How Attractive Are You
Recently I was sitting with a group of people and one woman said she on a scale of 1 to 10, she was a 3. I would have put her as a 6.
Then another woman declared she was a 5 and I would have put her as an 8. A guy suggested he was an 8. Another guy said he was a 9. It is funny that the guys rated themselves higher than the women.On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate yourself?

I went to the optometrist and it was her eyes that were dilating! Mwa ha ha. Really though? Maybe a 5. I’ve lost quite a bit of weight since September, so maybe the number has risen a bit?

4 without make up and naked

The numbers system never made sense to me. Your overall attractiveness can go up or down depending on how you’re dressed or who you’re in proximity to. I think I’m probably about a solid four, a five if I’m dressed up. My body type is not the mainstream consideration of “hot”. Most of the guys I’ve dated, though, would rate me higher, I’d wager, as their definition of attractive is, well, me, and they’ve told me so.
This scale doesn’t go high enough.

I’ve always thought of myself as a 5 or 6. I know I’m not drop-dead gorgeous, but I don’t think that I’m uglier than average… could be wrong.

I dont know why they always need to remind me I’m less than three, but they do it a lot.

A 9 no one is perfect, but I have come to realize many things I have to offer, and the ways in which I treat people. To devalue myself because someone doesn’t know me, or is so shallow as to rate on what they consider good looking is foolish. No if you knew me, you’d know I’m not concieted either, but I know my own value, that is intelligence, which many people lack, or are foolish enough to believe a fools opinion.

Posts like this make me wonder if scraping the bottom of the barrel might mean it’s time to end your little endeavor here. But then I see all the responses and realize how many people are wallowing in said bottom.
I am a ’1′ because I had not luck with women all of my life except the one who married me. I feel bad about it sometimes and saw guys who had many girls liking them. I do sort of OK in Xanga even though I am 79 and married 57 years, but zero in my real life.

I think some survey found that most people will rank themselves as a 7. It makes you sound pretty but not full of yourself. Me? 5.5. Perfectly average in every way. Actually, probably more like a 4. I don’t worry about it. I’m married to a good man who loves me.

In reality, people tend to rate themselves higher than they are. You asked and our culture requires women to be modest so of course the women would rate themselves lower to you. But if you can get their honest opinion, I’d bet it’s much higher than average.

I’d be an 8 if it was how ugly.
I hate myself, so I dunno.. But other people tell me im pretty high on the “food chain” and I use to be a model so I guess im ok.. I know I get pretty insecure though and I get pretty petty and sign up to sites like beautifulpeople.com just to get in and feel validated sometimes shrug… As for rating other people I dont give numbers to other people. I think women rate themselves lower because we’re “stuck up” or “bitchy” if we rate high. Women are supposed to be seen as modest. Men are supposed to be sure of themselves and confident.. and while I believe we are coming out of these gender roles, sometimes little things like that show up.
I would never trust someone’s self rate. I’ve been told I’m a 7 most of my adult life after losing weight… so I go with 7.
Men tend to have a higher self worth then women in my opinion, thus there rates are higher. I personally wouldn’t be to good at rating myself considering I don’t view myself in a way that others may.

As far as attractiveness to others goes, that would depend on the person and what they like. It’s totally subjective.
