Too Fat for Jail
A woman who weighs approximately 1000 pounds is accused of killing her two-year-old nephew.
The problem is that they can't get her out of her front door and to court. The sheriff has said they can't keep her in jail because of her extensive medical problems. So she is currently just staying at home. Here is the link: Link
Do you think the government should spend the extra money to jail the woman when she can't move anyway?

The death penalty might be fun.
Put her in a cell with an 1800 calorie diet and i guarantee justice will be served one way or another....
she pretty much already is in jail. she can't move, she can't leave. she is already bound. i think that may be jail enough for her.
Yes, spend the money, but make a Broadway Musical of the whole affair and get the costs back that way.

I mean, it's not like she got up and went after him. A 1 yr old could have outrun her crawling. At 1000lbs. she'd have to have an accomplice unless she just rolled over on him and even then, who would leave a child near something like that, they might get hungry!!

I hope she doesn't go to jail and she just wallows around her tiny apartment, unable to experience life at all, and she realizes that it's not the law keeping her from it, it's her own poor decisions that ruined her.

What I don't get: If she weighs that much, is she mobile enough to kill someone?
They should at least place restrictions on who can see her and such. Maybe pay someone to be in her house and make sure she only eats so much or something. There has to be some form of punishment and if she ever lost enough weight, then she could stand trial...
