  • Man Gives Pregnant Girlfriend Abortion Pill

A man gave his pregnant girlfriend an abortion pill.  He pretended it was an antibiotic.  The fetus died.

Now out of nowhere, he is being charged for murder.  Here is the link:  Link
Now we know from the experts that the pill is harmless to the woman.
Is it fair to charge a man for murder when all he gave the woman was a harmless abortion pill?

  • Assault? Maybe so, and that would go regardless of the medication administered. Murder? Absolutely not. Nor should killing a pregnant woman be considered a double homicide. Abortion is legal and a fetus has not attained sentience and is thus not morally significant. Not to mention, it was spared an earthly existence (which would have been bad for it), and that definitely is NOT a bad thing.

  • You’ll hear a lot of contradictions from pro choicers on this.

  • Yes. This is premeditated murder of their unborn child -and- tampering with medication/forging a signature on top of it.

  • What he did was pretty fucked up.

After reading the link, that just pisses me off. What a fucking douchebag.

  • should he be charged with murder? absolutely not. should he be locked away for a very long time? most definitely. for the record, I’m pro-choice.

AND OF COURSE IT HAD TO BE SOMEONE FROM TAMPA. good thing I don’t know him.

  • No. He should not be charged with murder.

  • He probably only wanted to get out of child support, and so he committed murder. Plus a few other crimes. He got out of child support but traded likely the rest of his life for it. Oh, well. I feel no pity for him.

  • No, it was the woman’s stupidity that killed the fetus.

  • I think this link gives some more detail on this story, such as the age of the fetus and how that can change the charges for a crime such as this.

Anyway, I find it funny that I can see a blog title, guess what one comment (*coughcoughsecretbeerreporter*) will say, and be correct. Xanga, thank you for your odd entertainment.

  • Harmless? What about her mental health after finding this out?
Also he lied and said it was an antibiotic and then the ‘fetus’ died. He ended a life.

  • She was only 6 weeks along, so no. He definitely should be thrown in jail though.

  • Per the link:

“John Andrew Welden, 28, of Tampa…”

I thought they only used middle names for serial killers. Has he forced her to have an abortion before?

  • Not murder, in any sense. Underhanded and ruthless as hell, sure. Not sure what you’d charge him with though. Possession of a controlled substance? How the fuck did he even get his hands on it?

  • @secretbeerreporter - Your mother didn’t abort you, but it’s never too late to remedy that error. There are several knives in your kitchen, Lynn. Any would do.

Visited your site earlier today. I see your rating problem was fixed. Any idea who did it?

  • @Pure_Taint - his dad’s a doctor and he wrote out a RX for the pill and forged his dad’s signature.

  • Holy crap. I can’t even touch this one. That’s horrible.

  • No. I’ve told two women to swallow a Plan B pill and they did. It isn’t murder. I say as long as it doesn’t have a conscience and exist out of the womb there is no foul. Sure this guy is a douche for not telling but that doesn’t constitute murder. But he should be flogged.

  • He should be charged with something like ‘forcing an abortion’ if the charge exists, and bodily harm.

  • @Love_in_102 - Not at all. I only commented that to expand the discussion and to be an asshole

  • Are you freaking serious if the guy didnt want to have a kid right then he should of told his girlfriend. Instead of faking the pill to be antibiotics. And they should of talked it out in the first place. Before he even did that. So that they could come to an understanding of what to do. Instead of doing that to his girlfriend. And he has no right to choose for his girlfriend on what they should of done with the baby if it was her choice to do it then let it be. But if it wasnt then he has no right of doing that to her. They should of talked it out. And he should go to jail.

  • If he did that to one of mine, I’d consider burying him on a beach.

  • So, a baby in the womb is only considered human when it works to somebody’s advantage right? Just as it’s only considered a fetus when it’s convenient.

  • Politics aside, this guy is a terrible person. These are the people we gotta thin out.

  • depraved indifference…what an ass hat.

  • I think he’s a terrible person, and undeserving of any relationship with a woman ever.

  • that is a bad boy you don’t want your daughter to meet up with.

  • Murder?  Maybe!  Maybe not!  His girlfriend said she wanted to keep the baby despite his desire that she have an abortion.  That counts toward the murder side of the equation.  How far along she was may be a mitigating factor.  That aside, this guy is gonna pay for his crimes: writing perscription without a license is a felony; tampering with a perscription label is a felony; possible assult on his girlfriend.  Oh yeah!  This guy is gonna pay.

  • @TrappedFantasy - You should be flogged.  Along with anyone else who thinks a fetus is morally insignificant.

  • @Mr_Exer - lol win. See he thought he could sit all cozy with people bashing me and I knew in due time people will go back to hating him and his negative views on life.  IDK who the heck Lynn thinks he is really.  The woman should sue the man for emotional distress and any medical bills or something.  This is more costly for the man than paying child support, lmao.

  • Brooke. I see what you mean… Scott`s c0mment is impressive, last thursday I bought a gorgeous Nissan GT-R: since getting a cheque for $6110 recently and just a little over $10,000 this past-month. with-out a doubt this is the nicest job I’ve ever done. I started this three months/ago and pretty much immediately started to bring in over $71 per hour. I follow the details on this straightforward website, http://www.rev24.com

  • Well he lied and told her that it was an antibiotic when surprise it’s an abortion pill. Probably didn’t want a kid in the first place so this was his plan to not have a kid.

  • I’d not go as far as murder but yeah, some sort of punishment should be in order. Is that a true story that he is being charged with murder? :0

  • Oh boy, indeed…

    Sheeesh…

  • Only if we can charge abortion providers with murder too.  You can’t have it both ways pro-choicers.

  • He should be charged with something, but I’m not sure it should be “murder.” He definitely belongs in jail, though. Evil man.

  • @Mr_Exer - He’ll never do it because he didn’t get any sympathy when he faked it the first time.

  • @xinq - He’s a men’s right activist, that should tell you everything you need to know.

  • Harmless? Evidently not since it killed the fetus. What this man did was definaty premeditated but I wouldn’t call it murder. I think his girlfriend should definaty reexami e their relationship. He is not to be trusted

  • He willfully ended a human life. I would say that qualifies as murder.

  • @thegunslingergirl -  I second this comment.

  • it depends how far along she was. after around 3 months abortions are illegal and murdering pregnant women is a double homicide. but he should get in trouble for lying to her

  • I don’t know all the legal stuff in regards to it, but I do think murder is a tad harsh. I do think he should be charged with something just because he lied to his girlfriend about it being an antibiotic and the fetus died. She didn’t make that choice herself, he made it for her. So, I do believe he should be charged with something.

  • Fascinating.  A woman that gets pregnant can get an abortion without the father’s consent or knowledge, at least in the U.S. of A.  (There are countries that do not allow that.)  So the woman has complete control over the pregnancy.  This man decided to end the pregnancy without the woman’s consent but without killing the mom (unlike Scott Peterson), and people are outraged.  Pro-lifers obviously have a much easier time making a moral judgement on this issue……..

  • I’m confused… the boyfriend gave her an abortion pill, with the intention of killing a healthy, viable fetus. How is that

    1. Harmless? A healthy baby WAS killed

    2. NOT murder, since the fetus was healthy, viable, and intentionally killed?

I’m no pro-life advocate, but I just don’t see how this is even a question.

  • I’d say he should be charged with a crime similar to that of raping a child or a virgin- he not only violated her body, but killed a sacred part of her which cannot be replaced.  I don’t think it’s legislatively consistent to charge him with murder while abortion would have otherwise been legally permissible for her to do.  Similar to killing farm animals, it can’t be murder if the fetus doesn’t have any rights.

    @SlickRick297 - I
don’t get the impression that the pregnancy had gone on long enough to
be viable.  Usually, the abortion pill (as opposed to surgical
procedure) can only be effectively administered within the first
    month- maybe two- of pregnancy.

  • What a horrible thing to do.  No, he should not be charged with murder, but he should definitely pay a high price for fraudulently drugging the woman and ruining her plans/having no respect for her decision and her authority.  He’s a rotten criminal.

  • @SlickRick297 - That wasn’t a baby.

  • @TrappedFantasy - get your facts straight. the Plan B pill and the abortion pill are two completely different things.

  • It can’t go both ways. If the woman can’t be charged with anything against the fetus for taking the pill, then the man can’t be charged with anything against the fetus for giving the girlfriend the pill.

He should be charged for some sort of deception because he mislead her about the pill, but she’s a grown woman and still took it willingly. He didn’t put it in her mouth.
Besides, she didn’t conceive that fetus unilaterally.

  • I don’t think he should be charged with murder, but he definitely should be charged with something. This is deplorable.

  • I think I saw this on Law and Order
