Hugging a Black Man
Charles Ramsey is a hero. He is the guy that helped the three women who were kidnapped about ten years ago escape from their kidnappers the yesterday.
He said he knew something was wrong because one of the white girls jumped into his arms. He said, “Bro. I knew something was wrong when a little pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms. Here is the link: LinkBe honest.Have you ever hugged a black man?

Well, no. But that’s because I’ve never really hugged any grown men outside my family. And my family’s white.
Yes. As the resident Black Man of Xanga, it should be obvious why.
Yes.
Yeah. There’s nothing biblical about it.
I did a lot more than hug one. He took me to paradise last night.
Yes.
Many.
I have. i do, in general though, try to avoid hugging people at all.
Yes one of my best friend growing up is black and I still get big loving bear hugs when I go back home
I want to mouth hug him. What a nice guy. I have never hugged a black man. Most people I grew up with were whities
Yes, but in general I only hug people if I “have to”. My son is the only person I hug voluntarily.
Of course. I have also hugged many other races of people as well. Race does’t matter to me. Respect and honesty is what matters.
Yes. And I generally hate hugging people.
No, but most of my African friends are warm and friendly. I think it’s a cultural thing.
I’m not a big hugger but I have. What’s the difference?
@SlickRick297 - can you be the first black guy I hug?
@Love_in_102 - He is white. I hug him sometimes. He is the person I hug the second most.
@Love_in_102 - Sure! I like hugs. I hug my wife a lot in her sleep. But I like it better when she hugs me.
Yep. I am an equal opportunity hugger.
A few times. Manly man hugs – like how was the game last weekend – sorry your mom died! That sorta thing!
I don’t hug men.
Yes indeed.
I’d hug a hero no matter the skin color.
<— is quite huggable… and knows the way to paradise.
Many times.
Black men seem to like me.
HEH.
Yes, all the time. One of my best friends is an awesome black guy.
Not that I can remember.
I have!
Was the word “bro” necessary in the quote?
Would you refuse to hug someone
because they have bad breath?
Would you refuse to hug your biggest enemy?
Would you run from someone who needs something?
If you had to pause and say something then it is too late,
Your bias is showing.
Yes the surgeon who saved my husbands life on the operating table was black and you can bet you ass I hugged him. My husband was almost dead-they were ready to give up on him-and the angel stepped in and saved him.
Of course. But I prefer not to touch other people for no good reason.
What a good man. That’s a funny comment but race is irrelevant.
Did it ever occur to anyone that this is how racism is kept
alive? That maybe she wasn’t taught or lived in a time/place where a black man
was to be feared much less hated?!?!?!
Yes. Yes I have.
^^ Knows how to bring fun to the conversation. ^^
How about just hug a man who has done the right thing. Guess that title won’t get you views will it. Typical
Yes and I’ve even hugged a Jew before.
@rickystarsplanet - Are you saying this had a provocative title on purpose, that Dan was just trying to to get attention?
Hey, nice (shirtless) profile pic. Question. Was it chosen in an effort to get attention?
Typical.
@PrincessPowers - shirtless and guess what I’m Black!
I’ve had a large black woman come up from behind me and hug and pick me up. Other than that no.
Yup.
Well, duh! Every time I get a chance to!
Yes
I don’t know about hugging a black man, because last night in the news another man came out saying that this Ramsey guy is taking credit for something he didn’t actually do. That of being a hero. Turns out another neighbor living across the street spotted this girl asking for help. It was this neighbor who actually kicked down the door and rescued the woman. So, again we are left with the question of Superman’s true identity
Yeah. Every time I hug my grandfather.
Once or twice. In a 97%+ white corner of the country, you don’t meet many people of other races and cultures, so opportunities are limited, and hugging is not something I do much anyway.
Hugged and loved a black man.
Why? Is there something unusual about that?
Hugged a huge black dude in austin, tx that was holding a free hugs sign 2 months ago, otherwise no, I don’t know many black guys though.
Of course! I have the honor of being a member of a very ethnic/racially/culturally diverse family.
Man you ask this question the same way you would ask someone if they’ve ever done parkour or been snowboarding, surfing, bungee jumping, rock climbing, hang-gliding, parachuting, camping, hunting, ect. Wow! I now feel like an extreme sport or something!
But hey, if you haven’t, go ahead and hug-a-brotha. It may save your life one day. : )
Yep.
black guys be winning!
if someone has a big enough impact on me that I want to hug them, they’re gonna get hugged without a thought to their race. its a damn shame that seemingly good people like Mr. Ramsey make stupid comments like that.
This post almost sound troll-ish.
We are not color-blind, and we will see people with different skin color.
However, we shouldn’t treat people based on their skin color. Other factors? Possibly.
I think media is so scare of mentioning skin color that they don’t even mention the skin color of possible suspects anymore.
To answer the OP question, I have hug people of all colors (maybe not an albino yet, because I don’t know one personally).
Well I could easily change what he said to fit me; “Bro. I knew something
was wrong with a little pretty white girl ran into an old fart’s arms”. It typically is unusual for people to run
into a stranger’s arms. I think it is
interesting the individuals in this story needed to have their skin color
discussed.
I do when I see my stepdad..and a bunch of my friends. I wasn’t aware that anything had to be wrong for me to want to hug my family/friends no matter what color their skin happens to be.
Yes, but my city has quiet a lot of black people. It’s really the same to me.
like Todd said I’m stunned that a student can profit $7314 in four weeks on the computer. have you read this site link http://www.rev24.com
thx for information
nice . .like this
Im from indonesian
furniture jati , meja makan , lemari pakaian , kursi tamu
Not since high school wrestling.
After reading this, I went out and tried to hug a bunch of random black men. It did not go well for me. Looking back, chasing them around screaming “COME HERE,BLACK MAN! IT”S HUGGIN’ TIME!!!” was probably not the best approach.
No one is going to vilify him as a stereotyping bigot??
Funny how that works, I guess.
The last time I hugged a black woman she wrapped her shapely legs around me and squeezed me until I went, “POP!”
Yep, I’ve hugged several black men in my day.
i think i must have hugged a black man in my life…but i dont remember hugging a white american man though…
Not really but several of my friends are black men…we are just not the hugging type…a simple handshake is fine.
actually the only man I’ve hugged outside of boyfriends and family was a black guy. lol
I’ve given man-hugs to lots of friends of all ethnicities. I have also hugged women of all ethnicities.
Sure, lots of times.
Bahaha his interview was so hilarious. I have never hugged a black man purely because I don’t know any… waittt actually I did hug a half black guy (he is aboriginal) that’s as close as it gets lol
yes. friends and patients.
Zero relevance to the significance of what actually happened here.
Unsubscribing…
oh yeah. Black men LOVE me
)
First of all the guy turns out to be a liar about the circumstances of what happened. It was actually an hispanic male who does not even speak English who kicked in the front door enough for the girls to escape. This guy showed up after the fact. The Hispanic male was interviewed on CNN last night and does not even want to be in the spotlight. This guy is a loud spotlight grabber and the Hispanic male is the real but quiet hero.
Yes. And I live in Alabama.
Yes.
Yes, I have many times, but I do see his point. Regardless of race, I don’t anticipate running up and hugging any random guy.
I have. I agree that I would hug a hero, regardless of his skin color. A hero is a hero, in my eyes.
