  • Oh man they would nail the doors shut to keep me out.

  • Nope cause it doesn’t exist

  • eh. Who knows.

  • Probably not!!

  • Yes, I would tell him I was a Xangan and am friend with Dan…
… automatic in, right? ha ha

  • Heaven doesn’t exist, so no.

    If it did though…
No. I’m liberal, and from the impression I’ve gotten from conservatives, I might as well be the devil.

  • will take some waiting

  • not for me to decide.

  • As a Christian, I believe so… Then again, being a Christian isn’t guaranteed seating. It’s also the way you live and how you treat others. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a horrible Christian. If I died tonight, well… I’m just not sure. God is going to have to forgive me for a lot of things.

  • I’d probably check it out. See who’s there and if it’s lively at all. If it isn’t, I’d probably just come back to earth and haunt someone kicks.

  • I believe I would, but beyond accepting Jesus Christ and his teachings, it is a matter of faith that I will be allowed entrance to Heaven.

    EDIT: “They melvined me.”

  • I believe I would be, as I have faith in what the Bible says and I am a Christian.

  • More than likely I’ll be spending some time in purgatory before finally being admitted into heaven. That’s fine with me, though. :)

  • Jesus Christ died for my sins and for the sins of the world… No one’s ever done that for me before… I believe He loves me. After that, it’s up to Him. :) The thing is however, I love Jesus/Yeshua EVEN if I spend an eternity in hell, because He is amazing and awesome and wonderful. I don’t love Him for fear of hell, I love Him because He first loved me and deserves everything.

  • @Jack_Hawksmoor - if you took jesus into your life and you meant it, then you ARE guaranteed entrance. the bible says, “not by WORKS, lest any man should boast”. if you are unsure of your standing, he is only a whispered prayer away. if you are estranged from the lord, make it right.
@stargazerlillikat - actually, it IS your decision. you will decide whether to accept him or not. he is waiting patiently for those who will make that choice and your eternal life is guaranteed.

  • This made me laugh and role my eyes at the same time.

  • If I died tonight, I’d be dead.

  • I don’t know. I’m pretty sure wherever I’d go wouldn’t look like clouds and pearly gates. But anything’s possible.

  • Heaven is in the Earth’s atmosphere? Huh.

The fact that the whole concept of heaven doesn’t set off EVERYONE’s bullshit meter is a heartbreaking, yet endlessly hilarious fact.

    *FACEPALM*

  • @In_Reason_I_Trust - ”heartbreaking, yet endlessly hilarious” – my exact sentiments when I saw that YouTube of you and that chick singing “Reason and Wonder”. At first I was embarassed for ya. Then I laughed ’til my ass fell off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUvwQJiZDPU

  • @Erika_Steele - I call dibs on your body!

  • Hopefully heaven,  but would if you could hop between both heaven, hell or anything else in between.      I will hopefully being going to heaven.

  • I sure hope not, heaven sounds boring. I’m much more curious about what hell is like.

  • not straightaway……….I would go to paradise, also known as “Abraham’s bosom” and when the rapture happened, then I would get to go there………for a time anyway, till time to come back here for round two during the millennial reign……..

  • I like your picture of heaven. Pretty.

  • Why is this on Top Blogs? I’ve seen 14 years old kids who write proper blogs on WordPress.

  • Death is not an end but a transition. Life continues beyond the physical body. The work is not finished.

  • here come the religious nuts.
heaven doesn’t exist. if I died I’d be dead, and my body is going to one place only. 3 feet under. After a week nobody would give a shit, and life would continue as normal.

    Good morning.

  • i cling to the words of Jesus hanging on the cross “today you shall be with me in paradise”. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Yes, i know the moment this body dies, my spirit will witness beauty and peace unimaginable.–karen

  • A definite Yes!!
I have helped a lot of people who think of me as an angel.

  • Go directly to Hell. Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200.

@In_Reason_I_Trust - Where did you get such a conjecture?

  • Eventually. I hear the trip includes layovers in Hades, Valhalla, and Narnia.

  • I fear the consequences

  • @Doubledb - that is all its takes. We need to start a new church and call that our creed. The church of Dad

  • I’ve already been to hell so everything is up.

I lost my soul but never my material things while I was lost but I was reborn back in 1987 and by the grace of God I’ve been in heaven since that Nov.first.

  • I just hope there is no afterlife, heaven, hell or reincarnation.

  • @HUMOR_ME_NOW - while reading this morning I read ,”a sunset in one land is just a sunrise is another land.” plus remember when we were kids and we would get called home? We always hated to be the first called home.

  • @SKANLYN - Still the best at what you do. But I can set off Unreasonable and Untrustworthy better than you can

  • No. Because I don’t believe in it.

But yes, because Jesus died for my sins, etc.

  • probably not.  but i’m okay with that.  i’m proud of my life, for the most part.  i don’t need the approval of any deity.

  • @Texasjillcarmel - lol  Yes, I remember.  Good analogy about the sunset and sunrise.

  • Nope. I still have much to repent for. :x

  • To be completely honest, I’m more worried about my lasting impact on earth.

  • What’s your answer to this question

  • I would go to Heaven because of the work Christ did on the cross.

  • Consider the tremendous work to keep earth going. Consider the tremendous investment in life that people have on themselves. The opposite belief is that the world is an easy thing and that life does not require much work. I find it hard to believe that life doesn’t require much work so I consider if there is a heaven, there will be a tremendous effort to getting into heaven.

Have I put much effort into earth and making things heavenly for others? I would say I have done a so so job and the folks who claim they are going to heaven makes me roll my eyes.

  • With my luck, I wouldn’t even get into Detroit.

  • Yep. It’s the hope that I hold in my heart.  :)

  • I don’t know what can I do?Hopefully I established.

  • I am actually going to be doing something really awesome when I am dead.

I will stop existing in the normal sense all of my parts will back with the universe and every thing I did in life will have an effect. Even when all life on earth is gone. My legacy will continue as atoms move in to place to create stars, planets, black holes I shall have a part of all of that. I can say I helped to create the universe as it will be known. I will be part “god”

  • Do you live your life so that your only concern is making sure you get into heaven? Do you you really only care about the fact that being a christian is more than living so that your ego can survive past death, or making sure you don’t parish? Is your life selfishly towards God to that you don’t go to Hell, is it even about God? Because news flash! WE ALL DESERVE HELL!

  • Of course! Everyone does. And if not everyone does I would much rather go to hell anyway.

  • if i died tonight i would go to heaven but if i died right now i would go to hell since i’m not prepared..

  • Hell is being here on earth…anything else has got to be better, although..i live for time i am alive and here on Earth. I do not live for what happens after I am dead.. I am able to see everyones sides to all these Godly questions. everyone has their own beliefs. i am here as an outsider observing all people..perhaps a God made us human beings…for there is no gretaer thing created in the whole universe as us human beings..just a genius work of art..how our human bodies were constructed and created…to exist up to 100 years or more..seriously..a heart to pump that long, systems to work intricately together..I ponder all the time…there must had been a GOD to create the human body, and living creatures..yet i dont really know..dont really beileve in Heaven or hell.. I just want to feel happy and privelegved to have existed on this planet…what happens after we die is anyones guess.. our memories live on with our friends and families, that’s what matters most.

  • I highly HIGHLY doubt it!! Hahahaha

  • @Composing_Life - nope not how i believe.  that is a strictly protestant view and i am not one.  you are free to have your beliefs and i am free to have mine.  as i stated in my answer to the question that is not my choice and i do not accept your attempt to project your belief onto mine.

  • I would hope so O.o

  • No doubt in my mind ! Yes I would and yes it does exist ! As a family caregiver I have sat with to many people as they died for me not to believe–Can’t change my mind so don’t try !

  • It’s funny you should ask this question just now.

I have my hands full dealing with this life let alone the afterlife.  But at church last night I went to Confession and took Holy Communion and satisfied conditions to receive an indulgence.

That means I’m good to go as far as heaven is concerned.

  • I have no idea.  I’d like to think so.

  • I believe I would. I’m not the best person alive, certainly not the saintliest. But I do my best, and I have my faith.

  • Since it doesn’t exist….

  • really the amazing thing is that we have all got an eternal spirit that will go on being aware even after Death to this temporary realm we are in.
but if our state is evil when we died then that’s how we are forever. So God had to bring us to a choice (we have been given a free will to chose).
We are born in corruptible state but He has given us the choice to be born back into his family. in John chapter 1v12 it said “for all those who believed on Him (Jesus) He gave the right to become children of God”
now there are therefore two types on earth, those who have taken up that ofter of God and those who haven’t yet.
So if you have believed on Jesus you have a Guarantee of eternal life in heaven ,(which is everything good and pleasant that you can imagine and then some) Note its not about how good or bad you are but about becoming part of the family of God through Jesus christ.
Gods family are destine for heaven .! Good news right because we cant do it ourselves but Jesus has done it for us , thats why we can praise him if we believe!

  • Yes. I have already been “there” ion 1989 when I had a near death experience courtesy of a drunk driver slamming into my car, driver’s door. It is beautiful but I was allowed to decide whether to return or not. I think you can guess that I  returned to finish this life. Many other options were available.

  •
So… I believe in Jesus Christ. He was the son of God and he came to save me from sin. I asked him into my heart when I was at summer camp as a kid… But then I went on to live a sinful life. I decided much of my life for myself. I chose that I did not want to be a virgin anymore when I was 17, I chose to do drugs and waste my perfectly good mind, I chose to Dance on a pole and entice men with my body. I chose to fuck up.
I also heard that you can’t get into heaven unless you have been baptized, and I was raised in a Unitarian family, so I never was… so I don’t really know if God will let me through the (commonly believed to be physical) “pearly gates”
But now, I am reading the Bible and it doesn’t seem like God tells is there will be more time after we die. It just tells us that we will go back to being dust, which basically means we will return to the Earth. There is a life stream surrounding the planet, and since there is nothing new under the sun, I believe that we will become one with mother earth (and father God) and go back into the life stream of the planet once we die… Unless we do not believe in God. Then, I think that our souls are condensed into black holes  (that seems more hell-like than a fiery abyss) and eternally separated from the growing-life-force that God is.

But who am I to know anything of the future. I can only try to learn and do my best right now. <3

  • no.  and i’m OK with that.

  • I have to say, being a rather luckless Christian, if I died tonight, I’d probably find out that the Muslims were the only ones that have the right idea about Heaven.  Not that I believe I can go to Heaven in any case.  I try to be the person God wants me to be, not for the reward, but because I want to do the right thing and please God.  I am not, however, going to affect the Universe by even one tiny degree.  I just want to be on the good side when the columns are totaled.

  • With the assumption that both heaven and God exist, I’d say the answer to that is up to God. I do not feel entitled to heaven. I find it curious that preachers really pound in the 100% mark. Are you 100% sure you’d go to heaven? Preacher, I’m not 100% sure a physical reality exists the way I think it exists or that I was really birthed through a vagina. I’m 99% sure of those things I mentioned, but there’s always that 1% mark of error for Something Else.
