Michael Jackson Death Photo
A little controversy has surrounded the publishing of Michael Jackson's "death photo."
"Ok" magazine reportedly paid $500,000 for the photo so they could place it on the cover of their magazine. Entertainment Tonight released the same basic photo. Here is the link: Link
Do you think it is inappropriate to publish Michael Jackson's death photo?

Kind of.
Celebrities don't have privacy even in death. It's like they're the property of the general public.
Meh.
What an awful thing.....this makes me really really sad.
Yes. I can't imagine how the family must feel...if he's actually dead in this shot, that's just terrible. Where do we draw the line?
yes
Yea.. nobody would want that or give permission for it. His family is probably outraged.
@lizzie_wizzie - I'm sure his family is cashing in on it.....did you hear his parents wanted to charge $25 a head at his funeral? It's just so sad that they are so money hungry.
Whatever, the public has snapshots of his whole life, why not his death too?
Do you really think he cares at this point?
i'm not surprised, but i never feel quite prepared.
yeah thats def wrong, no matter who it is
over the top in life and death...it is fitting
he's a celebrity. as a celebrity you kind of sign up for invasion of privacy even when dead.Â
I can't wait for the 24 hour coverage of Michael Jackson's coffin. Woohoo!
That is so wrong. He should be able to get some peace for once, he didn't have any peace for his last few years of life. He deserves peace in death at least.
:( I don't think it's fair. He looks so...gone.
I'd like to remember him as the lively performer he once was. Seriously, can we at least give some privacy?
Not even that, but just show some plain old decency.
It isn't something I want to see... Is it inappropriate... I'm having a hard time deciding on this one... they published pics of Lincoln's dead body... Jessie James was totted around in his coffin for anyone to pay to peek at... Is this so different?
It was inappropriate to TAKE the photo in the first place.
that makes me so unbelieveably sad.
i don't like it, but i don't think you can really do anything about it.
Depends if Micheal gave permission. They should ask.
@saintvi - agreed. definitely inappropriate. makes me sick thinking of someone standing there taking the picture, only thinking about making money off of it...
It is inappropriate
That makes me sad. :(
Poor guy.
No, it was his decision to be in the public spotlight.
I think so. He should at least have some respect and privacy in death.
