Well, at least I’m not paranoid when I try to make myself look presentable when I go out running
Pahaha, Invasion of Privacy? I don’t even know the chicks name!
I didn’t know that. It’s kinda creepy. It’s getting so a person can’t do something embarrassing in public and think they’re getting away with it anymore!
Yes that is extremely creepy in my opinion.
I think as long as they are showing things classified as “in public” that no, they are not. However, if they start showing inside people’s home windows…then YES.
Fricken Sweeeeeeeeet ♥ flyy_quotes
Not if what they show occurred “in public.”
There could be issues if they show things that were in assumed privacy (i.e. fenced yards…)
yes! i found my house really easily and it was a little creepy
So much fun
Umm actually these people are uploading the photo themselves. I have done it before.
thats kinda cool.
Only if they start showing what’s inside my house. Until then, they’re not showing anything the neighbors can’t see.
now if they can only look into my next door neighbor’s window.
They shouldn’t have these cameras on the street. I’ll accept the roof of buildings.
wow, you can see my office! is this contantly updated, so that you can see people walking in and out?
Nah, its kind of fun. So what if my face/license plate is on the internet. I haven’t done anything wrong.
Absolutely, why do civilians even need that type of technology?
Nah. It’s a little weird, but if you’re out on a city sidewalk, people see you. It’s no big difference whether they see you in real life or on google maps.
that is totally creepy. kewl, but creepy.
Hah, that’s awesome.
Hmm….I’m gonna say yes on this. I agree with collsion_kiss.
If you’re public…i.e. streets, sidewalks, outside of a building, baseball game, etc…..there is no privacy privileges.
They’re not an invasion of privacy, but I’m suffering from Orwellian feelings of paranoia anyways.
Could just be the tacos I ate for lunch, though…
nah, i think it’s fine
i could just go out to the street and gather some license plate numbers if i really wanted them
Wheee… I wonder if they caught me with that damn girls haircut on Friday?
Kinda creepy, but the way of the world as we know it~ Anyone ever seen Deja Vu with Denzel Washington? We’re not too far from that either….
Ah. Big Brother. It makes me nervous. Very, very nervous. I expect Thought Police soon…
I find it a bit disturbing…
I think it’s kind of neat. Not everyone is physco insane and out to get me. I may not have liked it a few years ago though.
If you are outside, how can it be an invasion of privacy?
wow,that is plain awesome.
gina
Dude. I just found a picture of the top of my house with the Sattelite view; I can see the boat stored on the side of my house, the car, my backyard, the fire hydrant in front…. FREAKY.
Yeah, but Google is a good big brother.
I do, my bathing suit is on UNDER my clothes!
aahhhh.. did you read the drudge report today?
.. I googled my address. SO SCARY. You can see my house, my plants, my heatlamp up on the deck, and if you do a 360… you can see my car parked across the street! .. and I can tell they took the pic after Easter of this year….. long story…
I googled my house and it didn’t show any photos or my license plate so I think it’s a fluke.
No, that’s awesome!
OMG, yes, they invade privacy. They give avenues for stalkers to know someone’s whereabouts. If that stalker is obssessive enough, he can use programs like these to count tabs on whoever he’s harassing.
Whoa that’s cool!
Except it is a bit creepy
But still kind of cool…
Eeeep.
Yeah. I’m tired of having my privacy invaded by the government, I don’t need one more thing to do it.
very creepy and everyone thought big brother would be the government, not corporations!
Not sure I like that…………….hugs.
Close…
This is why I like living in the state of Obscurity, where there are no blue outlined streets. That way, nobody can see me walking my overweight, short-legged golden retriever.
I think it is pretty awesome, but then I am not the person or the plate in the pictures. Hugs, Tricia
No! People aren’t going to use GoogleMaps to stalk random people they’ve never met before. Please.
Not if you’re out in the PUBLIC!
I think it’s wrong myself…a total invasion of privacy plus kind of creepy…tone it down a bit Google guys!!
No. That’s really cool!
I didn’t see anything that looked private in nature. People on the street can see your face. People on the street will be able to see your license plate. I don’t think Google maps poses a significant threat to the public’s safety or privacy.
All I can say after my first comment is that I’ve been in my house for almost five years, and they still have a satellite image of before they started building it. Way to stay up to date.
Uhh… that’s creepy. I don’t know how I feel about that.
Well I don’t think they’re an invasion of privacy because it’s not making finding a person any easier than picking up a map. Just because you can see the house clearer doesn’t tell you much about it except maybe the shape and if they have a pool, lol. It’s not like you can see the person. And I think it’s awesome (Google Earth) how you can take a virtual tour of the Grand Canyon at a vertical and parallel level.
And you should try it- Watching House, I mean =]
Oh nvm I didn’t see the picture links. In that case, I think it is.
They are stationary images…but it could be dangerous with information such as those license plate numbers
Very creepy
weird..
Next time the Google camera flies by I’ll be sure to strike a pose… maybe even naked.
Now that
is scary. But, then again, so are a lot of things, and it’s not like Google’s doing anything incredibly wrong… It’s just one of the things that come as a part of today’s world, I suppose – it’s not like they’re gonna go check every picture to blur the license plates of every car and every person’s face…
Sure. Who cares.
they take your picture everywhere all the time, with security cameras and traffic lights, whats the dif?
I don’t recognize her!?
Google has some powerful ass satelites yo.
All you people who are bugged by google maps being able to show you on the sidewalk think about this: God knows what’s going on in your HEAD.
scary thought.
repent and trust.

I see no evil, we take pictures and share them all the time. It doesn’t make me or anyone else more evil.
ha ha.. thats funny what peple need to remember is that these pics are taken and released months or years after the fact
Daniel (doubledb)
Who the hell needs a map that detailed?
OK the faces thing is creepy as heck.
What if someone is in the witness relocation program?
freaky!
Big Brother is here.
Heil Big Bro.
Not so cool.
How the hell did they pull that off??? Me being the tech wiz I am can only conclude that they walked all over the place and took pictures! WTF?!?!?!
big brother already…
It is kind of creepy. But I could actually atleast find my house, which was hot.
omg thats amazing
no way that is sooo cool. im gonna stalk people now. jking lol
that is just creepy. i’m never walking outside again.
At least you know about google map’s existence.
not necessarily, but damn thats creepy.
Woah. I didn’t know big brother was watching THAT closely.
wait what? I don’t see any faces.
It’s not all that up to date, my house which was built about 18 months ago isn’t on the maps yet…

I for one welcome our Google overlords.

Privacy is an archaic notion.
