Has Obama Lost His Cool?
A great deal has been made about how President Obama launched his re-election campaign the other day and there were so many empty seats.
In 2008 and again in 2010, President Obama drew crowds of 35,000. But this time he could only draw about 15,000. Here is the link: Link
Has President Obama lost his cool?

MTV taught me black people are coo by default.
Ron Paul.
He’s not The New Guy anymore.
He lost his cool a long time ago.
yes, yes he has.
It might be due to the fact that it’s finals week? Maybe?
Obama promised change and gave the people Bush’s third term. That’s why.
He launched his campaign about 15 minutes away from me on the Ohio State Campus. Most of the people there were kids still in college. Maybe if it had been open to the general public he would have had a packed house. Franklin county is a major blue county here in Ohio.
The illusion that he would magically fix everything died or you were there telling people the event was canceled all so you could write a blog about him losing his coolness.
@PervyPenguin - So young.
@forever_musing - Not at Ohio State, they are on quarters.
He was always scary to me, not cool. He was always very clear about wanting to train wreck the United States. Why would people vote for a train wreck?
nah everyone’s just hungover from cinco de mayo haha
People are sick of politics, politicians and campaigning. Or maybe that’s just me.
@raspberryjade - It’s refreshing to hear someone blame the Mexicans and their bad tequila instead of George Bush.
@Shadowrunner81 - It’s refreshing to hear someone blame the kids instead of George Bush. It’s about time the blame got spread around.
@saintvi - Nope,it ain’t just you dahlin! Hahaha
Probably. I’m not voting for him, but I still think he’s going to win.
No way. He’s still super cool.
People are fickle. So is their dedication.
No, he’s just not new anymore. People know what he stands for, they don’t need to attend his rallies this time around.
well, at least I know that I’ve lost my faith in US foreign politics ever becoming peaceful thanks to Obama. Mr War Obama
i’ve never been a fan of obama… even in ’08. bring Hillary back! :p [jk, obviously]
i wrote in her name in my ballot in ’08 and will probably do that again…
but, in regards to what you wrote, i don’t think we should be comparing obama 2012 with obama 2010 and obama 2008. he isn’t competing against himself, now, is he?
according to some other articles, “Obama’s Empty Arena Had 5 Times More People In It than Romney’s Ever Drawn”: http://www.politicususa.com/obama-empty-arena-ohio.html
Ha, he had a students only rally on a school campus during finals week.
Yeah the kids would don’t care about finals aren’t the kind to attend a presidential speech.
(Actually that’s not true IME republicans are all junkies and stoners.)
@kirakirasky - Yup.
With unemployment at 15%, I’d say so. He has proven he is not a good leader. All talk, no action. Well, a little action. He did bale out the banks and helped the 1%s.
Obama is too immature to be working in a professional environment, let alone be president. Even Obama’s most avid supporters cannot give you a strong, legit reason as to why Obama is the most qualified person to sit in the Oval Office. It’s times like this when I wish Ronald Reagan was still alive so he could give Obama one solid kick to the groin…assuming there’s anything in that area to kick.
For perhaps the first time in his political life Obama has to run while defending his record. And while his campaign has tried desperately to do anything but that by demonizing his opponent or repeating the promises he made 4 years ago and hope no one he made no serious effort to fulfill them, people are noticing that this emperor has no clothes.
I lost my cool. Hope I will get it back soon.
Nice headline.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - Black people are scary.
@FattiesGonnaFat - I heard Obama describe his grandmother as a “typical white person.” He originally made the comment in 2008. If any Republican were to describe any person of African descent as a “typical black person” they would be driven from public life in well-deserved shame.
Yet Obama and any Democrat can get away with being blatantly racist.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - Sorry to break it to you, but there’s no such thing as reverse racism. White people have never been marginalized.
President Obama lost his cool when he trampled all over the Constitution. And the czars? I mean the unapproved by Congress czars? Quite frankly, I think it would be a beautiful thing to see Ron Paul (appointed, by Congress, of course) as his “I’m gonna-slap-some-f’-g- sense-into-you czar.
i think “lost his cool” is the wrong word. He’s lost his aurora of change.
The minute the public elected republicans into the house, no change could ever be done. Funny thing is that much of the public probably doesn’t even know the two are closely intertwined.
@FattiesGonnaFat - How about reverse stupidity? Does that only affect white people too?
He never had his cool in the first place!
He ain’t new blood anymore
i think the only way back to white house is let everybody know his wife lost virginity to all afghans…………..
………..
whoever votes for him must admit and shout this out loud too ………….
@PrisonerxOfxLove - BAAAWWWW Somebody can’t claim racism! White people have it sooo hard!! BAAAWWWW
You’re not making any sense, brah.
*-this is my prepared, researched, refined, and greatly unbiased hypothesis as to why there were so few people to attend Obama’s re-election campaign opening.-*
Compared to the competition…Depends. I’m slightly concerned he’ll govern more to the left in a second term, because then it’s balls out. Oddly (for some) I want a repeat first term Obama, overall. I don’t see that happening, but I have a distaste for some of the Romney strategy points (as well as many of Obama’s).
YOU actually ask a good question
WORD ON THE STREET is that Obama ain’t done nothing for no one, especially the youth of today…yet HE thinks he can hoodwink them again
The ironic thing is, Romney looks like a young Grandpa Munster whilst Grandpa Ron Paul is the coolest dude running…WE ain’t in Kansas no more
We need someone to restore the US economy and reduce debt. That person is definitely not Obama.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - well that is typical of a republibot – listen to rushbo the fat drug addicted nicotine addict alcoholic college drop out and then parrot his words on a blog. The fact is the country was on the verge of an economic collapse and Obama and team pulled us back – SLOWLY and THOUGHFULLY – and PRAGMATICALLY. I know those are big words for a republipuke – but I am still wondering where are the weapons of mass distruction and why did that hillbilly baby Bush push so hard against even his own Generals advice for an invasion wothout first contemplating the MASSIVE unintended consequences of his actions.
The fact is this place was a TRAIN WRECK when Obama took over and HE turned it around. And he even killed Bin Laden with the help of Afgan and Pakistani operatives who would NEVER had heleped us in the Bush Administration because the entire world was against us.
@Red_Apocalypse_Horse - reducing “debt” is not the problem…..all of the “debt” we owe is in US Currency and it is in US banks. This is only another Boogey man that Shawn and Rush want Republibots to you to believe. The US is NOT a business – it is a country – the Treasury of teh US in NOT as personal savings account. And I doubt that there is a republipuke alive who understands that.
@Kellsbella - Czar = Advisors ——-it is the better quaility of a meritocracy. Having advisors who are experts in their field of administrative advice and policy making is a GOOD thing in spite of what you hero Rush the fat drug addicted college drop out alcoholic draft dodging mouth of the republibot party might tell you. A maritocracy is WHY the Chinese are kicking our butts in everything measurable……they have a meritocracy for a government!
@Captric - The train wreck began when the Democrats took Congress in 2006. All Bush budgets were dead on arrival and the GOP was excluded from taking part in the legislative process.
That means the Democrats are responsible for the economic meltdown. They even wrote the legislation that put the meltdown into place. Chris Dodd and Barney Frank wrote the legislation.
Blaming Bush, Rush or whoever doesn’t change what actually happened. The GOP hasn’t been able to legislate anything for over 6 years.
It has become obvious that the Democrats have no intention of taking responsibility for problems that they cause. In fact, the Democrat Party has no interest whatsoever in ever seeing an economic recovery or a return to prosperity.
The Democrat Party is interested in taking and holding power. All their plans, legislation, tactics and strategy are centered around that.
Yes he is soooooo not cool (and never was). ^..^
He’s already in the running?
He is being judged now on what he does not what he says……as it should be.
