Your Class Ring
My parents offered to get me a Letterman Jacket or a class ring. I did not want either one. (This post was inspired by Jordon).I think in both of my undergraduate degree and graduate degree I was given a free class ring.I never wore my class ring.Did you ever wear your class ring?

NEVER it comes across as pompous except on old greaser men.
Don't have one. I did buy a coin for where I work. (It is now my designated poker card-protector.)
Never had one. I wore my Mom's though because we had the same ring size.
I wear my ring from Texas A&M but getting your Aggie ring is considered a big deal and most students get them.
Yes, but mine was very subtle, like this: http://www.jostens.com/rings/galleries/highschool-rings/alt_signature-chante-s56_lg.jpg only it is aquamarine and doesn't say Laurie.
I got a cheap class ring from Wal-Mart for high school. I think I wore it through my first semester of college then tucked it away in my box of old jewellery. I made the smart choice of not getting a college ring four years later.
Never got or wore either of the rings. I intended to get a college ring, but it wasn't the time for me.
When I was a junior in high school, my school choir went to Italy. My family didn't have much money, but I promised my parents I'd work hard at all the fundraisers and give up the senior class trip and my class ring in order to go. Best deal I ever made. I went to New York City, Rome, Florence and Venice. The next year, we moved to a tiny town in Arkansas and the senior class trip was to Kansas City. I was the only one who didn't go, and the only one who didn't get a ring and I didn't feel like I missed out on anything at all. I've always thought traditional class rings (which is all that was offered in my day) were ugly anyway.
I only had a high school class ring, and I wore it for 2 years; senior high school and freshman year of college. I earned my letterman jacket (also high school) my freshman year, for earning 15 merits through band.
I wear my college class ring. My finger would feel weird without it. I didn't get a letterman jacket in high school even though I qualified because I'm not much of a jacket person.
I wear my college class ring from time to time, but now I most often wear my deceased father's college class ring.
nope, finger taken by the engagement and wedding rings :P
I only got one in high school and wore it for a short time mostly because everybody did.
I actually used to wear my high school one, classically because everybody else was. It was a subtle pretty one. Never bought a college ring, good thing too because I would never wear it.
Bought one in high school, then declines in college I think, and then got one in grad school. I think they are pretty worthless. Also, got a free Letterman jacket but you can only wear it for one or two years, cause after high school wearing one is just lame, lol
I never got one. I was homeschooled.
Actually, sometimes I do. My high school one, that is. I graduated college but didn't get a ring.
I never got the point of either.
I will wear it when I get it. no point in buying something if you never use it.
No, I never bought a class ring or letterman jacket. I think I will in college because it will actually mean something.
I got a jacket and a bracelet for high school. I got the jacket because I finally felt i could do something better than my brother. He never qualified for one. And because I was getting it in the fall, I knew I would have all winter to wear it. I wore it for a couple of years after high school. After that, personality changed and I invested in a trench coat. Still wear the trench coat.
When I was a senior, Jostens was offering bracelets along with rings. I opted for a bracelet instead because I was involved with so much, and I felt I could put everything I did on there. I would wear it but it broke and I just never got it fixed.
I did get a college ring. I felt it is something I can wear through out my life. I wear it everyday. (even have the tan line) partly because I still attend the school.
Kinda weird that you post this. I was just talking about my high school class ring a few hours ago, saying that if it wasn't from HS, I'd totally still wear it. I wore mine for years and it was my favorite piece of jewelry. Mine was dainty and had custom bits and my birth stone so it was pretty cool. I graduated just short of 10 years ago though... I think it'd be weird to try rocking' it now. Still like it.
When I graduated college my mom said she would either get me a class ring or a new phone. I picked the phone. Hunk of metal that plays angry birds > hunk of metal that sits on your finger and does nothing.
I got one a few weeks ago for my Master's degree. It's not huge and bulky, though. Very subtle. And in it are two scriptures to keep me humble; and not let the success go to my head.
