Heat in the winter. I love curling up under blankets.
Ugh. Both are too horrible to contemplate. I suppose air conditioning.
heat in the winter… you can layer up in winter but you can’t peel off skin during the summer. I’ve lived without both. They’re luxuries, and it’s a luxurious question.
Ha!! 3rd! What’s my prize?
I asked first, Xristosanesti, so you don’t get no prize!

Ooh, I’m fourth! Please excuse my exuberance, it’s late at night and I feel I’m talking in circles with much too many sesquipedalians.
heat, you can always build a fire or put on more clothes, but there is no escaping the heat
I think I’ll choose losing the heat in the winter.
I’d rather lose heat in the winter…you can always bundle up but there’s only so much you can do to cool off.
heat…at least I can bundle up…with A/C….I can only take off so much clothing before I’m naked and overheating..lol.
RYC: Dan, the cover might look creepy, but it’s cool. I’m tired of all posters trying not to scare people. My 6 yo niece looked at it and thought it was amazing!

It doesn’t get too hot in San Diego, so I’d rather lose the AC.
rather lose my cold b/c i can always cool off with shower… you can escape the heat under shade somewhat but the cold is so pervasive… i don’t know, i guess i just can’t stand being cold
Uh oh…..you’ve got a link to my ‘other site’…..whoops.

air conditioning…i hate being cold
heater, I usally block the vent in my room during the summer until last summer when I realized how uncomfortable my room is.
heat. blankets work too… although it can get pretty cold… you could burn stuff though.
heat in the winter. You can always pile on more blankets and clothing. We actually lost power for five days a couple winters ago, and managed to stay warm. In the summer, though, it would be WAAAY too hot.
i would rather lose my air conditioning. mountains provide fantastic shade in the summer. but they do attract their fair share of snow in the winter and i wouldn’t be none too happy to live without heat.
I live in Western Washington. There are Million dollar custom homes here, that don’t have air conditioning. Anything over 80, and we call it a heat wave. We get over 90 about 10 days a year.
I have fan, it is all I ever need.
probably heat, we don’t get very intense winters here. plus with global warming and all, we’re losing winter weather.
Air conditioning, I have a lake I can go jump in to cool off.
SUMMER!!! I hate the cold.
Oh, I would rather lose the AC. I couldn’t stand to be cold. How awful.

haha
The Bible says in Revelation 3:15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!
Air conditioning.
Rather lose the heat because I have a fireplace (sorry Al Gore) and I can always put one more clothes to warm up than I can take off to cool down.
Air conditioning. I’ve lost my heat before and believe me, it is no fun.
I’ve lived sans AC before, but here in MI, you need your heat in the winter.
heat…it’s easier to just add blankets or sweaters…you can’t always go swimming and you can only take so much off.
lose the heat!
heat. I can wear sweaters and extra socks and blankets and shit. but being too hot and sweaty? i’ve been there and it sucks. hardXcore.
ac in the summer
I’ve lived without air conditioning for the last 10 years (or more), but I’m gonna have to go with heat during the winter. I HATE not having air conditioning. It sucks.
Heat in the winter. I can always put more clothes on and bundle up in a warm blanket. No air conditioning in AZ is unbearable.
heat in winter. you can always put on more blankets.
Heat in winter.Im from SOUTH tx.Nuff said.
I could survive with a few blankets and a fireplace…but the heat? Hell no! I get violent when I’m too hot.
Heat
AH!
Um. Heat during the winter, because it doesn’t get the cold here in California.
I have lots of sweaters and stuff…:/
Air conditioning. As good as it is, it’s not necessary. Heat, on the other hand, is–would you like to freeze to death in your own house?
A/C in the summer, definitely. I HATE being cold.
HEAT. I hate being hot.
ac – lived without it this long, wouldnt think it would be too hard to keep going
i’d rather lose air conditioning. the feeling of coming inside from shoveling in the cold weather into a warm, cozy home is awesome.
and i like standing/sitting next to the heater.
I would definitely rather lose my air conditioning in the summer. I hate the winter and I hate to be cold!
I’d rather lose my heat in the winter. I can always pile on blankets and feel fine. When you’re hot in the summer you can’t take anything else off if you’re naked. Oh, and I live in Florida.
Heat, you can always put on a sweater.
lose the heat. I can just put on another sweater if it’s cold.
heat.. I like cold ..as long as I have some nice blankets! haha
heat in the winter. i love winter. plus you can always add layers and wear thermal clothing to keep you warm, but theres only so much you can do to stay cool in the summer.
Air Conditioning. I have a pool. And a freezer.
air conditioning, you can walk around the house in your underpants
AC in the summer
rather loose the heat. blankets and fire can compensate, but there is no way to generate cold.
Loosing heat in the winter.
Heat in Winter, i live in texas so the cold is not my main concern.
I’d rather lose heat. Wearing multiple sweatshirts is all the rage here in the Pacific Northwest.
rather loose heat. It’s easier to heat up that to cool down. I can’t stand the heat!
*R
Heat
air conditioning- i’d just go swimming. (i don’t handle cold well.)
I’d rather lose the heat. I can always put on more clothing or blankets, but I can only take off so much clothing before people start complaining.
I love those hot summer days. So heat in the winter, baby.
Heat in the winter
in Texas, “winter” tempiture is usaly 45-60 degrees
It’s been really cold this year for some reason though….
Easy one…I am definitely a “Winter person”…I’d rather lose heat in the Winter, snuggle up with my husband or rug-up on the couch reading.
A few years back, one of our powerstations got shut down for a few weeks and so the entire state had to stop using airconditioning (we were right in the middle of Aussie Summer) unless you had a health reason. I was actually exempt because I suffer from pretty bad eczema…but I nearly fainted when I first heard them announcing the restriction :p
Sigh…I think I’m too pampered in that way……
Heat.
Definatly loose head in the winter. Can always add more blankets. Kinda harder to add more cool in the summer.
head = heat*
Air conditioning in the summer. I have blankets and clothes to keep me warm in the winter. But nothing cold to keep me cool all summer
heat…i can always put more layers on
I’ve lived all over the U.S. and my answer would be different depending on where I live. Right now I live in Michigan, so I’d definitely do without AC before I’d give up my furnace.
I’m from Michigan. And it’s only VERY hot for a month or so (LoL). So I’m going with no air conditioning in the summer, conclusively.
A/C–I can jump into the swimming pool. It was 85 degrees yesterday, and last night was fairly warm too…I still slept with two blankets on me. I am always cold!
heat in the summer-we live in NC, and it’s always warm in the winter. When it’s not, we can wrap up in blankets.
air in the summer, cause I can’t stand the cold!!
heat because if you lose the cold then you can only get so naked
I would rather lose my air conditioning. We didn’t have air conditioning for a straight year, once, and it wasn’t nearly as bad as not having heat in the winter.
Heat, I have a nice fireplace
If it were just me, I would rather lose my heat in the winter. You can always put more clothes/covers on…you can take only so much off!
However, since I have two small kids at home with me, it really doesn’t matter. Either way we’d probably leave the house & stay with friends or family until it was fixed!
Heat in the winter. You can always put layers on, but you can’t take off your skin.
Seeing as I live in Northern Canada, I’d probably die without heat in the winter. So AC in the summer for me.
Air Conditioning. Humanity has survived for centuries with out it surely we can bear a few ‘hot’ days without it.
I would definitly lose the heating…<3 the cold!! being too warm without air conditioning would be horrible!
Air conditioning. I can always head to Borders or Barnes and Nobles and read, or go swimming or something.
It might be kind of fun to lose heating for a day, maybe two, just for the whole snuggling in blankets next to a fire effect, but I don’t like the rigid feeling my muscles get when they’ve been shivering for too long.
People tend to forget air conditioning is a novelty… but heat is a necessity. People have lived for thousands of years without air conditioning, horribly uncomfortably, but still… If you lived in say, Canada, and your heat went out in the middle of winter and you had no alternative? thats it you’re done. But plenty of people on like, the Equator, have been living without air conditioning in some of the hottest places on earth with no problem. So i guess… since air conditioning isn’t as imporant as heat, i’d haveta go with losing a/c.. plus.. there are other ways to cool off in the summer anyway =P
Heat in the winter. Ughh, our AC got struck by lightning last summer, and it got up to 101 degrees in my house. I was sitting in my bathing suit in the bathtub in ice cold water and I was STILL burning up.
I live in Arkansas. A summer without hear would be hell and I might not even notice a winter without heat.
I would rather loose air conditioning. I’ve lived without it before, granted not in an extremely hot climate like a desert, but it generally doesn’t kill you to be hot. A lot of people can suffer if they lose power in the winter. Plus I hate being cold.
Air in the summer.
heat in the winter, you can always put on more layers but you’ve only got so much you can take off!
air conditioning. i live in wisconsin- it does get hot here but it gets a heck of a lot colder.
HEAT HEAT HEAT HEAT! You can always warm yourself up… it’s much harder to cool yourself down.
Heat in the winter – it’s way easier to warm up than cool off.
AC
We don’t use the AC.
where I live I can manage without heat-and have for several years-but I cannot stand being without a/c!!
dude, AC. Those 90 degree days..they just kill me..
i meant losing the heat..
Shark sandwich
Lose air conditioning. I love being warm
heat in the winter cos there are some things called blankets, but skin cant be removed..
You can bundled up in the winter, but you can’t strip any more past a certain level in summer.
air conditioning.. you can’t sleep when you’re cold.
Heat. There’s always Craigslist to find someone to warm you up.
I’d rather lose neither. Even though I’m a bitch when I’m cold, but I really suffer when I’m hot. My house is very drafty so I live with fairly cold winters, and we don’t have air conditioning so we get hot summers here in the city (and little shade). I can deal with the cold better than with the hot. I can at least cover up when I’m cold. I can’t do much about it when I’m hot. So I guess I’d pick the heating.
I don’t even have AC so I’d say that hahahah… Cold showers and fans only. And losing your heat north of the 49th ain’t cool.
Air conditioning in the summer. I rarely ever have heat in the winter.
i’d rather lose air conditioning. i dont have it anyway and we survive on fans out here in the nevada heat.
i live in texas. if you don’t have air conditioning in the summer. your dead. no heat in the winter? doable. barely gets below 50. and sometiiimes on those rare occasions, it sleets. it doens’t snow. it sleets.
HEAT. i have blankets to keep me warm in the winter.. and just abt nothing besides air conditioning in the summer!
Heat. You can always put more clothing on…but you can’t always keep taking more off.
I think you will find that the answers vary according to region. Since we have only 2-3 “Ice days” in the year, I would definately say I would not mind losing the heat. I would rather have airconditioning when we have our usual 100+ degree heat for 30 days or more every summer. In the summer, it actually feels cool when the temp only climbs up to 95 that day – which that only happens during rain.
This reminds me of how NOT ready I am for summer….
hm..i’d say heat because you could build a fire
heat in the winter
blankets are everywhere.
-Jacob
Heat.
I can always wrap up.
Plus, with hot temps, you get sweaty.
I’d rather lose the heat… It’s harder to cool down than it is to warm up (that, and I live in SoCal, where summers easily reach 100+ (last summer, we had a very humid day and 116 degrees)), and the heat is just disgusting.
I’d have to say air conditioning, since I’ve lived through 130 degree heat in Iraq with no A/C I know I can make it….whereas, the cold, well not so good.
I am, however, perpetually cold after September 1. I may be the only one who welcomes Global Warming (just kidding…)
heat by far
HEAT
Well, you see, I live in MI, and in the winter, it gets below 0 a lot, so I know that a comforter, and three other blankets and wool socks aren’t even enough without heat, so I’d deffinitely lose the AC in the summer.
I’d lose my AC in the summer, I don’t use it half the time anyway… Heat on the other hand… I can’t do without that, i’m a royal B*tch when i’m cold.
Wait a minute, I read the question wrong! I would rather lose my cool air in summer. I have to have my heat in winter!!!!
Losing the heat in the winter! the heat in summer is still bearable. moreover, without air-con, u get an excuse to shop in MALLS! huhuh
I could definetly live without AC. In fact we didn’t have AC until I was a senior in high school.
Heat, definitely. It gets to be about 105 degrees here in the summer. I couldn’t stand that without air conditioning.
Although I like to live in sub-tropical temperatures (according to my father…), I would rather lose heat in the winter – more cuddling!!
Heat in the winter. I’ve already lost my air conditioning, and it sucks beyond all belief.
Lose the A/C in the summer.
ac, definitely. summer it is hot but you can at least survive being outside naked for three hours, especially in the shade. in winter, you could not survive outside naked even if you were in the sun.
heat in the winter. we rarely turn on our heat anyway.
Heat in winter. We have a fireplace insert to keep warm in winter.
I have lived without air conditioning and heat. I would rather do with out air conditioning than without heat (when I was living on the street, I almost froze to death before0_0)
seeing as how i don’t have air conditioning in my house.. i’d rather lose that i live in alaska, it’s not needed (though sometimes i wish we had it)
Heat in the winter.
so not fair. I’ve lost AC in texas summers, its horrid and a literal health threat. But I also HATE HATE HATE being cold. But I guess I’d rather be without heat. I have lots of blankets ^_^
leave me a message ok thanks
it is not winter fag
some people need help
heat in the winter.. i can put on more clothes… i live in texas, so it might be different for people up north.
heat in the winter. i would burn some extra calories.
You guys are spoiled, I don’t have AC.
But if I did I’d rather lose it in favor of heat. We lost power and heat here during a winter storm, and our apartment was fridgid. Like see your breath cold. Like die in the night of hypothermia cold. Well, maybe not quite that bad..
Heat in the winter. I am a ‘hot box’. I am always burning up, so in the winter I should be find, and I usually wear a sweatshirt in the winter, so yeah. ;D
hahaha good question…HEAT! id rather lose the damned heat, it gets hot out here where i live and i cannot stay in my pool all day, because then i would eat like a pig.
have a great sunday.
My heat in the winter. It’s a lot easier to warm up when it’s too cold than to cool down when it’s too hot.
Ms. Hanson I know your im this blog I reconize your dog.
heat in the winter..i’ve been through an ice storm without power and it was nowhere near as bad as living in florida after hurricane charlie hit for three days without the AC..
heat in the winter.
id rather lose my heat in the winter
Neither! I’m elemental, baby, don’t have AC!

Ditto.
Air conditioning in the summer! I do Bikram yoga, which requires 90 minutes inside a hot room (110 degrees F)
Air conditioning for sure….c`mon now..It’s 80 degrees in my room right now. I have no problem =]
If I have to choose one I will say heat. I can’t stand being sweaty and sticky during the summer. Being in that environment interfere with my concentration and nothing will get done on time. The difference is that with out the heat I think I can live it more. Don’t like it but, I can use other method to warm up like wearing layers and drinking hot drinks. Like chocolate. Humm…tasty.
Personally, I’d rather lose the heat. Georgia summers are brutal.
ha, you don’t really NEED either in SoCal weather. i personally cannot stand the cold though, so i’d rather keep the heater and lose the AC.
Heat
Ah man… well Ohio winters are FREEZING and summers aren’t that bad… so I’d rather lose the AC…. even though I don’t mind cuddling up in blankets in the winter. But I’d need a shit load of blankets to be warm. I’ll just go to the pool in the summer
I would rather live in a place like Hawaii where you don’t need so much air conditioning or heating.
heat. it’s easier to get warm than to get cold.
id rather lose ac
id rather lose the heat in the winter cause there are other ways you can get warm.. cause you can only get so naked when its hott in the summer…
i live in VA… so heat – i can bundle up and it doesnt freeze that often…
I crank the heat in the winter and rarely, if ever, use air conditioning in the summer. I love the heat!!!
definately heat in the winter. u can stuff of but theres only so much you can take off. lol. plus i live in memphis, it doesnt get TOO cold down here.
Heat definetly. I’m always hot.
the AC… hell even the heat… just wear more clothing… in the winter and less in the summer
a/c
heat…i’m pretty good with handleing cold…and we own alot of blankets………………..
Air conditioning, drink more water and get under a shade tree and you can do well even if you can’t get in any water.
much rather loose my heat… I love the cold and I am used to keeping the heat almost completely off in the freezing cold PA winters… I was pretty poor growing up so I know was to keep warm with out a lot of heat… (1) lots of layers, (2) sleeping naked under the covers (3) turning on the oven and opening the door (its a ghetto fire place) (4) staying at friends houses, (5) taking hot showers/bathes
those are just a few
I’d rather lose my A/C.
Air conditioning. Its easier to cool off than it is to stay warm.
I would rather lose my heat in the winter. It doesn’t get very cold here anyway
> I can always cool down, swimming ‘n what not…. Heat is always hard to come by….

AC
heat in the winter
I grew up without AC. I think I’d survive.
I would rather do with out air conditioning than without heat (when I was living on the street, I almost froze to death before0_0)
seeing as how i don’t have air conditioning in my house.. i’d rather lose that
i live in alaska, it’s not needed (though sometimes i wish we had it)
Heat in the winter.
so not fair.
’nuff said…

Peace on purpose
a/c in summer
