Clothing
I realize that now days the clothing I wear is not the most comfortable clothing available. I have to dress up for work. But even in my off time, I have found myself dressing up.
Would you rather look good in your clothing or be comfortable?

Most deffinately being comfy.
Be comfortable. Dressing up is okay occasionally, but I prefer being comfortable.
Comfy. But not sloppy either.
It depends on the situation. If I’m with friends or staying in at home not doing much, then being comfortable. If I’m going out, you’d better hold on to your boyfriends.
Well I always look good in what I wear, and all my clothing is comfy….even my 3″ heels! <3rachel
Comfy. I don’t car how messy I look. Since I’m a messy person anyway
Look good.
comfortable…
While pregnant, comfy. Otherwise, looking good.
I’d like to look good comfortably.
It is possible.
Actually, dressing up really doesn’t bug me that much.
depends on the situation. if i’m just sitting around, then i’ll wear pajamas. but most of the time when i go out, i don’t wear things that are ugly and comfortable.
Both.
Be comfortable.
Yes.
I’m with Jill…at home I like being comfortable. In public all I care about is turning a couple heads…or more than a couple.
Both.
comfortable…
public-good home-comfy.. but i’d much rather have the best of both worlds..
i look better when i feel comfortable…even if i look like i’m not comfortable in 4 inch heels running around the bleak white halls…i’m comfortable when i look better…which makes me feel more comfortable…
so, uh…yeah…
(sleep deprived…ha!)
I’m both, motherfuckers.
I’m Mr. DMV and I’m aaaallll class.
what he said.
as I like to say,
function over fashion.
but not all the time.
look good.
tad of both
both.
Well, I’d like to _think_ that I look good in comfortable clothing…but, honestly, it’s comfort over vanity. Always.
My good looking clothing is confortable, but if I must choose then comfort wins.
comfortable
I try to find a comfortable middle. I wanna look good while still being comfortable.
~Emily~
If possible, I like to find things that can go for both…. but most times I just go for comfortable regardless.
i would rather to tell the truth look god, but i manage to sort of look decent and stay comforatable so im all good…….
i suck at spellin by the way
comfort.
i know your not supposed to answer questions like this, but i would wear something that looked good and was comfortable. being comfortable is number one, always, but i also will probably not wear it if it didn’t look good.
If it is an occasion that requires formal dress then I will look good. If it is not then I will deffinently go for comfort.
comfy, not trashy or anything, but comfy… Unless I’m going somewhere important… In that case, definitely dress up!
Comfy and good looking.
COMFORT!!!!
I am no fashion diva, but I’ll tell you Sweetie, I feel real comfortable everywhere I go. If I can’t dress comfortably to go someplace, I don’t go.
I’m not letting a bunch of investors, advertisers, and fashion designers dictate what I can and cannot wear. It’s my life not theirs.
Of course, if they make something I like (which they sometimes do) I buy it.
Both, haha. I dunno.
-Jared
Comfy. I answer phones all day long and write letters. Office policy be damned. There is no need for me to be dressed up. Besides… they don’t pay me enough to afford to look like a fashion plate.
You can dress up and still be comfortable.
Look good.
Both……and I have mastered the ability to do so, Daniel! And so should you! It IS possible; try it and you will see.
I choose comfort
I’d like to have both but there are days that I only want to be comfortable… like today when I woke up with a cold.
In public: Look Good
At home: Be comfortable
My wardrobe is a nice mixture of both
comfortable. i also dont care if it matches or not. usually jeans and a t shirt and sandals work for me.
I’m looking good. Always. I find myself looking too dressy sometimes.
-Guru on the Hill
why can’t you have both?
i’d rather be naked. *and i’m not just being kinky.* thats the way God intended it to be, anyway.
Be comfortable, that’s why I’m thankful that I’m at a job where my dress code is jeans and a t-shirt
im a both person
i try to have both cuz there are days i dont care too much about looking good
but there are others when i do wanna
at home its not nesicarry though
id rather be comfy!
Comfortable, cuz I always look good anyways. Haha.
comfortable – but who’s to say comfortable doesn’t look good?
I try to do both, but looking good is more important if I’m out in public most times.
God save me from fat men in sweatpants and button shirts! SHIVER!
COMFORTABLE. I’m just so cool, that I can be comfortable and still look cool. Yesss
I look better when I ‘m comfortable.
In public look good, at home be comfy.
Look good while I can
you’re only young once
Comfy if I’m just around the house but otherwise, look good. And sometimes comfy, depending. Sometimes both! Wow.
Look good!!
look good,I care what people thin of me(I know that sounds really bad but it’s the truth,I’m afraid of looking dumb)
why do people always say dress pants are uncomfortable?!? But I like to dress up and be comfortable!
It depends on the situation. I dress business casual for work and meetings with vendors, but on my time I dress as comfy as possible. Mostly hockey jerseys, Football jerseys, Ben Davis shirts and baggy pants.
im in to comfort.
if i could have it my way i would be in PJs all day long.
Look good in comfortable clothing.
In the best of all possible worlds I’d look good AND be comfortable.
But if I have to be a bit un-comfortable in order to wear what puts people around me at ease, then others’ comfort is worth a little discomfort on my part.
Clothing is not about me. It’s about what I think of others.
both, if possible.
I’d rather be comfy, but sometimes I get an insane urge to dress incredibly snazzy. Not the most comfortable, but it satisfies my craving
comfort all the way
probably both…
Both. I prefer to be comfortable, but within limits. I am not required to wear a coat and tie at work, but I do. It comes with the position. I am not bitter about this, though I’d rather just wear a nice polo. I work with executives at a headquarters. I’m glad I wear a coat & tie every single time I’m called away from my desk and have to interface with them. It shows respect, and that I take my job seriously. After work, I wear comfortable, yet clean and neat clothes. Pressed shirts just look better, yet are still very confortable. I think it does a disservice to blanket statment this one.
to comment on the saying u switched to islam thingy….every one bravely said they would stick true to their religion and not wsay they switch to islam…but how do they kow waht they woudl do unles they had guns in their faces and were being held in gaza? really. i’d like to say no i would stay true to america. but ithink i’d piss my pants first. so who knows
Both
look good.
When I look good, I feel good.
Comfortable. I have no one I need to impress.
how does one “look good”. Who decides which clothing styles are hot or not?? “Style” is so arbitrary and no one’s style is any better than the other’s.
That having been said, I usually dress in a “normal” way that most people like, but only because I just so happen to also like the clothing. But I also make sure I’m comfortable.
Comfy. But I don’t feel comfy when I’m sloppy. So I’d pretty much wear jeans and a fited tee shirt all the time, which is livable.
Clothes suck, but I’d rather be comfortable.
comfy
comfortable…Smile
COMFORT for me… I have a very laid back personality when it comes to clothing…
comfortably. you should see my school pictures…
Depends on where I’m going… and who I’m going with
look good
I rather look comfortable but I will wear something good if it is reasonably comfortable.
I was getting blisters in my new heels at work yesterday and I was complaining about it.
All of the girls that heard me looked down at my feet and said, “But you look sooo cute with those on!”
…Comfort is important, but I’ll deal with slight discomfort if I look good in what I’m wearing.
a little of both but usually comfortable. and by that, i mean either a t-shirt and shorts or a somewhat nice shirt and jeans. only when i’m home do i do all-out comfy- sweats and t-shirts cuz i like looking somewhat presentable when i go out. comfortable and presentable, not sloppy. =)
Depends on where I’m going/what it’s for.
a bit of both, just not sloppy
Whats wrong with both?
comfy is where it is at.
You can be comfortable and still look good.
I only buy clothes that are comfortable and look good, so everything I wear is nice. Even last weekend when I spent 10 hours in a formal and heels, I was comfortable. Besides, nicer clothes tend to run big, so I can wear a smaller size. Think about it… size 14 regular jeans or size 6 petite formal? There’s really no question there…
look good
hello! im shiro! nice 2 meet u! nice site!
Both, but in public I think looking presentable overrules. First, second and third impressions and such. Comfortable, definately at home, though.
be comfortable. i stay in my pjs at home a lot. i don’t look like a slob in public, but i still where comfortable clothes. i don’t care too much about looking good. i don’t even wear make-up yet.
oh wait today i looked good and was comfortable. it was the first day of school, so i had to look good =)
With some of my outfits I’ve managed to combine both…but most of the time I like to be comfy at home and look good when I’m in public…especially when I’m performing.
Look good
My perspective is if I want to wear it I will wear it and if it is uncomfortable I will not complain about it.
Be comfortable. But the thing is- you can have both. Lol, have you watched “what not to wear” before? Hahahahah… you can dress nicely and still feel comfortable. Of course it’s not the extremely comfy sweats and a huge sweatshirt but… can’t we save that for night/bedtime? lol
bit of both,
xX-Nicole-Xx
in between. i’ll wear polos collared shirts and jeans or khakis, but some times i’ll just wear a t-shirt and basketball shorts.
comfortable
Definatley look good.
Unless I’m sick or something.
comfortable please
I want it all at a price I can afford. Cotton, cotton, cotton.
Look good.
look good. do u want to look like a slob everywhere u go? u can sacrifice comfort for a while.
comfortable if I couldn’t choose both
You don’t do this for a living?
Be comfortable. 99% of the time, you’ll find me in jeans, tennis shoes, and a baggy t-shirt.
studies have shown that the clothing you wear actually greatly affects your mood
so the better you look… the better you present yourself
this actually is why you are encouraged to dress a certain way in most job settings
so if im looking to just laze around and chill with friends… id much rather be comfy
but if im going out somewhere…anywhere … its all about looks
because i just prefer the personality i exude
and i find no reason to be ashamed of enjoying looking good
well, as a college kid, it is all about the comfort zone. as a student teacher for music, i am still looking at comfort. as a musician, i am looking for what looks good over what feels good when i am doing a gig.
look good. comfort is overrated.
Both.
=)
Look good. Depends on how uncomfortable I am though. Usually I’m comfortable in things I “look good” in. But if it’s too much discomfort, not for me.
Look good
dress for comfort
Comfortable
The older I get, theless I care what people think of me, so I go with comfortable.
Neither.
I like finding the space between. You can be comfortable but still look pulled-together and nice.
I try to balance it. And get both as much as possible.
Mine looking good probably isn’t the same as yours though. Haha.
*My.
Both =) I cannot stand being not comfortable in my own clothes! Whut would be the point of buy it if you can buy something that you can look & feel good in?
I’d rather wear comfortable clothing that I think looks nice.
=]
I choose both!
Comfortable. When I’m comfortable, I’m damned efficient!
Both, it’s not too hard to do.
I go for comfort every time.
I have always heard “if you look good, you feel good.”
I scoff at that phrase. I will take comfy any day of the week…
Look good.
The first and last time that I wore a pair of panty hose was at my first dance in seventh grade .Honest to God you could tie them up around your head and the crotch would still hang down,I do not suppose a woman invented them!
comfort all the way, i usually look pretty good no matter what i’m wearing as long as i smile!
Well, I’m going to turn a superficial question into a (semi-) deep answer. Comfortable, unless the situation requires otherwise.
Our society puts WAY too much emphasis on looking good, as evidenced by bittersunday’s comment. I don’t see (or rather I do, being brought up this way) why it is so important to judge by first impressions. Clothing is definately a first impression.
See, there! You probably just judged me. But were you right? Would it surprise you to know I am a teenager? A guy? An Eagle Scout? And the top of my playlist? What’s your guess, Green Day? Nope. Michael W. Smith, Relient K, Mercyme, the list goes on.
I buy clothes that give me both
You work and do something else besides write posts and read everybody’s comments everyday? Ha ha ha! Keep it up…i enjoy it a lot!
both
Or you could be confy and look nice at the same time. I wear alot of American Eagle, Abercrombie and Finch, and also Hollister, so I look good most of the time. But there’s always that one day that I bust out my baggy jeans and a hoody!
I would rather look good… heels that I have are the most uncomfortable things in the world but they are awesome… however, all the other clothing I have is cool and comfortable. Even the skirts (as much as I protest to weariing them).
cant i do both?
Both. Nice clothes doesn’t always mean uncomfortable clothes.
Be comfortable.
But I attempt both.
Finding clothes I like, and if they are comfy, I buy them.
Not too hard for me at least.
I can look good and be comfy… but not everyone is as cool as me.
I’d rather be comfortable.
try to do both.
look good when i’m out, be comfy when i’m in. :]
I would never want to choose completely between an incredibly uncomfortable awesome-looking outfit and a super-comfy absolutely horrible-looking outfit. Both would make me unhappy. It might be sort-of fun to wear something really dorky, but if it’s what I would consider hightly distasteful, then I wouldn’t want that. If I had to make that decision, I would want to alternate between looks and comfort, but if that wasn’t an option, I might go for looks. Liking how you look can make your mind happy, while comfortable clothes make your body happy. Then, again, how your body feels can impact how your mind feels, and mind over matter can apply. I can feel the way I feel regardless of what I’m wearing, so it probably doesn’t. I don’t enjoy wearing what I consider very stylish things, if I feel that they’re not me. Clothes that I like to wear for looks are ones that I think don’t belong to much of a style, or have something that I’ve added on to it. For me, it might make more sense to choose comfort, because I don’t care much about how I look. In conclusion to this long rambling paragraph, I have no idea.
Comfortable. You work?
some people fool themselves into thinking that stylish clothes are also comfortable when, more often than not, they are not…
be comfortable.
i dress for me, not for others to see.
Comfy for school and hanging out.
Dressed up for dates.
Depends of what is comfortable!
I tie a dimple in a tie very well, and iron my shirts perfectly (thank you OCD and experience as a maid/houseboy) but today walking around the west villiage I saw a man wearing a pair of jeans, ending above the ankle and a designer button down cinched at the waist. He had a sweater tossed over one shoulder.
I was wearing cargo pants from wal-mart, which are shredded at the cuffs, a pair of old beat up tims from 2002 and a colorful ringer T from old navy. My jewelery is made out of tulsi (a kind of wood)
I hadnt shaved in a few days and my hair was rockstar oily bedhead.
I wondered who we were trying to impress with our garments, and if we would be successful in such an endeavor.
I could never really feel comfortable in designer clothes, or such a cookie cutter fashion cutout outfit, I feel it would not be me, or authentic, or even remotely interesting.
That last point is interesting. Remotely interesting.
If I actually still looked good, then a little discomfort is fine by me. But generally, when my clothing is not comfortable, its too tight, and then it doesnt look good either.
I never dress up. Ever. I wore jeans and a t-shirt to my cousin’s wedding in June. I don’t even remember the last time I dressed up.
-KrIsTiN-
DID JESUS WANT TO LOOK GOOD OR BE COMFORTABLE? That’s the question.
when have looks become a sense of survival. you wear kloth to keep warm and obey the law. and why’ll your at it why not just be komfortable with what you look like. if not, just go the whole 10 yards and get plastic surgery and look like a diff. person.
Keep it reals
Comfy.
But it’s hard to look bad in anything I wear
comfortable
the trick is to do both
i find its possible to achieve both.
Both, if possible, if I had to stick to one or the either, I would choose comfort.
Look good.
comfort, but I’d like to look nice and be comfortable
abit of both.
Comfort rules – dressing up sucks.
Screw the good looks, I say, give me back my worn down, soft and simple clothes! I almost lost it when my sister threw out my whole wardrobe (she called it ‘drab’) and brought me all the latest fashions that may look good, but are so damn impractical it’s rediculous! Why have holes in your jeans in winter?!
’nuff said…..
Both. I choose clothes that look good and are comfortable. They do exist.
♥sexy and Hot♥ and Fly clothes
depends on the day…but mostly comfortable. I used to sacrifice comfortable for looking good, now I try to find a happy medium.
Sometimes they have clothes that can do both!
Comfortable…when I dress up, people semm to knotice me more, and I don’t like to be noticed, appreciated, yes, noticed, no.
Both. Mostly, it depends on my mood.
based on the looks i get from strangers and coworkers, i would guess that i prefer comfort over style. i do think, however, that it’s possible to have both, although the larger a person is, the more difficult that can be.
Comfortable… though I do believe that it is possible to do both.
Comfy
both!
impeccable.
clothes are the man’s armor.
Both if at all possible. I tend to think that loose, comfy clothes do look good, though, so it’s not so difficult as it would be if I followed the trends.
both but comfort first
definitely comfy
If youre a snazzy dresser, you can do both.
look good, both if possible.
i woul rather look good.
I don’t have that problem.
Well, unless I wear a skirt or something that shows clevage. But I don’t because I hate them and can be dressed fancily without them.
Comfortable, if im goin out and i look good but am not comfortable then I’ll be miserable.
both…but gun to my head…comfortable.
comfy…but stuff that still looks good on me.
Well i look good in my clothes but they are still comfy..i dont know…i want comfy clothes but they got to be cute.or i wouldnt be me..id be a poser and im not a poser so i got to dress cute.
i wanna dress up as a chocolate chip cookie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’d rather look good. I’m fashion conscious.
i’m comfortabible while i look good. go jeans and t shirts! woot!
It depends on my mood. Like if I’m feeling ugly, I would rather wear clothes thst I KNOW I look good in. But if I’m in an I don’t give a *&^*%^%$ what I look like mood, I wear whatever I grab out of the drawer.
Ah another “either / or” dilemma…
I’m all about comfort!
Both.
its spelled nowadays
both
