  • Hillary Clinton

An article was linked on drudgereport and digg.com that tried to answer the question “Why women hate Hillary?”

    Photo

It must have received too many hits because it is not available now.   I will link it later if it becomes available.  So now I am just sitting here left to wonder:

    Why do people hate Hillary?

Comments (98)

  • Same reason ppl hate nazis.

  • cause they’re fuckin nazis LOLOL

  • something to think about. i can’t even say why i don’t like her. her voice is very . . . i know i don’t like the sound of it and thati think barack obama’s voice sounds beautiful and musical
    : )

  • I don’t know..

I’m not a huge fan, but some people seem to REALLY REALLY hate her.. And she doesn’t seem like she is someone who is worthy of being hated, in my opinion.

  • because not all women are so against men.  not all women are so female power oriented.

it can’t possibly be because they think her husband is hot.

  • One reason I dislike her: In my eyes her move more towards the center showed that she didn’t really stand for anything other than getting votes and making history.

  • maybe because she stayed with a womanizer for political gain.

She’s not really a lady…she basically has huge balls.

and she’s also a radical liberal…atleast Bill was a moderate liberal.

  • Cause she’s a woman?
    Everyone thinks she’s a radical?
    Psht I dunno.

  • I don’t know why I don’t like her… I just don’t. I can’t help it.

  • Because, in a creepy way, she reminds us of Annette Benning’s character from American Beauty. She’s all image, all plastic smile–how much substance or sincerity is there beneath?

    Vote Obama!

  • Because she gives bad head, duh.

Otherwise Slick Willy could’ve kept Little Bill in the presidential pants.

  • ^Yohsiph makes a good point as well–how much of her politics is really what she believes, and how much is just what she calculates will get her elected?

  • Because if she becomes president she’ll be like a woman dictator….and because she’s scary.

  • Doesnt stand for shit, an opportunist.

And she just generally comes across as a shrill bitch to me.

  • are women supposed to like because she’s a woman?

  • She’s terrifying. She’s a liar. She’s a suck up. She’ll do whatever it takes to get the vote. She can’t be trusted with anything. She wants to turn America into her own private little Russian doll house.

  • Look at her. She looks scary. She’d make babies cry or, rather, eat babies.

  • i agree…she’s definitely a baby eater…

  • I don’t hate her. Her politics suck but that is not hate. She is no worse than Edwards

  • I don’t hate her.

I just don’t want her in charge….. of anything that might pertain to my life.

  • Because she’s frikkin’ crazy? Because she does nothing but try to gain as much power as she can? Because her views are so skewed as to not have any basis in reality? Gee, I dunno… :/

  • She’s a liberal. That makes her something less than human, and therefore excempt from Jesus’ command to love our neighbor.

  • She’s also not the most unifying force in American politics. She’s more of a polarizing force. Which isn’t what we need in this increasingly polarized red-vs.-blue America. We need someone that can win the heart of the moderates, and that both sides can respect even when they disagree with.

If the election race comes down to a choice between Obama and McCain, I will be happy. I can see either of them being a unifying force. If the election race comes down to a choice between Clinton and Guiliani, I will be… decidedly less happy. I’m still sorting through what I feel about Edwards.

  • Why don’t we hate hillary?

  • ^^what is that suppose to mean? w/e.

but i agree with some of the people above- i by no means hate her. i admire her in a way- fighting for what she wants. but i wouldnt vote for her- simply because of her politics.

    i agree- vote obama.

  • Liberal/Conservative, Democrat/Republican aside, people don’t think she’s attractive. No one understands her policies, and the media always releases pictures of her in mid-word or screaming.

  • I love Hillary :)

  • I just don’t agree with her policies around the world and internally in the United States. It seems like she’s getting votes for just HATING bush in general and against the war in Iraq.

  • She married Bill….bleh…….and she has cankles….

    Candy

  • I don’t find her sincere…she seems to have an element of detachment to almost everyone and every thing that keeps her focused on her ‘wants’. In the 70′s she was a liberal and an idealist. Now she’s just scary. She gives powerful women a bad name.

  • idk…maybe cause people arent ready for a girl president..they dont think she’s strong enough so they’ll find any excuse they can to hate her!…idk..i dont care either way.lol.

  • …even if Hitler came back from the dead, puncked a hole in a baby and wore it like a hat… Hilery would not be the lesser of two evils.

  • I don’t hate her. I might even vote for her unless someone better comes along.

  • Stop linking conservatives with Jesus–you make baby Jesus cry, or rather, you’re eating Him alive.

I swear, nothing will be solved with your skewered views. Think. Hard.

  • People hate Hillary because they are afraid of change.
In this patriarchy, a woman as president will upset the system & uncertain changes worry many.
I am sure there are other reasons, but this is no doubt one of them.

  • maybe cause shes the wife of bill clinton who cheated on her… im not saying its fair but it would be odd to have an adulterous husband who is the ex-president and now be the first-man of his wife, the first woman president.

it just sounds confusing trying to explain it… lol
    thats all im saying
    Daniel (doubledb)

  • I don’t hate her, but she scares me….  And not many women do that….

  • I’m not afraid of a woman president. I can think of several women, both Republican and Democrat, that I could see being great presidents.

    Just not her.

  • She stayed with her cheating husband…I have no respect for her.

  • I guess the article had other urls? Assuming it’s the same article. Here, Dan!

    http://www.hillaryproject.com/index.php?/sg_distro/comments/why_women_hate_hillary/

  • Reading all the comments, I have come to conclude that most people who hate Hillary do so because they:

    1) Don’t like how she looks
    2) Really have no clue why, it just seems popular

  • I don’t think that I hate her, but things that scare me make me a tad cautious in my regard for them.

  • I hope she wins.
    Although it seems unlikely.

  • Because she’s white.

  • And because she doesn’t do the Democrat’s “thumb.”

  • I am a liberal and a pretty feministic oriented woman. HOWEVER, I do not like her because her stance on certain issues. Personally (and I try not to hold this against her, but I do), I wish she would have divorced Bill Clinton when he admitted the affair. A real, confident woman of her calibur and intelligence would have split. Instead, she stayed in the relationship for political reasons. Also, personality wise, she’s too aggressive for many conventional women. I hear that alot from some of my more conservative friends.

I dont think she has a chance at going past the primaries. It will be a good run though. Even if you are not a liberal, you have to admit that she has come very far for a woman in the political world. That’s admirable.

  • Im mostly just opposed to politicians who arent attractive men.

  • I think it’s lame when someone says we are afraid of change. Just because Hilary sucks doesn’t mean the US couldn’t handle a woman president.

Hilary has some more radical liberal views. The US is moderate as a whole…seriously it would never work with Hilary.

  • Look at her. She looks scary. She’d make babies cry or, rather, eat babies.

    Ever heard of Dick Cheney?

  • She’s a liberal. That makes her something less than human, and therefore excempt from Jesus’ command to love our neighbor.

Congratulations! You sound like a typical Christian: a complete hypocrite.

  • (Jimmyjazz86, I think XristosAnesti was being sarcastic.)

  • Holy crap! The orange! Oh the humanity!

  • I don’t really care either way.  My parents both like her and are voting for her.  I don’t like or dislike her.

  • I don’t get why people don’t like her because her husband cheated.  WTF?  How does that have anything to do with her??

As for the person who said they don’t like her because she didn’t cop out of the marriage and get a damn divorce like 50% of all Americans…

Well, that’s just one of the stupidest things I’ve read in a while.  Congrats, you’re a dumbshit.

  • She stayed with her cheating husband…I have no respect for her.
Posted 4/28/2007 9:51 PM by SmileManager

^^^  Dumbshit statement.  I find it hilarious that people blame the person who was cheated on, rather than the person who cheated.  If you’re going to lose respect for someone, lose it for the PERSON WHO CHEATED.

I just think it’s a thinly veiled form of sexism, personally.

  • its hard to put into words, i just kind of cant stand her

  • “She’s terrifying. She’s a liar. She’s a suck up. She’ll do whatever it takes to get the vote. She can’t be trusted with anything. She wants to turn America into her own private little Russian doll house.”
Posted 4/28/2007 8:44 PM by Mommybug

You’ve just described the majority of all upper level politicians.

  • I don’t hate her, but I dislike a lot of things about her.

  • “She stayed with her cheating husband…I have no respect for her. Posted 4/28/2007 9:51 PM by SmileManager

The only thing that was really stupid about smile’s comment was that she was basing her respect for Hillary on how she reacted to a very personal dilemma which, by all rights, she can choose to leave or stay as she pleases. I highly doubt anyone has any true idea what their relationship is like minus the media hype and spin.

  • It’s nothing personal, really. Some people think she is just using her gender to garner votes. Plus, people simply aren’t used to having a woman as president. I get the feeling that her whole campaign is just one big attempt to be “pro-feminine/women are the future and hold the REAL power” and she doesn’t really know how to handle affairs of the country. That’s just the sense I get, though. I don’t hate her. Just her motives (or at least, what I think her motives are).

  • nobody likes hilary because she is hilary. yeah i intentionally left out one “l”. but… she claims to support the troops but at the same time she is prepared to support the funding cut for our troops. anytime a democrat is elected into office they always take money away from the military and put it to places that DO NOT help tyhe american people. as this happens our military units dont get what they should for putting their lives on the line every day.  when you take funding away from the military than the military can’t purchase the things that they need to keep our nation safe, therefore making our security weaker. WAY TO GO DEMOCRATIC LEADERS…YOU SUCK!!!

  • Senator Clinton, recent national polls indicate the majority of the general public has an unfavorable view of you right now at this point in time. Why do you think Republicans are looking forward to running against you with so much zeal?

SEN. CLINTON: Well, Brian, you’d have to ask them. I’m sure that they would give you all the reasons. But from my perspective, it may have something to do with the fact that I have stood up for what I believed in. I tried to achieve universal health care back in ’93 and ’94, and I still have the scars from that experience.

You know, I take it as a perverse form of flattery, actually, that if they weren’t worried, they would not be so vitriolic in their criticism of me, because I believe that the country is ready for change.

I believe America is ready now for universal health care. It is ready for a new energy policy; it is ready to deal with global climate change; it is ready to clean up the government after the corruption and the cronyism of the Bush years; it is ready once again to be a leader in the world, where we create alliances instead of alienation. I think that’s what they’re most worried about, because I am serious about doing that. I am serious about getting the presidency once again to lead, and I believe I’m ready to do that.

  • I hate everybody…but I happen to love that picture Dan…it’s perfect for an upcoming post…thanks!

  • So many people don’t like her because she stayed with her husband. I am sure she made a very difficult personal decision to do that, and admire her for her resolve in not ending her marriage. Maybe it wasn’t for political reasons – who’s to say Bill isn’t a political hinderance for her? I would be more likely to vote for her if she wasn’t married to a former president. I honestly think part of the reason people don’t like her is veiled sexism. She is a powerful woman, and maybe she’s a bitch. To echo someone jimmyjaz in a different context, ever heard of Dick Cheney? A man can get a way with being powerful and direct and a little fierce. A woman who is the same is called a bitch or “scary.” Why don’t we focus on the woman’s politics here? Also, every presidential candidate has to move toward the center to get votes, so that’s not unique to Hilary. Btw, anyone notice that we all call her by her first name, but Obama by his last? Is it because there already was a Clinton, or because she’s a woman?

  • i think people are afraid of having a female president.  so many things say “She’d be like a woman dictator” and “She’s just crazy.”  it seems like labeling Hillary “crazy” or being like a dictator are just people not being used to females with power.

  • Because she is a an opportunist and a lousy politician with no people skiils, no sense of humor, and she rides a broom to work!

  • I dunno. I like that shirt.

  • I don’t hate her.  I just think she’s a stupid bitch with a big ego.

  • Look at the photo. Cuddly, yes? humorous? hmmm…..hasn’t made ME laugh yet….hmmmm

  • She’s a fucking hypocritical lier, that’s why.

I’m all for having a Democratic president, but she is not a democrat. She changes her views depending on her audience. I’m pretty sure the only reason she’s running is for the sake of winning. She doesn’t even know what she’s doing.

  • I have no repect for her… She is a power-hungry opportunist b*tch. I do not hate her, but I would never vote for her.

  • I think the sentiment that American’s hold toward Mrs. Rodham-Clinton is disgust, rather than hatred.  She has long ago declared her corrupt heart to the American people.  Now she denies who she is, implying that the People of this great nation are so incapable of thought that we don’t see the obvious contradiction.  Second, and most important, for those of us who believe in God, the possibility that Mrs. Rodham-Clinton is taken seriously in her ambition, is a pathetic commentary on the lack of male leadership in this great nation.  To send a woman to lead our military into combat, is a humiliation to this Nation.  Placing a woman in a position of authority is contrary to the social order established by God.  I recognize that mocking convention is some sort of rite of passage for today’s youth, but not speaking out on this one is akin to providing a loaded gun to a toddler.

  • Bittersunday, I agree with absolutely everything you’ve said.
(aside from not having an opinion of her, ahaha)

  • Spiritual_Muscle…wow. What to say to this…

Get out of the middle ages. Women have just as much place in society as men do. Women and men are equal; there is absolutely no superiority or inferiority. And your comparison of women to toddlers is childish and makes no sense.
I think anyone sending our military into combat is a humiliation. WHY are we pround of killing people? Why do we give awards to those who have been injured by hatred and kill others? I’d like to see an award given to a military person who saved some innocent lives. Or an award given to a citizen for loving someone, not hating them.

  • Maybe if she opened her mouth like that for Bill . . .

Really, though, she’s grubbing for power and EVERYONE (except the voters of New York) know it.

  • because she’s a two faced lying bimbo !

  • I don’t like her socialist ideology, but I don’t hate her.

  • Because she tried to speak with a southern accent. I hate it when people are not themselves—-wait, maybe she WAS being herself—A FAKE!!!!!!

  • For me, it all happened in 1992 when she alluded to “We Are The President.”

‘Ya knew where she stood from that day on.

  • People are threatened by strong women. Conservatives and certain others are very threatened by anyone they see as “liberal” or progressive. But to be fair, Hillary is not really the most ingratiating personality, as was her husband. I think it actually will come down to people’s comfort levels. A woman prez is still not within people’s comfort levels. So, they are threatned by Hillary.

We need to get over what is left of our most backward attitudes.

  • I cannot STAND her! She’s obnoxious, incredibly phony, stupid, etc. For me, it has NOTHING to do with the fact that “OH WOW, she’s a RADICAL WOMAN!” I honestly couldn’t give a shit about that. I just can’t stand how she operates.

  • i dont hate her

  • Hillery rhymes with Pillory:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pillory

both remind me of each other0_o

  • The same reason why I hate doing chores.

  • Whoa! ChrisRusso, you’re right, she does sort of remind me of Annette Benning’s character from American Beauty. Creepy indeed…

  • Because of the things her and Bill did. And I don’t mean sexually. I would be all for a woman president, just not her.

  • You know it’s funny.  When I hear her talk, I kind of WANT to like Hillary.  Of all the clips of the debate I watched, she comes off as the most intelligent, articulate, confident person up there. . .all good things.  But I’d never vote for her, because her values are so different from mine.

  • Because she’s a scum-sucking road whore.

  • I don’t like her because of her husband.
And I wouldn’t want a woman as a president because it would bring the country down even worse than liberals already want to. She will screw up more than her stupid ass husband.
Bill shut down military bases & cut pay, I’m sure she won’t be too different and “in times like these” that is not what we need to be doing. We need to be strengthening out military because of the increasing threats.

…And, of course, she is a nasty liberal.

  • Hmm…let’s ask someone who hate her?

    any takers?

This “man” has his own right to an opinion, but his opinion and disgusting leaving only the taste the past in his comment. His sexist belief is something far from the present and I feel like this is why our nation has come to a sudden halt in expansion of ANYTHING. Because of their cowardly thoughts and their literally stupid opinions.
    AGH!

  • Arrogant, and against gay marriage.

  • Because in your picture she is saying ” it is just a little lie, but even that depends on what you mean by a lie “
