Recommending Protected and Friend Lock Posts
Do you think we should be able to recommend posts that are protected or on friend lock?

No, it's a bit frustrating to get these.
No.
xo
No.
No, because a lot of people won't even be able to read them so it's pointless.Â
No. It's locked or protected for a reason.
No. I really, really hate clicking on a recommended post and seeing the friends lock or protected notice.,
Not protected, but sure for on friends lock. People need to be less scared to request friendship.
no
No, and it's an even stronger no for protected posts. (On the other hand, there still needs to be a way to make protected posts more visible.)
I dont think it's a question of whether you should be able to or not, but what the fuck for? If the person has it protected and with friends lock, obviously they dont want people reading their stuff.. so why bother? I never understood the reasoning behind that.. It's stupid and it should STOP!!!
Obviously not
NO. If they wanted it everyone to read it, they would make it public. I know I've rec'd something on a site that I forgot was friends protected. That feature should be disabled if the post is protected because I, and I'm sure others, find it frustrating to see rec's that we can't go to.
I think you should be able to... But it would be nice if since I couldn't view it, it didn't show up on my screen. I mean, if it's protected maybe the rec would only go out to other people who have access to the post, and if it's friends locked, it would only go out to their friends. I understand why people use these tools. It's not necessarily just so not everyone can see them.. it's to moderate who actually reads them. I know that when I want a specific few people to read things, I make it a protected post, and usually message them. I know if I went friends lock, I would do it just so I could keep an eye on the people who were reading my blog. I don't think that they should not be able to have their posts rec'ed just because of how they post and how much privacy/control they want over their readers.
sure, if people are willing to take their posts off protected/friends lock so they can be shared with a larger audience.
If you're subbed and friends with someone, you may not realize they're on friends lock, so I don't get worked up about those recs. Protected posts should not be rec'd.
I don't care, but it is annoying when I get recs to which I can't go.
non.
No, I don't see the point. If it's friend locked that means they want their friends to see it so why recommend it if it comes up on their friends homepage anyway?
no - i think they are protected for a reason.
@AmusedYetConfused - If they wanted the posts to be read, they wouldn't be on FL or Protected in the first place.
No.
I'm going to go with a no.
Protected seems silly, but I agree with Saintvi that we might not know if we are friends that they are on friends' lock. It doesn't bother me that much but is a bit strange.
I dislike even people that comment on my site with friends lock... if you want to be locked in your own little bubble, GTFO my site.
It annoys me when alot of peoples xangas are locked...
Its like okay? and than you try and add them to read there post and they dont add you back.
idk whatever..i cant do anything about it...
