The Placement of Your Tattoo
I was reading an article about the places where women tend to put tattoos.
According to the article, many women like to put tattoos on their lower back or the back of their neck. This will allow them to hide them when they want. Here is the link: LinkIf you were getting a tattoo, where would you want to put it?

Ribcage, on the side, 1 piece swimsuit would cover it.
I wont get one so no problem deciding where to put it!
I would put it on someone else.
My tattoo is across my upper back, which is very easy to hide. In fact, most people don’t know I have it since I dress fairly covered up anyway.
I have one on my wrist and I’m likely going to get another on my rib cage or somewhere along my back.
Upper back. Or my ankle.
Ribcage
One piece of advice: Stay away from the Tramp Stamp. I came close to getting one on my shoulder blade, so if I were to get one some day that’d be where I’d put it.
No tats for me. I like my skin clear and unblemished-looking.
I like girls with tattoos. Really.
My next tattoo will be on my wrist.
I’ve got one on my left wrist, one on my right ribcage, and I plan on getting another one on my right wrist, another one on my left side, one on the left side near my collarbone/shoulder, and one on my right shoulderblade.
Wrists, but I’m afraid of not being able to cover it up fashionably.
I have one between my shoulder blades and one on the inside of my left wrist.
Want to know what I really hate though? The term “tramp stamp” for tattoos women get on their lower back. It’s so disrespectful and gives a negative connotation towards women who get a tattoo there. I think it’s an attractive place to get a tattoo though.
I have several and they’re all on my torso.
behind my ear
I won’t get one, but if I did it would be someplace where I could see it. Maybe my ankle.
I’ve got one on my left ankle. Honestly I sometimes forget its there, though it’s not tiny.
The only time you can see any of my tats is when Im wearing a bikini and I did that on purpose because I want to be able to get good jobs when ever without having to dress like a nun to hide my tats.
I have a tattoo of my face on my face!
Maybe under my watch? Got some scars I could do something with.
I’m not really a tattoo kind of guy, though.
I don’t tink I’ll get one, but once I saw a woman who got her husbands name tattooed on her wrist as an anniversary gift. I think that was cute.
I wouldn”t consider putting one. I think this tattoo business has gone a bit extreme. Some people look like a walking advertisement. Best example of that is the basketball player they call ” The Birdman ” on the Miami Heat team
I’m honestly not a fan of tattoos anymore, but if for some bazaar reason, I had to get one (or if someone were willing to pay me enough):
Above my left breast, ish – where my heart is, two small, black hearts, the first just an outline, the second filled in, followed by a third, slightly bigger heart. I’m not sure if it would be pink or blue, as the baby is still “in the oven”.
OR
On my right thigh, a crying angel or fairy sitting between/in front of two gravestones.
I have 10 tatts, left calf, right calf, right ankle as a bracelet, left wrist as a bracelet, left top forearm, left inner forearm, right top forearm, two on the right chest, and right hand on the fleshy area between the thumb and pointer finger. If I were to get more, I’d choose the right inner forearm, tops of my feet, back or side of my neck, and maybe shoulder blades.
Oh, and if I were ever to get married, I’d like to get the ring tattooed.
Don’t have one and I’m happy with that. Although a couple friends do and they are pretty, just not for me.
@Typically_Misunderstood – thank you for saying that. Mine didn’t have that label when I got it. I like the lower back bc I can hide it. But now I hear that term and it ruins the pride I feel about my tattoo. It’s about the tattoo itself, not the placement
on the ankle, but I won’t get one either, I have to pay utility bills with my spare money
my arm because the low back is a tramp stamp the foot is to tender for me:)
@Celestial_Teapot - that sounds like the perfect spot to me…
@ShamrockLover - I actually get on people whenever they say that because it’s just really unfair. It’s an attractive place to get a tattoo and as you said it’s easy to hide. That was one of the reasons why I got the one on my back. The one on my wrist is clearly visible though but at the same time it’s small so I can wear a watch or a bracelet if work is like ‘zomg no ew’
I have one on my side and one on my hip.
Mine is on my posterior left shoulder.
Hmmm… If I ever got one – maybe in the arm pits?
on my ribs or on the back of my shoulder. If i wasn’t going to be a teacher and didn’t need them covered, my wrist or arm
No too sure. The tattoo I’ve been designing for the last 15 years or so has evolved into a full back image, but as it keeps changing, I’m not sure I’ll ever get it, lol.
I have 4 tattoos, one on my right shoulder blade, one on each wrist and one on my leg. I’m planning on at least three more tatoos to go on my leg, shoulder blade and my inner arm
I had my tattoo placed on my right calf. I really want to get one more on my left forearm, but I think I am just going to wait a few more years.
were it can’t be hidden. I prefer for them to show if I’m going to spend money on it. No one would ever see a lower back tattoo on me.
I plan on getting a full sleeve done, in due time.
I have one on my left wrist and one on my left shoulder blade. If I get another I think I’d want it on my ribs
I kinda want one on my ankle that says “Milpool”. If you watch the Simpsons, you’d know what I’m talking about.
i want them on my legs, ribs, stomach, back…
I’ve considered getting a tattoo of a cross on my wrist, in the fashion of the Coptics.
I would kinda want one on my upper neck. Or maybe on my shoulder blade.
Not in a huge rush to get one, though.
Having been a tattoo artist for some years now , I’ve had the pleasure of placing tattoos in almost every place on a womans body. The fleshy areas cause less pain than bony thin skinned areas, though they all have offered me some very pleasureable opportunities, visually and physically.
I have 3.
Pretty discreet. One on the top of my foot..basically covers the whole top of my foot. One on my right lower hipOne on my left shoulder blade. All can be covered up easily. My next will be on my left shoulder.
I have one on my wrist and I’d like a vein of stars on the other wrist and someday I’d like an interlocking NC on one arm/shoulder and a Panthers logo on the other and Tyler Hansbrough’s number 50 somewhere, I haven’t decided where yet, maybe the back of my neck or thereabouts? That probably won’t be all but I can’t think of anything else right this second.
I have three tattoos. one on my left wrist, left hip and it curls around to my back a little and one going from my bra line to my jean line on my right side. honestly, people don’t even realize i have a tattoo on my wrist half the time. people i’ve worked with for months don’t see it until later. I forget it’s there since i’ve had it for three years.
while i love tattoos, I am completely against women getting tattoos on their chest. the collarbone area and on top of the chest I just think it’s trashy and not tasteful. personally, i wouldn’t get it. i don’t want people seeing only my tattoo when they meet me. plus, if I ever decide to get married i do not want that showing out of my wedding dress.
googly eyes on my vag
Not sure yet, but my shoulder or side are my top two faves.
I’ll admit to having one semi large tattoo on my lower back…
true. mine is on my back.
