My little girl has a tummy ache and I couldn’t hear the people on television… Poor Gwyn
And OMG…
FIRST!
Watched it. Wouldn’t say any of them won…..but I was particular to Sen. Obama.
I live in Australia. It wasn’t on here… or maybe it will be… it’s only 2:48 in the afternoon.
me..i didn’t watch it….so i saved time..therefore i win..
They’re all democrats; they all lose, in my mind.
no.
Nope. Grocery shopping.
Vote for RON PAUL in 2008!!!
He has never voted to raise taxes. He has never voted for an unbalanced budget. He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership. He has never voted to raise congressional pay. He has never taken a government-paid junket. He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act. He voted against regulating the Internet. He voted against the Iraq war.
Basically, he’s the right guy for the job, and he’s got the experience of 18 years spent in Congress. Any questions?
can you truly say there is ever a winner?
I watched the very first South Park episode ever. Cartman got an Anal probe. It was funny. Much better than any debate.
only old people watch debates.
just kidding.
ummmm…. Sanjaya?
Debate? What debate? =P
‘Fraid not. I didn’t even know there WAS a debate. Shows how informed of current affairs I am. Kinda embarrassing.
Politics are too boring and repetitious for me.
I did not watch. Right now, Biology and Chemistry exams trump all debates…
But apparantly Xanga trumps Bio and Chem…
I’m so unproductive
nope, touching myself
my TV doesn’t get any signal whatsoever.
Had a hockey game tonight, but homing to catch the main points of it tomorrow morning.
hoping**
Don’t watch TV.
I had no idea there was a debate last night.
I was going to make my decision based on postings here.
I get all my news from theologians_cafe.
Ben Stiller. Oh, wait — that was a DVD.
I wonder if any of those debaters will actually keep their promises?
Nah, probably not. It would unethical as a politician to keep the promise, wouldn’t it? Never mind the rest of us.
’nuff said…
i didn’t feel like puking last night, so i didn’t watch.
Missed that one. Didn’t even know it was on. Where was the heads up Dan????
Have a great weekend!
Didn’t watch it I had to work :^(
Why do political debates have to be about losing and winning? Probably because that is how debate is taught in schools. What is offered up as debate in political circles in recent years is more like a moderated Question & Answer session than a true debate.
As a patriotic American, I think I would be better served by open discussions of candidates political philosophies, purposes and plans rather than this pseudo debate format that we have fallen into. I would much rather see a series of who and what a candidate is and stands for, (no winner or loser, just an honest presentation) in order for people to decide who is closer to what they personally believe the country needs.
hahahah.. um… what debate? No, I didn’t even know there was one
Fmr. Sen Mike Gravel. I would even go so far to say that he deserves his own reality show.
hillary
Nope, forgot and then didn’t know what channel it was on. TV sucked last night.
I didn’ like Hilary Clinton NOR Obama. :/ Hilary didn’t really show alot of leadership, and Obama hardly talked at all when I watched it. I didn’t watch all of it, fortunatly, because I was out buying stuff at CVS.
I didn’t have time, but even if I had, I probably wouldn’t have watched it. I’m not really into politics.
ummmm…. Sanjaya? Posted 4/27/2007 12:43 AM by HEBCHILL
You win.
Can one really win a debate? I heard a quote once that is fitting for the contrary: Those convinced against their will are of the same opinion still.
And….. we wonder why there is so much apathy?
no… I was having a minor crisis last night and I missed it unfortunately
i missed it… does anyone know how i can view it today? i tried searching for it on youtube but no luck.
i wanted to. anyway, the democratic line-up looks pretty hot this year (so if segolene royal wins in france, and david milleband runs and wins in the UK) it will be like the hottest of western politics! everyone will watch and drool!
I watched part of it and I thought it was funny how someone would spin a basic question about why someone decided to become a senator 5 years ago into some kind of anti bush / war political statement. I turned it off.
I usually don’t have access to a tv(that may change soon). On a simular subject,I do understand both of the Maryland senators voted for that piece of junk they plan to send on to President Bush though. I’m going to make sure I’m able to vote again soon, so I can get rid of them.
what was the debate about? the troops in iraq? if is was, id be for the side that was for keeping them there until the usa’s work is done.
Obama was the best i say
Biden
Psh… no.
I never watch debates. Total waste of time.
No, didn’t even know there was one that night.
Yes, and I just know the dude from Alaska definitely DIDN’T win. He was clueless.
so… to all the people who have an opinion and will vote but didn’t bother to watch the debate – wtf?! i was in england and i’m keeping up with the coverage online, and i can’t even vote! (not a citizen of the states, yet) and i am not addressing those who had legitimate reasons not to check it out… but everyone else – i suppose that’s how we ended up with bush… people never watched him blunder through his debates… at least that explains the first term… it’s your country! and the winner affects the rest of the world given your status as the biggest bully in the sandbox… don’t you give a shit? perhaps academics are right and america is too damned apathetic…
Nope, waste of time, but I’ll watch the Republican debate
Nope. Didn’t even know there was one on.
No. But I like the way that Simon and garfunkel put in there song Mrs Robinson, ” no matter how you look at it you lose”. All politicians are crooks and liars!

Wow. So did anyone watch the debate? This is sad.

short answer: no one.
long answer: everyone
