I personally think Sandra Fluke is adorable.
I usually don't like short hair but it is a perfect look for her.
One thing that Sandra said in her testimony was that birth control cost $3000 over three years.
Now I was watching Sean Hannity and he said a person could get birth control pills for $9 a month. I have heard so many conflicting reports.
I do know from personal experience that extra large condoms cost more.
Now we never used the pill so I really don't know the truth here.
So lets ask the ladies.
How much does your birth control pill cost a month?

Never been on BC so have no clue!
don't know about pills, but my method (abstinence) is free
Mine costs 20 a month with insurance.
I'm on the pill. With health insurance, it was $60 a month from 16 years old to 21 years old. Through my school and health insurance, it's $70 per year. So with health insurance prior to the past two years, the most I was paying was over $700 a year for the pill. Not cheap. Much happier with my $70 per year deal.
I get a generic brand for my prescription, but with insurance it's $10.00. Without insurance is $30.00. She didn't have insurance.
I don't use BC but my daughters BC is around 200 every three months - they come in a 90 day pack. However she's married so no condom needed. Unmarried women, the smart ones anyway, are using the pill plus condoms & some even toss in spermicide "just in case". Then, of course, one needs lube so the condom doesn't ouch so much and condom friendly lube is expensive. I think I'll just stick with being a recycled virgin.
Less than a baby, duh!
I pay $12 a month with insurance for the pill. If you don't want knocked up, $144 a year seems like a fair price.
@TheTheologiansCafe - You responded to a comment on your blog?!! Who are you and what did you do to Dan?!
Extra small condoms aren't extra large condoms, contrary to popular belief.
Now, nothing because my husband and I are trying to conceive. When I was on birth control, I used pills that cost $10 to $15 a month with insurance. I did research how much it would be without insurance, it was $60 to $90 a month for the particular types I've used. Yikes.
Mine cost me $80 a year. I don't take it for birth control purposes, my doctor recommended it as a treatment to regulate my hormones for another health issue I have.
If I didn't have insurance it would cost me $640, and when I wasn't on insurance I did pay that. It sucked. I'm so thankful my university offers excellent health insurance for their graduate students.
Mine was 30 a month.
It used to be $20 a month, but my insurance at work switched and I pay about $2 a month. Regardless if it's $2 or $20, it's worth it to me.
About $5 for 3 months =]
woah! I pay $30 for 3 months worth of the evra patch. But... I'm also in Canada.
$5 a month if I get my pills from a drug store. It'd be free if I did that mail order stuff, but with probably moving often it seems like more trouble than it's worth. I'm hoping to get the arm birth control (implanon). Not really sure how much the process would cost.
not my kid, my pastor's adopted baby.
women find me repulsive so even if i wanted to change methods, i'd still be using abstinence.
$12, but I am okay with using the cheapest one. Other women aren't so lucky and need more expensive contraception for medical reasons.
If men pay thirty dollars for a hooker is there any guarantee that he won't catch a STD? The ability to not get pregnant is sort of priceless.
Notice Theo Da()n makes hints on short hair and hints on his size. What does that say about his impartiality? He is not impartial and tries too hard to promote his side of the coin.
Men reap the benefit of birth control pills too. Why should woman only have to pay the price of contraceptives. A gentleman should contribute to the fund to pay for contraceptives and if the woman does show side effects from the pill, men should be forced to use rubbers or get a vas deferens operation.
What is the cost of an operation for men? Should men get a subsidy to offset the cost of an operation to fix his sperm tubes? Supposedly an operation is permanent and to unfix it may not be an option.
I do know from personal experience that extra large condoms cost more.
Extra large? That's funny Dan!
a kick to the balls is the cheapest form of birth control
