Showing Photos of Yourself
I have been taking off the weight pretty quickly. I am no longer aiming for abs of steel. I am simply aiming for the thin look. I can tell a big difference in my appearance.
So it won't be long before I post a photo of my abs on my site.
I was talking to a friend and she said that once you post photos of yourself like that on your site, no one will take you seriously anymore.
Do you think people stop taking you seriously if you post photos of your stomach?

No, but I think sometimes they just stop caring about what you have to say, because they're only thinking about your physical appearance.

I posted pics of my stomach post tummy tuck and I dont know if anyone thought I was any more of a skank then they did before the pictures.. It's a win/win if you do it Dan.. You might get more respect.. I dont see you really doing it though.

I do believe after you posted that picture of me without a shirt I got myself a few dozen chick subs...who never comment on anything but posts wherein there's a picture of me. OH GOD I'VE BEEN DEVAULUED AND OBJECTIFIED

It depends on the context. If you're being narcissistic, then no one will take you seriously. It sounds like your reason--that you're losing weight--is okay, though.
I'd also have some great abs too...even though I'd have to put the keg away :P

i'd consider it humanizing in a sense. it's unrealistic for people to put up a front that they are not concerned with their physical appearance, and being concerned with it doesn't make someone superficial. if you're proud of your progress, why not show it?
