  • Blasphemy Challenge

A group is trying to get people to commit blasphemy against God.

They are asking people to upload a video on youtube and blasphemy God on the video.  The person must say somewhere in the video “I deny the Holy Spirit.”

They are basing it on a Bible verse in Mark 3:29 that says ”Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.”

They then are sent a free DVD called The God Who Wasn’t There

They want atheist to put it all on the line and send their souls to hell or defy what they call a superstition.  Here is the link:  Link  Here is an example of a girl committing the blasphemy:  Link

  • 12-year old Sex Change

A 12 year old, who is now 14, became the youngest sex-change patient ever.

Her name is Kim.  She used to be Tim.  She has not had the gender-transforming surgery because she can’t until she is 18.  But she is receiving the hormone injections which will stop her male development.

The doctor said, ‘There is no doubt of the determined wish, which was already detectable since early childhood. It would have been very wrong to let Kim grow up to be a man.”  Here is the link:  Link

  • Civil Rights

A UK paper is reporting that the UK government is considering placing X-ray cameras on lampposts.  This will help identify “armed terrorists and other criminals.”  The reason this would be controversial is that the cameras will see through clothing.  Here is the link:  Link

I want to stop here for a moment.  Do you realize how civil liberties are thrown out the door these days with one simple word attached?  What is that word?  “Terrorists.”

Now you will have people say, “Dan, that is the UK.”  But the US and the UK have mirrored each other on these issues on so many fronts.

Almost every time I mention any of these issues in a post, some are disturbed.  But so many have the response, “Whatever we have to do to protect ourselves from the terrorists.”

Now let me see what we have done in the name of “protecting ourselves from the terrorists.”  We install cameras on streets.  We allow wiretapping of US citizens.  We first think it is crazy but then find out it is only to protect ourselves from the terrorists.  We allow people to be held indefinitely at prisons with no trial.  But it is ok.  They are “suspected” terrorists.

Finally, someone suggest that an x-ray machine be placed in airports.  People say it is crazy.  But it is optional and it will help us identify terrorists.

Am I the only one who wonders where this will stop?

  • Laser Tag

I have played laser tag before.  It was hard for me to get into it at first.  I couldn’t see the point in it.  I am going to play paint ball for the first time this week.

  • Bed Sheets Part 2

The reason I asked how often you washed your sheets in the last post was because I came across this link:  Link

The picture to the right is a picture of a demodex folliculorum.  It is a tiny mite.  It is said to be .4 mm long.  It lives in your pores and hair follicles.  It is most often found in the roots of your eyelashes.  People with oily skin are more likely to have them.  People that use a lot of cosmetics and don’t wash very well can have a ton of them.

They can cause infections but are considered harmless.

I can’t help but to wonder about how many little critters are actually on our pillows.

Are you going to go wash your eyelashes now?

How often do you honestly wash your bed sheets?

  • Church Part 2

So many people say “I can serve God from home.”

Do you have to attend church regularly in order to be a “real” follower of God?
