Will They Forget You When You Are Dead?
I was reading an article about how qr codes are now being put on headstones. You can simply scan it with your smartphone and you can find out all about the person's life. The thinking is that people want these because they don't want everyone to forget them when they are gone. Here is the link: LinkAre you afraid that everyone will forget you when you are gone?

No way. I would much rather be forgotten!
Fearing will make it worse...and forgetting will happen for sure..we have to embrace the inevitable..
I can't say that's been one of my fears; there are so many better things to be afraid of. This seems like a silly fad. Acid rain will eat away the headstone before anyone is interested enough to research the person buried under it.
I'd only want to be remembered if I do something worth remembering.
No, I don't even want a grave. There's no point in it. All the people I care about will die around within an extra lifetime of mine. I think graveyards take up too much space.
Pretty sure that the ones who truly love me, won't forget me. Once they're all dead, then sure! lol We'll all be "forgotten" one day, when all the ones who remember us are gone too!
no I don't care if they forget me cause they probably will all be dead before I am.
forget or remember. I won't care I'll be in the presence of Christ...he doesn't forget those he has made his own.
If someone is dead why do they care about other people remembering them? When I die I want to give back and have my wrinkly body stitched and stuffed into a toy for a necro.
First off, I'm not getting that dumb code thing on my headstone.
I don't think I'm afraid people will forget me when I'm gone/dead. I've been forgotten at several stages in my life already and it's been "meh". Plus, when I'm dead, there isn't really much I can do beyond the grave for people to remember me :P
with the way i've related to most people, im HOPING they'll forget me
OMG theres a reason I clear my search history before I leave the house... LMAO
No, because when you are dead I'm sure you won't care. lol
ITs get the dirt on the dead! Pun intended! HA!
I'm afraid they will forget me while I'm still here.
Weird way to make sure a person is remembered. I really don't know if I am or not. These questions have not exactly came to my mind yet. I don't think that people will forget me though.
Oh hell I am still alive and they forgot me.
I'm unforgettable.
the ones who truly love you WILL NOT! (:
@saintvi - Oh! Listen to you! We were traipsin around that graveyard lookin at stones, Miss Acid Rain girl!
D., this is a profound question. I suppose I should like to be remembered for a good deed. Then again, I'm quite fond of retelling some of my deceased friends and family's stories. Reckon that smartphone thing is a neat idea.....until the Acid Rain destroys it!!
i hope they do
I can honestly say I've never thought about this. Honestly I don't care if people forget me. Wild idea for tombstones.
All I care about is if I'm remembered in a positive light. I hope to have left a lasting impression that I was a good person.
Interesting. I am positive my children will remember me. If I go before Rick, he says he won't be long after, so I know he will remember me. The rest of the world barely even knows I'm here, and won't miss a beat when I'm gone. However, God knows my every thought and has recorded my every good deed, forgotten every bad one, and has me a brand new name waiting. And that along with my knowledge of heaven, makes me long for that day.
Oh dear... like when I'm dead I'm gonna care if people forget me. People are so conceited these days.
