  • Seeing Angels

A former police officer who arrived after United Airlines Flight 93 crashed on 9/11 said she saw angels guarding the site of the crash.  Here is the link:  Link

    Do you believe in Angels?

  • Angles are quite obtuse.

  • FIRST!!!!! Suck it, bitches!!!

  • AND CORNERS, AND SLOPES

  • I do believe in angels. I also believe there are troubled people, confused people, and people who just want to sell books in this world.

  • Yes, but I think they’re different from what most people think they are.

  • Yes I even have one ^-^ lol

  • I believe a lot of things are possible. If angels do exist then it would make sense that they would be at the site where so many people gave up their lives to save the lives of others. Those people were heroes, and that place is sacred. So why not angels?

  • Absolutely. My mother AND father have seen them.

In fact, they both saw one at the same time one night in their home and it spoke to both of them directly. :)

  • Anything that is in the imagination does exist but is not necessarily real. So in that sense yes i believe in them but i know they are impossible.

  • I believe she believes in what she saw. I believe that if I had seen what she saw, then I would be saying the same things.

  • If angels existed, you’d think they’d prevent 9/11 and save lives, and not “guard” the crash sites. I don’t see the point of miracles when hundreds of human beings have already burned to death in flaming jet fuel.

  • I once saw an Angel at a strip club.  She would dance for me if I kept inserting dollar bills.

  • @saintvi – haha I lol’d at the last bit of your comment. :D

  • @Celestial_Teapot -  Celestial, there are many definitions and interpretations to angels. I – personally – see them as more of a kind of guiding statue, to keep the madness at bay. The ultimate hallucination of ‘someone’ who cares when one is in the most desperate need for answers and salvation.

Much like the calculation of Pi is to mathematicians. It is the sphere of definition, the eyes seeing what they consider the most pure and the most perfect in their terrible hour of need and comfort.

In this – we see – or think we see – angels.

    I recommend Emily’s post.

  • Angels ? They have been given many names. Whether it is pure hallucination or something more. I have met mine, and I call her my Guardian, and to my knowledge she has protected me all through my life and awaits for me to hold her hand in the afterlife.

And if she does not exist, she most certainly will by the time I am ready for her.

    That is where PROT went.

  • I call BS!

  • I’ve been told I’m an angel LOL I guess I should believe in them

  • yes guardians angels and angels.

my mum woked up one morning and had a mark on her arm which should could not explained (it was not serious)

Last year I had a dream that my Uncle and wife were expecting their first child (the ones who got married in 2009) I told my Uncle and his wife about what I dreamt about,  when we saw them that night there were not many signs.    My uncle and wife waited to the test results.    (from February last year to September -  I got asked whether the child was going to be a boy or girl)  twins, triples etc.

I have not seen one or don’t think I seen one.

  • during one of my near death experiences, I blacked out for a second and didn’t see anything>_< the light turned off and then turned back on in my eyes then I started to panic again that I was going to die!!!!!! and kept feeling like I was going to pass out again. I was too busy freaking out to notice angels or anything else. my world was spinning and I was going to dieeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

  • Of course the angels exist. Well they did. Without them, instead of the Angel-Saxons, we’d just have the Saxons and it wouldn’t be England (the land of the Angels) but Saxland, which sounds like a tribal jazz club.

  • Lol are you kidding? Have you seen me?

  • Why would they ‘guard’ the crash site?  To watch everyone die?

I do believe that there are people who see/have seen things.  But as to what they are or if they are even real….I am unsure.  I don’t believe in God, so I am not inclined to believe in Angels either.

  • Angels only exist in your mind and come from images you have seen in your past life in particular your childhood. Angels are not any more real than Batman and Spider man or Santa Clause and it takes a rational and honest adult to point these things out to children and others of weak mind and intellect. Several of my friends and co workers died on 9/11 as pilots and crew members on the aircraft that were high jacked.. Some were atheists some agnostic some spiritual and some believers. What about the Muslim terrorists? Are there angels present at the crash sight too????

  • Don’t blink.

    Don’t even blink.

  • Yes. A better question would be: Would you give up being an angel to become a human? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbjZwEUmL0I

  • I believe in KFC and lady boners.

  • No, I think they are a beautiful invention.

  • Just all the beautiful women here on Xanga.

    …no? Too cheesy?

  • People believe in what they want to and need to believe.

  • I believe it is possible she saw angels. Why not?

  • Maybe. I think sometimes in those sort of intense situations we see what we need to see.

  • @Lithium98 - I threw up in my mouth ;)

  • I saw an angel once Dan. It was you and your wife on xanga live webcam.

  • There are angels, and their “jobs’ are not defined by us humans and what WE WANT.  Contrary to what some people seem to think, Man is not Master of the Universe.  I don’t know the exact nature of angels, but I do know I have been guided away from some tough situations, and towards places of safety, when I had no idea what I was doing.

  • Yes, I very much believe in angels.

  • Those angels aren’t “guarding” the site “from harm” – but they were there because people were traumatized and their consciousness was about to cross the realm.
Also, angels are not exclusively on God’s side. There are fallen ones too. Some of them orchestrated 9/11.

  • I believe in God, who created the angels.

  • Lillie Lenardi looks like Michelle Bachman’s older fatter sister.

As for Angels….I beleive in um. What a catch Trout turned out to be! They are hitting and gonna kick Tex’ass.

  • Yes, of course.  I know I’ve met some; but others I’ve met but didn’t recognize they were angels.  Still, I have my spiritual and natural eyes open hoping to miss nothing.

  • Dear Dan,

According to documented Christian lore, Satan himself was first the archangel Lucifer, before he was cast from heaven. So if you believe in the devil, you should possibly believe in angels. Isaiah 14:12. “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!” It could be argued that most of the lore comes from Milton (I wonder if modern Eng Lit students have to trudge through Paradise Lost) rather than the Hebraic version of the Old Testament, but that’s beside the point.

Angels are appear in the Holy Bible, the Torah, and the Qur’an. (I’m the first Michael in my family. I was christened for the archangel Michael, who leads the charge against the aforementioned Satan in the Book of Revelation in the New Testament.)

Angels have a long history in monotheistic theology.

As for my “personal and universal” belief. Here is a passage from an essay I wrote a while back.

“I believe I was given an epiphany many years ago which told me “exactly” what “happens” after death. It doesn’t include angels with harps, devils with tridents, God on a throne, or other icons of my Christian upbringing… Many who have “returned” from a near death experience tell of encountering a “tunnel” with a bright light at the end. Supposedly this is the entrance to Heaven, and some think they might have “seen” or “felt” the presence of those in their immediate orbit who have passed away, like beloved family members, friends, or mentors…If someone says they saw an “angel” then those who believe in angels will point out that this perpetrates that particular truth. I just wrote that my ephiphany didn’t include angels, but this doesn’t hamper the possible truth of their existence.”

Michael F. Nyiri, poet, philosopher, fool

(When I pass on, right before I let you know that it’s time to post me a tribute blog, I’ll clue you in to the truth of their existence. No time now to click on your link and actually read the article to which you refer, but my immediate thought would be that angels are around the crash to shepherd the fallen to eternity, and not “guard” the scene.)

  • Yes, sir, I do. =D
“St. Augustine says, ‘”Angel”, is the name of their office, not of their nature. If you seek of their nature, it is “spirit”; if you seek the name of their office, it is “angel” : from what they are, “spirit”, from what they do, “angel”.’” – (328 CCC) So you have Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominions, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels, and Angels.

Hopefully this woman is being honest about what she saw and not just saying it for $.$

  • Absolutely I do. Some from heaven, others on earth among us.

  • Seeing Angels? Why not. People can believe in everything they want. But when they are physically or mentally exhausted they also can imagine everything they want to believe.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - That’s pretty much what I was thinking.

  • yes. even though i can’t see them

  • Yes. Is that what she saw or was it spirit orbs? hard to tell unless you are versed in the supernatural.  She indicated they were small balls of light. A much sought after phenomenon by “supernaturalists”.  I believe they are creatures unlike man but can appear as man if they need to.  They are messengers not saints with wings. Some may dwell on earth and relay (message/report) to the higher authorities in “heaven” or bring messages to us. In their natural form they must be awesome because many encounters with man is prefaced with “Be not afraid”. If we encounter them here on earth we probably won’t recognize them by their physical form if we see them at all.  The Sodomites saw them as men and we are instructed not to turn away strangers for they may be angels.

  • I believe in supernatural beings. I think it’s possible that there are some that want to help us, but I they don’t necessarily have to fit the biblical description of angels.

  • I believe in people making shit up to sell books.

  • I had a fortune teller tell me once that I’ve had two angels guarding me my whole life.  I guess that explains why I felt something “push” me back onto the curb when I almost stepped out in front of a bus.

  • I believe it is possible, but have never seen one, that I know of, except the kind that comes in human form, through kindness.

  • I definately believe in angels. I once prayed for protection in a house I was sharing in NZ and I woke to a room full of them. Someone made a comment along the lines that they come in different forms, which is what i believe i experienced. I just ask, Does believing in Angels mean believing in Christ?

  • @LKJSlain - You simply MUST blog about this!!!!! I would LOVE to read it!!!

  • I absolutely believe in angels, and would not be surprised to discover in heaven that I have met a few without being aware of it. My husband saw one once when he saved his life. I absolutely believe in guardian angels, although I do not necessarily believe that they are assigned to you at birth and follow you always – but rather, they come when sent by God when needed, or when prayed for. They cause things to happen, they can protect or kill, which ever they have been commanded by God do. Sometimes they just relay messages. They are also free agents with the ability to rebel against God. They are direct creations of God and were not originally created mortal humans, when we die if we are saved, we don’t “become” angels IOW.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - ah, but couldn’t an argument be made that angels saved more lives?  Such as bringing down flight 93 before it could do MORE damage and kill MORE people?  Or the fact that only 4,000 died when considering the massive number of folks that work and visit the WTC every day?  Remember, Angels are workers for God, not God, meaning they have some powers more than us, but not full God powers.

  • @LKJSlain - Ditto Mtngirl.  I would like to read this.
