  • Dying

So is there any cause worth dying for?

  • Changing Faith

The two kidnapped journalist were released from the Gaza Strip today.  The two were forced to say on videotape that they had converted to Islam before they were released.  (At this rate, Islamic Militants have to kidnap two people a day for the next 3 billion years in order to convert everyone to Islamic beliefs).

Would you be willing to say that you converted to Islam on videotape in order to be released from captivity?

  • T-Shirt

An article was linked by fark.com about a man who said he was stopped in an airport for the t-shirt he was wearing.

His name is Raed Jarrar.  He was wearing a t-shirt written in Arabic that said “we will not be silent.”  Apparently a couple of other passengers complained that they were uncomfortable with his shirt.  So he was asked to change his shirt.  He resisted but finally was concerned he would miss his flight.

I looked at his website and he had some stuff about nonviolent resistance.  He had a news conference afterward.  I am not sure that should make a difference.  I wonder if there were other subtle clues he was sending out.

Should a person wearing a t-shirt with Arabic writing be pulled aside and questioned?

  • Seven Deadly Sins

There are said to be seven deadly sins:

    # 1 Pride

    # 2 Lust

    # 3 Envy

    # 4 Anger

    # 5 Covetousness

    # 6 Gluttony

    # 7 Sloth

Which one do you think is the easiest to hide?

  • Hurricanes

The concern last time was that there was not enough warning for the citizens of New Orleans of the coming hurricane.  Some felt that the whole thing was racist.

Now the head of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said today that the levee system in New Orleans may not hold up against a sizable hurricane.

A Tropical storm called “Ernesto” is headed toward that direction.  It is expected to be a hurricane before it hits land.

So I want to make it very clear this time:

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES

  • TMI (Too Much Information)

I have noticed that people tend to share information on xanga in a pretty open way.  Some will share all about their sex lives.  Others will share that they are PMSing.  Some will talk about troubles in their marriage.  Still others will talk about the struggles they are having with their children.

Xanga is an online journal and so it is only natural that people would talk about their pain and struggle.

Is there such a thing as TMI on xanga?

  • Statistics

A recent study suggest that 68% of statistics are made up at the moment that they are quoted.

    Do you trust statistics?

  • Pluto

I was reading in the Wall Street Journal today, or more importantly sweety421′s site, about the demotion of Pluto as a planet.  The International Astronomical Union general assembly voted to demote Pluto as a planet on Thursday.  I am not sure who died and made them in charge of the Solar System.  They are now classifying Pluto as a “dwarf planet.”  (Apparently they didn’t get the memo that they like to be called “little people planets.”  They also have every right to reproduce planets).

Needless to say, astrologers are up in arms.  Apparently this puts Scorpios in a potential dangerous position.  In fact, the leaders of the American Federation of Astrologers and the Astrological Association of Great Britain are saying they will still regard Pluto as a planet.

So we have a battle between the Astrologist and the pseudo science of the Astronomers.  I personally am standing by the Astrologist.  If we give into the scientist on this one, we will lose the battle against them in the whole “the Earth isn’t really flat battle.”

Are you with the Astrologist or the Astronomers?

  • Heavy Metal

Do you think if you play Heavy Metal music backwards that it really has satanic messages?

  • Prayer

About how many times a day would you say you pray?
