  • Keeping Your Current Weight

Imagine that you could stay the weight you are right now for the rest of your life.

You would never be able to lose weight.  But no matter what you ate, you would never gain weight.

Would you want to keep your current weight for life?

  • Yeah, but with more muscle.

  • I’m relatively happen with my weight so I don’t mind – plus as I get older and drop the competitive athletics I highly doubt I’ll be able to maintain my current weight so I’ll take the deal

  • Nope.  Not at all.

  • Nope… I am working to not be this weight!  Ask me in a couple months ;)

  • as long as i could change the shape an composition, sure why not?

  • When I shaved off my goatee this afternoon I discovered to my horror that I have a slight double chin. So no, I would not want to stay this weight. ::sigh::

  • I want to be at 140, and I’m at like 129 right now. So no.

  • noooo :( i’d like to trim down and get more lean and THEN maybe i’ll take on this magical manifestation

  • That’s pretty much where I’ve been for the past ten years. I don’t want to be this weight for the rest of my life.

  • Not really. Want to trim down a bit more.

  • I’d be okay with it. Ideally, I’d like to lose 10 more pounds – that’d be my goal weight, but if I never gained from where I am now, I would be happy.

  • @saintvi - As soon as I get my bike back, you and I should have a biking date!

  • Sure. I’ll just work out even more and all that weight will be converted to muscle

  • Still too fat at the moment.

  • I would take that deal in a heartbeat.

  • I’d stay the same weight.  Not even a second thought to that one.  Besides, I think if you altered the question slightly to “Would you rather keep your current weight or have cancer?” not nearly as many people would want to change.  …Then again, you might start a cancer craze on the thinspo sites.

  • Once I lose 15 more pounds I wouldn’t mind staying at that weight.

  • I am pretty overweight, so no… it would be nice later. Of course, in real life what you eat, in what portion, and how much you exercise; are all factors in weight gain, loss, or stability

  • Ideally, I should be 120 lbs. lighter.

  • I’d lock it in like a 2% mortgage on a mountainside cottage.

  • Nope. I want to be the typically slim Asian chick which I’m so not. I’ve got a bit of meat on me and that meat’s gotta go.

  • what are you a female?  Why do you keep posting things about women’s images?  IF you knew anything you would know a female’s body fluxuates during there life span due to the evolution of their  body maturity.  During puberty females’ body evolves, after kids our bodies naturally change.  Even breast size/hip span/bone structure  develops way over  puberty.    a female does not stay the same that is an assinine stupid post.

  • what do you MEAN?   if in lala hypothetical  stupid land  women didn’t have  children?  If they didn’t   go through puberty?  Hmmmm…maybe women’s metabolisn  does change in  your fruit bag  ‘theory’?  Hey!  what about menopause.  NO  buddy: “If YOU could stay the same wieght and size would you or when  or if you have hit 30 and your metabolism slowed down would you want to stay the same weight and size?”  Try having a kid and then  ask that question onto  women again.

  • I’d be fine with it.

  • If I lost like ten pounds then I would want to stay there forever. It goes up and down so sometimes I am there but I always want to  be there!

  • I wouldn’t mind being this weight for the rest of my life, if some of the fat were replaced with muscle.

  • I’m not sure how that would work with pregnancy, but I’m comfortable with my weight.

  • No. Ask this in a year then yes. lol. I am loosing weight atm so I’d rather not stay at what I am at :P Although I have lost 35 pounds, I still have some more to go lol.

  • No.

My weight right now is good, but I still want to lose more.

  • Hmm. I am 5’4″ and 129, having recently lost 14 pounds. Though I am not thrilled with my weight, the promise of eating whatever I want mixed with the fact that 5’4″ and 129 at 50 will probably be considered VERY slim by other middle-agers…

Then yes, I would keep my weight.

  • my doctor tells me i should lose 10lbs but since he also suggests i should also drink 7 coffees a day i deducted he was crazy. he himself is 6ft tall and weigh no more than 130lbs…

  • Yes! I’m 120 pounds. I gain weight easily though so  I have to work out. But I would love to stay the same weight if I ever decide to have a baby =D

  • judging from my mom’s weight, she’s been in the 110′s since she was in her 20′s and about 30 years later, she’s still the same weight, so it looks like I won’t gain change much either. I’m a few pounds heavier than her. we’re like twins. so sure, same weight forever. I don’t think it is hereditary or whatever, because her sister is obese. it is personal lifestyle for the way we look. I’m aware that there are other circumstances that might cause weight change.

  • Fact is no matter how we are, we are rarely happy with our bodies. Sure I’ll take it. But I would rather take it in oh say, 2 months

  • Given that I’m running 15 miles a week and weigh what I did when I was 19, absolutely. Ideally, I want to lose 10 more pounds so I become a faster runner, but if it meant never gaining more weight– absolutely, I would take it.

  • We’re all fat these days.  :/

  • i like how some people are saying they are going to alter the body composition when fat cannot be “turned into” muscle.  it does not work that way.

i don’t think i would want to remain my weight regardless of what i ate.  that would give me motivation to eat unhealthy, and there are dozens of health markers just as important as your weight that would be affected.

  • i wanna loose like 5lbs first :/

  • I would like to be about 20lbs lighter but I could stay this way for life I guess. I’m 167 and 5’4 but I’m old ,too. lol

  • Nope! I want to lose 50lbs. If you posted this 50lbs from now than I’d say Yes!

  • i’m actually pretty good with my current weight, yeah. i’ma be bummed when i’m a fat middle aged mom :(

  • if i stay the same shape, then perhaps yes

but if i lose a limb then redistribute the weight theno =

  • While I’m in the process of losing weight, if I could guarantee not gaining any more weight I’d probably take it.

  • @Celestial_Teapot - Does that mean you wouldn’t exist?

  • ask me this question 10 years ago and I’d say fuck yeah.

  • Yes. Ideally, I’d like to lose 10 more pounds, but everyone tells me that I look fine. So I guess, yeah, if I’d never gain another pound, I’d take it.

  • I don’t have to worry about what I eat but I sure wish I could gain about 40 lbs.

  • If you’d asked me that 5 years ago, I would have said yes. But now I wish I could gain a few pounds.

  • Yes! Sometimes I’d like to be 5-10 pounds lighter, but realistically I’m a healthy weight for my height and I look good. Any thinner and I might not have any curves.

  • Yes, because I could still probably change out 10 pounds of fat for 10 poudns of muscle and id be pretty ripped.

  • No, I want to be 10 pounds less.  Really.

  • I’d say yes, but it would unhealthy to be this weight while pregnant and I want to have little ones :)

  • Definitely not!

  • I’d like to lose some weight and then keep that one. not so happy at my current weight.

  • no because that would mean I’d be a fathead forever ;P

  • Sure-I guess I could live with my weight right now. I am currently doing Atkins Induction phase 1 for the past month. I am 134lbs and that’s okay. I want to be 120-125lbs but it takes time and a lot of discipline. If I could go back to eating bread, fries, sushi, and STILL say at 134lbs??? I would be thrilled! But alas-that is not how science works-so it’s back to meat and greens…

  • I think I would be okay, but not “happy”.

  • No matter what I ate? SIGN ME UP.

  • LOL funny this is I have always been the same weight for 8 years no matter what. Give or take a pound. Before I used be a couch potato and still never gained or lost weight. Currently today at my fittest, I still weight the same as 8 years ago.

  • Pushing 400 is pure sex so I would definitely stay this size. You have no idea how many feeders love me.

  • Well I am very proud of my 6 pack that I protect it with a layer of fat.

  • Oooh… that’s a gamble. I might say yes because my weight doesn’t seem to be going away.

  • Hell no! Can I, however, put this option on hold?? Oh, please, please say I can!

  • Sure, as long as I could add a few inches in height! :) (I’m not over weight, I’m under tall.)

  • Hm. Maybe two or three pounds more of muscle weight and I’d be good. I don’t think I can go up to 100lbs without looking tubby.

  • yes yes yes. i would love that. i think my weight is perfect right now.

  • Yes, Thats actually how Iam right now, sorta. I can never get below 125 no matter how much I work out, or get about 135 no matter how much I eat. But I better quit talking about it before I Jinx it…

  • I’d love to lose about 15 pounds. But I’m a 22-year old male, and given the weight of most 44-year old males in this country… hell yes, I would lock in my present weight given the opportunity. It’s so depressing living in a society where you know you’ve got a 2 in 3 chance of being obese. Not overweight, obese. As in you don’t look much like what a human being should look like any more. It can be kind of terrifying.

  • I would be fine with that.

  • That’s a really tough decision I would have to think about actually. While I’m not happy with my weight now, I know it’s very common to gain weight as you age, especially after menopause, even if you try and keep it off. I might take the deal, because having this body now at 50 might be worth being unhappy with my weight now. Especially knowing I’m one of the few who finds my weight unappealing.
