two bogus wars dropped us into, and
2) Republicans refusing to even work with him a little bit because they want a republican in office and every success Obama has puts another nail in that coffin.
People forget how shitty the economy was when Bush left office. Obama, didn’t create the recession, he inherited it. Bush inherited a three trillion dollar surplus courtesy of Bill Clinton and pissed it the fuck away with his ridiculous economic policies and BS wars.
Reality may bite but it is, however, still reality.
@ZSA_MD - Tell it, Lady!! People around here have very short, very selective memories.
@grizzlybearr - I’m the zombie candidate, and I approve that comment.
Romney begrudgingly. Voting for Obummer would mean turning America into more of a Marxist Dictatorship. Wake up People. Do you really want to be controlled by the UN?
I’d write in Ron Paul, if I went to the poll at all.
@grim_truth - It’s not being morally on target by demanding others pay for poverty programs
Oh but it absolutely is, especially if you call yourself any kind of christian, your problem in understanding my point seems to be that you don’t get it that children and infants have no money, power, control, they did not select their parents and they are incapable of being lazy and begging for handouts because that’s the very nature of being a young child and infant.
I make fishies blood boil because he likes to pretend they’re not worthy of mention or consideration in policy making but actually they’re the ones who are starving and getting screwed over in America.
I’ll be posting a lot of charts about how things were when your guys were in office. Your people took care of the childrens basic needs with only a few points in tax money that the uber wealthy wouldn’t even notice.
Now you keep on telling yourself that’s the wrong thing to do. You keep telling yorself Regan was wrong and HW Bush was wrong and all the others who had slightly more reasonable progressive tax codes. You tell yourself that. You’re the one who has to sleep at night and look at yourself in the mirror.
@grim_truth - It’s doesn’t mean you have compassion at all, unless you have seen that person’s financial statement that states how much they have given to charity. How much O’Reilly gives and what not, that’s fine if he wants to do that, but plenety of people don’t and won’t do that without being told to do that, that’s why you guys are so upset. You want it to be voluntary, but voluntary isn’t working, babies are starving in America.
Infants and babies don’t have financial statements, and the situations with their parents, if they have any, are not their, the babies, fault.
We just don’t agree on this, nothing you say will make me thinking you’re right, nothing. but spin your wheels till they fall off for all I care. Waste of breath.
I’d rather have Obama in office then a sexist bully like Romney. So I will be voting for Obama. And for those that think others are voting against Obama because they’re racist. All I have to say is Grow Up. Yes racism does exist but just because someone votes against a President who just happens to be black does NOT mean that they are all racist. I voted against Obama last election….not because he is black, not because I am a racist but because he didn’t have the qualifications or the experience to be the President of the United States. All those people that voted for him to prove to the world that they were not racist is the reason we are in this predicament.
@DivaJyoti - When you have no idea what my charity contributions are, you are not morally on target. You are demanding that I then, provide a higher percentage of my income than you, even though you may actually make more than me.
What you don’t get is that there are plenty of people out there who VOLUNTARILY help others. You just want to force folks to help only those you deem necessary of help. That makes you a bully, nothing more.
It doesn’t make you a champion of the poor. It doesn’t make you a saint. It doesn’t even make you a decent person.
It makes you a facist, a bully, and a totalitarian.
You have no compassion. Unless it’s you VOLUNTARILY helping, it’s not compassion. It’s self-righteous, lazy, bullying, and it’s as simple as that.
My guys in office? Take a clue. I’m not a republican.
Unlike you, I’m not a PARTISAN HACK. I actually look at the truth, job history, voting history, before I back a candidate. Basically, by talking like that, you pretty much proved you don’t give a flying fuck about the poor. You only care about the democrat machine. You’re no different than those you hate like Rush Limbaugh. Congratulations. You ARE Rush.
Bottom line. You DON’T want to help the poor. You want others to, and you want dems in office, and you could care less about the outcome. When you do as much charity work as I do, then we’ll talk. When you vote as non-partisan as I do, then we’ll talk. Until then, stop bullying folks and acting self-righteous, when you are among the worst offenders.
@DivaJyoti - Characterizing people who don’t vote Democrat as “criminals against humanity” shows a breathtaking abyss of intolerance, a lack of civility and a willful ignorance of American government that puts our Republic in danger if too many people were to think like you and @ninetailedevee.
@grim_truth - Do you think charity is the answer? Wouldn’t be better if resources were spread in equity to everyone with no regard to their role in a community. I mean, wouldn’t be better if anyone could give to their families what’s necesary no matter their job? Cuz we all need people to labour the land as well as we need doctors, why should be more cherished the job of a doctor than the one a peasant makes? aren’t both jobs essecial to our communities? Why an actor or a soccer player earns millions when they jobs seem less necesary to society than the job a teacher does?
Not trying to discuss, just saw a comment in regards of charity and I thought I’d like to know what you think about this…if resources were fairly distributed according the necesities of all, wouldn’t that be better than giving some to some people?
@grim_truth - What’s that I hear? A crowd cheering? Yup I do believe it is. They seem quite excited with all the applause and whistles! Well said.
Romney…but I’m thinking I should just move to Italy, back to my family’s homeland.
@grim_truth - I think you’re right this would never work in a society without a sense of community, it does work in Mayan communities here in Guatemala and Chiapas, it doesn’t erradicate poverty as we all are poor here but it does makes life better, happier and valuable. Sadly big cities even in the south hemisphere have been tainted with western greed and selfishness and that makes cities awfuly mean and violent (not like you have up there of course, no school shootings or serial killers, not at all) but small traditional communities living according their traditional values do work like that…I’m sure it’d be impossible as you say in the cold western society, but it’s possible. We don’t call it socialism though cuz we don’t care much for labels lol we call it community
@DivaJyoti - sadly true. i just find it strange when someone wants to change law simply because they don’t like it. even when i’m arguing against/in favor of something that affects me personally, i have more than my own personal opinion to back it up.
@xXxlovelylollipop - Well, in theory, that does sound like a fine plan. Problem is, you are not taking the human factor into consideration. It has been tried and tried in the past, and has never worked. The reason is, if we give to everyone, based on what they need, folks will realize they can get what they need without having to put forth any work. Productivity goes down. Resentment builds. Those who study for over 10 years to become cardiac surgeons should only get the same as the guy who is fine with doing nothing, or even only mowing a few lawns a week? That’s why that system could never work.
There has never been a government program that has been ran on budget and not subject to massive fraud. Just doesn’t happen. Look at how bad Social Security is screwed up. Or Medicare and Medicaid. Talk to a veteran who has to seek treatment at the VA clinic. None of the system work efficiently and effectively.
Our government has been pumping TRILLIONS into the war on poverty, and poverty rates have not gone down. The more we spend, the higher the poverty rates. When looking at various charts, one would think poverty rates go up before spending. But that’s not the case. Poverty spending goes up, then the rates follow. Why? I’m not sure.
Can Charity work? Yes, I believe it can. Charity gives folks what people NEED. Gov’t gives folks what people think they want.
Folks keep talking about the failure of Capitalism and tout a move to Socialism. Problem is, Socialism has never worked. Capitalism has. Don’t blame recent financial failures on Capitalism, though, because we haven’t had true Capitalism in this nation in over 100 years.
A good book to read on the subject is “The Forgotten Man” by Amity Shales.
@xXxlovelylollipop - We have community here in the States as well. In my hometown, in Ohio, the town has pulled together multiple times, through charity, not gov’t regulation, to help people pay medical bills and recieve needed treatments, keep their houses, farms, etc. A buddy of mine got sick, medical bills piled up. So we threw a couple of keg parties and raised enough to pay his bills for him. We would hold raffles and fund raisers to help people pay for cancer treatments. My father has helped several farmers harvest, so they could keep their farms, all without asking for a dime in return.
What you explained as community is what I call Charity.
The liberal method of taking a bucket of water from the deep end of the swimming pool, and running around and pouring it back in the shallow end, and then crowing about raising the water level is humorous at best. To get the economy rolling again, people need jobs. (Poor people aren’t hiring, hello?) These failed policies have been ruining the economy in CA for years now, and corporations (those horrible greedy bad guys who give people jobs) are fleeing the state in droves. Why they now want to force these same policies on the entire nation is beyond me. It WAS NOT government intervention that made America the strongest nation in the world when it was at it’s peak.
@Somefishytales - I’ve been reading your comments, and I just wanted to say, I agree with you.
@xXxlovelylollipop - That sort of arrangement has already been tried all over the world in almost every culture, and it has failed miserably.
The reason is, for your system to work, there most exist a ruling elite who gets to determine the allocation of resources. And allocating the resources of those who earned them in order to give them to those who do not earn them is stealing.
So though your idea sounds good, it results in social and economic catastrophe because it institutionalizes a tyrannical, ruling elite that is sanctioned by law to steal as much as possible from those who produce wealth.
So in essence you have created hell on earth instead of a just, prosperous society where everyone can become millionaires and billionaires if they wish, by putting their labor, ideas and capital to work in the free market.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - lol sorry different cultures, I can’t understand the greed so the need to acumulate money and resources is completely alien to someone like me, Thanks God.
@xXxlovelylollipop - What I have described is common to all human beings and works in all cultures. What you have described is European Marxism and it has failed in all cultures.
Human nature is independent of culture.
America was founded on a superb understanding of human nature, what constitutes the common good, and justice. That’s why people from all over the world immigrated here and made it the greatest, most just, most prosperous nation in human history.
@grim_truth - In a community there’ no sense of gratitude because it’s our resposibility to do it not something we chose to do so the receiver is only getting his/her share of what in our society is considered fair. No pity involved so no feelings of eternal gratitude, no one can claim they’ve helped you, people does it because in a community the welth of all members is important and functional. Social fairness it’s not charity cuz it’s not tied to “good will” but to a sense of wholeness, it’s law (not institunalized cuz goverment doesn’t mix with community issues). The widower unable to work her land will get her share in the product of common lands and common work as her value and work as a mother is equaly valuable as the task developed by the guardian of the barns or the guy who works at the stables, and no, she doesn’t need to be grateful cuz it’s not charity is her share as a member of a society and the role she displays within it.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - Once again I have to correct you, human history means a lot US was prosperus for half a century and now it’s not anymore, that happens saddly. The greatest was the Roman Empire based on territory, cultural influence and duration…I really don’t like to repeat myself so this is the last History class I promise lol
We’re facing now a new Empire rising, they’ve a greatest History and by far a greater cultural background, lets hope they don’t try to imposse upon others their beliefs and ways or we all will be pretty screwed…
@xXxlovelylollipop - America has the greatest GDP of any nation on Earth, still. Our economy is much greater than even China’s.
Also, you noted an American decline. That decline is caused by the very Marxist ideas you are espousing. And during the Obama Administration and the rule of the Democrats that began in 2006, America’s decline increased in a breathtaking manner.
That’s why I am speaking up. America is the last, best hope for mankind and Democrat Party policies are intentionally designed and instituted to destroy America as it was founded to be: free, just and prosperous.
@TheWitchMother - You accuse Romney of being a sexist but criticize people for demonizing non-Obama voters as being racist.
How does that work?
What has Romney done to offend you?
And are you aware of Obama’s systematic discrimination against women in his own White House. He pays women much less than his male cronies.
And I have read quotes from his former female employees decrying Obama’s hostility and disrespect of women under his employ.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - The decline has been happening well before Obama set in office. That’s one. And two, he’s not enacting “Marxist” laws. There are no signs of a dictatorship, nor a demand to create a single-class system designed around co-ownership. The closest thing I can think of is the Universal Healthcare plan, which is unfathomably necessary in our piss-poor market. What bothers me is how adverse Americans are to any idea that deviates from our false sense of “Democracy” or what we consider “Un-American”, no matter how viable it would be as a solution.
If America was a true melting pot we’d learn to take good ideas from other countries and implement them into our own. Perhaps we would find some balance in our otherwise half-assed government and social programs. America’s like a pissy teenager that thinks it knows everything and yells at everyone all the time.
Also, we’re nowhere NEAR that important (last best hope for mankind). Considering our health and educational systems are behind most other 1st World countries, our social systems are broken and we’re struggling to bring men and women together as equals in the workforce as well as in social settings. The same can still be said for blacks, hispanics, and not forgetting homosexuals, transgender, etc.
If we’re the last hope for mankind, then mankind is fucked.
@Pastor_Rock - Whenever I read statements like this I am inclined to laugh and vomit at the same time.
@xXxlovelylollipop - That’s what we did though. It wasn’t done out of kindness, but it certainly wasn’t done out of enforcement, either. We do what we do out of a sense of duty or responsibility. When my father would help the other farmers, he knew, that if their farm folded, he may not be able to buy the feed he needed for our pigs. Or the seed he may need for next year. We helped my buddy because, well, he was our friend, and he was one of the best welders around. If he passed away or had to go out of business to pay his bills, then we wouldn’t be able to get things welded and repaired. While there was a sense of gratitude (everyone should be thankful for what they have, no matter how much or how little, in my opinion), there was never a sense of having to pay back. Because we all knew, at some point, we would pay back. Those who recieved help would surely be called upon to help someone else. My welder friend, after having been helped, knew he had to help others and do some work for free, because it’s a cycle that needed to be continued for the Capitalism to thrive in our community. If he couldn’t weld, then the company he bought his steel from would have lost business and folks would have lost jobs. Folks from out of town may not have come to town to have him do some work, resulting in more business lost, gas, having lunch at the cafe while waiting for Rick to weld whatever he was welding, etc.
That is Capitalism at it’s purest. Those who CAN helped did. There were times some folks couldn’t, because of timing of events. Folks who push for socialism like Diva, do not care about timing. If the world ran her way, it would be all the time. Under her idea, Rick would have to help everyone all the time, and she wouldn’t care that he was sick, because he was a successful businessman. If he were forced to help someone during his illness, his business would have had to close, the steel supplier would have had to lay folks off, the diner and gas station would have lost business because no more folks would have come in from out of town to have Rick do some welding.
That’s why Capitalism, in a pure form, would work. Socialism would not. Forced aid would not work.
@RazielV - America’s decline was put into place by Progressives FDR (1932) and Lyndon B. Johnson (1965).
All the federal programs that are destroying our economy and civil society were created during the New Deal and the Great Society programs of FDR and LBJ respectively.
You are correct. America’s decline has been going on for over a hundred years (including Woodrow Wilson’s teachings from 1890 onward).
The New Deal and Great Society programs violate the separation of powers and Natural Law that were originally instituted by America’s Founders.
Separation of powers is the only way to avoid the development of a tyrannical government. And the violation of Natural Law deprives man of his natural state of liberty and his ability to own and defend his property.
Without liberty and private property, prosperity is impossible for all but a privileged elite.
And since Democrat Party policy specifically designs means and methods to destroy the separation of power (thus creating tyranny) and violate Natural Law through income redistribution (thus creating a wealthy elite and an otherwise impoverished society), the Democrats must be driven from power at all levels of government.
@mtngirlsouth - Thanks.I’ve had all I can take of this here.I’ve said my piece, they can badmouth me all the want,I really don’t care because I know I’m right.
“Those who study for over 10 years to become cardiac surgeons should only get the same as the guy who is fine with doing nothing, or even only mowing a few lawns a week?” i don’t think that receiving the basics (education, health care, food or housing for example) regardless of your level of income would stop someone from still wanting more. that’s the nature of human greed, which is what fundamentally drives capitalism. most people i know also choose their jobs based on what they enjoy, rather than the size of the paycheck. i plan to become a teacher, whether that pays $10k or $100k a year, because i want to have that kind of impact. it sounds like you want to punish people for not succeeding, when the reality is that not everyone is going to end up a millionaire or even WANTS to be one. in regards to charity: not everyone has that kind of network of family or close friends where they live. and i don’t think someone should be unable to receive help because they’re not liked by their community.
@mtngirlsouth - “ (Poor people aren’t hiring, hello?) ” what makes you assume every rich person is in charge of hiring? or that they’re going to hire more people simply because they have extra cash? businesses hire when they cannot meet demands for their products or services with their current workforce. i work for a small business, and the recession taught our owner how to make just as much money with fewer employees. so it really doesn’t matter how much cash he has on hand… he’ll only hire more workers as a last resort.
@Somefishytales - then maybe, instead of trying to generalize all people on welfare, you should realize that their stories are likely just as complicated as your own. because, frankly, i find it pathetic that you can’t stand up to your own family and do what’s in the best interest of the children (involve the police, child protective services, even witness protection if you have to)… but you want to make total strangers suffer.
@Somefishytales - You’re the one with the nasty mouthin. You should calm down or shut up because you’re a real asshole when your blood is boilin and nobody did anything to you.
You send my wife rush limbaugh song and that’s supposed to be funny, you zoom in on my family all the time people have a sayin for this it’s called “You can dish it out but you sures hell can’t take it,” well I say try to be smart enough to stop dishen out, you can’t take it. You really can’t debate, you’re a crazy soundin man when you’re riled up, you should stick to fishin
you called my wife more rude names on this blog right here then she’s been called all together on Xanga anywheres so you’re really got a wrong idea in your head about who you are.
I learned a long time ago, NEVER ORDER A WOMAN WHAT TO DO AND NOT DO, she might make you wish you were never born every now and then and it’s not worth it.
@mtngirlsouth - The liberal method of taking a bucket of water from the deep end of the swimming pool, and running around and pouring it back in the shallow end, and then crowing about raising the water level is humorous at best.
Just as long as my water bowl is full, thats all I care about. I’m a dog and nobody expects me to give a shit about anybody else which works out great for a dog like me.
You look beautiful today, and it makes me think about how much I love swimming. did you know how much dogs love swimming?
@DivaJyoti - My comment was sarcastic.Mainly because the conversation here is WEAK. And calling you stupid?.. aww, don’t worry..its nothing personal. Especially since you were on a roll of just randomly attacking my way of commenting. This is not your site so I pretty much wasn’t directing the attention towards you. Now carry on as you were. I don’t have any interest in you nor in conversing any more with you, I was kindly replying to your last comment to me as in the American way since you put it in my face. ug. Instead of the assumption of me NOT being American.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - Honestly I don’t follow politics that much because it (to be completely honest) Confuses the hell out of me and just gives me a headache. The reason I don’t like Romney is because he is one of the main pushers of the anti abortion bill. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t agree with abortion. The only time I agree with it is if a woman or girl has been raped and became impregnated or if the mother will die if the embryo is not aborted, but this bill he and a bunch others were pushing was so vague it just seemed to me they didn’t want women to have a choice over our reproductive systems at all.
I wasn’t trying to demonize non Obama voters. I was only stating that I’m tire of people saying that if you don’t vote for Obama you are a racist. Now I am white, I live in the South and because of my race and the region I live in people automatically assume I am racist. I don’t like being judged before someone gets to know me. I’m sure there are others out there that don’t like to be judged anymore than I do. It was just a round about way of saying “please don’t judge, its childish.” That’s all. I respect everyone’s views here and I am extremely happy that we live in a country that we can have these conversations and not be tried for treason. Much Love and Light to you all.
@TheWitchMother - After all that you have no reason whatsoever for calling Romney an anti-woman sexist. Unless of course anyone who opposes abortion is an anti-woman sexist.
And that just isn’t right.
@NewDog2 - Sorry dude,go back and read who had the foul mouth. It was your sweet wifey. And all I did was give my opinon in the post and she replies to me with a not so nice comment that for some reason isn’t on here but it came in my email updates.I was not rude in that comment at all just saying what I thought.SHE is the one calling me uncaring about starving babies and the like and calling me immoral.Even when I was throughly ticked at her ugliness toward me I didn’t curse at her,but just look at what she called me.I’M the nasty mouthin? And as far as heat, the only thing I felt was ignorance, stupidity or just a willingness to not see things as they are, there was no heat here whatsoever.I look at the things your BUD Obama has done and even worse tried to do and didn’t get done that woulda REALLY kicked America in the butt, and I see an economy that has gotten worse and worse. The man must think money grows on trees the way he spends it.Your wife is the one who has been out of line here with everyone she disagrees with.
And as far as @DivaJyoti saying what she did about it not being the same talking about caring for my own kids and grandkids, think about it man,if veryone cared about the kids the way and m wife care about ours and I’m sure you care about yours, there would be VERY few starving children and I imagine crime wouldn’t be as bad either if parents raised their kids to respect other people and their property.
You just go ahead and think you guys are the moral folks here. You and she have NO clue how I use my time and things I might do to help others and I have no clue what you might be doing…I’m not even gonna guess,it’s not my place.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - what can I say I just don’t like Romney. I don’t like Obama either but I haven’t found a politician I did like.
Ron Paul 2012….
Obama. but i’m not American. so i don’t count.
@ITS_BACONNN - Right……because he believes in ghosts and he made a fortune off of selling out working mothers to increase shareholder value for corporate executives.

Obamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Obama 2012 for what this person said
@ninetailedevee -
and also for hundreds of other reasons, but you didn’t ask, so I won’t elaborate
Obama.
I am definitely voting for obama. I am an economics major and I read the news daily. People, before you say that his policies are hurting the economy just cause you watched 5min of fox news please educate yourself because you will realize you are sorely mistaken.
also, any women on here thinking about voting for romney, please watch this video about his social policy and stance on womens rights. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nypMSXKgtaA
now since I live in the UK, I cannot vote for who I want to in United States.
Obama all day long
You.
@DivaJyoti - OMFG I love you.
and re my comment above….that is just Romney today. who knows what he’ll do tomorrow?
fucking OBAMA all the way.
In case anyone is curious about the reality of the recession, please watch this video.
obama 2012 if you have an IQ>1.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WbQe-wVK9E&feature=endscreen&NR=1
Hahaha! Like it’d make a difference.
you might not like it that President Obama gave the go ahead for an elite Navy Seals team to take out the mastermind behind 9/11 and Donald Rumsfeld ordered an elite military team to back down and allow Bin Laden to escape into Pakistan.
you might not like it that President Obama saved the American auto industry and GM is now on top of the world in the auto industry while Mitt Romney wrote an editorial for the New York Times entitled, “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt”.
you might not like it that our economy has shown 25 straight months of growth while the British agenda of attrition (what republicans propose)has sent England into a second recession.
you might not like to know that while the recession we were sunk into makes the recession Ronald Reagan inherited look like child’s play yet the economy was still not great when Reagan was reelected in spite of the fact his administration quietly added the military to employed statistics for the first time since unemployment statistics were gathered in order to make it look as though the economy was doing better than it actually was.
you might not like that the first piece of legislation President Obama signed makes it illegal for women to be paid less for doing the same jobs as men.
you might not like that President Obama has done all of this and more while faced with the most treacherous opposition in recent history, “the party of no”, the party republican minority leader Mitch McConnell proclaimed as it’s priority the downfall of a President whose said goal is to get us back up on our feet…..this in the worst economic time in our history since The Great Depression.
lastly here is one for pet lovers. i love dogs. i have more friends than many of you will have in your lives. i hope you find as many friends or more. friends are our most precious commodities. i have never known anyone who would think for a minute of tying their dog, cat, hamster….i even had a girlfriend who had a rat for a pet….to the roof of their car for a short trip much less a long trip. there are many studies that conclude a lack of concern for pets goes hand in hand with a lack of empathy and concern for people. add Mitt’s dog story to his “business experience” as a vulture capitalist and do the math. do we want that as President?
you might actually like that Mitt Romney said he or anyone could have made the dangerous decision to send a Navy Seals Team to take out Bin Laden even though he said he wouldn’t and in spite of the fact John Brennan who served under 3 democrat and republican administrations in the capacities of CIA and National Security characterized the President’s decision as possibly the gutsiest decision by a president in recent history. in saying so Romney sounds like a teen who after watching an Olympic gold medalist turns to a girl he wants to impress and saying, “I could have done that.”
if you don’t like those things (and there are many more Mitt flip-flops and outright lies to the American people to mention) then by all means vote for Mitt.
But I cant vote yet
I am only a resident in the US right now, and not a citizen, boo..
Now there’s a choice if ever there was one!
It’s either fast FORWARD! over the abyss with Obama…
…or slow FORWARD over the abyss with Romney.
Some people are asking themselves why not just get it over with.
@Lordv16 - Can you link the video? I’m curious.
Can’t believe I commented. Politically at that!
@GodlessLiberal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNv7lY-ZhKA
Romney.
Obama
I think he has proved himself by avoiding the made crisis from the Bush Admin. Now maybe he can get some real work done after the clean up he had to do.
@ZSA_MD - yes!
I haven’t been happy with my choices for a while. It’s not who I’m voting for…it’s who I’m voting against.
Ugh… can I just not vote?
JK
@MagisterTom - you got mine and hubbys vote:):)
@fabolousclown - me too:)
Obama
@ZSA_MD - Good Job and you did it quite well.
@GodlessLiberal - I feel the same way.
@ZSA_MD - Great comment, Z — you said more than I did
!
:::shrug:::
Say, on the following topic:
National Security
Why Romney?
If you choose to answer, hey thanks!
@jdortiz -
I went through this with my mom for a while, it took her about 10 years of saying “I’m a registered Dem but I never vote Dem anymore,” I told her, as I’ll suggest to you, this means your not a Dem. anymore, why not re-register as what you are?
people change.
@Pickwick12 - one of the least principled and most clueless
you who hate him can’t come up with anything but vague crap why? Because he’s actually doing a great job.
He’s just not a rabid anti abortion president. That’s why you hate him. I’ve seen your writing. Why not just tell the truth. Obama is hardly clueless or unprincipled, he just doesn’t agree with people like you who want the babies to die from starvation and poverty (but by god FORCE them to be born)
Here’s what’s funny. But not ha ha funny.
If he were to win, which, you know, he won’t, Romney isn’t going to do anything about abortion, he’s actually pro choice.
@MommaFish89 - Closet socialist.
@DivaJyoti - No ulterior motive huh?
@MommaFish89 -
Not THAT WAY LOL sorry for the confusion.
Peace!
@DivaJyoti - I like women.
@Babyboomerjill - Jill,Romney won the Republican primary,it just hasn’t been made official yet.Unfortunately it’s Romney against Obama.
@Somefishytales - lazy people who want handouts
Why must we vote by party?
@Somefishytales - ps on this one?
You just don’t know what you are talking about when you accuse someone of being heartless towards children.
I didn’t mean your own children and grandchildren. Most people care passionately about their OWN children and grandchildren.
That doesn’t mean you’re morally on target.
YOU’RE NOT.
ron paul c;
@MistyEyes22 -
Hey, she and I worked out that misunderstanding, I made it clear to her that I wasn’t saying I was politically neutral I would never say anything so absurd, I was saying it wasn’t personal as in, I wasn’t laying in wait to try to zap her or anything like that, and that I was sincerely interested in what she had to say.
So what cha laughin at hmmmmmmm?
Are we friends, I don’t remember.
@MistyEyes22 - OK nope, we’re not friends.
what’s up, why are you addressing me that way?
@MistyEyes22 - lololol You are a funny Lady!
that’s true, I’m quite funny when I intend to be, you must be one of my regular readers.
there was nothing funny about that sincere comment to her though.
You need to elaborate.
wow. The comments on this one. wow.
@MistyEyes22 -
OK if you want to be an IGNORAMOUS who want’s to GROSSLY misunderstand what I said and then harass me about it and then NOT apologize?
Make sure that’s where you want to leave things.
@z_stands_for - You must not be an American. Our presidential elections are a big deal.
@Somefishytales - Actually not everyone who needs assistance is Lazy. Some people actually work hard, full time and still get payed crap because employers think it’s okay to treat people the way they do. Please don’t generalize like every one just wants to suck away your tax dollars it’s insulting and crude to think it’s all about you.
I apologize now if I come off like I’m attacking you but your comment hit a personal spot for me.
@DivaJyoti - lol I am a regular reader… On my other account mommymarty22…
I just found it funny because you had to do an exclaimer… Since to many people misunderstand you.
@MistyEyes22 - GOOD LORD WE’RE ON THE SAME SIDE!
@MistyEyes22 - And chillax beautiful… I was typing with one hand trying to dry my son off with a towel. Sorry if you felt I was attacking you but wasn’t… So erm… Please do remember my sn. Now you know both of my accounts
@MistyEyes22 - ah that’s a relief.
I thought you were a random “zap her and ignore her.” that is my pet peeve.
those people are always sorry eventually, BA HAHAHA.
yeah how come fishy can’t understand me?
@DivaJyoti - lol yes we are on the same side
@grim_truth -
“Those who study for over 10 years to become cardiac surgeons should only get the same as the guy who is fine with doing nothing, or even only mowing a few lawns a week?”
i don’t think that receiving the basics (education, health care, food or housing for example) regardless of your level of income would stop someone from still wanting more. that’s the nature of human greed, which is what fundamentally drives capitalism.
most people i know also choose their jobs based on what they enjoy, rather than the size of the paycheck. i plan to become a teacher, whether that pays $10k or $100k a year, because i want to have that kind of impact. it sounds like you want to punish people for not succeeding, when the reality is that not everyone is going to end up a millionaire or even WANTS to be one.
in regards to charity: not everyone has that kind of network of family or close friends where they live. and i don’t think someone should be unable to receive help because they’re not liked by their community.
@mtngirlsouth -
“ (Poor people aren’t hiring, hello?) ”
what makes you assume every rich person is in charge of hiring? or that they’re going to hire more people simply because they have extra cash? businesses hire when they cannot meet demands for their products or services with their current workforce. i work for a small business, and the recession taught our owner how to make just as much money with fewer employees. so it really doesn’t matter how much cash he has on hand… he’ll only hire more workers as a last resort.
@Somefishytales - Same here.
It was just a round about way of saying “please don’t judge, its childish.”
That’s all.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - what can I say I just don’t like Romney. I don’t like Obama either but I haven’t found a politician I did like.
Ron Paul 2012….
Obama. but i’m not American. so i don’t count.
@ITS_BACONNN - Right……because he believes in ghosts and he made a fortune off of selling out working mothers to increase shareholder value for corporate executives.
