Giving Up Your Facebook Password
I was reading an article about how some employers have asked people being interviewed for their facebook password.
In some cases, potential employers have had people open up their facebook account and click through photos and other facebook information. Here is the link: Link
Imagine you went into an interview and you were being offered a job making $40,000 a year.
Would you give your potential employer your facebook password?

I make half that amount and I'd still say no.
I would walk out.. Or say that I don't have an account.
I've created a fake Facebook profile for this very occasion.....!
Is there a law that potential employees must have Facebook accounts? No employer should ask for a password, but at the very least any employer that would want to do that should first prove to the applicant that they have found that applicant on Facebook. And privacy-conscious people do not ever use their real names on Facebook or any other "playful" internet site. Real names are for real business.
I have nothing to conceal, sure!
I have two facebooks, for this reason. A professional and then one with my alias name. =)
if they want to view it, i'll log in myself. there's no need for them to know my password.
Absolutely not. It none of their business asking for my password, now if they would like to see my locked FAcebook then I'd show them that but I wouldn't give my password to anyone for any reason. Plus, its a potential employer, so if you give him the password, he doesn't hire you and weird stuff is happening on your page? Then what.
