A contest is held every year to identify the World’s Ugliest Dog. One dog had won three straight years until he died last November. He is Sam.

I usually find “ugly” dogs to be cute, in a morbid way.
But…but not in Sam’s case.

Sam is definately the ugliest. But, in an article I read last year after his death, his owner rescued him from a shelter, I think, and she claimed he was the nicest dog she ever met and owned. Poor thing truly did get the short end of the stick.

Wow…I actually work in the kennel of a pet store, and so I work with small dogs all the time. So I’m kind of sensitive to dogs, and well, I saw that and…now I’m just confused and disturbed. Sam may forever haunt my nightmares now.
