Myspace and Facebook
I have read a few articles that have touched on the issue of the social status of those on Myspace and Facebook. The basic idea is that Myspace now tends to draw people on the lower scale of the socio-economic scale.
Facebook, on the other hand, tends to draw people on the higher side of the social scale. They tend to draw kids that are going to college and are in honors classes. Here is the link: Link
Does Facebook draw a crowd that is higher in social class than Myspace?

A mushroom walks into a bar. The bartender says, "We don't serve your kind here." The mushroom, replies, "Heyy, I'm a fun guy."
Yes and no. Most people have both.
Yes, facebook keeps 90% of the Emo's out.
'nuff said...
i find that all the people who are on facebook are those annoying preppy chicks from my bio classes who think facebook is a "grownup myspace".
but everyone else has one too.
i do. i hateee it!
I like facebook because it connects me with my real life friends a lot more. It's not really for meeting new people, like myspace is, but for getting to know the people you're already acquainted with a lot better.
I have facebook and myspace, and they are both ok. The only thing that makes facebook seem higher class is that it is (or started out as) more exclusive. But it's nothing to rave about.
And yeah, Xanga's tons better than either!
