  • Lap Dance

A judge in Marion County, Oregon ruled that lap dances were covered by free speech provisions in the Oregon Constitution.  A ban had been placed on “sexually exciting physical contact for pay.”  Here is the link:  Link

A dancer had given an undercover officer a lap dance.  (I wonder if this undercover officer was married and if he was, I wonder if his wife likes his new job protecting the community).

    Are lap dances free speech?

  • Fireworks

Is it me, or does looking at the same stupid fireworks every year get boring?

  • Teenage Birth Rate

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention released findings that indicated that in 2005 the teenage birth rate dropped to a 65-year low.

I was just reading an article that was discussing the factors that played into the drop.  The article was crediting both “comprehensive sex education” and a “abstinence-only” message.  Here is the link:  Link

What do you think is more likely to lead to a reduction of teenage pregnancy, a “safe sex” message or an “abstinence-only” message?

  • Shoes

    Would you rather wear

    tennis shoes?

    Or sandals?

  • Reliable Pedias

Conservapedia is a new alternative to Wikipedia that is trying to correct the liberal bias of Wikipedia.

Here is the link:  Link  I first saw it on either Jon Stewart or Colbert Report and I thought it was a joke.

    Wikipedia or Conservapedia?

  • Ticket Scam

Larry Lemay has received four tickets for speeding.

So he is doing what any other American in his shoes would do.  He is suing the state of New Hampshire Department of Transportation.  He wants a judge to order the state to pay for the legal fees he has received for the four speeding tickets.

Larry Lemay believes “many speed limits are set intentionally low so the state can cash in on drivers.”

I am inclined to agree.  Here is the link:  Link

Do you think speed limits are intentionally set low so the state or county can raise money?

  • The 4th of July

I mentioned in my photoblog this photo of Victoria Beckham in front of the U.S. flag.

She was having her photo taken with the other Spice Girls because they are reuniting.  I mentioned in my photoblog that this photo had been at the top viewed at yahoo all day long.  I also mentioned that I could see why.  I know people like to look at the flag around the 4th of July.

But then I noticed in the comments people were mentioning the word “fake.”  That got me thinking.

Do you think that the flag looks fake in this photo?

  • Jesus And Church

Why do you think so many people say they love Jesus but hate the Church?

  • Animal Cruelty and Mitt Romney

We have all seen these dog carriers.

And probably most of us have seen one of these animal carriers on the top of a car or in the back of a truck.

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is coming under fire because of a story he told about traveling with a dog.  He strapped his dog in a carrier to the top of his station wagon on a vacation.

It was against the law in his state and some are calling it animal cruelty.  Here is the link:  Link

Is it animal cruelty to strap your dog in a carrier and let him/her ride on the top of the car?

  • Spanking Paddle

I was watching Fox News this morning where they were talking about Joey.

Joey makes paddles and gives them out for free.

    The Salvati 2400

If you can’t pick one up, he will send you one for only $5.75.

Joey doesn’t believe in spanking a child in anger.  He believes that punishment should be fair and thought out.

He even suggest making an appointment for punishment.  Here is the link:  Link

Is it child abuse to hit your child with a paddle?
