  • Xanga Suicide

    I was reading a post by Light Blue Fables where she mentioned she was thinking about shutting her xanga site down.

    That would make me sad.  I shut down twice and it felt like I killed a friend.  You never really connect back with everyone.
    It is funny because back in the old days, it felt like everyone had shut down at one time or another.

  • Should President Obama Take Guns Away?

    Vice-President Joe Biden indicated that President Obama may use his executive order to restrict gun use.

  • Man, 70, Marries 15 Year Old Girl

    I love a good romance story.  I many of 70 falls in love with a 15 year old girl.  He buys her and then marries her.

    When he is 90, she is going to be 35 and the age difference won’t be such a big deal.

  • Fear

    I am pretty sure my greatest fear is failure.  In fact, I have to force myself to not let it override me.  

    I tend to think that we sometimes gravitate to our fears.

    So a photo was released of Justin Bieber holding what some are calling a joint.  Others say it is a cigarette.

    I know that there are plenty of people on xanga who know the difference.

    I must admit I sometimes take my work home with me.  In fact, I tend to do some of my internet marketing from home.

  • Loyalty and Friendship

    I must admit I tend to base my friendships off of loyalty.  But it is based on my definition of loyalty.

    I will never forget when one of my best friends who is a goldy older man told me one day, “Loyalty is everything.”  I knew he was not talking about compromising myself.  I knew he was not talking about never correcting anything.  But I also immediately knew what he was saying.
    He required loyalty in his friendships.  He told me anything because he knew I would never repeat a matter.  He knew I would never speak against him behind his back.  He knew I would never attack him with information.
    I must admit I need to be more careful on what I judge as disloyal.

  • Going to the Doctor

    I had to go to the doctor tonight.  I have been so sick.  I am probably dying.  

    She gave me a prescription.  I probably go to the doctor once a year.
    About how many times a year do you go to the doctor?
                                                                                

  • Opposite Sex Sleepovers

    My parents rule was that I could never have the opposite sex sleepover. 

    Even if the girl was just friends, she was not allowed to sleepover.  I had three sisters so there were a few workarounds to this rule.
    Nothing could take place because they were just friends.
    At what age is it appropriate to have the opposite sex sleepover?
